Alexander the Newest Of the X-Men

Chapter 28- Revelations

Xander: (I opened the doorway into the hell dimension, and one everyone entered, I being the last, as I held the doorway open.) Show time!

Logan: "My kind of party, bring it on big boys! Grrrrrr!" (His claws coming out, as the blob made his way towards Wolverine.)

Xander: (I couldn't believe what I was seeing; there he was the true Dr. Strange, my true father. Tied to a table, a beastly looking creature, tarring out his heart, as he screamed my name!)

Dr. Strange: "Ahhhhh! Do it again and again, you'll never have my son. I've kept him hidden from you forever, and he shall stay that way, as long as I have a breath left in my body, my son will be safe. Do you hear me Magneto; you'll never have my son!"

Xander: (His words burned through my heart, my true father, speaking from his heart. Everything he's done to protect me was true, and he's paid the price, suffering at the hands of Magneto. Not anymore, I will save him, and I will finally have my real father standing by my side.

The fight ensued, Wolverine fighting the blob, while Iceman froze Quicksilver in place. Jean held up Avalanche, as he tried to use his powers against us. Mystique finally appeared, and Jubilee and Shadow cat tried to take her on, but was no match for her. That's when Scott stepped in, watching him fight, was a high to me all itself. His smooth moves, his ability to fight hand to hand combat against someone as strong as Mystique. I wanted to help, but the one I was waiting for finally came in, and he was all mine.) "Magneto, I was sure you'd be such a coward, and leave your lackeys to do your dirty work?" I asked, with a smug smile on my face.

Magneto: "I see you've finally figured things out, took you long enough. Thought you were supposed to be the bright one, the strong one, the most powerful one. All the while, I've been torturing your father.

Meanwhile having a fake, pretend to be your father, and you couldn't see through any of it. Tisk, Tisk, Tisk... What a shame, all that power, wasted on the likes of you." he said, laughing an evil laugh.

Xander: "You may have played me for a fool, but here we are and not a second too late. You're a monster, a cold, heartless monster, which doesn't deserve to breathe the same air as we do.

You've taken the most important thing away from me, the love of a father, a real father. Do you even know what the meaning of Love is? No, no, there's no way you could, cause how could a cold hearted, calculating, deceptive, deviant, evil, bastard.

You're nothing but a coward, a scared, sadistic bastard, and its time you pay for your crimes." I said adamantly.

Magneto: "Ha, Ha, Ha...You...the scared little boy, who runs to his X-men at every turn. The boy who cries at every turn, who doesn't know the meaning of being a man. You think you have the power, to bring down the most powerful mutant, ever created. Bring it on little boy, show me what you've got!" he dared me.

Scott: "Don't! Xander, don't do it, just let it be, will take care of him later. Right now, let's just get your father out of here, please!" Scott begged.

Xander: "There was no way I was going to let him get away with what he's done, my anger was fueling a rage in me, that was begging to be released.

Magneto was mine, and he was not going to get away with what he's done.

He created a magnetic force field around himself, and began moving metal objects my way. I dodge, and blocked as much as I could, but he was moving at to quick a pace. I was being bombarded by everything he threw at me, the whole time he laughed, the vilest sounding laugh.

I could still hear the screams of my father, as he continued to be tortured.

"Iceman, do something, help my father!" I shouted.

"I've tried everything, nothings working; I don't know what to do!" Bobby shouted.

Everyone turned, and started sending their powers at Magneto, but his force field blocked everything they threw at him.

As I went to block an object, one came shouting from behind me sending me flying into the wall. My head crashed through the wall, my body hanging on the other side. I could hear screams from my friends, and laughter from the Brotherhood of evil.

It was going to take a lot more than that to stop me; he just made me angrier than I'd ever been. I spun at super speed, and flipped into the air landing on the ground in front of him.

That's when I noticed a necklace around his neck, one I've never seen him have before. It all made sense now, the necklace was the key to freeing my father. All I had to do was find a way to break through his force field, and then I could free my real dad.

If only I knew how to use my true powers, if only I could find a way.

The X-Men had captured all of the Brotherhood; all that was left was Magneto and me.

"What do you want, what is your true plan, why won't you let my father free?" I asked, trying to buy myself some time.

"Why, that's easy, you, it's always been about you. Don't you have any idea what you're capable of? You hold the power to the universe, right in the power of your hands, and yet you squander them.

Don't you realize what you were made for, what your true destiny is?

You have the power to stop the war against the human, and the Mutants. It's time you take your rightful place at my side, and bring the weak humans to the knees.

With your powers, we could change the world. Mutants wouldn't need to hide, be chased like dogs, trapped in cages, used, and abused. They hunt us, kill us, study us, all I want is peace, cant you see that, with us in control, we could live in a utopia. Free to be who we are, without being persecuted for evolving into what we are today.

You are a Mutant, don't you want to save your own kind, nor do you want to sit by and let us be destroyed one by one?" he asked.

"What gives you the right to play God? Do you even understand the meaning of evolution? We're supposed to evolve into something better, better than those that came before us. Your no better than Hitler, or any of the rest, you think you know what's best for everyone, and your willing to kill, torture, maim, anyone who gets in your way.

Well that all stops here, you've messed with the wrong family, and you've messed with the wrong Mutant.

You're afraid of me, that's why you've done everything to control me, but I understand now, and I know what I have to do. It's time to end your reign of terror. This is your last stand Magneto, and I'm going to be the one to bring you down." I said.

He raised his eye brow at me, a smirk forming on his face.

"Try as you may, you can never defeat me, and oh, by the way, I will have your powers before we're done here. Sorry to break the news to you, but when I take your powers, I will take everything everyway from you, because...well, I'm afraid, when I take your powers, all of them, you will die. There must always be sacrifices when you're fighting a war, and we are fighting a war. So bring it on, I'll try to make the as painless as possible, although I'm sorry, I wont lie, your going to be in a lot of pain." he promised.

He waved his hand all around, holding all the X-Men against the wall.

This was truly between me and him, I just hope that everything I've been through, everything I've learned, all comes down to this moment.

Using everything he had, he sent everything flying at me; I used every bit of strength to hold my ground, letting everything bounce off me, pain or no pain.

Then it occurred to me, I have the power to cross barriers. His force field should be no different. I would just need to concentrate, while he threw everything he had at me.

I walked towards him, while he tried pushing me back with everything he could through. He wrapped a thick sheet of metal around me, from legs to neck, smiling the whole time. I used my heat vision to burn through the metal. I continued to walk, till I was finally face to face with him. I reached my hand out, and his force field was holding on strong.

"You'll never break through boy!" he said.

"You only know of my power, but you have no idea what those powers are capable of, it's time for you to go down, and pay for what you've done. I'm so going to enjoy this." I said.

I closed my eyes, and felt out the air around me, once again hearing everything breathe, every heartbeat. I began to glow red, I could feel the heat of the walls around me, but mostly the power of Magnetos magnetic force field, I could hear his heart began to race, fear filling him.

I reached my hand through, pushing with all my might, the more he struggled, the harder I fought. My hand finally made it through; he grabbed my hand trying to push my back. He was going to need a lot more strength than that to move me. I moved all the way through into his force field and held him by the throat, lifting him up in the air.

"You were saying? You've messed with my life, and many, many others. This is the last time, today it all stops. I'm putting an end to all of your evil ways." I said.

"Xander no! Don't do it, don't become like him, don't kill him, we will bring him to his knees the right way. Will lock him away, where he'll rot for all the crimes against humanity, for the rest of his life...Please Xander!" Scott begged.

I understood the words he said, the only thing is, I wasn't planning on killing him, not at all. Actually that kind of hurt my feelings that he would even think I would kill, I'll deal with him later.

Magneto tried to strengthen his force field, using all of his might, I could feel the pressure enclosing on me. But the power within me grew, and I began to push out against the force field, expanding it outward till the force field exploded sending us flying in different directions.

I moved as quickly as possible, and was on top of Magneto holding him down. I pulled off his helmet, as quickly as possible. Waving my hand I freed the X-Men as quickly as possible.

"Jean, now, take control of his mind. Block his powers, now is our only chance." I shouted.

Jean used her telepathy to take control of Magneto, she froze him in place. I walked up to him, and stood in front of him face to face.

"Xander wait..." Scott began, but I ignored him.

"This is the last time I'm going to warn you, you've messed with my life, you've messed with my family's life, and you've tortured my true father, for the last time. You come for any of us again, and I swear to you, you will regret the day you heard the Alexander Strange." I stood face to face, eye to eye; to he would know the truth in the words I said.

"You have no idea what you're doing, what's coming, or how to stop it. I've done you a favor, and you my son will be the one to regret this day." Magneto said.

"Don't ever call me son, I already have a father. What are you talking about?" I asked.

"First of all, you have no way of freeing your father. Secondly, you have no idea what's coming for you, what's coming for you all. I was the only one who could have stopped it, and now you've taken the only chance we had to fight against what's coming. Your fools, your all fools." he said laughing.

I lifted him up by the throat, and grabbed the necklace from around his neck, and held it in front of his face.

"This is a nice antique, seems very valuable, does it belong to anyone special?" I asked coyly.

"It's just an old trinket I like to keep, you know, for sentimental value." Magneto said.

"Really, so if I do this, nothing will happen!" I said, as I crashed it between my fingers.

I turned to look and see that my real father's body was suddenly healing, he began taking shallow breaths. My mother ran to his side, comforting him as much as she could possible can.

"You fool, you've just started Armageddon, and you have no idea what you've done. You're all going to die, and I was you're only chance at saving the whole lot of you." Magneto mocked us.

"Enough, I'm done hearing the ranting of a madman. We are the X-Men; this is what we've been training for, some longer than others. We don't need you, especially you, someone as evil as you, will turn on us the second there is something in it for you. You're done, and we don't have the time to go in circles here, you're going to prison.

Is everyone ready to go, we need to get back to the mansion. Wait a second, where is Mystique?" I asked, looking around.

"She's gone, why do you think I keep her around." Magneto said.

"Come on, we'll worry about her later, we need to get back. Everyone get ready, I'm opening a portal." I said.

Meanwhile-

"Dormammu the time has come, two more days, and the boy will come of age." she said.

"My sister, everything has worked out as planned. Soon we will have our true powers back. We will be able to bring the world above and the world below to its knees. To think, our grandchild was the key to our success the whole time, hidden right under our nose the whole time. Clea and Dr. Strange knew exactly what they were doing, we've taught them well. To bad it was all for naught, now we have them right where we want them. In two days from now, we will have the ultimate power, and bring the world crumbling to its knees." he said.

"There is just one problem, Apocalypse is free, and he's already unleashed the four horse men of the Apocalypse. There is no way he wont try to stop us, and you are not as powerful on earth, as you are here." she said.

"The enemy of my enemy is my friend. It's quite simple; they will want to take him down first, thinking I'm the lesser of the two evils. Meanwhile, our little minions, will persuade Alexander, or rather I should say, give him the only option he will be sure to take. His love for Scott Summers, or the power within him.

Humans are weak, their love blinds them to what truly should be done, and he won't lose the one he loves, stand by and watch him die. He will simply will his power to me or Scott Summers dies." he said.

"You truly are a genius brother, they will all pay, and we will be the victors." she said.

Back at the Mansion-

We all arrived in the Professors office, the blob, Quick Silver, Avalanche and Magneto.

"You've made, so much time has passed I feared the worst." Satana said.

I carried my father's body, and looked around the room. I was waiting for the Professor to say something, but he was staring in awe.

"Erik, do you have any idea what you've done? Do you understand what's going on, what's truly happening? The fate of the world is now hanging in the balance, and you're trying to play God.

Dormammu is coming, and you know what will happen if he gets the powers he seeks. Apocalypse is free, not only is he free, he's set loose the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse on the world.

While you've been plotting your own agenda, the two vilest Mutants are wagging a war that will lead to the destruction of us all, and the entire earth with it." The Professor said angrily. I'd never seen him so mad in the whole time I've known him.

"Why do you think I've done everything I have Charles, because I've known what's coming, I've always known what was coming. There was no way I was going to leave the fate of Mutant kind, in the hands of a little boy named Alexander, The Newest of the X-Men!" Magneto said.

"Erik, don't you understand, he's the only one that can stop any of this. This is his destiny, these are his powers, all that he's been through, has led him to this great battle. He's the key to our salvation, and instead of allowing us time to train him, teach him to use his gifts, you've wasted precious time, giving Dormammu and Apocalypse the upper hand.

My old friend, when will you learn, sometimes you must put aside your own agenda and join the right cause. I'll only ask you once, will you join us, and help us stop the world from being destroyed?" the Professor asked.

"What? Professor, how could you even think of asking this madman, this Bastard who'd been torturing my father all this time, hell who's tortured me, brain washed me into believe he was my father, and so much more!" My anger was rising to a place I should never let it go, the Mansion started shaking. Pictures staring to fall off the wall, everyone began to grab onto each other.

"Alexander, please calm yourself, your powers are unstable. You don't have control over them!" Hellstrom said.

"Don't tell me what to do, look, look at my father, look what that bastard has done to him!" I shouted, only this time a power was released from body, sending everyone flying back crashing against the wall. Magneto took the opportunity and used his powers, to take his men and crash through the wall escaping.

"Alexander, now look what you've done! They've gotten away, you have to calm yourself, and you don't understand what you're capable of." Satana said.

"I don't care; I don't care about anything anymore. I'm tired of this all, I'm tired of everyone looking to me to be this key to the salvation of mankind.

WILL YOU JUST LOOK AT ME FOR A MOMENT, NOT THE KEY TO THE FUTURE YOU SEE, I MEAN THE REAL ME. MY BIRTHDAY IS TWO DAYS AWAY, I'M ONLY GOING TO BE 18 YEARS OLD, DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT, 18 YEARS OLD. I HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO BE NORMAL; I'VE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO BE A KID. I'VE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO KNOW MY PARENTS.

NOW, NOW YOU ALL THINK I'M THIS GREAT AND POWERFUL WIZARD OF OZ, AND THAT I'M TO FACE AN ALL POWERFUL GOD, AND THE MOST VILE, POWERFUL MUTANT THE WORLD HAS EVER SEEN.

I CAN'T DO THIS, I CAN'T, AND I DON'T WANT TO. I DON'T WANT TO DIE, THERE'S SO MUCH I WANT TO DO, SO MUCH I WANT TO SEE, AND LEARN. I'M NOT READY TO CHECK OUT, BUT IF I GO UP AGAINST THEM, I'M A DEAD MAN.

BUT THAT'S NOT THE WORST OF IT, IF ANYONE ONE OF THE PEOPLE I LOVE DIE, THAT IN ITS SELF WILL KILL ME.

I DON'T WANT ANY OF YOU TO DIE, AND I DON'T WANT TO DIE.

SO DAMN YOUR DESTINY, DAMN THIS WAR, DAMN ALL OF IT TO HELL. I'M OUT, I'M JUST A TEENAGER, THIS IS TO MUCH FOR ME, I CAN'T HANDLE IT, I DON'T WANT TO HANDLE.

I DON'T WANT TO DIE!

Now please, take care of my father Jean, please I beg of you, but I've got to get out of here." I shouted, with tears running down my cheeks. I turned to the window and started to float out, my heart breaking, only the reality was, I truly didn't want to die, but most of all, I didn't want to watch one of my friends, because I could be what they expected me to be. Most of all, to lose the one I love, to lose Scott, because I know he will jump in the way to save me, if he thought I was in trouble for even one moment, getting himself killed.

"Xander! Xander, please come back, we'll work this out, please Xander!" Scott yelled.

But I never turned my head; I could stand to see the disappointment in his face.

I took off flying as fast as I could possible fly; I was breaking the sound barrier for the first time ever. I could hear the sounding boom, I've never flown this fast. The tears never let up, I could not control the sobs, my chest pounding, and my heart was breaking.

What am I doing?

Back at the Mansion-

"We have to go after him right now, he's broken, he's lost, and he's scared. He needs me; he needs me now more than ever." Scott said, his voice filled with panic.

"Scott, just let him get some air, he's scared, and he's right. We've all been going on, and on about how he's the only one who can save us. He is just a kid, no matter how mature he is, no matter how much he's shown his willingness to save the world, us, anyone in trouble time and time again.

We've never once asked him what's happening inside his head, what he's feeling, what he's thinking. It's not fair, it's not right that someone so young should carry the burden not one of us, who have been doing this for years, could ever carry. Just give him some space; he'll come back in his own time. Now, I'm taking Dr. Strange down to the infirmary." Jean said.

"Professor, The Brotherhood got away, Dormammu is out there somewhere, and Apocalypse is free, we can't leave Xander out there alone right now. We have to find him, we have to protect him. He needs us now more than ever, he's not safe alone. If no one will help me, I'm going on my own, I have to find him." Scott said.

"You're completely right Scott, take a team, and use the X-Jet. I'll use Cerebral to find him, and I'll contact you the second I do." Pro X said.

Meanwhile-

"He's coming, I can feel his power, and he's heading straight for us. The time has come my children, the boy is ours." Apocalypse said.

"He will have no chance against us, for we are the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse." Famine said.

"Don't underestimate the boy, if he had mere mutant powers, I would not be after him." Apocalypse said.

I slowed down my flying, I don't even know how far I got, or where I even was, all I knew was I felt a sudden fear of danger lurking around the corner.

I acted like a stupid childish brat, and now, I've left myself vulnerable to the monsters after me.

Oh Scott, what have I done?

As I slowed down I realized where I was, I could see the formation of the ancient hedge stones. Something was beckoning me there, something sinister, but I couldn't resist the pull, it was like a magnet drawing me in.

I landed in the center, and looked around, but there was nobody there. But I could feel it inside my bones, something was wrong, had I just walked into a trap, had I just sentenced myself to death?

"We finally meet at last; I've waited millennia for this moment. I just didn't think you'd be so small, so young, and so...insignificant." Apocalypse said.

I was suddenly surrounded by the four Horsemen, and Apocalypse.

Scott, forgive me, I love you!

"From all the stories I heard about you, I expected you to be bigger, what a disappointment. Talk about insignificant, you can't even fight your own battles yourself, you need to hide behind these creatures. You're pathetic!" I said, having no idea what I was doing, other than maybe pissing him off.

"Ahh, the lovely banter portion of our fight, how touching. Why fight destiny, you only have two choices, join me, and we can rule the world, or die, while I take all your powers away." he asked.

"Hmm, let me think about that for a minute...Evil madman, wants to destroy the world...join forces with him, and kill everybody. Naw, I think I'll take my chances and fight. You don't scare me, not even a little." I lied, hoping he would buy it.

"Really, then how come the hairs on the back of your neck are standing straight up? You've been told lies about me; all I seek is tranquility, peace. Everyone thinks I want to destroy the world, when all I want is to evolve it, into what it can truly be." he said.

"Sure, see these four minions don't rain any kind of destruction at all. What are a few million people dead, to turn this world into your utopia? I don't buy it, you a power hungry monster, who's hurt the very people I love, and all the people on earth I'm sworn to protect. I may be young, but I'm nobody's fool. Try as you may, you will never have my powers, I'll die, before you ever have the chance to take them." I promised.

"Dead or alive, I can still take your powers, it's your choice. Now will it be the easy way, or the hard? Believe me, I'm hoping it's the hard way, I've been cooped up to long, and in need of a true fight." he said.

Meanwhile-

The X-Jet-

(Scott, I've located him, and he's not alone. He's at stone hedge, and I have a reading of five others with him. Apocalypse and the four Horsemen. He doesn't have a chance against them alone, you must hurry.) The Professor said.

"It's time to push this jet to the max, everyone hang on tight, and we've got to save Xander." Scott said.

The Dark Dimension-

"He's at Stone Hedge my brother, and Apocalypse is there, we must move now if we're to gain his power."

"The time is not right, his powers will not be fully manifest until his birthday, and we must stop Apocalypse before he ruins everything." Dormammu said.

The Mansion-

"How is he doing?" Clea asked Jean.

"He should be waking up any moment, his body is normal; there is nothing wrong with him. Whatever Xander did when he broke the necklace, it healed Dr. Strange perfectly." Jean said.

"WH-where am I?" Dr. S. asked.

"Your at the Mansion Dr. Strange, Alexander rescued you, and brought you here. Just take it slow, your body has been through a lot." Jean said.

"Alexander! My son, where is he, I must speak with him at once?" he said getting up, and looking over to see his wife, with tears filled in her eyes.

"Oh Stephen, I can't believe your alive, and that it's really you!" Clea said.

"Clea, my darling Clea, Can it really be you? All this time I thought you were dead, how is it your still alive?" he asked.

"It's a long story, for another time. But the short version, our son saved me, from being enslaved by Dormammu, and my mother." she said.

"I thought as parents we were supposed to be saving our child, it seems he's doing all the saving. Please where is he, I need to see him, I need to explain." he said, hugging Clea close to his chest.

"That's the thing, he kind of took off, and the X-Men are looking for him now. It was a bit too much for him to handle the pressure everyone was putting on him, telling him he had to save the world, and that he would die doing so." Jean said, knowing that from reading the minds of others.

"No, there is another way; we have to get to him. He doesn't have to die; there is another way to stop all of this. I don't understand, I hid him all his life, how did he come to be here?" he asked.

"Once again, long story, for another day. Right now, I suggest we find out if they've located him or not." Jean said, leading the way to the Professor.

Meanwhile-

Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, suddenly Dormammu and his sister appeared.

"Hello Grandfather, Grandmother, I'd say it was a pleasure to see you again, but that would be a lie." I said.

"Did you really think we'd let the likes of you Apocalypse, get your claws on our heir?" Dormammu said.

"Dormammu, you have half your strength here on earth, what makes you think your any match for me, and my men?" Apocalypse said.

"Alone, I might not have my full power, but my sister and I together, are a force of nature the likes of which you've never seen. Either way, the boy has two days till he comes into his full powers, and if you try to take away anything right now, all would be loss, and neither of us would have a chance to gain his true power." Dormammu said.

"And here I thought you came to rescue me, so much for blood being thicker than water." I said, truly feeling over my head. What a time to throw a temper tantrum. Here I am alone, against the two most dangerous people that wanted my head served on a silver platter.

Maybe if I super speed out of here, they won't be able to catch me?

Then what, stay running for the rest of my life? If this is my destiny, then I might as well make the stand now, while it's just me here. No one I love around to get hurt, just me, then one way or the other, this will all be over.

Once again, I'm sorry Scott, and please, please, please, remember I love you.

"You really could try to super speed your way out of here, but you really wouldn't get very far." Apocalypse said.

"Ah, so you read minds too, good to know. So are we all going to stand around looking at each other all day, or are we going to get on with the show?" I asked.

"In a rush to die so soon, for all this to be over? Why the rush?" Apocalypse asked.

"I'm tired of the games, all the looking behind my back. I want this over with, and trust me, if I'm going down; I'm taking as many of you Bastards with me!" I said adamantly.

"You truly think you have the power to stop me, the most powerful Mutant the world has ever seen? I've watched you boy, I know what you're made of, what your cable of, and it pales insignificantly to the power I have in my pinky." Apocalypse said.

"Then you have nothing to worry about do you! So what happened to you, both of you? How can you be so evil? How can you have no humanity, no souls?" I asked, trying to buy time.

"Humanity, souls, all just a name for something that isn't even there. Have you ever seen a soul? Can you put a sweater on a soul? Can you taste, touch, or smell it? I didn't think so. Humanity is all about perception, you choose to perceive our intentions as evil, when in reality, all I want is to create a world in my image. One filled with peace for everyone, sure under my rule. But what good is world, without a ruler?" Apocalypse asked.

"You're insane, but I'm sure you already know that. Hitler thought his intentions were pure, thought he was creating a new world order. One that would leave him in charge, and everyone living in peace under his rule. All he did was massacre people, and for what being different. Your no different, and the same way he went down, so shall you." I was starting to believe my own words.

"Bored now! Apocalypse you will not harm a hair on that boy's head, he's all mine. This is a family matter, and quite frankly you have no power here. I've created a spell that even blocks your powers from being fully functional. That's what you get for talking so damn much." Dormammu said.

Apocalypse tried to use his powers, but nothing happened. Whatever spell was cast; it must have been a strong one to stop him.

That's when I felt it, and it couldn't have come at a better time.

I felt that pull swallowing me in, like I was falling through a hole, Bamm!

"Madam Web, I could kiss you!" I shouted.

"How sweet, but we haven't much time for that." she said with a smile on her face.

"I'd ask how you knew I was in over my head, but I know you won't answer. Still, I'm grateful, you have perfect timing. I had no idea what I was going to do!" I said.

"Alexander, time is of the essence now, and everything rests on your shoulders. I'm sorry you carry the burden of the world on your shoulders, but that's just the way things are. I'm sorry someone so young, must save the lives of everyone on this and other planets.

Apocalypse and Dormammu are vying for your powers, and in two days they will be coming for them, and nothing will stop them." She began.

"I already know this, and I know you already know I said I give up, I want no part in this. But I guess what I want doesn't really matter, the power is inside me and no matter what I do, they're going to come looking for it. So what am I going to do, how do I even try to fight these monsters?" I begged.

"Sacrifice!" she said.

"Please Madam Web, no cryptic messages, help me, I'm clueless here, and I need help." I once again begged.

"Sacrifice, it's all about the sacrifices we must make. You are going to have to make a choice, the hardest choice you'll ever make in your entire life. You're going to have to sacrifice the one you love most, it's the only way. When the time comes, you'll only have one chance, if you hesitate for even one moment, you will lose, and then the rest of the world, universe, will lose." She explained.

"Sacrifice who? Scott? My mom, dad, Jean, who damn it?" I demanded.

"I can not tell you that, you will know when the time comes. I'm sorry Alexander, for once, I wish nothing more than to tell you everything I know. You're life has been a sequence of events leading to this very moment in time; it's what will help you with what you must face next.

I beg of you, no matter what your heart tells you, you must make the sacrifice necessary to save the world. You're the only one with the power to do so, the only one who can make the sacrifice necessary to ensure the survival all life.

This will devastate you; it will break you, but the needs of the many, out weighs the needs of the one.

I never wanted this for you, but this was beyond my control. However I've given you everything you need to do what must be done, and you must win, I'm counting on you, everyone is.

This is life, life is loss, and we all lose the ones we love, at one point or another. For you, the only chance you have is to learn to use your powers in two days time, and be ready to make the sacrifice necessary to save everyone.

That is all I can give you, I wish I had more, I wish there was something more I could do, but it's beyond me.

This is the last chance I will have to speak with you, before the battle that lays ahead.

I know your heart is bigger than any human I've ever met, I know what you must face will be the must difficult trial you will endure. But I also know, that you are special, that you will find the way to defeat these monsters, and keep the world safe. It is what you were born to do, your destiny." she said, as a tear rolled down her cheek.

"Why? Why me, why does death and destruction follow me wherever I go, whoever I touch. If I'm so good, why do I feel so evil, why do I feel like the bringer of death? I don't want to watch someone I love die, I don't want to die. I just don't understand, how the Powers That Be could, be so cruel that they would choose a 17 year old boy, to face what thousands of other mutants have faced, and died doing. Died trying to rid the world of these two Bastards.

I'm just a boy, why does everyone forget, I'm just a boy?" I cried the tears unable to be held back.

"We all are chosen for reasons beyond comprehension, and whether you're a boy, or a man, this is your battle and yours alone.

I have faith in you; I believe in you, I've risked everything because I know that you can do this.

I'm sorry Alexander, our time is up, you have to leave, and you have to leave now. The X-Men are on there way to Stone Hedge, and we don't want that, it's not time. I will use my powers, to send all of you back to the mansion. You must learn everything you can about your powers, and you must prepare yourself to lose the one you love. I'm sorry, but that is all I can do for you.

Good luck Alexander, and May the spirits protect you." Tears flooded her eyes, her heart beating hard in her chest, I knew she truly cared, and her words hung heavy on my heart.

We looked at each other for one last time, before I fell through hole. The next thing I knew I was on the ground in front of the mansion.

I grabbed my knees, and rested my head on them, and began to sob like I'd never sobbed before.

Someone I love was going to die, and in my heart of hearts I knew who it would be, I knew I was going to lose Scott. She said everything I've been through was to prepare me for that moment, and the one constant thing in my life, is that I always lose Scott, sure we always find each other in the end, but losing him each time, was preparing me for the inevitable, I was going to lose the man I love, the only man I've ever loved. I had no choice, the fate of the world rested in my hands, and his death would be the only way to ensure the survival of all life.

I let out a scream so loud, I could feel the earth move beneath me.

In the Hanger-

"I don't understand, how did we get back here, we were almost at Stone Hedge?" Jean said.

"Wait, did you hear that? Did you feel that? Xander is here Jean, I can feel it, he's here and he needs us." Scott said.

The whole X team got out of the hanger bay, Scott following his heart, it leading him to his lover.

The Professor, Dr. Strange, Clea, as well as the others in the Mansion all arrived to the front of the Mansion at the same time, to find Xander crying on the lawn.

Scott was at his side, faster than anyone could think to move. He grabbed Xander into his arms and held onto him for dear life.

I put my head on Scott's chest, and cried uncontrollably.

"It's alright, your going to be alright. I'm here baby, and I'm never going to let you go. You're mine, I'm yours, will always be together." Scott tried to comfort me, his worlds tarring a hole in my heart.

"I don't understand, Alexander, how did you get here? How did the X-Men get here? What happened?" The Professor asked.

I tried to control my sobbing, tried to speak, but where would I even begin.

"There all here, Apocalypse, Dormammu, they're ready to begin this battle, and we only have two days for me to learn to use my powers." I said between sobs, everyone's eyes on me.

"But how did you get here?" he asked.

"It was Madam Web, her last gift to me, to save me one last time, so I could do what needs to be done." I said.

"Alexander, I'm not trying to invade you mind, you know I would never do that. But I can see the surface of what you're showing, but there is something so powerful, that you're hiding. Please, if it's something that can help us win, then trust us, and tell us." the Professor begged.

"I'm sorry Professor X, you know I can't shield my mind for you, but this one thing is blocked by people who have powers far beyond anything we've ever seen. It is for me to know, and only me to know, for when the time comes, it will have to be me that makes the choice, and sacrifices everything to make sure we win. I'm sorry but I can't say, it's the only way." I explained the best I could.

"I understand, now what can we do, how do we prepare for this battle? Did she give you anything that might help us, defeat them?" he asked.

I wiped my tears away, and stood up, tall and strong, it was time to except my destiny, time to put everything I felt inside away, and be the hero everyone was counting on me to be.

"Dr. Strange, I mean Father, I'm sorry, I've just had one to many trick fathers, and it's hard to believe you're real. Father, I need to know everything, and I mean everything, you can no longer protect me that time is long past. The fate of all worlds rest on my learning everything, what you know, what my powers are, and how to use them.

If we have any chance at winning this, I need to know everything." I sounded like a man in charge, instead of a scared boy.

"Oh my Son, how I've longed to hear the sound of your voice, to see you with my own two eyes. First, I must beg your forgiveness. Second, I promise you, I will tell you all there is to know, and I will teach you everything. Together we will win this, we will stop these vile Mutants, and I promise you." he said, walking over to me and holding me in his arms for the first time.

"Then this is the beginning of the end, I ask you now, all of you here, in two days the battle for life as we know it will begin. Will you stand with me, and fight for the freedom, and safety of all. Before you answer, understand this, we are not facing the Brotherhood of Evil, or some backwater Mutants, we are facing the real deal here. A God and an indestructible Mutant.

No one will think any less of you if you decide to leave now, and go be with your families.

But I can't have anyone that is standing on the fence, you must make your choice, and it must be yours alone to make.

Will you stand with the X-Men and fight a battle that we could lose, that you could very well die in? Yes, I don't mean to scare you, but this is what you've been preparing yourselves for, and I'm sorry, a war has begun, and death is apart of war.

Look to your left, and to your right, and be sure that you make a choice to stand and fight, live or die, or leave now." I heard myself speak these words, the words of a leader, and I could hardly believe it was me speaking.

Every face stared from me, then to one another, tears forming in some, and others looking ready and willing.

<I'm so proud of you, you've become a leader, you are no longer a student.> Jean and the Professor both spoke telepathically to me.

"I guess I really must have rubbed of on you, you sound like a leader, and I couldn't have spoken better myself." Scott whispered in my ear, and tightly grabbed my hand.

"This is our home, we've all been outcast, denied by our families, friends. The Professor gave us a home to call our own; to teach us to fight for what's right. We will stand with you, it will be our honor, and we will defeat them, because together we are the X-Men!" Jean spoke the words running through everyone's mind.

"Then let us began, they gave us a battle, now its time we give them a war. FOR THE FREEDOM OF ALL LIVING BEINGS! WE ARE THE X-MEN, AND WE WILL WIN THIS BATTLE, TOGETHER!" I shouted. Everyone began cheering, while my heart was aching.

This was the only way, the way it was meant to be. I hated that I was the key to all this and that I was the bringer of death.

But I had no choice, I had to let it all go, they were all depending on me now, and I would not let them down.

I grabbed Scott into a hug, and lifted us off the ground; I floated as high into the air, till there were clouds beneath us.

"I love you Scott Summers, more than you will ever know, more than I could ever say. Please remember that always, you are my everything, you have given me everything, you saved me when I was lost, you gave me life when I was dead, you gave me hope when all I felt was despair. My heart, my soul, my life, is yours always and forever." I said, tears rolling down my cheeks.

"I love you too Xander, I've always love you, and once this is over we're going away, far away. We've earned that much, a trip somewhere, on a desert Island. You mean everything to me, I would die for you, and you've given me more, than I could have ever given you. With my very last breath I will love you, and even in death I will love you. For you are mine eternally." he said.

"Oh Scott, I'm scared, I don't want to lose you, you're my life. I can't imagine my life without you, I feel as if I would die without you. Please don't ever leave me, always be with me." I begged, knowing it was a promise he would never be able to keep.

"That's easy, I'm not going anywhere, and neither are you. We have a future together, a long, long one, and no matter what happens, we will always be together. Love never dies, and our love is and always shall be, forever." he said.

He grabbed my head and kissed me with a fiery passion, which left me light headed, and begging for more. I wanted to hold this moment in my mind forever. I wanted to freeze time, and keep us right here, and now, just like this, in each other's arms, his sweet lips pressed against mine. His strong body holding me firmly against his.

"I love you Scott Summers, I love you!"

Please Powers that Be, whoever you are, don't take this man away from me. I will die without him, and we've been through so much already. It's not fair, why do the fates keep us apart, when we completely each other so perfectly? I've never asked for anything, and I've done everything you've ever asked. Please don't let me lose the one I love!
