Now without further adue, on to the story. **************************************************************************** Jason and JC were cruising down the highway heading toward metro Atlanta. The top was down and the radio was blaring. They were so so involved in the music and the ride that Jason didn't his speed until he saw the flashing blue lights pop up behind him. "Great!" he exclaimed as he noticed the police car behind him. "What's the matter?" JC asked, not seeing the car behind them. Jason waved his hand toward the back window. JC turned around and saw the cop car pull up behind them as Jaosn eased to a stop on the shoulder of the road. "What did you do?" JC joked. Jason shot him a look and stuck his tounge out at him. He quickly removed his hat and sunglasses and awaited the officer's approach. His blond hair glowed in the bright sun and his blue eyes sparkled like crystal clear ice. A female police officer stepped out of the car and cautiously began to approach Jason's car. She had her ticket book in hand and was preparing to write the citation. "Yes, ma'am?" Jason asked the officer as she approached the driver side door. As he said this, he stared her straight in the eyes with the largest, most-innocent looking, eyes you have ever seen. The police officer taken back a little by the driver's politeness and demeanor, unintentionally pause a brief moment. After a second or two, she began to speak. "Can I see you license and insurance, sir." "Yes, ma'am." Jason repied as he picked up his wallet he had set on the dash. He flipped it open and removed his driver's license. Then he reached up to his sunvisor and removed his insurance card. "Here you go, ma'am." The officer took the card and gave it a quick look over. "Jason, are you aware that you were traveling 89 miles per hour? Highway traffic is limited 65." Jason just looked at her as his eyes widened. "I'm sorry. I didn't realize." His eyes eminated his shock. He honsetly didn't realize he had been travelling that fast. "My friend and I were just heading to Chicago's to get a pizza, and I guess I just didn't notice it. I apologize." "Well..." the officer responded slowly. "Since your from this area, I'm going to let you slide. But slow it down, OK." "Yes, ma'am. I appreciate that." Jason said as he began to grin. He did not need a ticket. He took his license and insurance back from the officer as she handed it to him. "Again, I apologize." "Well, just watch your speed, because if i catch you doing it again, I'll get you double." the officer joked as she headed back to her car. "I would expect nothing less." Jason returned. 'Whew' he thought. He was so happy that she had let him slide. He was still grinning as he pulled back onto the highway. As he replaced his hat and shades, JC just burst out laughing. Jason had almost forgotten he was there, because he had been so quiet. "What is the matter with you?" Jason asked him, wondering what was so funny. "Man, you are so guilty!" JC exclaimed trying to control his laughter. "Guilty! Of what?" Jason asked confused. "Come on man, you flirted your way out of that ticket. You manipulated that cop man." "I did not." Jason said defensively. "I'm sorry officer, I didn't realize I was speeding. I'm so sorry, I'll never do it again." JC said making puppy dog eyes and doing his best to imitate Jason's boyish, innocent tone. "Man, you weasled your way out of that one." "Oh my god, I did didn't I. I'm terrible." Jason said realizing what he had done. "Hey, don't sweat it. If you got it..." JC jested. "Besides you really didn't want a ticket did you?" JC was right, he didn't want a ticket, but he didn't intend to get out of it like that either. Now JC had set his conscience off. He started to ponder on it as they rode along. As they pulled off of the highway, Jason decided to just forget about it, there wasn't a thing in the world he could do about it. Soon after, they reached Chicago's, home of the best homemade pizzas in the country. They went in and sat down at a booth in the corner. Jason removed his hat and glasses as he sat down and picked up a menu. JC sat down opposite of him, but decided to leave his glasses and cap on. They ordered a large pizza to share between the two of them and began chatting as they waited for their order. They told jokes and laughed and shared more stories. Jason looked around as he listened to JC and noticed a jukebox at the front of the resturaunt. "I'll be right back." he told JC as he got up and headed up front. He popped a few quarters in, made his selection and returned to his seat. "What'd you pick?" JC asked curiously. "You shall see." was Jason's response. Soon after, the familiar tune came flowing out of the speakers. It was Bye Bye Bye, now of the most popular songs in the world. "Aw man, I sound terrible in this song." JC muttered under his breath. "You do not. You sound great." Jason responded supportively, and he meant it. JC voice always sounded great to him. They all did. As he finished his sentence, the waitress brought there pizza to the table. It was huge. "Man, there is no way that I'm going to be able to eat all this." Jason exclaimed. He had forgotten how oversized their pizzas were. "Me neither. Whatever we don't eat, we can get to go." JC suggested as he picked up a slice of the gigantic pizza. They did little talking as they ate. Jason watched JC as they ate. He watched JC stuggle as he tried to fit the large slice into his mouth. As he watched, his mind wandered to thoughts of JC's beauty. He was a very good looking guy, pretty cute actually. 'WHOA!' his mind exclaimed as he realized what he was thinking. He quickly divirted his eyes from JC, trying to push those thoughts from his mind. JC was his friend. He could still find a friend good looking though. "Mmm, I'm full. How about you?" Jason said, trying to spice up some conversation to divert his mind from its previous wanderings "I was full a piece or two ago." JC joked. Jason called to the waitress for a to-go box. "Maybe your friends would like some of this as a pre-show snack. Otherwise it will make a good dinner." The waitress brought them a to-go box and laid the check on the table. Jason quickly snatched up the bill. There wasn't anyway he was going to let JC pay. He was in his city, he was his guest. "I don't think so man." JC informed him as he pulled out his wallet. "My treat." As soon as JC had brought his wallet into view, Jason made his move. With one swift motion, he quickly removed JC's wallet from his hands. "Hey!" he exclaimed reaching out for his wallet. Jason placed it into his back pocket as he removed his own wallet. "No, my treat. You are my guest here." Jason told him. He wasn't going to accept anything but "OK" from JC. JC just sat back and sighed as he smiled. He had no choice to agree, he didn't have any money on him except in his wallet. "You are shrewd, you know that." JC joked as he placed the extra pizza in the box. "You bet, and then some." Jason returned playing along. He got up from the table as JC closed up the carry out box and headed toward the front. JC picked up the box and trotted behind. By the time JC caught up to Jason, he had already paid the cashier and was heading out the door. "Dude, wait up." Jason paused momentarily hearing this to put on his cap and shades and let JC catch up. "What time is it anyway?" Jason looked down at his watch. "A little after 3:30." he replied. "Oh man! I've got to be at rehearsals at four." JC exclaimed. "Don't worry, I'll get you there on time. I promise." Jason assured him as he reached the car. He hoped over the door and into the driver's seat. "Come on, hop in. We've got twenty minutes. I think that I can get you there." Jason grinned. JC swung open the door and slid into his seat. "Well then let's go. Try not to get pulled over this time." he said as he placed the pizza box in the back seat. And with that, they sped off toward the amphitheater. To be continued... **************************************************************************** Well that's it for now. I hope you enjoyed it. Next time, Jason meets up with all of 'N Sync which will lead to some interesting discoveries about the group. So stay tuned.
