Wow, talk about a response! I got a bunch of emails about the last chapter and it was great! Ya’ll loved it! I’m glad everyone liked it and I hope to be able to keep it up. The emails really are great!

Last time:

"Heeeyy JJJJCeeee! Wasssssuppppp?" He slurred. Then he saw where they were taking him. "Noooo! I ccan’tt. He haates me! He’ll jjjustt yell at mmmmeee more." Mark struggled to get free from Chris and JC, but he was just too drunk.

Chris looked at JC, as they seemed to have the same thought. "Ok, come on, you can crash in my room." And they carried Mark into Chris’s suite. JC swung Mark around so that Chris could pull out the sofa bed that was in the living room of his suite. Once again Mark had passed out. The two of them managed to get Mark undressed down to his boxers and into the bed. They walked out into the hall to meet up with the rest of the guys in Dale and Kris’s suite. On the way, they each explained to the other what they found out had happened.

"We’ve got to figure out how to get these two to talk to each other. They’re both stubborn and won’t take the first step." JC remarked.

"Yea, and over such a stupid little thing. I mean Lance overreacted a bit, and I can’t really blame Mark for what he did, he just wanted to listen to us sing. Tomorrow will definitely be an interesting day." Chris replied as they walked in to explain to the others what they found out and work on getting the two back together.

And now on to Chapter Seventeen!

Mark woke up to the smells of coffee, bacon and eggs and a little confused as to where he was. Getting up he realized he was on the sofa bed in one of the guy’s suite, he assumed it was Chris’s as on the other side of the room was Chris and Danni wheeling in a room service cart.

"Good morning bud, how ya feeling?" Chris noticed Mark had awakened.

"Hey, doing ok. What time is it?" Mark climbed out of bed, and grabbed some coffee from off the cart.

"10am, the guys should be here in a few minutes. We’re all going to have breakfast here before we head out to celebrate your birthday." Chris grabbed some food and sat down on the other couch next to Danni.

Mark tensed up, remembering what happened last night with Lance. "All the guys are coming over?"

"Hmm, something tells me you remember what happened last night. I’m surprised, considering you downed a whole bottle of whiskey."

"Well I remember the fight Lance and I had. And I remember you’re finding me in the bar but it gets fuzzy from there."

"Well you told me about the fight and what it was all about. I brought you back up here with JC’s help, but when we got to Lance’s door you freaked out and so we carried you into here where you passed out."

"Oh, so are you mad at me too?"

"Mad? What for you getting drunk?"

"No, for what I did."

"Oh you mean the CD? Naw, I’m not thrilled about what you did, but I know you didn’t do it to hurt us."

"Thanks, that means a lot. I’d hate to lose your friendship over a stupid CD." Mark got up and fixed himself a plate. Justin and Britney walked into the room.

"Naw, you won’t lose us over something like that." Chris continued.

"Our friendship isn’t the only thing you won’t lose over this Mark." Justin chimed in as he started to fix himself some breakfast. Mark just nodded and hung his head down. JC and Kris wandered in a little later. Mark pulled his clothes back on and fixed himself a plate as well. Everyone chatted while eating. Eventually the door opened up and Lance came into the room. Suddenly the room got quiet. Mark and Lance stared at each other for a minute. Lance then walked over to the food cart and fixed himself a plate. The rest of the group still watched in silence.

"So, where’s Joey and Dale?" Lance asked as he looked around the room for a place to sit.

"Oh, I’ll go get them." Mark jumped up and darted out of the door.

Lance just stared at the door after Mark had run out. The rest of the group just sat there in silence for a while. Finally Kris spoke up.

"Well, that could have gone better." Lance’s head flew around and he glared at Kris. "Look, Lance, I’m the only one here that doesn’t really know you, but I know Mark and I know that despite what happened last night he still loves you. I could see it in his eyes when you walked in here. But I also know Mark won’t make the first move to make up until he knows that you’re interested in patching things up with him." Kris looked around at the room to see that everyone was staring at him now. Lance just nodded and sat down where Mark had been sitting. He could smell Mark still on the sofa bed. Tears started to swell up in his eyes.

*** Meanwhile***

Mark stopped a few yards down the hall from Chris’s door after he had run out. He stood there, trying to compose himself. After a few minutes of trying to hold back the tears he walked over to Joey’s door and knocked on it. There was no answer, after knocking on it again he remembered that they guys usually have access to each other’s rooms so he pulled out the key card he had for Lance’s suite and tired it in the lock. Sure enough the light went from red to green and Mark stepped inside. The suite was similar to the others, a living room, kitchenette and bedroom. Joey wasn’t in the living room or kitchenette so Marked walked over to the bedroom door which was still open. Slowly walking in, Mark found that the bed wasn’t slept in, it was still made up. This struck him as a little odd, but he couldn’t think of where else Joey would be. So he headed down to Dale and Kris’s suite to get Dale. Mark had a key card to this suite too since technically he was staying in the suite too. Walking in he saw that the door to Dale’s bedroom was still closed.

"That bum would sleep through the second coming." He muttered to himself as he walked over to the door, turning the knob and walking in. "Dale, you bum, get your ass out of bed, we’re all wait------." Mark stopped in his tracks once he saw the bed.

Lying in the bed was Dale, asleep. And lying next to him with his arms wrapped around Dale was Joey.

"WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?" I shouted loud enough to make Dale jump awake in shock. He jumped out of the bed naked and put on his robe. Joey woke up to all the commotion. Joey say Dale standing there blushing a deep red and Mark standing at the door to the bedroom.

"Shit." Joey mumbled as he pulled his underwear that was on the floor next to the bed under the sheets and back on him.

"Would you guys like to tell me what’s going on?" Mark inquired as he walked over towards one of the chairs in the room.

"It’s not what you think." Dale replied.

"Oh really? Hmm, let's see, you naked in bed, Joey naked in the same bed snuggled up with you. I know you’re gay Dale, but I never thought you were Joey."

Joey got out of the bed and started gathering up his clothes. "I’m not gay."

"Uh sure, then what was it I just saw?"

"Mark, can you give Dale and I a few minutes?"

"Yea, um, sure. I’ll just wait out in the living room. Don’t be to long cause everyone is upstairs having breakfast and waiting for us." Mark looked over at Dale; he had a look of confusion on his face. Mark got up and walked out into the living room.

After the bedroom closed behind Mark, Dale spoke up; "So what the hell did you mean by you’re not gay? After what we did last night."

"Dale, please, calm down and let me explain. I know I’m not gay, I still like girls. But I also really like the time we spent with each other last night. So I guess I’m Bi. No, I know I am, I’ve always been attracted to girls and the past few years I’ve been attracted to guys too. I didn’t want to hurt you, I really did enjoy being with you."

"Oh, so I’m just one of your little excursions?" Dale taunted.

"Actually, I think I’d like if you were more. You made me feel something that I haven’t felt in a long time." Joey walked up to Dale wrapping his arms around him. "I’ve only had just meaningless sex with other guys, but last night was different, you made me feel special and it felt good." He leaned in and gave Dale a kiss. "Just one thing."

"Oh, what is that?" Dale had wrapped his arms around Joey and found himself stroking the back of his brown mane of hair.

"Could we keep this between us, I’m not really ready for the guys to know."

"Oh. Well I guess I can understand that, what with what’s going on with Lance and Mark right now."

"Yea. I’m sure Mark won’t say anything."

"No he won’t. Now lets get cleaned up, he’s waiting for us.

Dale and Joey got showered and dressed pretty quickly. Fortunately Joey was about the same size as Dale so he was able to borrow some clothes so he wouldn’t show up wearing what he had wore the night before. They walked out where they found Mark sitting on the couch with a blank look on his face.

"Mark, is everything okay?" Joey walked over to him and sat down next to him.

"I just was thinking about what I’m going to say to him, I mean I can’t avoid him forever. I just hope that he can forgive me for copying your music."

"Hey, I’m sure he will. Dude, you’re a great guy and he is madly in love with you. You’ll make up I know it. Now come on, cheer up, we’re going to celebrate your birthday!" He grabbed Mark and pulled him off the couch and the tree went up to Chris’s suite for breakfast.

Just as they were about to open the door to Chris’s suite, Dale pulled Mark aside. "Do us a favor, could you not let the others know about Joey and I just yet. We’re not ready to let them know."

"Huh, oh yea." Mark seemed rather distant in his reply.

"Hey, listen to Joey, he’s right, he still loves you." Dale pulled Mark into a hug. With that they walked into the suite.

The rest of the group was almost finished eating breakfast. Mark joined Joey and Dale at the cart fixing up a plate.

Dale walked over and sat down next to JC. "So, what's the plan for today Lance?"

"Huh? What, oh." Lance found himself staring at Mark as he was fixing his plate. "Um, well we have a few interviews, then a celebrity luncheon reception for the charity event. Then, um, well we all had something special planned seeing as how, its, um…." Lance was obviously becoming antsy and uncomfortable. "It's um…"

"It's Mark's birthday." Chris spoke up. "Ok, enough of this shit. Mark, Lance get your asses over here!" Chris spoke in a voice that the rest of the guys knew you didn't dare challenge him. Lance sulked over towards Chris. Mark, looking confused and somewhat uneasy also walked over. As soon as the two of them were within his reach, Chris grabbed both of them and dragged them into the bedroom, and all they way into the bathroom. Forcing Lance to sit on the side of the tub and Mark to sit on the sink counter. Chris was still in his stern yelling mode, "Now you listen to me. This fight you had last night is bullshit and you both know it. It's not something to ruin your relationship and as your friend I'm not going to let you let that happen. You will not, and I repeat, will not leave this bathroom till you have made up. Is that clear?" With that he left, closing the door behind him.

Well, there it is! What will happen in the bathroom with Mark and Lance? Sorry to leave it like a cliffhanger, but it just seemed like a logical choice to end the chapter. Hope you enjoyed it. Keep up the emails!
