If you're offended by homosexual themes I don't want you here anyway. :p This story is a work of complete, and utter F-I-C-T-I-O-N ... so it is NOT meant to imply anything about the sexuality of any of the members of Nsync! Note: This is the only thing I have to do with the time in which I get bored... So screw a break. I also gathered from the feedback that you guys figure it out, right? Good. If 12 had too much gore for you, then I'll continue to keep the fights just as disgusting. I LOVE having people read my story, but I'm not one to take out what I think is one of the best parts of a story. Sorry. (I only had one person say it was a little on the gorey side... Had the nerve to tell me not to do that again, or he/she won't read anymore! I say screw you... and, yes... I wanted to embarass you in front of a bunch of people.. thats why I didn't say this in my reply... You self centered dick head!) *To everyone who still likes me: Thanks! and sorry 'bout that up there. I'm just extremely good at holding grudges. ;) One more thing ... (I just finished the first paragraph.) I was having trouble trying to pick appropriate atire for something like this, and had to give them nonfantasy-like stuff. Just to clear any confusion that I might have aroused (Considering the site... no pun intended...). This story is set in a mythical scene, but keep in mind the people from Derux are not uncivilized, and do know at least a little about fashion. Every realm has ever-evolving styles! :) Other stories: Nsync Saga - A great story for those of you who like the magic setting full of prophecies. Nsync and the Vamps - Another great story with magic, and such. Tears in your(?) eyes - I can't remember if it's Tears in my eyes, or in yours.. :) Anyway, it's a great story, set in a realistic plane, rather than this gory one. ;) Nsync and RJ - Temporarily put on hold, but still a great story to read. There's really no telling when the author's life will straighten out just a tiny bit, and let him get the next installment out, but I know I'm looking forward to that... ** This is too long already. For those of you who read everything above the story ... Sorry. :) ***************************************************************************** From 12: Later that night, when everyone was asleep, I called to Celeste. She flowed down to earth, forming the beautiful form she liked so much. "Yes?" She asked. "Mother, I don't know how we are going to clear the temple. Please, can you help us?" She frowned, and hung her head. "I cannot promise my help. Isaiah, and I vowed not to help in any fight unless it was completely necesary. Unless you are on the verge of dieing, we cannot step in. I have to speak with Isaiah. If we cannot help, I know you can do it. You'll find a way. Get some sleep, you'll need lots of rest for tomorrow." I hugged her, and she melted away in my embrace. I watched her flow into the sky like a lost cloud. I had a dreamless sleep that night. I had never had a dreamless sleep in my life. I welcomed the uneventful sleep with open arms. ***************************************************************************** Chapter 13: I woke up, shocked by the lack of dreams. I quickly pushed that out of my mind, focussing on what was to come. I looked around, and noticed I was the second one up. I hadn't disrobed last night, so I was in need of a change. The robe was stained with the blood of the vampire elite. I opened my pack and dug through, looking for something appropriate for a war with the undead. I saw something else I didn't remember packing. I looked over at Justin, and saw he was wearing what I had found. There was no lake around, so I couldn't wash up. I would have to continue to smell undead until I found some water. I pulled out the black skin-tight shirt, leather pants, and trench coat. 'It may be a little hard to move in this, but as much as there will be, I'm glad to have something blood likes to just roll off of.' I thought. I slipped behind a nearby rock to change. I made my way to the spot where Justin was sitting, grabbing my pack along the way. I sat next to Justin, pulling some apples out of my pack. "Hungry?" I asked. He had the apple before I could blink. "Thanks." He mumbled between bites. "Something bothering you?" He stopped devouring the apple, and threw the core to one side. "What was I doing wrong? So I didn't make a mess like everyone else. I don't understand why that fucker wouldn't die! I stabbed him in the heart like you do most vampires." I sighed. "I've heard of the ficticious vampires of your realm. You can't simply stab the heart, you must destroy it. That, or you can decapitate them." He looked longinly at the apple I held in my hand. "Oh, OK! I can do that. By the way, thanks for saving me." I smiled, handed him the apple, and said "You're welcome." I reached into my pack, and pulled out another piece of fruit. I immediatly began eating it, to prevent a certain healthy appetite from claiming it. After we both finished our light breakfast, I had a sudden craving for a visit to the fantasy realm. The fantasy realm was the drug of our world. It gave you complete bliss, but the lack of emotions took it's toll on everyone. "If you could create a world to call your own, what would it be like?" I asked. He looked at me strangely, and thought about it. "I think I would like to be in a world where puberty didn't take control of teenage girls minds, and make them all want to claim me only because I'm famous. Having fans isn't always bad, but when every teenage girl in the world says they love me, and that I belong to them, when they don't even know me, is too much." I laughed, and looked over my shoulder. Everyone else was still asleep. "Your ego really is out of control. I'm going to show you something. It'll be a little weird at first, but you'll get used to it. You'll probably be alone when we finish, so don't freak out. It's perfectly safe, and feels awesome." He nodded, and I started chanting. The familiar ball of energy began forming between us. I continued my chant until it engulfed us. I stood in the darkness, staring at the nothingness around me. A glimmer caught my eye, making me turn. I saw a single ray of light breaking through the darkness. The light changed into the form of my mother, standing completely still. A crackle of thunder behind me made me turn back. A bolt of black lightning struck the solid nothing, and changed into the form of Malak, only he wasn't the Malak I saw before. He was dressed in white, like my mother. His eyes, instead of black, were a deep blue. Another glimmer to one side made me turn yet again. An emerald green cloth was blowing in a breeze I could not feel. The cloth wrapped around itself, exploding in a brilliant green flash. When the light dimmed Isaiah stood, dressed in white like my mother, and Malak. He had a bright smile on his face. The three stood, watching me, not making any move whatsoever. I turned away from Isaiah, expecting someone to appear behind me. Instead I saw the blurred figure of a woman. I could not make out her form, or anything about her, except that she was a woman. I walked closer, but no matter how far I walked, she stayed the same distance from me. Having my fantasy realm invaded wasn't what I wanted. I quickly cut the energy stream keeping this realm manifested, and returned to reality shortly. I re-entered my body with a force I had never felt, causing me to fall backwards. When I sat back up, I noticed Justin was still in another world. Judging by the smile on his face, he was enjoying it. I left him to his fantasies, and walked back to where everyone was beginning to stir. The fantasy realm is like dreaming. So much can happen in one second, therefore less than a minute had passed since I went into the darkness, as I called it. JC was the first to sit up. He seemed to be afraid, looking around frantically, at first, but calmed down as soon as he remembered where he was. He stood, and silently walked to where Vincent was sleeping. He bent down, reaching into Vincents pack, and pulling out the same outfit I was wearing. I was beginning to think someone had added a few things to our laundry at this point. He slipped behind the same rock I had earlier, and emerged a short while after. The long coat flapped in the wind like a black flag. He walked to where I was sitting, and sat on a rock nearby. "Good morning." I said, smiling. "Morning." He replied flatly. He didn't look as angry with me as he had before, but I knew he didn't fully trust me, yet. "Sleep well?" I was desperatly trying to make conversation. "There was a thorn, or something in the bedroll, but other than that I did." I smiled. "Yeah, those bedrolls aren't very trustworthy unless you make them yourself. The quality has decreased immensly." He raised an eyebrow. "I have to teach you some slang." I didn't know what he was talking about, but didn't want to seem dense. "Whatever you say." I replied, avoiding whatever he was talking about. He noticed Justin in his current state. "What happened to him?" I thought he would be rushing to his side, blaming me. "It's hard to explain, really. It's sort of a kind of day dreaming. He's in a fantasy realm. He'll be fine, and probably a little hyper when he gets out." He looked at me in amazement. "A little hyper? You've been with him since we got here, and you haven't noticed he's always a little hyper?" I nodded. "Yeah, but I thought it was just the way people from your world are. This little trip should make him a tad bit uncontrollable." JC shook his head in disbelief. "God, I hope not." Slowly, everyone woke up. We all gathered at the grouping of rocks. I finally offered JC some food, which he accepted rather quickly. Everyone ate, dreading what was to come, trying to keep their minds on other things by joking around. I thought someone was going to be knocked out from all the heads hitting rocks during the many wrestling matches that occured. I started worrying about Justin, wondering why he wasn't out yet, when I remembered something. "I forgot to tell him how to get out!" I exclaimed, running to Justin. I put my a hand on each of his temples, concentrating. I finally reached his mind, and told him how to get out of the fantasy realm. He snapped back to reality, and hugged me. "Thank you! Things were getting weird in there. I really wish you had told me how to get out earlier." I nodded, and frowned. "Sorry." I muttered, walking back to the group. Justin followed, continuing to tease me about my memory. We spent the rest of the morning joking around, trying to ease the tension in the air. "Hey, guys!" I had to yell over the noise. "We aren't all guys!" Screamed Gail. "Sorry! Anyway, last night I asked my mother for help. She said she had to talk to Isaiah, and I guess she'll give us her answer today. When she shows up, we need to be ready. Ask anything you need to ask now, and we'll try to answer as best we can." Chris was the first to speak. "Where are all these clothes coming from?" Everyone thought about it. "Beats me." Answered Vincent. "I guess that maid saw we didn't have much, and added a few things to our laundry. I don't remember packing any of it, though." We all settled on that conclusion, for the time being. Joey was next. "How many critters will there be in there?" A couple of us chuckled at his comment. "Only a few hundred. The biggest lair reported had two hundred and fifty vampires." The shocked look proved they had never seen actual vampires before. "Don't worry, they won't be as tough as the ones we fought yesterday. Most lairs consist of drones, and one master. The master will take a huge effort, but he usually sits high atop a balcony, laughing at any humans that fall victim to his' minions. When he does get involved, don't underestimate him." I was trying not to scare them, and answer truthfully at the same time. That was all they seemed to want to know about vampires, so I only had one thing left to say. "I heard that in your realm it's believed vampires must bite you, then feed you there blood for you to turn?" The outsiders nodded in agreement. "Thats a lie. Even a tiny scratch can cause you to turn, but it does take the taste of blood for you to lose all sense of humanity. There are shops owned by good natured vampires where warriors can go to be turned, and locked up for a few days until the primal urges subside. The result is super human strength, and semi-immortality." They all seemed satisfied, and a little more at ease. We sat around for a while longer, waiting for Celeste, or Isaiah to show up. Finally after an hour of waiting, Celeste floated down to earth, taking her human form. The green cloth I saw in my dream realm appeared, and wrapped around itself, doing exactly as it had in my world. Celeste hung her head, avoiding our gaze. Isaiah wore an impassive expression. "I am sorry, but we cannot help." Said Isaiah. "We vowed we wouldn't to the creator. Before time itself, we swore to him we would not physically involve ourselves, unless it was completely neccesary. All I can do is give you some helpful information. A small band of slayers is approaching your location. In half an hour they will pass this exact spot. They will be wary of you, but you must make them believe you are not undead. The potion you created is wearing off, so they won't have as hard a time beleiving you are alive. As soon as they come, you must attack. The lair is aware of you presence, and is waiting for you. Be careful. Remember; they are stronger in the shadows." With that, they vanished. We waited for half an hour, and saw two figures approaching. "This is a small band of slayers?" Asked JC. I nodded. "Slayers are powerful, and don't travel in large groups." The two slayers approached us, watching our every move. I extended my hand, and greeted them. They warily took each of our hands. We introduced ourselves, and explained the situation. They seemed to relax a little. "I'm Luke, and this is Alexander. He was injured in a lair, and can't speak." Luke was about 5'9'', with firey red hair. His brown eyes pierced into your soul like no others. His body was beatifully defined by the skin-tight black shirt he wore. They were both wearing exactly what we were. Our attire was more appropriate than I thought at first. Alexander was a little taller than me. I guessed 6'6''. His black hair reached beyond his shoulders, and seemed to be impervious to the wind. His eyes were as silent as his mouth. He hid his emotions well. His body was very well defined from fighting his entire life. He was more muscular, and looked more powerful than anyone else in our group. "Isaiah cautioned us not to hesitate. The lair knows we are here, and are preparing for our attack." Said Vincent. Luke cringed at the mention of Isaiah. "Isaiah, the emperor of the light? The one that died?" I shook my head. "He didn't die, he kept himself hidden." Luke accepted this explanation, but still seemed skeptical. "Well, are you all ready?" Asked Luke. We nodded, and turned toward the temple. "One more thing." Said Luke, walking beside our group. "If you turn out to be with them, we won't hesitate to kill you. If you're turned, get out of there, or you will be killed. Those are our only rules." They began walking ahead of us. Alexander's hair still not moving with the wind. I leaned toward Justin. "Don't exhuast yourself this time. We'll all probably be too busy to help if you do. When you just start learning your gift, your energy is used excessivley. Try to control it. Also, if you feel your ultimate form trying to push it's way out, stop it, or you could destroy us all." He looked shocked at this revelation. We approached the temple, and saw two guards run inside. We knew it was probably total darkness inside, and decided Gail should cast a light spell as soon as we entered. We stood at the gates, examining them. Gail was preparing to cast the spell, as Luke opened the gates. We walked in cautiously. Gail let the energy flow, and a burst of light spread inside, glimmering brightly. Vampires lined each wall. The master sat on a throne high above our heads. We readied ourselves for the attack, but none of them made a move. The master stood. "Humans, join us and you shall be spared. Fight us and you shall perish. Decide quickly, we haven't much time. I am Cronos. I control time. There is no possible way you can defeat me. Submit." He sat, waiting for our answer. Luke stepped forward. "Cronos, you say? So this is where you've been hiding? I knew you couldn't resist the urges, brother! I will slay you!" Cronos stood abruptly, glaring at Luke. "Luke! How dare you invade my domain! You could not defeat me in life, and now in death I will kill you!" He motioned toward us, and his minions attacked. ******************* The undead were coming in waves. The onslaught of death was barely being held back by our small party. Justin had transfomred into a lion. He was slashing at the throats of the creatures, causing heads to fly everywhere. JC was melting through the chests, destroying the hearts on contact. Lance had given up on his spear, and was now preparing a punishment. He had learned the smallest heavenly punishment, one he did not have to endure. Joey, and Chris were protecting him. Joey had taken the form of the titan, crushing the monsters as they advanced. A huge pile of blood, flesh, and bone was forming uner his massive feet. Chris had once again taken the form of the djinn. He was launching blades of ice at the army of undead, slowing them down. The blood of the creatures stained the walls of the temple. Vincent was slicing the bodies in halves with a sword of fire. He had created a wall of body halves. Gail was using her strength, tearing the limbs from the bodies like flowers from a dogwood tree. Anthony was using his strength on the few that advanced on him, throwing them into walls, breaking there bodies like glass. I spread my wings in their entirety. Instead of the ten foot demonic wingspan I once had, I had changed into my true form. The fallen angel was not a sight for the weak hearted. Black horns extended from my head, curling on the sides of my head. My hands had twisted into seven inch claws. My skin turned into that of a dragon. The color seemed to shift from red to black. I swooped towards groups of vampires, reaching into their chests, and tearing out their hearts. I crushed the still beating hearts with my huge claws. I rained blood down to the hordes of creatures below. Luke was fighting through the crowds of creatures ferociously. His red hair was blazing, scorching any vampire that touched it. He was slashing at the vampires with a cutlass, coated in silver. A red gem protruded from the handle. The gem was glowing brightly with ever swing that hit flesh. Alexander hadn't moved from his original posistion. He seemed to be waiting for the monstrocities to advance on him, but they did not go withing at least twenty feet of him. We had thinned the crowd greatly, but there were still at least one hundred. The bodies continued to pile up, Alexander continued to stay completely still. A vampire finally gathered the courage to advance on him, cautiously. The monster swung at him with a spiked mace. Alexander jumped into the air, over the vampire's head. His back exploded into wings like mine. His face twisted, and every tooth in his mouth sharpened into razor like fangs. His eyes began glowing bright green. His wing span was at least twent five feet from each shoulder. He opened his huge jaws, and devoured the monster. He turned towards, and flew at me. He stopped suddenly, silently communicating with his eyes. Suddenly his eyes weren't silent. He was telling me to follow him to the celieng, to help with the punishment. We flew to the highest point in the temple. All of the vampires stopped suddenly, realizing what was to come. Our comrades did as well, as they scattered to the edges of the room. Lance continued summoning the punishment. The vampires looked on in horror, knowing they couldn't escape. Alexander, and I joined hands at the ceileng. Lance suddenly looked up, and shot towards the cirle we had created with our bodies. He hovered in that circle, his eyes closed. He was chanting incoherently. Suddenly there was a bright flash, as a bolt of lightning struck our bodies. It filled out bodies with electricity. The sizzling crackle boomed through the temple, shaking the very foundations of the realm. A huge, white bolt of lightning flew toward the floor, striking the white marble with a severe intensity. It spread across the floor, destroying any vampire it touched. The white explosion of electricity spread through the bodies, frying the hearts themselves, causing their bodies to implode, sending body parts flying in ever direction. A heavenly light spread through Lances body, flowing slowly to the broken bodies below. It flooded the room, ridding it of the stench of death. The bodies vanished, the souls trapped within the black hearts flooding into us. We slowly glided to the ground, changing back into our semi-himan forms. Lance was exhausted, the brightness of his wings began to dim. Alexander, and I carried him tot he gate, and laid him in the sunlight flowing through the open iron. Luke stepped into the center of the room. "Everyone get back. This is my fight." ***************************************************************************** How was that?
