Author's notes: This is yet another song fic, lol...I seem to be in song fic mode. This song is "Miss You Most at Christmas Time" by Mariah Carey off her Christmas album. Also, the first verse of the Christmas carol "Oh Holy Night" is also used :)

The fire is burning
The room's all aglow
Outside the December wind blows
Away in the distance the carolers sing in the snow
Everybody's laughing
The world is celebrating
And everyone's so happy
Except for me tonight

JC looked out the window and saw the snow falling down from the clouded sky. The fireplace was glowing with colors of red, yellow, orange, and blue; the Christmas tree, decorated in sparkling ornaments, twinkling in the corner. Christmas Eve. The day before the supposed happiest day of the year, but not for JC. Three years since...

"Merry Christmas Justin, I miss you baby." JC said as a tear dropped down his cheek.

"Merry Christmas Josh," Justin said as he removed the blindfold.

Josh gasped at the site of the tree, decorated with gold beads and different ornaments of all shapes, sizes, and colors. The presents under the tree were all wrapped except for one, that had a bow on it.

"Justin, is that...is that..."

"Yes, baby...it is. Go take a look at it."

JC walked up to the new shining black grand piano. It was the exact one he had been admiring in the music store. This piano was electronic and acoustic; it stored songs and played them back without anyone having to play. JC sat down at the bench and started to play a soft christmas carol. Justin came up behind him and started to sing to Josh's melodic playing.

"O holy night, the stars are brightly shining. It is the night of our dear savior's birth. Long lay the world in sin and error pining, till he appeared and the soul felt its worth. A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices, for yonder breaks a new and glorious morn. Fall on your knees, oh hear the angel voices. Oh night divine, oh night when Christ was born. Oh night divine, oh night, oh night divine."

JC leaned back into Justin when he finished singing and smiled, a knowing gleam spreading across his face.

"Oh, Justin I just realized we didn't check our stockings. Go get yours first."

Justin's face lit up and he walked over to his stocking. It was empty except for a small black velvet box. He pulled out the box, and opened it. His jaw dropped instantaneously, as soon as he saw what it was.

"Josh, is this...is this...?"

"Yes, Justin it is," JC said as he got down on one knee in front of his love.

"Yes Josh...oh my gosh, YES!" Justin answered even before JC could ask him.

JC stood up and brought Justin close to him, kissing him fully with lots of love on the lips.

"You have made me the happiest man alive!" JC answered, tears brimming at the corners of his eyes.

*end flashback*

Because I miss you
Most at Christmas time
And I can't get you
Get you off my mind
Every other season comes along
And I'm all right
But then I miss you, most at Christmas time

"JC. What are you doing?" Heather said as she came into the living room of their parent's house.

"Thinking. I can't help it."

"Jace, it's been three years. Don't you think it's time you moved on?"

"How can I, Heather? He was my husband, my best friend, and my first love. I just can't move on."

Heather patted JC on the back, gave him a hug, and left the room. JC turned back to the window and continued to stare into blankness.

I gaze out the window
This cold winter's night
At all of the twinkling lights
Alone in the darkness
Remembering when you were mine
Everybody's smiling
The whole world is rejoicing
And everyone's embracing
Except for you and I

"Merry Christmas Justin."

"Merry Christmas Josh."

Justin leaned over and captured Josh's lips with his own. They located in front of the fireplace, lying on the couch. JC scooted back and brought Justin closer to him. Justin slipped his hands up JC's shirt and started massaging the smooth skin he found there. JC moaned and opened his mouth to accept Justin's tongue. Justin happily obliged and inserted his tongue into JC's mouth. JC suckled it in, and started to grind up against Justin. After a while of making out, Justin was the first to pull away.

"I love you Josh."

"I love you too Justin, I love you so much."

Justin relaxed, and laid his head down on JC's chest. JC started to run his hand through the curls that were starting to grow back. Soon, he heard the calm breathing of his baby sleeping. Kissing the top of Justin's head, he encircled his arms around Justin's body and was soon fast asleep himself.

*end flashback*

In the springtime those memories start to fade
With the April rain
Through the summer days
Till autumn's leaves are gone
I get by without you
Till the snow begins to fall

"Why Justin? Why did you leave me? Why did it have to be you, and not me?" JC said, as he turned his head away from the window and slid down the wall. Pulling his legs next to his chin, he put his head on them and began to sob. Pictures of that horrific day flooding his memory. Images of the road, of the snow, and of Justin...lying there.

"Josh, are you sure we aren't lost?"

"No, we couldn't be...I know this part of Maryland like the back of my hand. We just have to make this turn up here."

The rain poured down from the sky, blinding hail and ice was everywhere. Justin was behind the wheel, gripping it like it was his life. The turn was up ahead. They were almost there. He could picture the party and the food and the tree. It would be the first christmas him and JC would share as an official married couple.

"Almost there baby."

"Josh, I can't see. Where's the........."

"I'm sorry sir, there's nothing more we can do."

*end flashback*

"I love you Justin Randall Timberlake. I`ll be there to join you soon my love."

And then I miss you
Most at Christmas time
And I can't get you
Get you off my mind
Every other season comes along
And I'm all right...
But then I miss you, most at Christmas time

The end :'(
