I do not know the sexual preferences of anyone in the band, and this story in NO way implies that I do. This story is entirely fiction, though all fiction has to be based on some sort of reality (otherwise we wouldn't be able to comprehend it!), the elements concerning N'SYNC or any other celebrity that may be mentioned are 100% fictitious. Later installments of this story may contain sexually explicit content! If you are offended by M/M representations of these actions then read no further. I'm so sorry for taking so long to get this part out. I know you must not think too highly of me after taking like 15 days just to get the second part out, but believe me I have a LONG list of perfectly valid explanations, most of which involve an ass load of school work! But again, for those of you who hold grudges, I'M SORRY, and I hope I won't take as long to get the next part out! Now on to the next order of business, there are some people that I need to mention/thank. First of all, there's this really cool nifty author named Evan! He writes a neato (hehe) story called Justin's Dark Angel! I HIGHLY recommend it. It's about this Justin from N'SYNC. He falls in love with a guy with no name--well he has a name, but we just don't know it, and ...well....it's confusing, so you HAVE to read the story and see for yourself. It's really kick ass, trust me, you won't regret it! I'd also like to Say hi to Gemmi! Thanks for all of your kind words girl! (Check out her oh-so-sweet story Lance's Song!) She's a great author, with a love for children that emanates from her writing! Check it out! I guess I really should say hi and thanks to Rob and Dave cuz they are just that cool too! Rob thanks for all those "I'll listen to this kid blab for an hour and still not hate him" sessions.... I really appreciate them! Dave, I don't really understand you....but you're cool all the same! Of course, I have to say thanks to EVERYONE else who e-mailed me, so THANK YOU soooo much! Cole (good luck with your story! I'll be the first to read it when you're finished!) Kenny, Luna, Tonny, John, Clive, Gregory, Merle, Molly, Neil, the other Dave, KillurSoul, and ANYONE else that I left out.... You guys/gals are all the greatest! I love to get e-mail, so if you would like to be on the receiving end of one of my thank-you's, I suggest that you do just that....E-MAIL ME!!!!! Comments, SUGGESTIONS, concerns, flames, candy, CD's (wouldn't it be cool if you could e-mail CD's?!?!) ANYTHING, just e-mail me at niftyfrank@email.com ! Now, after the longest header in the history of the Nifty Story Archive, LET THE STORY BEGIN!! "Come on Brent, let's go!" Evan said pulling Brent out of the room. But not before Brent could groan his last words. "Fucking bastards..." They stormed out of the room and were making their way back to the backstage entrance so that they could get out of there. They were pissed. A few seconds later, Justin came running out the door to the dressing room. "Wait!" he shouted... Brent and Evan came to an abrupt halt, and quickly swiveled around when they heard the shout's echo permeating throughout the corridor. Simultaneously, their expressions seemed to soften as they realized that although they had the right to be angry, there was really no cause for them to be furious. The normal glint returned to Brent's blue green eyes, but he was still plenty mad. His short brown hair was bunched up from the sweat that had accumulated during the concert. It was also a little mangled due to his fast paced, melodramatic exit. They stood there for a few moments until--an obviously still exhausted--Justin finally reached their position in the long hallway. "I'm sorry," He began. Then realizing that he didn't know how to address the two, he continued, "I didn't catch your names!" "As if you asked!" Brent responded harshly! He was all about first impressions and the guys of N'SYNC had not made the list of his favorite first time encounters! "Well, I'm asking you now. What are you names?" Justin asked. It would be hard for one to judge what he was thinking, neither his face nor his voice revealed anything about his inter-workings. His tone was monotonous. "I'm Evan, and this is Brent." Evan said replying for the both of them. He had realized that he could not stay mad at the man that he had obsessed over for the past couple of years. He didn't show it, but he had a little celebration within himself--he was talking to Justin Timberlake! "Well Evan...Brent, I....umm we're sorry for how we behaved just now. You did not deserve to be given cold shoulder like that. I know it's no excuse, but we've been having some issues within the group lately--we had no right." Justin said, voicing his apology. "We understand," Brent began calmly, "so we'll just be leaving now." At this, he received a death stare from Evan, but he thought it was best if they both just left. "Come on guys, don't be like that!" Came another voice. It was Joey, his flaming red hair, gelled and spiked. "We said that we forgive you..." Brent began again, only to be cut off by yet another voice. "Yeah, don't be like that!" It was a bass voice, "We really are sorry. Don't just dismiss us as jerks. At least give us a chance to redeem ourselves." As this was said, Brent looked behind Justin and Joey to see none other than Lance Bass. His blonde hair spiked to perfection. A look of remorse adorned his face. Brent was more than tempted to succumb to the singer...but decided against it. His will was strong when it came to first impressions! Brent began to turn around again, pulling Evan with him, when he heard yet another voice! "What else do you want us to say? We really are sorry!" JC said pleadingly. His face still dripping with sweat from the concert. His black hair a little matted. Brent stood there, looking at four of the member of N'SYNC, half not knowing how to respond, and half waiting for the last voice to interrupt him as soon as he began to say something. When no voice was heard, he turned and began to walk away. "Look, guys....umm, I'm sorry too...ok?" It was Chris. He had his head was down. Whether from shame for the way that he acted, or because of the fact that he was apologizing to two complete strangers, Brent did not know. "We really would like to change your opinions of us...give us another chance, ya know? So how about you guys go out with us some time, and let bygones be bygones?" Brent was a little shocked to say the least. Here he was, judging these five people that he didn't even know...concluding that they were assholes, yet they took the initiative to not only apologize to he and Evan, but also to invite them out! How could he turn them down? True, he did think highly on first impressions....but there have been cases where he has misjudged people. He opened his mouth to accept when he was cut off yet again! He was not liking that trend for the evening. "Sure, we'd love to hang out with you guys sometime!" Evan said excitedly. He was staring at Justin who began blushing from the attention. Realizing that he had made Justin uncomfortable, Evan looked away. "Yeah..." Brent started to say when he was absolutely positive that no one had any other cause to interrupt him, "we'll take y'all up on that offer." The entire group seemed to breathe a sigh of relief at the same time; although, Brent could not figure out why his forgiveness was so important to them, he dismissed the thought. The group of people continued to talk for a good while. They formally introduced themselves, and Brent even did some apologizing of his own! Apparently, he felt that he had 'blown things out of proportion.' As the time grew increasingly late, a chorus of yawns began. Noticing this, Brent took steps toward ending the conversation. "Well...it's getting pretty late now, so Evan and really should be heading home." "Aww, so soon?!?!" Joey complained in his best six-year-old voice. He was attempting to wrinkle his forehead like a sad puppy, but to no avail. "So Soon?!" Brent questioned! "We've been standing here for..." he stopped to look at his watch, "an hour and thirty-seven minutes!" "Wow!" Lance said sleepily. "We didn't mean to keep you so long." "That's ok." Evan spoke up. "But we'd better be heading out now." "Well, it was great meeting you guys, and again, we're really sorry for how we treated you." JC said apologizing one last time. "Yeah, nice meeting you too!" Brent agreed. "And STOP apologizing!" This got a laugh from everyone else, and soon, everyone was saying their good-bye's. Brent and Evan turned to leave when JC told them to hold on a minute. Curious, the pair spun around to face N'SYNC. "We meant what we said about you going out with us sometime, so why don't we spend the day together tomorrow?" The rest of the guys echoed a hearty 'yeah' and waited for Brent and Evan to give some type of reply. "Sure!" was all that they could manage. "Coo'" JC said. How bout' you leave us your addresses, and we'll send a car to pick you up at say...12:30?" "That sounds good." Evan replied. "Yeah, 12:30 is fine with me," Brent began, "but there is no need to go through the trouble of sending a car for us, I can pick Evan up, and we can meet you guys somewhere." "It's no trouble, really! So we'll send a car to pick you guys up at 12:30!" JC replied as happily as he could in his state of exhaust. "There really is no need fo..." Brent tried to get out as he was interrupted yet again! "Noooo trouble," JC reminded him, "Noooo trouble at all." Brent, being too tired to continue arguing, gave in. "Fine." He said flatly, but we really should be heading home before I become too groggy to drive. He gave JC his address, as did Evan. They gave all the guys another 'goodbye' and they were off. They headed towards where Brent had parked the car. They had no problems locating the car...partially because the parking lot was pretty much deserted, and also because the Brent's white Montero Sport seemed to be glowing feverishly against the backdrop of the late night sky. They moved sluggishly toward the florescent glow. When they were in range, Brent reached into his pocket, and used the key chain to unlock the doors....They climbed up, and strapped in. Brent cranked the engine, and pulled off....the slow movement of the car, and direct reflection of his lax state. He knew instantly that he had better try and rush this trip home a little. The last thing that he wanted to do was fall asleep at the wheel. At about 12:46 when He pulled onto the freeway. It wasn't that late, but he and Evan were both exhausted after the events of that night. Brent could feel himself falling asleep. His eyelids sagged over his blue-green eyes. As much as he wanted to give in to the enemy of sleep, he knew that he had to get he and Evan home. He glanced over to the passenger's seat, and saw his friend sleeping deeply. Attempting to curl into a fetal position.... only to be rebuffed by the snug seat belt. He smiled a little in his sleep. Brent smirked as well as let out a little chuckle, and then focused his attention on the task at hand--staying awake! He was, once again, losing the battle. In an attempt to remain awake, He turned on the radio--he kept the volume low as to keep from disturbing Evan. He found himself falling into the song. Deeper and deeper he fell--until he wasn't able to fight any longer. His upper body slumped over, and he gave in to his invincible foe. He was asleep on the freeway! From the other direction, an absent minded trucker hurled his eighteen-wheeler fourth from the other direction. Bored with the monotony of the road, he stared blankly in front of him; although, he was keeping an eye on the road his mind was obviously elsewhere. Back in Brent's Montero Sport, his foot had eased off the gas a little in his slumber, but the SUV continued to veer to the left--cutting across the lanes of the freeway. Brent, unaware of the oncoming onslaught slept peacefully. The trucker continued on in his state of partial-awareness. He shook a little when he noticed a glint in the road up ahead. He dismissed it as a road marker, and drove on. As he got closer to where he had first seen the glint, its size grew bigger--along with the intensity of the glow. When he got closer, he was able to make out the newly formed object in front of him. It was a car. He shook himself out of his daze, and took a second to process the situation. In a sudden burst of enlightenment, he screamed out in horror, "AHHHHHHH!!!!!" "Brent awoke from his nap at the sound of a low pitched horn. He rubbed the sleep out of his eyes, and looked around. He was in his car. 'Damn it!" he cursed as he finally realized that he had fallen asleep at the wheel. Then, once again, his attention was drawn to the loud sound of a horn. He looked up, and his eyes flared in horror! By this point, Evan had awoken, and was too looking through the windshield. The pair, frightened beyond comprehension roared "OH MY GOD!!!!!"
