Last note: I hope you enjoy it better than I did :-S ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Fool Part 14 - The Last One By Pris G ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lance was slowly packing his stuff, making sure he didn't forget anything, when he heard a knock on the door to his room, "I'm coming!" he said loudly as he made his way to the door, staring wide-eyed at the person on the other side when he opened the door and saw who it was. "Hi..." "C? What- Aren't you supposed to be in New York or something?" Lance asked, trying to stop his hands from shaking so much as he walked back to the bed where his suitcase rested open. He heard the door being closed and then JC was right beside him and he felt frozen. "I kind of forgot something here though..." JC said vaguely as he turned Lance around and kissed him. Lance moaned and nearly melted when he felt JC's arm go around his waist, pulling their bodies closer. No! He couldn't! JC loved Justin! "No! Josh, stop..." Lance said, hating the whining in his voice, "We both know I love you and kissing you is great and all but I'm not going to let you walk all over my feelings like this-" "Lance..." "-you love Justin and I know you kissed me just because you were lonely-" "Lance..." "-but I'm not going to let you use me again, let go, Josh..." "Lance!" "What?" Lance asked, his voice breathy and shaky, his whole body tense and he wouldn't look at JC's face. "Look at me." "Let go, Josh, please!" He really didn't want to start crying but if JC didn't let him go he wouldn't have another alternative. "Look at me," JC said softly and Lance finally looked up into his eyes. JC hated that he had been the one to make Lance feel like this but he'd make it right, "I love you." "No! No, you love Justin!" Lance exclaimed as he was finally able to push JC away, "You love Justin!" He paced angrily before turning with angry green eyes to JC, "I don't want your pity!" "Lance..." "No! I'm not letting you do that to me! I love you, yes, but that doesn't mean you can just walk in and say that and expect me to just fall for it! You kissed me because you were lonely, you didn't kiss me because you wanted to kiss me! That's not love, that's rebound! You can't have Justin so you turn to me because I love you anyway, right?" "That's not it at all! Yes, I kissed you yesterday because I was lonely and I wanted to feel better! I'm not proud of it and I'm sorry!" JC said desperately, "I'm not sorry that I kissed you, I'm sorry it was for the wrong reason. I'm sorry that I was too slow to realize that somewhere along the way I fell in love with you and it took hurting you to make me see that I wanted to be with you. I had to do something stupid to realize that I had been so wrapped up in feeling sorry for myself because of a love I couldn't have that I didn't notice that my feelings for you had changed." "You're saying you're not in love with Justin anymore?" Lance asked softly as tears ran down his cheeks. Was he really hearing what he had dreamed of hearing for years now? "I still love Justin but I'm not in love with him anymore, not the way I used to anyway. And I want to give myself another chance because I'm tired of sacrificing myself and my feelings. For once I want to be selfish and feel loved back. Please give me a chance..." JC finished in a whisper and for a while the only sound in the room was their laboured breathing. "So, you're not doing this because you can't have Justin and I'm the next best thing?" "No. I'm here because I want to be with you. Period. I'm not here until Justin is available. I'm not here because of him, I'm here because of you and because of me." "Oh God..." Lance closed his eyes and put his hands on his head. It was overwhelming to finally be able to do what he had been wanting to do for years. Years of wanting JC to say all the things he'd just said, years of wanting something he'd never have. And now it was being given to him. "I was a fool, Lance. Please, give me a chance. Please, give us a chance," JC whispered and when had JC gotten this close? Lance looked up and for the first time he actually saw it there. Something he'd never thought he'd see. JC's eyes filled with love. For him. "Yes..." Lance smiled up at JC, who took Lance's hand and kissed the palm, "Yes..." THE END See? It sucks but it's finished! The first slash series I'm actually able to finish! Yay me! :D
