Date: Sun, 14 May 2000 00:29:21 GMT From: Jason Subject: Justin and Jason-21 Justin and Jason -21 This is fiction and not meant to mean anything about anyone in the story. If you are too young or offended by this stuff please beat it. The plane took off and I was pretty happy to be free and to do what I wanted to do again. At that time all I wanted to do was to see Justin. I started to think about the way he stopped seeing me and even stopped writing. I kept think about it over and over in my head. I thought about it until I dozed off and was awakened by one of the airplane attendants. I departed the plane and found myself in the airport. I saw a guy standing in the corner with a trench coat on. I walked up to him and gave him about $50 bucks and he looked puzzled at first. I motioned for him to open his coat. He complied and I picked out a little tool kit I saw out of all the little items he had stuff in there. I examined it and told him to keep the change. I continued to walk through the terminal and I heard someone call my name. "Mr. Baker?" he asked. "How did you know my name?" I asked him. "Troy. He asked me to meet you here. He said to look for a guy with read hair, good bit of muscle and slightly smaller than the statue of liberty." He said extending his hand. "I'm Ryan." "Cool, you can call me Jason," I said shaking his hand. " So you were here to find me, you found. Now What?" "Follow me," He said walking through the terminal and outside. He walked up to a pitch black, four doors, Lexus. He opened the driver door and climbed in. I walked over to the side door and climbed up front. "What time is it, it's look's pretty late." I asked observing the darkness for the first time. "It's about ten." He answered looking at the clock in his car. "We should get to your house in about an hour." The rest of the drive pretty quiet, he listened to his music on the radio and I looked out the window. We finally reached the house and he pulled up to the door. He asked of there was anything he could help me with. I told him thanks for the offer, but no. I walked up to the door and tried my key that Troy gave me, for some reason it didn't work. I knocked and there wasn't any answer. I examined the door and pulled out the little tool kit I purchased at the airport and opened it. I slipped a strip of aluminum between the door and the door jam, so the alarm wouldn't go off. I took out a few tools and inserted them into the key lock and picked the lock of my own front door. Once I was inside I bunched in my alarm code and of course it came back invalid. So I stood there for a few minutes thinking and finally punched in another code. I figured that Justin would have it easy to remember, so I punched in the nsync and it worked. I continued into the living room. I sat in an easy chair next to a lamp stand and sat down. I pulled out my cigarettes and decided I needed an ashtray. I walked into the kitchen and grabbed one of the coffee cups. I sat back down, the lights were still off, and waited. I was gonna wait for Justin. I didn't know why he had the locks changed, or my security code erased form the alarm system. I didn't want to attract attention by turning on the lights. So I waited in the dark trying to figure what would happened. I heard footsteps up to the front door and looked at the clock. It was midnight, this was gonna be interesting. The door opened and Justin walked in. He walked through the door in another mans arms. I wasn't to surprised, I figured in might be something like this. I blew a bunch of smoke into the air and I was just like blowing a bugle. They both stopped making out in the walkway and looked right at me. I turned on the lamp and Justin damn near fainted. I could tell he was surprised as all hell. "Jason, what are you doing out?" Justin asked. "Who the hell are you and how did you get in here?" Justin's companion asked very angrily. "Justin, how ya doin'?" I asked looking at him. I stood up and walked over towards him. I was about three feet away and stopped. I looked over to his friend and examined him. "Keeping busy I see." "I'm calling the cops," he said. "No, No don't. Dave, this is Jason. He used to be my boyfriend." Justin said looking at the ground. "That still doesn't give him the right to break in.," he yelled. "He used to live here. Remember the time those three guys showed up to get a bunch of stuff that was stored in the garage, and that truck that was in the garage. They were his brothers." Justin said to his friend. "Justin, what's with the locks, not to mention taking my code out of the alarm." I asked. "Could I speak to you in the kitchen?" Justin asked. "Lead the way," said following him to the kitchen. He entered the kitchen and I ran water over my cigarette to put it out and threw it in the trash. "Alright Justin, what's with that turkey in there?" I asked leaning against the counter. "He's my new boyfriend," Justin said looking at the floor and then slowly up to me. "Justin let me tell you something. Being in jail, I have seen many different types of people. I have learned to be a fairly good judge of character. When I look at you, I see an innocent, caring, loving guy that doesn't know what he's getting into. When I look at lover boy out there, I see a player. A guy that only wants you for your body and because you're a celebrity. They only reason he is with you is because you famous and really handsome. That it, there isn't any reason other than that." I said now leaning on the table in front of him. "You're just jealous, that I am with Dave now." He said looking at me. "That is one thing I learned in prison, never get jealous. There was one guy that was jealous of this other guys little bitch. It got him killed." I said looking at Justin seriously. "Well I love Dave now and I want you out. Your brothers took you stuff up to their place, all of it. Truck and all. I bought your half of the car and house. You are trespassing." He said looking at me. "Like Justin said, leave." Dave said standing at the kitchen doorway. I looked at Justin and knew he had made up his mind, so I stood upright and walked over to the door and knocked into Dave. Not in an aggressive manner by any means. He was taking up more than half of the doorway and our shoulders hit together. I slide by him and walked out the front door. Once on the doorstep I took his wallet and his watch out of my pocket and examined him. 'I learned a few things in prison after all' I said to myself walking across the street to JC's house. I knocked on the door and when he opened the door, he dropped his glass. "Jas, what are you doing here?" he asked. He stepped out of his house and gave me a great big hug. "Man it is good to see you." "Hey JC, how have you been." I asked entering his house. "Good, Good. Have you been to you house yet?" He asked. "I was there before Justin and Dave where." I said. "Man, I'm so sorry Jas." He said. "It's ok, shit happens." I said, " I figure as much when nobody came to see me anymore." "Sorry about that too. Lance and I wanted to go see ya, but Justin wouldn't here of it. He said that if we went up, he would have to. It was bullshit, but hey what can ya do." He said handing me a beer from the fridge. Just before he gave it to me, he looked at me. " "Twenty-one right." He asked looking at me. "Just turned twenty-one. I had my twentieth birthday right after I went into prison and another one here a couple weeks ago." I said taking the beer. "So now you can drink," He said. "Legally anyway." I said smiling. JC laughed and told me to kick my shoes off and I could crash on his couch. Ten minutes after walking through JC's front door I was lying on his couch trying to sleep. I kept thinking of what to do next, but finally fell asleep. I woke up the next day and noticed it was still early. I got up and put my shoes back on and wrote JC a note thanking him and left him some of Dave's money from his wallet, called a cab and was out the door. I went to the airport and got a flight to Pittsburgh and put it on Dave's credit card. I noticed the guy in the corner again and walked up to him and sold him Dave's fancy watch. He thanked me and I thanked him. I had an hour to go before the flight so I found on of the nicest places to eat in the airport terminal and asked if the accepted credit cards. They did, so I had myself a huge breakfast. Let me tell you all something. Dave is a really nice guy. He paid JC for letting me stay on his couch, paid for the cab ride, paid for my flight and my breakfast. He didn't know it, but we won't go there. I finished my breakfast just as they were calling my flight. Of course Dave would want me going in style, so I was going first class. We landed at the airport and I climbed off the plane and walked through the terminal. I asked if there were any flights to Erie PA. I found one again and used good old Dave's credit card. I boarded another plane and in about a half-hour, I was in Erie Pa. I used Dave's credit card at an ATM and took out a good bit of cash and had a cab take me about forty miles south-east to a little town grew up in. I had him drop me off at a computer store. My dad started the computer store and my brothers Ben and Jerry were seeing after it now. I walked in and Jerry came up and had to take a second look. "Jason?" He asked. "Hey Ben!" "What?" Ben asked walking out front. He looked at Jerry and then at me and smiled. "Jason!" They walked up to me and he shook hands and caught up on old times. Jerry called my brother John and told him I was in town and he drove up to the store in his full-size dodge contracting truck. "Jason!" John yelled as he hugged me. I returned his hug and the four of us talked for almost all afternoon. My three brothers had done really well. Ben and Jerry had taken over the store after our dad was killed and made it into a bigger success than it already was. John had gotten into contracting and was doing great. If you wanted him to do something for you, you had to give him notice a year in advance. The four of us went out and partied all night to celebrate my coming home. I told them all about Justin and Dave, and about how I had applied what I had learned in prison to get his wallet and watch and get home. I excused myself and went over to a pay phone. After about five minutes I returned. "What was all that about," John asked. "Well, Dave paid my way back up here, so I figured the least I could do was send him and Justin flowers thanking them," I said taking another sip of my drink. They all thought that was funnier than hell. I was in town for about a month when another friend of mine came to see me. Cliff and I had gone through high school together and had been friends since the first grade. He asked me if I would consider going in with him on an arcade for teenagers. "What do you say, Jason." Cliff asked. "I don't know Cliff. I guess it wouldn't be too bad. How much do you need." I asked. "Half of the expenses." He answered. "What the hell. Let's go look for locations and see what we got. Then see what the bank has to say." I replied getting my shoes on. Cliff and I had found a place almost the center of town. The bank was a little cautious giving us the money. Cliff put his Chevy caviler and I put my Ford truck as collateral so we could get the money. We hired a few teenagers to clean the place a do little shit like that. It was hard finding enough pool tables and air hockey tables. Opening night came around and we were packed full. We started to get a few video games around for the kids and anything they might like. After about a month we built in a stage for live entertainment. Any local bands that wanted to play there were more than welcome. After a little while it got kinda rowdy and we hired a few bouncers. Overall, it was a big success. After doing so good with the arcade, Cliff and I decided to open a bowling alley. When that started on a roll and was doing well, we opened a roller rink. We now owned three successful businesses and still decided to open a golf course, which was a big hit. Cliff and I hired people to watch over and take care of the golf course and roller rink. We also hired a person to watch the bowling alley. So, one year after leaving Orlando and coming home, I owned my own house, which was a pretty good size. Three bathroom, Three bedroom, a twenty foot in ground pool. I owned my truck and a 1694 dark green mustang. I also had a 1979 Cherry red Chevy camaro. I was doing great; all the businesses were doing great and were all paid off already. Cliff and I were making money hand over fist. Cliff was seeing this chick and really loved her. Me, I didn't have anyone. Everytime I met someone I thought about Justin and I couldn't do anything. I could even go out with them without feeling guilty. It was really weird. One day Cliff and I were at the arcade doing paper work and making sure everything was in order. Cliff asked me to come out front because some people wanted to see me. When I walked out to the front, Justin, JC, and Lance were there. "Guys, what can I do for you. Here take a seat." I said pointing towards a table "Cliff, get us some sodas" "I figure you would have something stronger than that." Lance said looking around. "Not here, this is for the kids that have nothing better to do than get into trouble. In here they are off the streets and for the most part out of trouble." I said taking a soda from Cliff "thanks man. How's everything looking?" "Alright, so what is Nsync doing here?" Cliff asked. "Nothing, they are here to see me. Guys, this is my long time friend Cliff. He and I started this place and three others." I said introducing Cliff to the guys. "Guys, let's leave these two to talk." JC said standing up. "Hey Cliff, open a table for these guys." I yelled and cliff came out with a key and unlocked the door on the pool table so the guys could play pool without paying for every game. "So Justin, How have you been." I asked looking at him and taking a drink of my pop. I figured that sense Dave wasn't with him that he had left Justin. "Good, good. I have been getting by. I just thought that we would come see you." He said. "You mean Dave dumped ya and JC and Lance dragged you up here to see if I would take you back." I said. I thought that this was a pretty bold move on my part, but I was really busy and didn't have time for him to beat around the bush. "No, JC and Lance didn't drag me up here to see if you would take me back." He said looking at me. Then he looked towards his soda "I dragged JC and Lance up here with me to see if you would take me back." "So Dave dumped ya," I asked. I wasn't sounding to caring at this point, but the was simply because I already knew. "Yeah," Justin said with a sigh. "You were right all along. You can say I told ya so." "Yes, I could. But I am not going to, you already know, that is what counts. Justin, you know you screwed up, that is what matters." I said putting my hand on top of his on the table." But do you expect me to give up the life I have made here because you found out you screwed up?" "No, I can't ask you to do that," Justin said in a really depressing manner. "I tell ya what, I'll make you a bet, one game of pool. I win, I stay: you win, I go with you." I said standing up and walking to my office and grabbing my personal pool stick. "I don't know Jas, I don't think that it's a good idea," he said standing up. "Come on, one game of rotation. If you really need me, you should bet me easily." I said racking the pool balls and handing him one of the best pool stick we had. "You break," Justin broke the balls up and did pretty well. He hit in three balls and I hit in five. Then he another three and I hit my other two. All I had to hit was the eight and I would win. I was about to hit it in and I looked into Justin's eyes. I saw sorrow and helplessness. I called the corner pocket and hit it off the rail and it bunched back and landed it the pocket opposite of the one I called, on purpose of course. The second I went in that pocket, Justin's eyes light up like a Christmas tree. "Well Justin, you won. I'll move back down with ya." I said walking over to him. He had a tear in his eye that started to run down his cheek. I whipped it away and looked him in the eyes. I had really missed those ice blue gems. I gave him a kiss on the lips and put my arms around him and whispered into his ears. "I'm all yours Justin. From now until forever." I whispered so low only the tow of us could hear it. "Thank you," he whispered back. He pulled apart and I gave the address of my house and told him to meet me there about six o'clock. They left and I turned to look at Cliff. "So you leaving again," he said. "Looks like it," I said. "You can't fool me, I've seen you make that shot a hundred times, at least." He said. "Maybe I was nervous," I answered. "You, nervous. Yeah right. I don't buy that," he said. "I can't help it. I love him." I answered. "That's what I was waiting to hear," Cliff said as we walked into the office. "The businesses are all yours Cliff." I said grabbing my personal stuff I had in the desk. "Leave your name on every thing, ok." He said. "Fine, Go ask you girl if she'll marry you." I said looking at him. "Jason, you know I can't support her in that house of mine. It's way too small." Cliff protested. "I know, but I am giving you my house," I said as I continued to pack. "Jas, I can't take you house. I have to give you something for it." He demanded. "I tell ya what, I'll give you my address do in Florida and when you have a few extra bucks, send it my way. Other than that, forget about any money. We'll switch it into your name and you can pay me what ever you want." I said walking out of the office and into the parking lot and putting my briefcase into my trunk of the mustang. tbc. if you want to mail me any comments or concerns, email me at roczilla@hotmail.com
