As much as I would suspect otherwise, I have no actual proof of the sexual orientations of Lance Bass, Justin Timberlake or JC Chasez. Consequently anything you read in this story is the product of the mind of its author. That said, this story attempts to take a realistic look into the thoughts and feelings of a guy as he discovers the pains and the joys associated with loving his fellow man... or his fellow band mate as the case may be. And yes, that means it will take a few chapters before we get to any sex (don't worry it will be worth it). And it will take more chapters before Lance actually achieves the goal of his search. My plan is to post a chapter a week and I've already finished 14, so there's lots of fun and excitement in store for everyone. If you have any comments, please e-mail them to bjluver@gay.com. Otherwise, enjoy the story. BJ Lance's Search Chapter 3 That afternoon the guys all got some lunch, met with some fans who had been selected by a local radio show and even did a minor amount of rehearsal. One of the best things about being in New Orleans' French Quarter was the food. Restaurants were everywhere and the food couldn't be beat. The guys got a private dining room in one of them for supper, enough to seat the five band members along with staff and bodyguards. Some of the group made a point of going upstairs to see a display on Mardi Gras costumes while others were indulging in desserts. "Who is up for some night life?" JC said. "I feel ready to pah-tay." JC wasn't usually the first to suggest clubbing, but there was always something about New Orleans that got his juices flowing. He wanted to get out and mingle with the people on Bourbon Street, even if it was still warm out there. In other towns JC would sometimes stay in for the night and work on his music. Never here. "I'm up for it!" Chris said. "But I also need to stop by one of those voodoo shops." "Why do you want to do go there?" Joey said as he returned to the room from a trip upstairs. "I thought you got rid of all your curses when you cut off that pineapple on your head." "Ha, ha, very funny. Actually I need to pick up a witch doctor mask for you to wear." "Cool. Just make sure it matches my red hair," Joey laughed. "You gonna go out tonight, Scoop?" Justin asked. "Nope. Thought I would practice what you taught me today. I'm going back to the hotel." "Well, watch out man. Playing around on the net can get awfully addictive. You'll probably be up long after we get back tonight." "Naw, I plan to make a early night of it. I just want to get used to using what I learned." "Yeah, we'll see. I'll stop by when I get back in tonight. Bet you'll still be up," Justin said as he got up out of his chair to leave the restaurant. "Just don't get my keyboard all sticky, man!" Justin and the other guys left, leaving Lance to wonder what Curly meant. Guess he doesn't want me to have any drinks near his computer. That makes sense. Lance went back to his hotel with his bodyguard. He decided to get himself ready for bed before firing up Justin's computer. When all the preparations were made, Lance sat down at the desk in his room clothed in his boxer briefs and the wife beater. The only light was from the glow of the monitor. He followed all of Justin's instructions correctly and he began surfing the net. After a few minutes, then he began to wonder, what now? How could the guys spend so much time on here? Then he remembered what Justin had told him about search engines and that Yahoo site. But what should he look up? Duh, let's see if anyone has a site about the group. Lance couldn't believe the number of sites that came up. Man, wonder if the Back Street Boys have this many sites? Sure enough, they did. "Let's try us again. But how could I narrow the search down a bit more?" Lance decided to search for his own name in conjunction with NSYNC. The number stunned him. Nearly a thousand! He checked out a few sites. Someone even had a "LanceBass.com" site. Wow. He knew the record company had sites and all, but he never really imagined all of these others. "Guess it just goes to show whenever I say my well-rehearsed line about our fans being the best anywhere that it really is true." Then something stirred in Lance's mind. Tentatively he typed in another word in this last search. +NSYNC + Lance Bass +gay. He wasn't sure why he wanted to do it. He just did. When the results came back. Lance sat there and stared at the screen. He went numb. Finally he found his courage, enough to click on one of those blue-colored words staring back at him. To be continued...
