"Man, Kev, I knew you were an asshole but this? Just sad. What do you think, Nick?" he asked. Nick spaced out during the story and AJ grabbed his arm. "Let go of me! I never did anything to you!" he shouted and ran off. "Ok, the boy's off his rocker." AJ replied. "No, let me go to him. I think I know what's wrong." Robin got up and left. He ran after Nick and into his room to find the blonde singer in the fetal position, crying. Robin sat and put Nick's head in is lap for a pillow. "God..." he sobbed. "I thought I could block it out. I did for a day." He continued crying as Robin held him. "I never thought it'd happen to me." "No one ever really expects it." Robin murmured. "It just hits you and you've got to take your experience and turn it into learning. I mean, you're not going walking alone there again, are you?" he asked. "No." he sniffled. "Why do you live near there?" "Because. Writing isn't really bringing in money. I love doing it but it isn't the best of pays." Robin explained. Nick quieted. Robin got up to leave. "Stay, please." Nick whispered. "Can you stay and talk? Just about anything and everything?" "Of course, Nick." Robin sat back down on the bed. "It's good to trust someone once in a while." Nick pointed out. "Did you have anyone to talk to before now?" "Well, no one at all, really." Robin replied softly as he rubbed Nick's back. "I mean, I DO have god knows how many volumes of journals at home but I never had anyone to actually talk to." "When was the last time you fell in love?" he asked sleepily. Robin sighed. "When I was 15, Nick, I thought I had the most wonderful guy anyone could ask for. I was going out with an older guy so I thought it would be cool. But well...you know what happened." Robin's eyes cast a far away glance. "I don't think I can love anymore. I can't feel it. Like falling in love, I don't know if I'm capable of that anymore." he confessed sadly. "No one can stop loving." Nick whispered. "Especially someone as wonderful as you." "Thanks for the compliments, Nick. But neither you OR Kevin can change how I am." Robin smiled. "It's the truth." Nick muttered before falling into a deep sleep. Robin shifted himself into a comfortable position. "If only things you say are true, Nick. I really hope you're right." He turned out the light and settled for the night. End Chapter 5 of Concertina E-mail is always good. Course, you could also visit my site: http://www.angelfire.com/fl5/harle/index2.html
