In Search of Love: Chapter 3 by: Sarah After he turned the water off, Justin opened the shower door, stepped onto the soft rug, and slammed the door closed behing him. He dried off with a large towel, wrapped it around his waist, and walked into the joining bedroom. 'What to wear, what to wear?' He stepped into the walk-in closet. Justin sorted through a few hanging shirts, and eventually decided on a button up shirt in a dark green shade. 'Perfect color. Not that clothes will matter very much when I get there.' He slipped the shirt on gently, and pulled on a pair of khakis. He quickly put on socks and his brown Doc Martens, then made his way back to the bathroom. He glanced in the mirror, and the image was almost frightening. His still-wet hair was sticking out in every direction, making him look ridiculous. Justin pulled out the blow dryer from the bottom cabinet, and started to dry his hair. After a couple of minutes, it was dry enough, and he put up the dryer. Next was the hard part. He picked up the hair gel on the counter, and started his attempt to tame the wild beast. After twenty minutes it looked a lot better, somewhat. He spritzed on a little Eddie Bauer cologne, walked to the kitchen, grabbed his keys and wallet, and was out the door. Once he got down the driveway in his BMW, it was a 15 minute drive to the other man's house. Since it was 9:00 PM on a Monday, the traffic wasn't incredibly bad. He eventually pulled up to the brick fence with an iron gate. He typed the code into the keypad. The gate slowly opened, and he pulled into the wide driveway. Justin turned off his car engine, and just sat there for a while. Just sat and thought. He looked up at the large home that his friend owned. All the blinds were shut, the curtains already pulled. 'Just like him, too. Shut the blinds as soon as the sun goes down.' After a few minutes, Justin opened the car door, and got out. He strolled to the doorstep, and knocked solidly three times. No answer. He knocked a few more times. No answer. 'Damn house is so big, he can't even hear when someone's knocking on his door.' So, he rang the doorbell, and about 20 seconds later, the door opened, and there he was. JC smiled at him, and for a brief instant, Justin couldn't breathe. The older man also looked freshly showered. His hair was still a little damp, and he was dressed in a gray tank top and black wind pants. "So, you gonna come in, Just?" Justin looked up, and noticed that he had stepped back from the door, gesturing for the young blond to come in. He looked embarrassed for a second, and then stepped through the door. JC closed it behind him, and turned to look at Justin. The boy looked sad and distant. His eyes were glassy, his jaw was set, his shoulders slumped, and the look on his face was utterly lost and miserable. It had been a long time since JC had seen his young friend this upset. It broke his heart to think that Justin was hurting this much, and he didn't even know what was causing it. The older man made his way towards the blond, and wrapped his strong arms around him. At first, the younger boy tried to push him away gently, but JC didn't let up on his grip. Justin relaxed his muscles, and hugged him back. It seemed as if they stood there forever before anyone spoke. "What's wrong, J?" His voice was soothing, like he was trying to comfort a small child. He lead the boy to the couch and sat him down. "Everything." Justin's voice was soft, and JC barely heard him. "I'm just confused about some things, that's all." His words made it sound like it was no big deal, but his tone suggested otherwise. "What has you confused?" JC didn't want to push him, but he couldn't help if he didn't know what all of this was about. But maybe Justin didn't want help. "I don't wanna talk about it," he answered quietly. His voice cracked a little and he sounded close to tears, so the other man decided to let it go. "It's ok, Just. You don't have to tell me. I wish you would so I could help, but we don't have to talk if you don't want to." He leaned forward, and softly touched his lips to Justin's temple. "So, what do you wanna do?" JC let out a small laugh. Justin's voice was lighter, happier. His smile was playful. Such a dramatic change from 30 seconds ago. The dark haired man leaned back against the arm of the couch, pulling the youngster back into his arms, and stretching out his legs. Justin laid his head against JC's chest and closed his eyes. "You wanna lay here?" The boy's voice was slightly confused but relaxed. "Yea, just let me hold you for awhile." JC's eyes closed too. And for the time being, Justin could pretend that he really did have the perfect life with the perfect man. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ End of Chapter 3 Ok, that was kinda short, and kinda slow moving. But I do have another part that I already started to write. So, if I get FEEDBACK, I might finish it and send it out. You never know, I might get into the NC-17 stuff in the next part. Good? Bad? Ok? Boring? LET ME KNOW!!! Sarah96_1999@yahoo.com
