Date: Fri, 11 Jan 2002 21:58:11 +1100 From: James Raen Subject: Only When I Sleep Chapter Three Patrick was panicking. He felt nervous. He also felt slightly slutty, practically throwing himself Josh, who he'd only seen once before. His heart was pumping and his stomach felt like it was ready to eject everything inside itself-the butterflies were that bad. Patrick was beginning to feel queasy. He picked up the phone and dialled 9-8-5-4-5-3-2-1. Each digit felt as though it weighed a tonne. The phone began to ring, an almost over-eager voice answered, "Hello?" the voice enquired. It spoke again, "Is this Patrick?" "Yeah. I was wondering that if you were free tonight that, um would you like to grab dinner with me, tonight?" Patrick asked nervously. "Absolutely! I'd love to!" Josh answered nonchalantly. Josh's heart leapt for joy. "How about Furoshiki, on the corner of 5th & George?" Patrick suggested. "Sure. How about 8:00?" "K. I'll see you then!" "Bye." "See `ya." They hung up simultaneously, both with fluttery stomachs and racing hearts. Josh turned to Sarah behind him, "So the blue or the red?" he asked, referring to the two button up shirts. "The red. Red is sexier, unless it matches your blue eyes, that you don't have so..." Sarah stated. Sarah's phone rang. "Hello? Oh shit. I'm coming." She said hanging up. "Well I've gotta fly, Dad's had an accident. Good luck tonight by the way. I hope it works out for you." Sarah said genuinely. Josh had decided on a red shirt, black pants, a tight black g-string, white athletic socks that he found terribly sexy on guys that were fucking him, and black suede shoes. On the other side of the CBD, Patrick was having a much easier time. He decided that he was going to wear a tight flesh coloured tee; exposing all of his rippling muscles, black -- length pants and his favourite sandals. He was also wearing his luck blue boxer shorts. The weatherman had predicted a hot night, if he only knew... Josh upped and left at 7:30, he would have to wait but it didn't matter, he felt that if he didn't get there quick enough that he would miss Patrick, that he would leave with someone else. He practically bribed the taxi driver to speed. He almost did. He arrived at 7:50. He waited. 7:51 7:52 7:53 7:54 7:55 7:56 7:57 7:58 He glanced at his watch, `Don't panic he's coming.' He told himself. He looked around and then down at his watch, it was still 7:58. A taxi then pulled up in front of him. A god stepped out. There were no words in Josh's opinion of how to describe Patrick-he looked stunning. Josh's heart fluttered at the sight of him, his groin stirred. "Sorry to keep you waiting. Are you ready to eat?" Patrick asked and stated. "No that's fine. Let's go." Josh answered. They walked through door of the restaurant. Josh & Patrick both felt as though everyone there had literally dropped their chopsticks in an effort to stare at them blankly when they entered, they felt so exposed. They had a great dinner. They ate Udon & Yakitori, discussed everything. Their jobs, families, travels & past experiences. Patrick was enthralled by Josh's memory as he could recall minute details of what he remembered. Josh listened as Patrick talked about his job as a doctor in the city's biggest and most central hospital. Josh looked at Patrick strong-arm muscles as he sat. The muscles rippled as he moved, used his chopsticks and drank. He really wanted to be held by those strong arms, so gently yet firmly. They both grew sad as the evening wore on. Soon they would have to leave each other's company. Patrick payed for the meal in a very gentlemanly manner. They got up and walked out onto the streets. The city was packed; it was very nice to just be able to stroll. They decided to just walk around laughing and discussing life in general. They walked hand in hand around their favourite haunts; there was no homophobia in their city, at least not where they were. They talked more & more about themselves, divulging their favourite films, colours; Josh would never wear Purple or Orange, Patrick would never wear Pink or Brown. The heat was growing; their passion for each other was screaming inside their skins...People passing them were convinced they were a married couple. They felt so clingy, that if they didn't hold on to each other they would slip through their proverbial fingers. They walked to Josh's apartment, "Would you like Coffee or Ice Cream or something?" Josh asked. "Tempting...but I have a 5:00 start tomorrow so I should go to bed soon." Patrick said sadly. He stepped forward and kissed Josh on the right cheek. Once. Twice...all the way to his mouth. Josh's hand grabbed Patrick's back it was so strong. Patrick's tongue pushed timidly into Josh's mouth. Their lips intertwined. Their hands moving up and down each other's bodies. Josh pulled away, breathing heavily, "If we don't stop now, we never will. Not to mention the fact that you need to sleep tonight." Josh said breathily." "OK. Tomorrow night?" Patrick suggested. "Yes." "9:00." "Yes." "Il Giminiano?" "I'll be there..." They kissed again, itching for passion and a go at each other's bodies. Josh's eyes did not leave Patrick's hot arse as he walked away. Patrick got into a taxi. It drove off. Josh's heart was beating so fast. He ran into his apartment and called Sarah. Constructive Criticism is most welcome, as are e-mails of encouragement. Flames however, will most certainly be ignored. :) Coments or Questions to raen_j@hotmail.com By: J Raen Copyright 2002
