~ Searching So Hard To Find ~

~ Part 3 ~

Justin looked up at Lance, totally surprised by what his friend was telling him. He didn't know what to say to him. Tears welled in Lance's eyes as he watched Justin just stare at him without a word. He stood up and walked out of the room. He walked down the hall to the front of the bus and sat on the couch. He wrapped his arms around his legs and let the tears fall. After a moment he felt two strong arms wrapped around him. He looked up to see Justin.

"I'm sorry I didn't say anything right away, I was just surprised." Justin said in a soft tone. "Lance, your one of my best friends, you know I'll love you no matter what, I don't care in the least little bit whether your gay or not, that doesn't change anything. That doesn't change the way I feel about you at all."

Lance looked at Justin amazed, "Really?"

"Of course! How could you think it would matter? No one will care, none of the guys, we all love you, remember, your irreplaceable." Justin said, grinning at him."

"Thanks J." Lance smiled at him. Justin grabbed his hand and pulled him up. He wrapped his arms around him and gave him a caring hug. As Justin held his friend close he thought about how much Lance meant to him. Lance was always there for him when he needed him. He took care of him when he was sick, he was there to comfort him when he was sad. He confided with him his biggest secret and his biggest fear. As Justin hugged Lance for the brief second he felt his life pass him by and lead him to that very second. For that second Justin felt complete.

They pulled apart and smiled at each other. Justin could see the happiness in Lance eyes, happiness that Justin accepted it so easily. "So are you feeling better?" Lance asked.

"Yeah... actually.. I didn't even think about it, I guess I didn't get nausous when I got up." Justin smiled at him.

"Good, I didn't want to have to watch you puke anymore." Lance laughed.

"Come on, lets go watch some TV." Justin said as they walked back the back of the bus.

"So, how many guys have you been with?" Justin asked Lance as they sat and watched TV.

"None." Lance said quietly.

"What do you mean none? Then how do you know you're gay?" Justin questioned him.

"Because, I just do. I'm not attracted to women, and I'm attracted to men, easy as that."

"Why havn't you been with anyone?"

Lance sat quietly, looking down at his hands. "Because I'm in love with someone. Someone I could never be with." he said, looking up at Justin.

"Why can't you be with him?" Justin asked.

"Because... I just can't, besides, I woudln't want to be with anyone right now, if someone found out, it'd hurt the group." he shrugged. Justin looked at him, he could tell there was more to that. He could tell Lance was hurting and he hoped it would all work out ok.

*A couple days later*

The five men stood on the stage as the fans screamed. As the music started up Justin looked over at Lance and smiled. They started dancing, just like they had so many times before. This time when they sang, something told Justin to listen to the words they were singing. He listened to the words when something hit him. He realized the truth, he realized how it was supposed to be. He knew now what to do.
