Date: Fri, 02 Jul 1999 00:29:20 CDT From: Jason Randall Subject: JC and Jas Disclaimer: I am not assuming anything about the lives of anyone in this story. Many may wish things to be true, but who knows so don't be offended, just enjoy. If you're UNDER 18, stop reading this, and all that other legal stuff. This is my first attempt, and I know this story lacks sexual adventures, give it time, I want them to get to know eachother first, okay? "So where'd JC and Jason go?" Lance asked Justin as they took a breather at a table. "Oh, they headed out to get some dinner cuz neither of them ate beforehand." "Ah, so are they, um, coming back afterwards?" "Nah, I think they were going back to the hotel to watch movies or something." "Oh. You know what? I'm getting kinda tired. I think I may just take the jeep and then have a limo come back for you guys." Justin was only half paying attention by this time since he was reading to start dancing again, and saw a really pretty girl he felt like dancing with. "Alright Scoop, just make sure the limo comes back for us," he said as he made his way back to the floor, heading right for the girl. Lance sighed and got into the jeep. He started driving himself back to the hotel, holding back sobs. "Why can't you just love me JC? If only you'd see how perfect I'd treat you." In Jason's car: `Ok JC, you can do this. "Jason, I'm gay." See? It's not too hard. Alright, it's almost time. Just keep breathing, that's it. Nothing to worry about. Ok, we're here, it's show time.' Jason parked the car and turned to face JC. "So what's up JC?" "Um, well ya know how earlier when you were telling me about Alex and everything and I was glad you were honest with me?" "Yeah?" "Well, I haven't really been honest with you." "How so?" "Well, I haven't lied. I just haven't told ya something really important about myself." Jason grabbed JC's hand as he realized he was really struggling. "Hey, man, it's no big deal. I mean, I told you I was gay and you didn't care, so whatever this is, I highly doubt I can hold it against you." Jason said, laughing slightly to lighten the mood. "Oh, yeah, well, the thing I needed to tell you was. Was. I. I'm. I'm in a band." It was the first thing he could think of. He didn't even realize he'd chickened out until Jason just started smiling. `God, what did I just say?' "JC, is this really what's been troubling you? Who cares? I mean, that's cool and all, but it's not a big deal if ya didn't want to tell me. What are you, really famous or something?" "Um, yeah kinda." `God I'm an idiot.' "So what are you called?" "Um, well it's me and all four of the other guys. We're called N'Sync." `JC you chicken. Why can't you just tell him?' "Oh cool, so you guys get to hang out a lot together, huh? That's great. So `in sync', huh? What is that? Rap?" "Um, no. Kinda like the new pop sound." `Does he hate me? I can't tell. He seems to find this amusing.' "Ah, so you're one of them huh?" Jason said, laughing. "One of who?" `Oh no, he does hate me. I should have never kept this from him. God, what are you talking about? This is nothing compared to what you brought him here to say.' "One of those groups of guys that takes all the females from 12-25 and warps their minds into thinking you're the most gorgeous creatures on earth, huh?" Jason said, laughing really hard now. "Well we don't mean for them to like us so much, but they pay the bills." JC said, suddenly defensive. `Why does he care if the girls are after us?' "Oh, man, I'm sorry, I didn't mean it that way. That's cool. I've just never been into that kinda music is all. So are you guys one of the really big ones. What's that big group called? Breakstreet Boys or something?" "Backstreet. Backstreet Boys. Yeah, we're kinda big like them." JC replied. "Cool, that must be why you're in town, huh? Well then, you better invite me to your concert!" `God, what'd I just say? I'm going to a pop concert? Well he is incredibly sexy, can you imagine him working up a sweat like those bands are known to do? Whoa, slow down, this is your F-R-I-E- N-D, though it doesn't hurt to fantasize.besides, if he's surrounded by all these girls he won't even be paying enough attention to you to notice if you threw yourself at him.' The thought of JC with a bunch of girls made him sad and Jason frowned. "Jason?" "Huh? What? Sorry, drifted off for a second." "No problem. I just said of course you're invited. Um, now that I've, um, shared my secret, you wanna go watch some movies or something at the hotel?" `There ya go, just get him in the privacy of your room. You can tell him then. Alright, now you're back on track.' `Oh great, he wants to go home. Well, he DID invite you with. Oh stop it, he was just being nice. He probably wants someone to keep him company and the guys are still clubbing. He's like that. I mean, the guy just made you have a "serious" talk because he was in a band. Who cared?' "Sounds great. Say JC, can I ask ya something?" "Sure thing." "Why did you want to be somewhere private to tell me that?" "Oh, well I didn't know if you'd be mad that we kept that from you, and I didn't want you to make a scene in case someone recognized us." `Good save!' "Ah, alright, let's go!" Back at the hotel: Lance wandered around the lobby for a while, but once five teenage girls came screaming after him for autographs he figured he better get up to his room. He usually didn't mind the fans, it was fun, but he wasn't in the mood tonight. As he put the key card into his door, he saw JC heading into his room after Jason. `Now's your chance. Go spend sometime with JC while Justin's not around!' "Hey JC!" "Oh, hey Scoop, what you doing back so soon?" "Oh, I was sick of the club scene. What's going on?" "Oh nothing at all." "Oh, so, ya guys wanna hang out in my room a while?" "Nah, I'm kinda tired. Think I'm gonna kick Jason out in a bit and go to bed, he just wanted to see my room." "Oh, ok, see you in the morning at breakfast then?" "Sure thing." JC finished going into his room. "What was that all about?" Jason asked as he looked up from where he'd flopped down on the couch. "Oh, Scoop was just headin in to bed, so I was saying good night." "Oh cool, so what movie are we renting?" "What's playing on the previews?" "Oh look! Cruel Intentions! I love that movie. Let's get it!" Jason said, really excited. "Me too. Let's go for it." JC said, already calling down and ordering the movie. When JC got done he went over and sat next to Jason on the couch rather then by himself in the chair. `After the movie. You have to tell him after. Til then just enjoy sitting next to him.' `OhmiGod, he's sitting right next to me.Well he probably wanted the better seat. If he sat in the chair he'd be at an angle. But still, he could have wanted to sit next you.yeah right.well who says you want him to sit next to you?' As the movie went on, all of Jason's confused thoughts wore him out and he slowly fell asleep, ending up on JC's shoulder. `Wow, he's asleep on my shoulder! Careful not to wake him.' As the movie ended, JC slowly lifted Jason up and placed him in his bed, pulling the covers up on him. "I think I love you," JC slowly whispered as he kissed him on the forehead. Back in Lance's room: As Lance slowly cried himself to sleep he slipped into a nightmare. "JC, I, um, I'm gay.and well, I think I love you." Lance said very quickly. "You're WHAT?" "I'm in love with you JC, I just can't help myself." "You're a fag? How can you say that? I trusted you, I treated you as my brother and you turned into a fag???" JC was yelling now and he had gotten the attention of the other guys. "Who's a fag?" Chris asked, coming into the room. "This little queer here just said he loved me. Can you believe it?" "No, JC, how can you do this to me?" Lance said, shaking uncontrollably with tears streaming his face. "Do what to you, you fairy? You're the one who just told ME that you're a queer!" Chris started laughing and pointing his finger at Lance. "You little freak. Why would you think he'd be in love with you? You're sick. Get out of here, we don't want fags in our group." Lance awoke with a start, crying out. As he looked over to be comforted, he realized no one was there and just started crying harder as he fell back asleep. Back in JC's room: `What was that? It sounded like someone crying? Oh well, it must not have been anything.' JC rationalized as he curled back up into his spot on the couch, falling back into sleep. In the hallway: `God it's been a long night. All I want is a shower, and to slip into.' "What was that?" Justin spoke out loud and to himself. `Sounded like it came from Lance's room, go check on him.' As Justin knocked softly on Lance's door he could here muffled sobs coming from inside. Not realizing Lance was crying in his sleep, he started to knock harder. "Scoop? C'mon, it's me, open up! What's wrong, buddy?" Suddenly Justin thought about Lance's behavior changes over the past two weeks. His weird questions, always going home early. `God, I'm so stupid, one of my best friends and I didn't even realize he's been totally depressed!' "Lance? Just open the door, I wanna talk to you? Please? You know, if you don't answer I'm just going to go get a room key?" Still without an answer, Justin went down and got the room key with barely no problems. He just had to give two autographs and backstage passes to the overnight desk clerk. "Lance? I'm coming in now." Justin said, opening the door. As Justin walked in he noticed Lance sobbing on his bed, but also saw his eyes shut and heard his low breathing. `Wow, he's crying out that loud in his sleep. Poor Scoop.' "Oh Lance, I'm so sorry I didn't realize you were this upset!" Justin whispered softly in Lance's ear as he got into bed beside him. Justin wrapped his arms around Lance as best he could without waking him, and Lance responded by grabbing onto Justin as tightly as possible and settling down. `Good, he seems better now.' Justin thought as he gently stroked his hand through Lance's hair. As Justin laid his head back, he slowly started to feel the tiredness he had before he'd heard Lance's cry, and soon, he was sound asleep. To Be Continued. Send comments to jas_stories@hotmail.com.
