Tom left the two alone and went outside only to realize he needed hooks to hang the rope and blanket. Tom got in his truck to head to the hardware store across the river. As he was walking toward the shop, he ran into his old pal, Pete. Pete recognized his former basketball buddy, eyeing him like in the past, and caused Tom to look up when he called out Tom's name. Tom smiled brightly as he remembered the face. Tom extended his hand, giving Pete the once over, impressed with what he saw. Pete holding onto Tom's hand a little longer brought back memories of the high school days. With Pete asking Tom, "Did you ever get married?" Tom smiled, "Twice, how about you?" "You know I'm not the marrying type, been living with a buddy," as he winked, hinting about their past. Tom looked down at his feet, blushing, knowing what Pete was hinting about. Looking up, he said, "I'm the Fire inspector." Pete hugged him, "Just like your daddy!" Tom nodded his head, "Just like the ole man." "How long has it been?" Pete questioned. "Can't believe it's almost been 10 years," Tom replied. Pete, unsure of asking the next question braved the possibility of bringing up a taboo subject, "How's Randy doing?" "I don't know, I haven't seen him for about three years, ever since I walked out on him," Tom replied with no emotion. "Oh, sorry man, I didn't realize," patting Tom on his shoulder. "You should meet my husband." Tom smiled. "Do I know him?" Pete asked. "No, he came from the city to live in the country," Tom replied, beaming in joy, proud to show his husband off.. "I'll take you up on that. I'll let you know when I'm back in the area. Here's my card, call me." As Pete offered his number. Hoping Tom would use it, feeling the old chemistry ignite, just like it did before Pete headed off to college leaving Tom behind. Looking at the card, Tom placed it in his wallet as he smiled - the thought of how hot Pete still looks after all these years. As he walked down the aisles, Tom's phone was vibrating in his pants. Pulling it out, he noticed an out of town number, curious he answered, "Hello." The voice on the other end introduced himself when Tom was about to hang up, he heard the offer of modeling for the man's agency. Tom interest was piqued, as the man continued by saying he had seen his picture in the calendar. Mentioning that a client is interested in Tom since he was on featured the local news a few weeks ago. He's very interested in having you model some of his lines of clothing, saying you were the man for the job. Tom explained he's actually a fireman and not a model; that he had a full schedule not having time. The man on the other end continued his charm, getting Tom to agree to meet with him. If everything worked out he wanted to get photos of Tom. So he could present them to his client, who was very interested in having Tom represent his brand. The man wouldn't take `no', as he pressured Tom for a meeting. Bev glanced up to see the tree, with the tears flowing down her face, "You were going to decorate without me?" Not knowing what to say Steven sat there, "You're here now, you OK to help?" decided Steven. Nodding her head `Yes,' "It's what I need, you know we always did this together." Laughing, "Barron never wanted to help, always complaining about the ugly tree, but Christmas day, it couldn't have been more beautiful." Steven went downstairs to get the ornaments for the tree, Bev made the final adjustments to the branches, making sure there wasn't an open part. Grabbing the pruners, she did a little more trimming, getting the shape Steven was looking for. Hearing Steven while he was sorting through things in the basement, Bev went down to help. Bev was in the back closet, calling out to Steven, "Where are you?" "In the closet." Steven quickly replied. "Hon, you were out of the closet a long time ago." Bev giggled, "I should know! I found you there, only bringing you out so you could shine." Steven flustered, "Ha, Ha, funny," in a dry voice. Bev grabbed a few of the boxes, carrying them upstairs, as Steven sorted through more of his collection. Several feeling heavier than she remembered. Bev helped Steven move the rest of the boxes upstairs, Steven commented, "We'll sort through them up there." Bev was looking at Steven, "I could use a drink, " as she plopped onto the sofa amongst the strewn boxes of Christmas decorations. "Oh, no you don't," Steven spoke while shaking his head as he raised his finger shaking it at her. Bev rolled her eyes, knowing Steven was right. As she rested from carrying the boxes up the basement stairs. "Who are the probable fathers?" Steven questioned as he appeared in front of her out of nowhere, knowing full well, she claims she doesn't know, but be along with her, he thought she would give him some clue as to who she been with besides Stan. Bev sat there avoiding the question, as she tried to think which one could possibly be the father. Steven repeated the question a second time. Not wanting to answer that particular question, Bev stood up to open one of the boxes, reaching into the box she said, "I don't know." Steven heard the mumble but decided to wait to ask her again, not really understanding the answer as she spoke into the box. Bev looked sheepishly at Steven, knowing she purposely spoke into the box, seeing him not reacting, she knew he didn't hear her, biting her lip, she pulled out a box of lights. Bev walked over to the receptacle, plugging them in, checking to make sure they all light. Passing her inspection, she handed the box to Steven, who looked like she had two heads. You know you are only going to restring the tree if I put on the lights. "You're right," as she walked up to the tree, sighing as she pulled the lights from the box, placing them among the branches on the tree. Hanging the yellow lights as she wove them through the branches, Steven commented that was his grandmother's favorite, as it reminded her of old-fashioned Christmas with candles on the tree. Visiting her house at Christmas was always magical, her tree was magically perfect. Bev mentioned, "Remember when we first married, how we helped your grandmother on her last Christmas, decorating her tree, as she sat there saying how beautiful that was." Without thinking, Steven stepped behind Bev, wrapping his arms around her, drawing her against him, placing his face next to hers. Kissing her gently on the cheeks, as he thought about that shared Christmas memory. "We did brighten up her day, didn't we?" Bev turned to kiss Steven on the cheek, before pulling away asking for the next set of lights. Steven fell behind tested them quickly before handing her the box, as she continued weaving in-and-out of the branches. "I saw the puppies!" Steven suddenly remembered. "You did! Did you get pictures?" Bev squealed in delight. Pulling out his phone, Steven manipulated some buttons, showing her the litter. "Oh! They are so adorable, I would want them all, not knowing which one to choose! I'm sure Tom will love it!" as Bev stared at the young Dalmatians. "I actually pick it up Christmas eve." "I wish I could come with you to see that. That is so sweet. Ah, but they are so cute. Are you ready for this?" Nodding his head, "I have the classes all lined up. He'll have his running partner, and this will force him to run like he always said he wants to." Bev was delighted to see the puppies, knowing with Steven living in the city, he never thought it was fair to the animal, especially a Dalmatian, they need space, lots of space, and the canal was an excellent place to take it for its run. Bev turned to open a box, not sure what she was seeing, picked up the leather straps attached to the silver rings. Bev was holding it by the one end, held it up to Steven asking, "What is this?" Turning red from embarrassment, he asked, "Where did you find that?" Bev pointed to the box, as she stepped closer to look at the toys that lie on the bottom. Steven tried to beat her to it, but it was too late. Bev started pulling out the different items, inspecting them, before realizing, she was seeing something that she shouldn't be. Pulling the ring with the chains attached to it, and a leather-like sling show thing, looking at it, "What is it?" Steven reached for it, but Bev pulled it away. "Those were Barron's," as he tried to retrieve it from her hands. Dropping it to the floor, she realized she found Steven's sex toys that he had stored away. Quickly picking the object up, she placed between her tits, holding her hand against her breast as she headed toward the powder room. Steven looked through the box, as he heard the water running, quickly folding the flaps, he wanted to take it downstairs, when Tom walked in. Tom was excited about his phone call, not seeing Bev, started telling Steven he was called by an agency that was asking him to model a client's brand. Bev stood there, her mouth dropped when she heard Tom getting an offer to model. Not seeing Bev before he looked over at her to continue the story, saying a company in the City wants me to come in for an interview and also take pictures to see if I would make it as their spokesman. When Bev heard the exciting news she excitedly ran up to Tom, almost tackling him as she gave him a big hug asking, "Are you going to do it?" Without letting him speak she told Tom, "You have to do it, especially with Mason preparing for college, that could pay for his education." Tom was trying to speak as Bev went on-and-on about him being an excellent model. Bev looked at him, and the last thing he heard her clearly say, "We need a drink!" Steven shook his head, protesting drinking. Tom said he would go back out and make them something to drink. Bev was all excited, wanting to celebrate. Steven, frowning as he thought about the unborn child. Bev said, "One drink isn't going to hurt." Steven went looking for the tree topper, when Tom opened the sealed box. Peering in, not believing what he was seeing, pulled a leather ball stretcher out of the box. Holding it up to inspecting it, he looked back in the box for the weights. Finding the black round weights, he attached them to the rings at the end. Bev was curious, "What is that?" as she had the other device between the girls. Tom looked up, "This is a ball stretcher, this snaps around your balls, you add the weights here and they pull down." Pulling the `slingshot' out from between her breast, she held it up for Tom to see, "And this?" Tom's eyes got wide-eyed as he chuckled, liking what he saw, "A parachute! That snaps around the balls too!" "Oh, why would you do that?" "To give you low hangers." "Steven, do you want low hangers?" Shocked when he looked up, seeing Tom dangled a ball stretcher between his fingers, rushing over before Tom blocked him. Pulling the box out of the way, Steven was dancing around Tom as he chuckled, trying to get the box he forgot to put back. Tom laughed as he held just out of arm's reach, "You kinky bastard, keeping these a secret from me," pointing to the contents inside the box, "Oh, no you don't," running for the door Tom took the box with him, as he ran for his truck. Steven just shook his head, pointing his finger at Bev. "It's all your fault." "Moi? My fault? I beg your pardon." Bev acted innocently, she knew she was going to sneak off with Tom to look at Steven's toy collection. Steven returned to looking through the boxes, finding the topper, and with Bev's help, placed it perfectly on top of the tree. Walking behind Bev, Steven held her as they admired the lights on the tree. Bev commented, "How pretty." Steven nodded in agreement. Steven went through all the boxes, sorting the ornaments by size, deciding which ones he wanted to use. Bev worked on the branches trying to get everything looking just perfect, before placing the ornaments on the tree. Hearing the door open, they both turned to look, only to see Tom walking in with two cartons of eggs and a bag asking, "Who wants eggnog?" Bev wanting a drink ran into the kitchen to join Tom, as Steven sat in the living room concentrating on sorting out the decorations. "We need to look through that box!" whispering to Tom. "I know, I'll have to think of some way to get him out of the house." Tom continued to prepare the eggnog, as Bev returned to decorate the Christmas tree. Tom entered the room, looking at the tree, "Did you get another tree while I was out?" Steven looked at Tom with a WTF look, "No, why." "This can't be the same tree, it's much prettier than the one we brought in yesterday," as he stood there holding two cups of eggnog. "It's the same one," replied Steven as he grasped the cup from Tom's hand. "Oh wow, didn't think it could be possible," Tom quietly mumbled while holding the second cup. "What be possible?" Steven turned, knowing what Tom was going to say, as he looked at Bev and winked. "The tree, I didn't think it had a chance, it was a bush, it was fucking ugly," Tom finally uttered, waiting for the repercussions. "Fucking ugly?" Steven excitedly exclaimed, "You think the tree was FUCKING UGLY?" Tom tilted his head down, looking up with his eyes and without saying anything, nodded. "Ye of little faith, doubted me?" looking Tom sternly in the face. Feeling his oats, Tom nodded again, "Fugly," as the corner of his mouth tried to fight the smile or keep from bursting out laughing. Bev quickly walked up to him, taking the cup from his hand, "Thank you," as she raised the eggnog to her lips. Tom waited for her reaction, as he made virgin eggnog. Spitting it out over the cup, Bev looked at Tom, "What the fuck is this?" Tom chuckled, "Virgin." Disappointed Bev sat down, sipping on the virgin eggnog, knowing both were looking out for her best interest. She should have realized Steven was going to be 100 times more protective than Stan. With his phone beeping, Steven read the text, "Fuckin' A, my clients are at the nursery and want to know if I can quickly stop by." "Oh, go see them, we'll be right here when you get back," Tom whispered into his ear, as he stood by Steven with his hands on both of Steven's arms. Bev turned, "I'm not going anywhere." As Steven grumpily left the house, Bev and Tom watched as he drove away. With the taillights disappearing, Tom ran out to the truck, bring the box back inside. Both excited to see what was in that box. Tom quickly opened peering in at all the leather implements, Bev was the first to reach in. Pulling out something that looked like a clothes hanger, looking it over, she examined it thoroughly before looking up to Tom. Tom smiled and chuckled, `That's a humbler. The balls go in here as he pointed out the hole." Demonstrating how it goes on behind the legs or over the thighs. Bev's contorted face said it all, nothing more had to be conveyed. Picking up the plastic square ball squasher, Bev picked it up trying to figure it out. Putting her fingers through the holes, and then raising and lower the top plate, she thought she knew what it was. Twisting the nuts, Bev gestured to Tom who nodded in affirmation. Bev was making another face, asking "Why." Tom shrugged his shoulders as he shook his head. Pulling it to the side, he was going to keep that for future use. Tom explained more of the devices, revealing that his ex-partner was into most of this stuff. Bev was curious asking Tom, "You ever tried any of this?" Sighing he admitted, "I did with my ex, it was something Randy liked. I have to admit it was fun, but it's something I would like on occasion, not all the time, but I can see things get spicier for Steven knowing he kept these. I wonder if he was ever going to tell me about his little fetish." Bev didn't want to pry, but she was curious about what was in that box. "You two don't play with this stuff?" Tom laughed, "No, but we did have chastity devices on during Halloween, that was interesting." Bev raised her eyebrows, as Tom quickly ran upstairs bringing the device down. Bev accepted from Tom, looking at it, thinking "what a cruel trick to play on someone." Tom nodded saying, "Steven misplaced the keys and played a cruel trick on me," picking up the nut crusher, "I'll get him back with this." Routing through the box, Bev pulled out the restraints and a collar. Reaching for Tom's wrist, she buckled the restraint giggling as she tested if it was secure. Neither hearing Steven entering the house from the garage, he walked in on them red-handed looking at his toys. Both jumped when they were discovered, scrambling for the toys. Steven was mildly upset, or a better word, embarrassed, with their discovery. He ran over frantically confiscating the belongings and placing them back in the box. Tom quickly hid the nut crusher under the couch. Saying, "I can't leave you two alone," before heading with the box of sex toys downstairs. Bev and Tom looked at each other, giggling as Tom laughed, "We're going on a treasure hunt." Bev nodded as she placed her hand on Tom's arm, giving him a mischievous smile. Nothing more had to be said. Rubbing his hands together as he returned from the basement, Steven looked at the clock saying, "I'm hungry, did you want to go to the restaurant? I think Sam is working tonight." As he tried to avoid the incident. Feeling comfortable they won't find his private possessions. Helping Bev off the floor, Tom looked at Steven saying, "Let's go."
