This is just fantasy and if homosexual content offends you or is illegal for you to read, please leave. I am not affiliated with them, J records, Jive records, MTV, ABC or anything. The only thing I have remotely in common with these boys is that Ashley Parker Angel and I were born on the exact same day-August 1, 1981. FIRST THINGS FIRST: I'm trying to bring the updates along at a quicker pace now that the story is picking up again. I want to thank everyone for sticking with me in that last drama filled situation but I believe that everything is going to be alright from now on. I'll be home for Spring Break starting Friday for like over a week and for the 3rd straight college year in a row I'm not going anywhere but I'm not a little bitter or anything. That's ok though because I will get more time to update so hopefully I can work on some stuff then. I'm really trying to load up the story with goodies because the BBSA awards are coming up soon. Nominations begin in April and I hope everyone continues to support me when that comes around. I know you guys will though because you're all awesome. Nick responded as he looked over and gave his fiancee a smile. They had patched things up since that night at the beach cliff. It was a tall order for Nick to forgive but just looking at the pain in Ashley's eyes told him that he didn't mean for it to go this far. Nick knew that they loved each other and nothing, not even Matt, could come in between them. They cried, argued and laughed together that night and at about 3 in the morning they realized that everything was going to be alright. They were actually laying in each other's arms enjoying the after effects of the situation that made them feel even more stronger a few days later together when they received a phone call which brought them here to Florida Hospital in downtown Orlando. The two men got out of Nick's Durango and walked into the hospital. Ashley was immediately greeted with feelings that he had tried to shut out of his head. Flashbacks of when he was in the hospital bed with Nick keeping vigil at his side flooded his head. He remembered the way that Nick had to go through so much when Ashley's parents showed up and he had to explain the entire situation. So many thoughts were going through his head that he didn't even realize that he had stopped walking. "You alright baby?" Nick asked him. "Yeah, just some bad memories." Ashley said with a plain face Nick walked over to him and put his arm around his boyfriend, giving him the sign that whatever they go through that they know it can be accomplished together. They walked in to the waiting room together and saw all of their friends there looking around at each other. Nick walked over to Kevin. "Any word yet?" Nick asked. "Nothing. I wish someone would just come out and tell us. This is getting so frustrating." Kevin replied. "Excuse me are you friends of Mr. and Mrs. Littrell?" a voice interrupted them. Kevin spun around on his heels and looked at a doctor almost as tall as he and Nick looking at him with a questioning glance. "Yes, is everything ok?" Kevin asked hurriedly. "Well, there were some minor complications that were quickly averted and taken care of..." the doctor began but was quickly cut off. "Just tell me if everything is alright." Kevin said louder than he had wanted. He suddenly felt a hand on his shoulder and he turned around and saw Brian with a smile on his face. "Bri, is everything alright buddy?" Kevin asked nervously "Follow me." Brian said pulling him by the arm. Kevin looked around and noticed that everyone had left the room already. He walked into another room and saw all of his friends staring through a window. They cleared a path for him and Kevin looked in and saw why the doctor was looking at him so funny. In the nursery was the most beautiful little infant boy sleeping so peacefully and soundly with a tiny blue hat over his head. Next to him was a nametag that said "Cody Thomas Littrell- Future of the BSB". Everyone had a good laugh on a little joke that Brian decided to use. "He's beautiful isn't he?" Nick asked Ashley as his face was pressed to the glass cooing at the baby. "Gotta be one of the top 5 most beautiful things I've ever seen." Ashley started and then looked at his boyfriend, "our love being number 1 of course." "Of course" Nick replied with a smile. "Just think Nicky, we're his godparents. I don't think I've ever been given such an honor." Ashley said "I think we'll be good parents." Nick said "You mean godparents." Ashley said "Yeah that too." Nick said with a smile. Ashley looked back at him and returned his smile then looked back at Cody. It was such an amazing sight. This was what life was all about. He saw everything he needed in that baby's eyes. Thoughts of him and Nick someday adopting a kid flooded his head. He looked over at Brian, who was the essence of a proud papa. The smile on his face could never be removed or duplicated. It was the face of someone who's life consisted of such a great simplicity that no matter what was wrong all he needed to do was look at his baby's smiling face and everything would be ok again. It was one week before the wedding. Preparation was the name of the game as invitations were sent out long ago and all the phone calls were made and tuxes were bought. Everything was in place. Management had decided that to keep the wedding away from everything so they rented out an entire beach resort in Key West Florida for the whole party and guests. They figured that one last vacation before the next tours started up would be appropriate and needed. O-town and Backstreet were to part ways in October to start separate tours, one starting in New York and the other starting in Los Angeles. It would be very rough for the boys but they had to get back to work. The new albums were pretty much set and finished and only technicalities remained. The wedding in Key West would be the last bit of fun for everyone before a few more weeks of finishing up everything for singles and photo shoots and all that good stuff before the tour started. There was just one last event that these boys needed to attend before they can start their vacation in Key West, which would conclude with the wedding. This event was the MTV Video Music Awards. "Oh man, this is the last thing I want to do one week before my wedding." Nick said. "Come on, just think, starting tomorrow we'll be laying on the beach in sunny Key West Florida, waiting for you to get married." AJ said Both men were standing side by side in the mirror putting the last touches on their outfits. "Yeah but if you haven't noticed New York is a little colder than Florida in September." Nick said "Yeah true, but the VMA's are always fun. Besides we get to dress up." AJ said with a smile Nick laughed at his friend knowing how much he loved occasions like this. He also remembered the time that both of them would get excited for days like this but now Nick felt more mature and all he wanted to do was sit at home with Ashley. He missed his fiancee. He probably wouldn't see much of him all night since O-town was in a different hotel, different seating section in the Hammerstein Ballroom for the show and they were presenting while Backstreet was performing. Nick knew that someone was testing how strong their love was these past few weeks before the wedding and he also knew that they could survive. They've been through it all in his head and they are still as strong as ever. This was the man he loved and the man he wanted to marry and he was about to. "Let me see what you look like." AJ said turning Nick around and stepping back. Nick struck a pose with that killer smile that made him famous. "The kid's about to get married and he's still got that charm that would make a 12 year old girl faint." AJ said with a laugh. Both men laughed and AJ pulled Nick into a hug. It was a hug saying that the two of them were proud of each other and what each of them had accomplished. They both had their trials and tribulations but they both knew that friendship was the best pillar of strength anyone could offer. "O-town, you're up in 10." A stagehand said backstage. "Here we go boys." Erik said as he waited for the music to come on and then led his band onto the stage. All five men stared out over the Hammerstein Ballroom, a place that had thousands of memories for them. This was the venue for their defining concert. It was the night that told the world that O-town was here to stay and they are a band now, not just a rent-a-band that Lou Pearlman put together. They had owned this very stage that night and now they were presenting an award. It was a sign that they had made it but still had a ways to go, which they didn't mind. Their feet were in the door and that's all that mattered. "Hey guys the last time we were here the scene was a little different." Ashley said reading off the teleprompter. "Yeah, instead of that girl screaming in the front row at our show here a few months ago it's Janet Jackson now." Trevor said. "Hey Trev, that was Janet Jackson that night." Jacob said, which drew a laugh from the crowd. "Anyway guys, back to the awards, we're proud to announce this next act, seeing as we just toured with them and spent a good portion of our summer working with them and just enjoying the good times." Erik said stepping away after to leave the microphone for the last member. "So come on give it up New York for the Backstreet Boys!" Dan yelled out starting to clap so the crowd took his lead. The stage to their left suddenly came to life as light blue stage lights lit up and showed the five guys sitting scattered on white stairs. All 5 of their shirts were completely white giving off a pure feeling yet had a great contrast to the dark pants each of them wore. "Drowning" came through the speakers and the boys began to sing one of the top songs of the year. Brian started the song off with his beautiful melodic voice. He always had a reason to sing in his heart but now he was singing for someone else. "Don't pretend you're sorry And know you're not You know you got the power To make me weak inside Girl, you leave me breathless But it's ok You are my survival Now hear me say." Nick stepped over to Brian and put his arm around him. No two people in the world had any more reason to be happy but Brian knew that Nick was concerned about the future at the moment so Brian returned the favor and put his arm around Nick also. "I can't imagine A life without your love And even forever Don't seem like long enough" The 3 other boys came up behind them and Brian and Nick broke the embrace as each of them walked to the front of the stage to tell everyone in the crowd that the fans were what meant the most. "Every time I breathe I take you in And my heart beats again Baby I can't help it You keep me drowning in your love And every time I try to rise above I'm swept away by love Baby I can't help it You keep me drowning in your love." The boys belt out every word and Ashley could swear that Nick was singing straight from soul to soul. He watched as his boyfriend gave everything he had into this one song and knew that it was for him. As he saw this a single tear fell from his eye. Dan came over and put his arm around him. "C'mon Ash, let's get back to our seats." Dan said Ashley turned and looked at his friend. Dan's smile was contagious and both just looked at each other as if life couldn't get any better. They walked out shoulder-to-shoulder back to their seats. TO BE CONTINUED... <<<< Now the updates are coming along nicely. Pytn18@hotmail.com for comments and suggestions.
