Date: Tue, 6 Feb 2018 18:06:50 -0800 From: Stephen Wakefield Subject: Robbie's True Love 13. Well, I am back and sorry for the long delay, in getting this chapter out, but hey these things happen, the "bug" hit us and we were down for the count. We are both better and up and running again... (well limping, sometimes, LOL). I hope everyone had a great holiday and the New Year brought you great new things and some cool adventures. So, the saga continues: The wedding coming up; The crazy guy Richard who falls in loves with Robbie from afar and then threatens to kill him is taken away in the loony wagon; So the saga goes forward. Again, everyone be yourself, play safe and donate to NIFTY!!! When Tommy heard the news, he screamed, "OH MY GOD!!" and ran from the room to get his father and they rushed over to the Blackford building in the chauffeur driven car. They raced upstairs as Tommy needed to get to Robbie as fast as he could. He prayed that Robbie was not hurt, just scared. Tommy rushed to his lover's side, grabbed him close and kissed him, with tears running down his cheeks, smiled and said, "I can't leave you alone for a minute without you getting into some sort of trouble, can I?" Robbie smiled through his tears and said weakly, "I guess not!". Just then there was a knock at the door and Robbie's secretary Beth let in two policemen. One introduced himself as Sargent Ross and the other as Lieutenant Smith. They were bade to have a seat and asked if anyone wanted coffee? The police- men said thanks, but wanted nothing. "Now Mr. Blackford, may we ask you a few questions?" asked Lieutenant Smith, "If you're up to it." Robbie sat up still holding Tommy's hand and said "sure." "Please tell us what led up to this shooting today, and by the way... it was a prop gun that only held blanks, so no one would have been really hurt." "Thank God for that," said Daniel. Robbie explained the incident starting yesterday at the Deli and how this Richard person was waiting for him this morning with Coffee, no less, when he arrived at the building and how it escalated from there. "I was so scared, I almost wet myself when he shot that gun. Thanks be to God, no one was hurt. The man is completely deranged and needs medical help." "That, he will get. We are running a background check on him as we speak, and that will turn up some answers I'm sure." "If that is all officers, my son needs to rest. Thank you for coming and being brief, but thorough about all of this. If we can be of any other help with anything, UHHH, Thom, give the officer your card as you ARE head of our Corporate law firm. Any more questions please contact Mr. Gilman. Thank you, officers and have a pleasant day." The police were shown out and Tommy said, "Darling, let's get you home and I want you to lay down and rest for the rest of the day. I have already told the office and said I would not be in the rest of the day!" Leave your car here in the garage and we can have someone bring it for you later, plus I don't think you should drive right now!" In a few minutes, Robbie stood up, still a bit shaky, so he held onto Tommy and said, "let's go home." They gave Daniel and Thom huge hugs and murmured 'Thanks' - then left to go home. Thom looked at Daniel and said, "Damn is it always this exciting around here?" while shaking his head. Daniel said, "I certainly fucking hope NOT!" "Care for a drink?" pointing to the bar. Thom said, "HELL YES and make it a double!!" Tommy got Robbie home, changed into comfortable clothes, got him a glass of white wine and was soon cuddling him on the couch. "Oh GOD Robbie, I don't think I have ever been so scared, ever in my life!! I thought I was going to lose you and that I just couldn't bear!" Robbie looked up at his lover, smiled weakly and said, "it would take more that some lunatic with a toy gun to lose me, darling. We have too much to live for and to do for the rest of our lives." "It feels so good to be home and laying in your arms where I feel safe, secure and so in love!!" Tommy leaned down and kissed Robbie passionately. "Darling, I have been thinking - I know that is dangerous sometimes - laughingly, but this incident has made me realize that we need to be together forever and stay close, so let's get married as soon as we can arrange things. And for our honeymoon, we discussed going on a 2 week cruise on Atlantis, the gay cruise line...let's call right now and book a suite, go to City Hall, get hitched with just family and maybe Cal and Jeffrey and then get the hell out of Dodge. How does that sound?" Robbie sat up and reached for his phone and called the cruise line right then and there. He reached the sales office and they only had one small suite and the Presidential Suite left. They booked the Presidential Suite. It was large, spacious, with a very large living room, dining room, 2 bedrooms, two bathrooms, one with a bath tub, 2 balconies, a private butler and a house boy. The cruise left San Francisco in two weeks and was to go down the coast, stopping in LA, then down the Mexican Riviera with stops in Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta and three days in Acapulco, then through the Panama Canal and the west Caribbean, ending in Ft. Lauderdale, so the trip was just under three weeks. "PERFECT," the men exclaimed! It was a bit expensive, $18,000, but what the hell it was their honeymoon and money didn't really factor into it at all. Then Tommy called City Hall and made an appointment for the civil ceremony on Saturday morning, two weeks away. Once that was set, each man called their parents and told them the good news. Both sets of parents were overjoyed and very happy for their sons. Cynthia asked first, how Robbie was doing and how he was feeling? He replied fine, but a bit tired. Then she asked about a reception for them. They explained that they could throw any type of reception after they got back from their cruise, big or small, and as grandiose as they wanted, but NOT until they got back. Cynthia said that was fine and she and Danielle would get together and pull something small and understated together." "Yea, RIGHT MOM," Said Robbie. You never do anything understated!" laughing. " So how many people are coming to City Hall to witness this event?" Robbie said, "Just family, my brother will be my best man and Cal and Jeff, the twins, can be our ring bearers. We can have brunch at the restaurant. The ship sails at 6:00 pm. We booked the Presidential Suite." Cynthia said they wanted to pay for it, and Robbie said "No, It was done." I think we will wear suits instead of tuxes - a bit more casual - and I will take care of setting up the brunch at the Restaurant. I will book the banquet room for around 11:30 since our time for City Hall is 10:00 am. With pictures and all that should be fine. We will have already packed and have the luggage sent ahead, so all we have to do in get on board. Mom, we are so excited and with all that has happened, we want this so badly!!" "OH, and NO PRESENTS PLEASE! We don't need anything and Tommy will be moving in to my penthouse and then rent out his." So that's I am going to take a nap, and his mother said to sleep well and if he was up to it to come down tomorrow for lunch. Great replied Robbie and will bring Tommy if that is ok?" "Of course, darling, so see you about 12:30 for lunch", and they hung up. Robbie smiled and related the conversation to Tommy and walked into the bedroom where they both laid down together and drifted off to sleep. They woke up about two hours later, stretched and kissed and Tommy said, "let's do something about supper. I'm starving. I have some ribeyes in the freezer, a salad, baked potato and I think we have some fresh green beans. I can make a quick brandy peppercorn, cream sauce for the meat and maybe add some sliced almonds for the beans. And then I can have you for dessert!! How does that sound darling man of mine?" "Sounds delish, so let's get up, run in the water and put jammies on and get comfortable." So they walked into the bathroom, got the shower ready, undressed each other and got under the steaming shower. After washing each other thoroughly, they got out, dried each other with some caressing, kissing and stroking. Tommy suggested, "let's save the rest for after dinner" and they put on some casual Jazz-type pants and simple white tee shirts along with some comfy slippers. Robbie walked into the kitchen and pulled the steaks from the freezer and pulled the rest of the things for dinner. Robbie asked Tommy to clean the green beans and put the potatoes in to bake at *375. They both liked their potatoes with crispy skins, lots of butter, sour cream and fresh chopped chives. The steaks would be cooked rare for Robbie and more medium rare for Tommy. Robbie began the mushroom-brandy-peppercorn sauce. He melted two TBLS of butter in a sauce pan, added a bit of minced garlic and the fresh sliced mushrooms with a bit of chopped shallot and let that cook over medium heat until the mushrooms were cooked. Then he added the brandy, tilted the pan and flamed it until the flame went out. He added some flour and a bit of beef stock with some heavy cream. He tasted it and adjusted seasonings. "Perfect!" Robbie said with a smile. Tommy who was sitting at the kitchen counter, said it was amazing to watch him cook and it was quite a turn-on! "Why, thank you darling and it is always a pleasure to cook for you, my love." Everything was ready and the steaks came out of the broiler, done to perfection, napped with the brandy mushroom cream sauce, the green beans cooked to a crisp turn and the potatoes fluffy and tender and topped with butter, the sour cream and snipped fresh chives. Dinner was served at the counter, with a wonderful glass of Hess select Cabernet. The both dug in and made short work of the great dinner Robbie had prepared. Robbie got a big kiss as a thank you. Tommy got up and cleared the plates, rinsed the dishes and loaded the dishwasher. They made coffee and went into the living room to watch a movie. They made it about half way through the movie and fell sound asleep on the couch. The woke up and both men were bit confused as to where they were. They smiled and kissed each other, turned off everything and went sleepily to bed where they cuddled and slept until morning.
