Chase McPhee % After Renato knocked off his evening pull at his family eatery, like every weekday morning, he headed over to Blazing Muscles, for a two hour workout, plus. It started off, Renato checking into a locker, stripping down, showering and then dressing in gym shorts, muscle shirt, socks and sneakers. He knew Ray would work him up into a fierce sweat, so tucked a small hand towel into the elastic of his gym shorts. It was by habit, but also knowing, like something going between the two, when Renato comes out of the locker room, Ray grabs the towel out of his shorts and asks, "What are working on today?" "You're draggin', Ray?" "I know. It's been nonstop since I left your family restaurant this morning, Renato and to top it off, my young friend got hurt in the gym this morning." "No-o-o-o," Renato replies, "and he's such a cutie!" "I know. No fault but my own, leaving a kettlebell right where people walk." Trying to help him out, the twenty-eight year old Italian asks, "Are you sure `you' left it there?" "I know what you're going to say. Guys leave them lying wherever they finish working out, but no, I picked it up and when Thomas knocked on the door I let it lay there. If he sues, it's my fault." Slapping Ray on the back, arm over his shoulder, the good gym buddies walk towards the machines, Renato assuring, "He's not going to sue you. He's a nice kid, Ray." "So you think?" "Sure. Cute too." "You already said that Renato." "Oh yeah. I did, didn't I?" "There's something bothering me though," Ray asks, sitting on a weight bench, where Renato should have parked his ass. "Money problems? You ain't gettin' enough guys to work out?" "No, it's not that Renato." "Because if you ever have money problems, you let me know. I can `make' guys sign up!" Ray smiled. Whether Renato knew it or not and Ray was pretty sure he didn't have any underground connections, but he sounded exactly like a big mafia boss! "Sure. I'll let you know, Renato." "Cool. How about some chest presses?" Chest presses it was, Raymond picking up two 45-lb plates and placing them with ease on each arm of the strength training machine. "More," Renato says, picking up two 25-lb plates. "That it?" Raymond asks, Renato plopping his ass down on the cushy seat. "Warm up. I'm only getting started. By the way, other than your boyfriend breaking his foot, how is it goin'tween you two?" "We're not really boyfriends. Let's leave it at friends." Taking a couple of reps down, Renato stops, shakes his head and says, "Well, what's stoppin' ya?" "Nothing. Thomas got thrown out of his cousin's house... well actually that's not the case, rather he left on his own accord, because Bobby, that's his cousin, was being a real nerd." `Nerd?' Renato thought. He knew Ray wasn't the heavy-cursing type, so summed up he was being conservative. "If I was Thomas?" Renato puts his two cents worth in, "I would've fucked the living daylights out of his cousin and then left!" "His cousin isn't gay." Renato says proudly, "Never stopped me!" Raymond wouldn't put it past Renato, doing anything he said, though in respectfulness to himself, he could very well have, at any time during their gym relationship, have fallen for the Italian. Responding, he truthfully, like he thought, "It was never a doubt in my mind." Instead of performing the next set of reps, Renato sat there, a smile on his face and just stared at Raymond. "Too tired to do another set of reps, Renato?" he said like talking to a child. "I'm okay," he starts up, but stops after two. "What is it, that I'm too old for you?" "What?" Raymond questions his motives. "Did I ever tell you I have a crush on you?" "I kind of had an idea, on that day when you spotted for me last month?" Raymond was being funny, because it helped to drive away his insecurity. "I'm not talking about crushing your chest with a ton of weight, Ray!" "I know, Renato. I'm just trying to be cute." "You don't have to try." If the gym hadn't began filling up with the Saturday morning crowd, Renato might have tried to show Ray his feelings beyond more than a `crush.' Still trying to bullshit, to avoid sensitive issues, Raymond states, "And it's not your age Renato. Besides, we're only two years difference, you know?" "You checked?" Renato's thinking Ray checking him out on paper. "It was on your application, stoopid! Now, are you going to finish up some reps? There's a line of guys piling up behind you!" Renato didn't care about the other guys. If he had his say in the matter, it wouldn't be anybody but Ray `behind him!' % "I'm not one to pry," John Gilly, the technician in x-ray says to Thomas, "but do you and Justin have something `going?'" "Justin?" Thomas questions. "Justin Driver, who happens to be the ambulance driver most of the time?" "Oh-h-h `that' Justin. Um, no," Thomas provides answer. "I suppose maybe this means I have a chance?" He didn't know anything about John. Having reddish-blond hair, he thought him to be fairly good looking. Yet, compared to himself, Thomas always thought `any guy' was better looking! He retorts, "I have a friend." John tries gaining clarification, "Boyfriend?" "No. Friend. Raymond Romaine." "Owner of `Blazing Muscles'?" John asks. "Yeah, but now, because of my stubbed toe, he probably won't let me in the door!" "I think you have more than a stubbed toe here, Thomas." He was waiting to see if the x-rays came out visibly, Thomas responding, "Why? What do they show?" "I'm not supposed to evaluate a patient's x-rays," John replies, "but I think this entails more than a toe injury." "Tell me it's not a fracture or something broke? I've got school starting next week," Thomas pled. "Your toe isn't the problem, but I'm thinking, the way you fell, it twisted your ankle. Doesn't appear to be anything fractured, severed or broken, but what I'm saying, I'm not a doctor and you should wait for the final opinion." "Hey, how's it going? We all done in here?" It was Justin and instead of rolling Thomas out on a gurney, "I found this roller derby chair in the hallway. Dr. Kildour says there's nothing serious, which requires more than lots of ice, two weeks rest and he'll prescribe a small dose of painkiller if you need it Thomas?" They both saw wonderment on Thomas' face, him asking, "But how did he..." John jumps in with, "We're synchronized. Whatever you see on my computer, Dr. Kildour views right in front of him." "Cool, I guess," Thomas replies. "I'll skip the painkiller though on account of I'm not into pills." "I try to avoid them myself," Justin says. They both helped Thomas into the wheelchair, his ass landing comfortably. "I'll take it from here, John?" He knew he was making John jealous, but in a friendly way, John commenting, "You're always the lucky one!" "By the way," Justin tells him, before rolling Thomas away, "Dr. Kildour is headed out for lunch?" "Cool! Thanks for telling me!" John replies, closing out his computer, tidying up his station, grabbing his signature beanie, covering up his carrot-top locks and heading out the door. "Small world," Thomas says, looking upside down, into Justin's face. "How's that go?" "John. Five-seconds ago he was ready to come onto me and now he's hurrying out to meet up with Dr. Kildour?" "That's John!" Justin replies. Showing comparison, "For myself I'll have none of that." "Of?" "Chasing around men," Justin replies, stopping at the elevator and pressing the button. "A grounded guy. Hard to find these days." Neither one of them has said, only assumed, Justin asking, "How long have you known?" "That I'm gay?" Thomas replies, with followup, "For a long, long time. Probably fifty or sixth grade, though I made out I liked girls, but in reality they didn't interest me," and he smiles, "like the boys!" A lead in question, Thomas spells it right out, "I had a feeling you were gay, too and I've known since about second grade, but only came out as recent as a few months ago." Philosophically, Justin says, "I'm out to whomever I feel comfortable about." "Sounds logical to me." In the elevator, they talked on a variety of subjects, home, family, where each grew up, culminating with the story about Thomas at `Bear Garden', confronting Bobby and walking out. "Tough break, but if you're ever in need of a place to stay, my folks are on extended vacation and I have the house all to myself?" Justin invites. "Thanks, but..." Cutting him off, Justin assures, "And don't worry. I won't jump on you!" He laughs. Thomas smiled. Even though he shared the same, conservative view, he wished he could be given the opportunity to get to know Justin, maybe earning his approval one day to, `jump on him!' % Right after Renato's workout session of personal training, Raymond moved on to his next client, though he kept tabs on Renato, moving about the gym, from strength training machines, to cardio on the treadmill. Somehow, working with an overweight, fifty year old, married, straight guy wasn't as much fun as working out with Renato. Especially since he had just finished up with the gym-jock hunk. Though, keeping his eyes focused on his client, with the occasional wondering seemed to make a half hour pass quickly and lessen the boredom of moving at a slow pace. Finishing up, Renato passes by, which startled Raymond, because it seemed like ten seconds ago he was still running, "Hey, thanks for the awesome workout Ray." "My pleasure," Raymond replies, though he didn't really mean it like it came out, as something with a sexual curve. Mr. Rodriquez, Raymond's older client surprises them both, directing at Renato, "Anytime you're looking for a spotter, I'm your man!" Raymond and Renato exchanged glances, knowing where Mr. Rodriquez was going with this, smiling, but Raymond diverting the path of meaning, "You going to take a shower, Renato?" "I was headed there, but wanted to know if you were interested in going to the `Bear Garden' tonight?" Again Mr. Rodriquez asserts himself, "`Bear Garden?' Isn't that the gay night club?" Being nice, but also a way to rub it in, gay status, Renato replies, "Yeah. Ever been there Mr. Rodriquez?" Both Raymond and Renato were lost for words, Mr. Rodriquez saying, "But it's not like I've never been with a man!" "Way to go, Mr. Rodriquez!" Renato high fives the fifties man, further assessing, "Not getting it on with Mrs. R?" Rather than answer directly, Mr. R replies, "I think Ray and I are done here and I think I could use a shower myself!" Renato never has done anything with a guy over late 30's, coupled with a belly hanging over his belt loops, but developed a longing desire suddenly, "Hell, I'll scrub your back if you scrub mine, Mr. R!" Strong on principles of security in his gym, Raymond says, "And you two can guess how I would feel about that?!" Mr. R's nads were ticking and even though he's met the occasional trick at a motel, usually another married man with the desire to quench a sexual thirst outside the marriage, he takes chance, "My `beloved'," which in the way he said it constituted the opposite feeling, "is away for the week at her sister's in Chicago, if that helps?" Not feeling at all pressured, though it could be regarded as such, Renato replies, "It'll take me five minutes to clear out my locker!" While Renato did so, Mr. Rodgriquez spent time outside his training session to quiz Raymond, "I don't really know Renato..." Raymond knew he was checking Renato out through him, "A nice guy. You have nothing to fear, Mr. Rodriquez." "Thanks." It didn't take Renato five minutes. Instead of the usual, showering, taking eons to comb his hair and get dressed in street clothes, he nixed changing, figuring he would make his clothing reek, without a shower. "All set!" As they were leaving the gym, little did Renato know the excitement Mr. Rodriquez was feeling, not only on the verge of having gay sex with a younger guy, but one so amazingly muscled, a guy who took care of himself. % They took in a light breakfast, actually brunch, then walked out back of the house. Michael laughs a little before saying, "It's not the same as getting down and dirty, but would you want to do a little skinny dipping?" "Are you giving me a choice, Michael?" Barry asks, because right now Michael was stripped down to nothing, removing his shorts first, in reverse, the shirt, then diving into the olympic-size pool. Floating on his back and using his arms as flippers, Michael calls to Barry, "C'mon in and wipe me out with a nice big cannonball!" Barry smiled. He hadn't done a cannonball since last year when he and his friends went on a `bear cruise' to the Caribbean. After taking off his signature black vest, Barry set forth kicking his loafers off, unbuckling his belt. "Just you wait! I'm going to splash you right out of the pool with a titanic wave!" All Michael did was smile, watching Barry perform a private striptease. He knew when he hastily threw off his clothes, he didn't leave much in Barry's mind except his hairy ass, turning to jump in the pool. However, right now he was pacing himself, thinking how hot it would be later to make Barry's cock stand out from the black-bear pubes. "One! Two!" Barry jumps in. It really was a big wave, causing Michael to swim instead of floating. Coming up in front of him, he says, "What happened to three?" More importantly, on Barry's mind, "Did you like what you saw?" Of course, not having the same experience, Michael tearing away faster than lightning, Barry try seeing through the rippled water. "Looked delicious!" Michael replies, smiling. Hinting, Barry says, "Too bad you didn't give me the same chance?" Barry could see the evil smile on Michael's lips, him taking Barry's hand and moving it towards his own pubes, saying, "Maybe this'll give you an idea?" "Oh my god!" Barry replies. Michael laughs, saying, "Cut the drama, Barry?!" Mellowing out, withdrawing his hand from feeling up Michael's wilted barrel, Barry says, "It's soft." Flirtatious, Michael says, "There's a chance of it getting hard if I ever get the chance to work my tongue over your hot, furry bod?" Beefy, not really a big, obese `bear', as Barry floated in the water, more his stomach and rounded pecs show, his hair making the water look more flowing around himself. Michael laughs. "I look funny to you?" "No," Michael replies. He had noticed where Barry's bellyhole made an indentation, thinking, "I once saw at a bar, guys drinking shots of tequila out of a guy's navel!" He laughs a little. Back at him, Barry says, "I think I'd like it more having you drink something else from somewhere else?" Michael jokes, "I think I'm getting hard!" "Cool! Really?" Barry says with excitement. "No, but I bet if and when I got the chance to suck up your hot bod, I would bone up in an instant!" "I think I'm getting hard!" Barry replies! % "Are you going to call your friend at the gym?" Justin asks Thomas. Sitting there in the lobby of the hospital, pinned down to a wheelchair, Thomas replies, "I suppose so." Having explained his falling out with Bobby, Justin knew Thomas had no place to go, except bunk up with Raymond. Justin whips out his cellphone, "Here. I happen to have Blazing Muscles programmed into my phone." "Really?" Thomas asks Justin, giving him the glance-over, not that he hasn't already tried reviewing the physique. Catching the gesture, Justin replies, "I was thinking of going there, only I'm pressed for cash, with college, you know?" "I know," Thomas replies. With the phone ringing, he waits. Raymond picking up, a conversation ensued, of which he did not have all the answers. He knows he had offered his place as a temporary residence for Thomas, but being stuck at the gym he could follow through at the moment. "Oh," Thomas says in the phone somberly, "you can't right now." Reading into the conversation, without hearing Raymond on the other end, Justin butts in, "If you need a place to stay for a while I get off in fifteen minutes?" Explaining it to Raymond, Thomas found it was a good idea, expressing, "Raymond said to thank you," after tapping a button on Justin's phone and handing it back to him. "Cool. If you can wait here I'll get my gear." After Justin cut out, Thomas thought of himself as being awfully trusting to a dude he met almost two hours ago. Then again, he was also thinking, getting back to college and hardly knowing a soul, if he had to have a friend, Justin was the guy for him. He probably should not have been thinking it, but did doubt for a moment, if Raymond hadn't come along, he would have liked to have started something up with Justin. Out loud he says, "Then again, if I never met Raymond I would never had stubbed my toe!" % Copyright 2011 T.
