Blade Strike Two Chapter 37 Adian began to wonder what was going on, until he saw who Blake was standing next to. Adian's eyes went wide with surprised, next to Blake stood Danny Valencia, the third baseman for the Minnesota Twins. Danny Valencia was Adian's favorite baseball player. But standing next to Danny was Adian's second favorite baseball player Derek Jeter. Adian stood there with his jaw wide open, he was more or less in shock. Blake noticed Adian standing there and went to talk to him. "Hey are you okay?" Blake asked as he approach the stunned boy. "Is that Danny?" Adian said as he came out of his daze. "Yes, it is. Both Derek and Danny came here to talk to you. Are you up to it?" Blake asked. "They want to talk with me? Really?" Adian asked in disbelief. "Yeah, they came all the way from New York to talk to you." Blake told his little brother. Blake then led Adian over to the three men who were now sitting down talking in front of the tv cameras. From what Adian could hear, they were talking about the upcoming three game series that would be starting tomorrow. Both Blake and Adian listened to the two gentlemen being questioned by Jim Nance. When they stopped for a break, one of the producers came over and asked Adian to join the men. As they walked over to the two men both Pro-baseball players stood up to welcome Adian to the interview. Both Danny Valencia and Derek Jeters introduce themselves to Adian. He knew who both the Pro baseball players were, but he excepted their introductions while introducing himself. "Why don't you gentlemen have a seat and we will have our little interview." Mr. Nance asked the three baseball players. One of the producers brought a chair in and set the chair down between the two-pro players for Adian to sit in. He looked around seeing all of his team mates looking in awe, he knew they were all jealous that he got to give an interview, he also knew if Ryo and Miki were here, they would also be jealous. "Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. We are back and we have been joined by Adian Parks." Mr. Nance said to the camera and the crowd of people that had gathered around. "So, Adian are you enjoying the Little League World Series so far?" Danny Valencia asked Adian. "It has been fun; I have made new friends from all over the world." Adian answered the big ballplayer. "That is the purpose of the Series. To bring together the best players from around the world to celebrate baseball. Just like Major League Baseball brings the country together to provide entertainment for all who enjoy the game. I just wish I would have had the chance to play when I was your age." Derek Jeter told Adian. "Is it true that you have yet to strike out, here at the Little League World Series?" Mr. Nance asked. Of course, he already knew the answer to the question. "I am not really sure. I really don't keep track of things like that. My coaches usually take care of that kind of stuff. I just do what he tells me to do." Adian answered. "Good answer." Derek said as both Danny and Derek laughed as well as the crowd of people gathered around them were laughing. The three ballplayers talked for the next twenty minutes most of the questions were asked about Adian. Like was it true that he had won the little league homerun derby at the state qualifier? Is it true this your first year playing organized baseball? Along with many other questions that Blake had had preapproved. Adian was god-smacked that anybody would want to know anything about him. Let alone two major league players. Both Derek Jeter and Danny Valencia thanked Adian for sitting in with them in on the interview. They said it was a pleasure to talk with someone other than the interviewer. What surprised Adian the most was that both Danny and Derek signed baseballs for him but before they would give Adian the balls he had to sign two baseballs for them. After all the tv crews, players and people left, Adian was left with his team mates. They sat around the campground talked and then played some more hacky sack and pepper. When it finally was time to leave Adian left with Blake and Ben to go back to the baseball fields. Blake parked in the Grove parking lot. Blake and Ben went to their room and Adian left to go back to his room. Adian stripped the minute he got into his room. For some reason he felt sad. He really did want to go diving with Miki and Ryo, he enjoyed the last time the three of them went. Once he got settled, he called John to see if it would be okay for him to go with them tomorrow. He was surprised to find out he could have gone today. Mr. Abe had called and talked to John to make sure it was okay. But then Blake told him about the little surprise for Adian. Adian was happy that he would get to spend tomorrow with Miki and Ryo if they wanted to go diving again. Adian jumped in the shower and decided to go see how the evening game was going. The game was a single elimination game for the last spot in next week's United States title play offs. It would start in about an hour. He decided he was going to wear his Japanese tee-shirt that was given to him by Ryo's father. So, when he finished with his shower, Adian dressed and headed down to the cafeteria to get a quick snack. He had money to get food at the park, but he figured he would save it for later. While in the cafeteria he saw the two boys from the Chinese Taipei, he waved but made no attempt to join them. he had made up his mind if they wanted to be his friends, they would have to seek him out. Adian gathered the snacks he wanted then put them in his backpack, then quickly made his way outside before anyone noticed him. Adian made his way to the ballpark and was about to go inside when someone called out his name. He did not recognize the man who had called his name. He was tall, well-built, with blonde hair and somewhat handsome in a way. He approached Adian and then introduced himself. "Hi Adian, I am Jack Canon." Adian's eyes almost popped out of his head. He had not noticed the other gentleman next to him. It was the announcer who had interviewed him earlier in the day, Jim Nance. "Well hello Adian, it is nice to see you again." "Well thank you sir. It is a pleasure to meet you again and it is a pleasure to me you Mr. Canon. Is there anything I can do for you?" Adian asked. "I was wondering if we could convince you to join us in the announcer's box for this game? I saw your interview this afternoon and was wondering if it would be all right if you could tell us about your meeting with Danny Valencia and Derek Jeters?" Mr. Canon asked. "I don't know, I should ask my brother." Adian told the two men. "Could you give him a call?" Mr. Canon asked. Adian then pulled out his phone and called Blake. When Blake answered he asked if it was okay for him to join the two commentators in the announcer's booth. Blake just told him he could but if they started asking questions about his family or about where he was living to excuse himself and go back to the grove. Adian already knew he had to keep his mouth shut. He did not want to be taken away from the Holands. Once he finished talking to Blake, he headed up to the announcer's booth to have a chat with the commentators. One of the producers was there to meet him and had a chair set up for him like they had expected him to be there. "Welcome to the booth. All we are going to talk about is the game and your interview earlier. We are going to show some clips from the interview and just a little chat about yourself. We promise to only take a little of your time. Then you can go watch the game." Mr. Nance told Adian. Just before the game started one of the producers came back in with a Midwest jersey and a hat Adian could put on. They also brought along a bag full of Red Sox stuff curtesy of Jack Canon and the Red Sox. Adian was excited to see all the baseball cards, the official Red Sox jersey, and a bunch of other stuff. He was amazed and loved what the man gave him. When the broadcast started Adian just sat there and listen to the two men do their introductions they even introduced Adian to the Audience who were watching the game on ESPN. Adian thanked the two men for Allowing him to sit with them. They then went on to talk about the upcoming game and had even asked Adian about what he thought of the upcoming game. When they broke away for commercial breaks, they talked about what would be coming up next. They interviewed Adian during the breaks during the game. They never did ask him questions about his family. Halfway through the game they thanked Adian for joining them. Jack Canon gave Adian a signed baseball and told him when he went professional to come look him up. Adian made his way back down to the stands and spotted a couple of his team mates and joined them to watch the rest of the game. San Antonio Texas ended up winning the game to go on to next week's games. So, the United States side of the bracket looked like this: Midwest Region Wilton Minnesota, Southwest Region San Antonio Texas, West Region Petaluma, California and Mid-Atlantic Region Parsippany, The International side of the bracket looked like this: Japan Region Tokyo Little League, Mexico Region Oriente Little League, Latin America Region Panama Little League, and the Asia-Pacific Region Chinese Taipei Little League. This was going to be one of the best Little League championships in a long time. With four undefeated teams and four teams with only one loss, this was going to be an interesting final week. Adian, Bryan and Bobby made their way back to the grove. What Bryan and Bobby didn't know was that Adian got to meet Jack Canon and he got to do commentary for part of the game. When they went to get a snack, the whole room exploded with cheers as Adian entered the room. The look on all three boys faces told the rest of the room that they had no idea what was going on. How did being on tv feel like one boy asked. Other asked similar questions. Like what it was like to meet Jack Canon. That confused Bobby and Bryan they knew Adian had been interviewed earlier in the day but had no idea that Adian had met Jack Canon prior to meeting up with them. Then Adian set out all the neat stuff that he got when he was up in the booth. Adian set the gifts out on display and the kids that were in the café walked by looking at all the gifts. Bryan and Bobby watched over Adian stuff, while Adian went to get some snacks before the lunch line closed. Once everyone had looked over Adian's gifts he put them away and sat and talked about his little adventure. After a while said goodbye to his friends and went up to his room. He expected to see Miki and Ryo when he returned but they were nowhere to be found. He began to wonder if they were even back from going out with Ryō's father. They must have gone out for supper. Adian figured he could show them his gifts tomorrow after their baseball game. *** "Okay, keep your feet together and bend at the waist, now straighten up and take one step forward as you bounce, once you have completed your balance arch your back and go. Once you are in the air grab your legs and flip. Now try it." Coach Louganis said. Both Ryo and Miki tried, once the boys completed the dive, he had them repeat it again. This was harder than any of Ryo's coaches had ever worked with Miki and him. When they first got into the car and his father said he had arranged with a professional coach to work with them both Miki and Ryo figured it was some old American coach from some diving school. When they got to the pool, they were greeted by some old man that directed them inside. Ryo's dad told the boys to go change while he had a talk with the older man. The boys went into the locker room and were surprised to see other boys changing. There were a few that were their age, but most of the others were much older. Of course, both boys had to check out the others while they were in various stages of dress. The other boys were also checking out the two Japanese boys, some were even surprised at how big the two small Japanese boys' uncut penises were. There were ten other boys' there besides Ryo and Miki. The boys figured they would get very little coaching by looking at all the other boys. When they went out into the pool area, they saw Mr. Abe talking to a younger man. When they saw the boys, they waved them over. The boys did not recognize who the man was, but the other boys that were standing around them did. "Hey isn't that, Greg Louganis." Ryo heard one of the other boys saying. Ryo knew who Greg Louganis was he was the Olympic gold medal winner back in the seventies and eighties. "Good after noon boys today we are here at Williamsport high school diving center. We will be working in groups of four." He went on to tell the boys what they would be doing for the rest of the afternoon. At first, they went over simple first year dives, but as the lessons progressed so did the dives. Before the boys even knew it, they were in the showers with the other boys from the class. Ryo and Miki were in heaven they had never seen so many different sized penises in their lives. Sure, they saw the other boys on their swim team in Japan but not like these. They also realized that Adian was indeed bigger than most boys his age. They also realized that they too were bigger than several of the other older boys. They did notice a few of the younger boys getting an erection. But nobody made a big deal about it. If that would have happened in japan, they would have been teased and more than likely kicked off the diving team. Once they were dressed Mr. Abe picked them up in front of the diving center and they headed up north. So, they would meet with Ryo's grandparents in New York City. To be continued.
