Date: Fri, 13 Oct 2000 10:21:19 -0700 (PDT) From: AJ B Subject: The Sixth Backstreet Boy 8 hiya!let it be known that this is not real. its called fiction. never happened. ok. enjoy. ajsaysyourefired@yahoo.com scene continues: "Bullcrap." Brian said instantly. "By a world poll, the BSB is actually more liked, 56% to 44%. A magazine ran a vote for a month and came up with those statistics. We're probably more liked cause homosexual males boost the ratings." "Yeah. That's what I told them." "Did they believe you?" "Hell no!" I snorted. He sighed. "You know Justin, it's getting kind of late..." "Oh. You want to take me back now?" "Well, I'd actually like to find some way out of it, but I honestly can't see one. Can you?" "No." I said dejectedly. He sighed again. "Well, I really should be going home. I have an early plane to catch, our tour's starting again. We just had that two day's break." "Yeah. Us too. Where are you headed tomorrow?" "Fort Lauderdale. We play the day after tomorrow. Have to practice when we arrive, then photos, and the next morning early practice/rehersal and soundcheck." "Really? 'N Sync is going to Fort Lauderdale tomorrow also!" I said, brightening. "What time is your plane?" "Eight o'clock sharp. That's when it's departing." "Oh. Ours is ten-fifteen." "When are you playing?" "Day after you. Must be for the fans. A double band dealy." I said. "Hey, do you want to come to our concert? I can get you tickets." He grinned. "Sure. As long as you come to ours. I can get you tickets too. How many?" "Just one." "Don't want to bring a buddy?" I shrugged. "Don't got no buddies to bring. How about you, how many? Who do you want to bring?" "Well, me for sure. And Nick. He'd want to come. Him for sure too. Kevin, my cousin, will want to sleep, probably, and AJ and Howie will want to go clubbing." "Okay. I can get you two. Just give me the name of the hotel you'll be staying at and I'll have them delivered." "Okey doke. It's the..um..here." he pulled a folded piece of paper from his pocket and showed it to me. I memorized it. "Tell me yours so I can get yours to you." he said. Okay. I'm staying at the Super 8, courtesy of Your Mother." "Justin!" he said, laughing. I laughed. "Okay. It's the plain old Ft. Lauderdale Hotel. I have to share a room with Jc. They watch me. Actually, unless I can sneak out, which I don't think I can, one or two of them will want to come with me to make sure I won't molest you or something to that effect. I'm telling you, they treat me like a gay pervert sex maniac. Which I can assure you I'm not. But if they catch me, they will want to come." "Oh. Want me to send two j/i/c's?" "Yes please." (j/i/c stands for just in case) "Alrighty then. Oh yeah, I can get backstage passes too. That way you can see us acting like morons." "Who's acting?" I said in a mock voice. He smacked my shoulder. I put my hands up, laughing. "I give up!" I said. "Want me to send the passes too?" he asked. "Uh, sure. Um, will the other guys in your group think it awfully strange that an 'nsync guy is at their concert? Or two or three, for that matter. And if we do go backstage? What will they think?" "Nothing. Cause Nick and I will be going to your concert. I'll just tell them me and you are friends. They won't press it." "They won't think you're, like, sleeping with me, will they?" "_What_? Where the _hell_ did that come from?" "Oh. Oh, sorry. I'm sorry! " I said desperetely. "I guess being around the guys, who talk and think like that all the time has rubbed off on me. I'm really very sorry I offended you, Brian." I said sincerely. "I really didn't mean it. I really want to be your friend, I don't know why I said that, they say it all the time, they think gay guys meet, talk for five minutes then have sex. They think a homosexual relationship is all meaningless sex. They don't understand the love involved, just like a heterosexual relationship...I'm so sorry Brian.." He sighed. "It's okay. And no, you didn't offend me, you just..surprised me. I was taken off guard is all. I never expected you to say that." "I'm so sorry." I said, my head hung. There I go and anger the first person to be kind to me in a year. Figures. "Now you'll probably think I _am_ a faggot pervert sex maniac..I'm....I'm _not_..." He sighed again. "I don't think that, Justin. And you don't need to apologize. I understand." he put his arm around my shoulders. "You just need a friend." I looked up at him hopefully and he said, "I'd be glad to be a friend to you. I really will try. Okay? Here, let me write down my cell phone and pager number for you. And my home phone number, even though I'm hardly ever there. But you can reach me at the cell number. And you can call me anytime you want, buddy. If you need someone to talk to or something. And if I'm in the area, I'll come to see you, okay?" I took the paper with his numbers o it and put it in my wallet. "Thank you so much, Brian." I said solemnly. "Thank you so much, you Backstreet Boy you." He laughed. "Yeah and go 'n stink yourself." "Hey! No fair! Yours was better!" I protested. He laughed again. "Okay, now we need to figure out what to do about yur so-called friends." I sighed. "Just take me home. They've gotten me before, and they'll get me again. There's nothing we can do about it. And anyway, "I said, as I glanced down at the paper with his numbers, "if I've finally got a friend, especially someone who doesn't mind I'm gay, especially someone I'm 'rivals' with, no one's fists are going to hurt me tonight." I said. "I'm so happy I finally have a friend, someome who doesn't mind if I'm gay, I'm just...so happy. Thank you so much, Brian.." "Well, I want to help you." he said. "You're a nice guy and you don't deserve the treatment they give you. I tried to help you...but this problem.." "Oh Brian, you not only tried to help me, you succeeded. Why would someone, anyone, want to help me anyway. You are such a great guy..I could just kiss you!" "Um..you might not want to do _that_.." he said slowly. "Don't worry, I won't. I was just using it as the phrase."I said. "I can't tell you how happy I am. Don't worry, I'm not going to go all Cable Guy on you, it's just.." I sighed, calming down. "I not only cared for those guys, I loved them. Like brothers. And they hurt me so bad..and not just physically, with their fists and weapons. They..I'm a little ashamed to say this.." "Broke your heart?" "Yeah." I said quietly. "In a way. Cause they were all like my big brothers. Before I told them..they cared about me and watched out for me, like I was their little kid brother. And I just made me so sad when they started hating me. Sometimes..sometimes I would cry a little into my pillow. I just felt so lonely and miserable. I can't explain it. I was just so desolated. I had no one to call my friend and no one acted like a friend. I had no one to talk to. They all hated me, they said so quite often, and still do. More often than I would like to say, actually. Those four guys, my brothers, who'd always loved and cared for me, hitting me and beating me up and saying things that were _so mean_. It just hurt. So much.." "I can imagine." he said finally. I sighed. "I'm sorry, I'm not trying to make you feel guilty. I'm just trying to explain how much it means to me that you want to be my friend." "Well, I do. You're a wonderful guy and I want to be your friend. Now, I mean what I said, you can call me anytime and we can talk. And sometimes get together and do something, K?" "Okay." "So..what do we do?" I shrugged. "Just take me back. I'll be okay. I always am." "Are you sure?" "Yeah." "Do they hit you very hard?" "As hard as they can." "So then you'll get black eyes and a banged up face, right?" "Yeah." I said, wondering where he was going with this. "So if you have black eyes won't people be wondering, especially if you have photoshoots or a concert?" I sighed. "If we're going to be in the public a lot, they wont' hit my face. Just my stomach and back and arms and legs. If they really want to hit me, and they'll do this quite often, they'll hit me over the back with a belt. The buckle end, so I get hit up pretty bad." I sighed again. "That way no one will see. But if they feel like hitting my face, our makeup artist has this complexion stuff they make me put on. So unless you're, like, three inches from my face, you won't notice a thing. It's made for bruises and stuff. I just tell I tried rollerblading on that..whatever it's called, that half wooden pipe dealy. He bought it." I sighed. "Oh. Man Justin, that really sucks." he sighed too. "Don't I know it." "They do the belt trip when they're especially angry?" "Or especially bored. Or both. Yeah." "Will they this time?" "Mmmmm..probably." I said. "But who cares. Just take me back. Gotta face the music sometime, and the sooner the better, just get it over with." "That's just not right." he said, shaking his head. "You really shouldn't put up with it. I mean it, you really shouldn't. It's not only assault and battery and abuse, it's discrimination. Tell the jerkoffs not to hit you anymore or you'll call the police on them." I smiled sadly at him. "Thanks Brian, but no. I can't. I really can't. Maybe one day you'll understand. I'd really rather handle it on my own. If I just take it, then maybe one day they'll see they're wrong and stop." "Yeah, but they probably won't." he said. "Take me back now?" He sighed. "Okay, if that's what you really want to do." "Brian, it's the only thing to do." He led me out to the parking lot, and we got in a blue BMW. He started it up, and looked at me. I gave him the address. We drove, and soon we were there. Brian parked the car in my driveway. "You sure you want to take it from these guys?" "I have to. Don't worry 'bout ol' Justin, I'll be alright." I opened the door. "I'll have the tickets and passes delivered to your room when we get to Fort Lauderdale." "Thanks. I will too." he said. "The j/i/cs too." "Are you sure Nick will want to come?" "He will if I tell him to." I laughed. "Brian man, you crack me up." "We aim to please." he said. I smiled. "See you in two days." "You too, bro." he said. He drove away, waving, and I looked at the house I shared with Jc and Lance and sighed. I went to the front door and opened it. Jc and Lance were dozing on the couch, Chris was sitting and drinking a beer and Joey wasn't in sight. They ignored me. Uh-oh. That's bad. "Uh.." I cleared my throat. "I'm, uh, back." Jc opened his eyes. "Justin!" "Uh...hi." I managed, eyeing the belt on Chris's lap. "Where were you?!" Lance fixed me with a steely glare. Well, howdy to you too, brother! Greetings, friend! "Talking with Brian Littrell." I answered. "Can he vouch for that?" he snapped. "He most certainly can. He dropped me off here not five minutes ago. I was talking to him the whole time." "Well! why don't we call him and see?" Chris said. "Okay." I said. "Shut up!" he yelled at me. "Don't you talk back!" I shut up. "Where am I supposed to find his number?" Lance asked Chris. "Ask faggoty if he got it from him. Ah, true love." True love, my ass. Um, no pun intended. "Well?" Lance snapped at me. "Did you?" I nodded, taking my wallet out. I found the paper and read off his home phone number. Lance dialed and I put my paper away carefully. "No answer." Lance said. "Where is he?" "Maybe he's still on his way, " I suggested. "I didn't ask you!" Lance yelled. "Boy, he's really itching to Get It, huh?" Chris said, snapping the belt. "Do you have a cell number for him?" Lance said angrily at me. I nodded, and carefully read it off. "Ringing.." he said. "Hello, is Brian Littrell around?...hey Brian. This is Lance Bass from 'Nsync. We were just wondering...Uh, yeah. How did you know?......yeah....oh, uh, sure."he handed the phone to me. "Make it quick." he hissed. He started talking to the others. "Yello, Justin here, at your service." I said. "Ha ha very funny. So your pals are checking up on you, huh?" "Yeah, but I expected that." Pause. "They're going to hit you, aren't they?" "Of course." I added quietly, "That's what they do best." "Huh. Well..Justin, you should really stand up to them." "Yeah. Okay. _You_ stand up to four guys with weapons who have done this countless times before." I said low so they wouldn't hear. "Listen Bri, I told you. I'll take care of it my own way." "Are you taking care of it or taking it?" he said wisely. Ah ha, so you think you have me, do you? "The latter rather than the former." "Justin-" "Bri?" "Yeah?" "Put a lid on it." He sighed. "Okay. I can see I'm not going to win with you. You go ahead and take it. After all, tomorrow is another day." "Yeah, you go Orphan Annie." "Oh, cram it." "Where?" "Your ass, back to where it came from." I laughed. "Okay. Um, B-Rok," I said, as I noticed Lance, Joey and Chris giving me dirty looks (Jc was just dozing again). "I think I should go now." "Dammit, they're going to hit you." "Yeah." He sighed. "Stay strong, Justin. Talk later." "Later." I said, and hung up. I looked at the others. Joey and Lance had come up with belts also. Joy of all joys. I sighed. "Jc, hold him back." Chris instructed. "Aye aye captain." he yawned. He walked over behind me and I gave him my hands. I knew the drill. He pulled and twisted them behind my back so I couldn't move without sharp pain. I sighed again. Yeah, I knew the drill all too well. "Okay, not his face." Lance said. "Too much public. " he looked at me. "You want to be a smart ass? Okay." he punched me in the stomach. I closed my eyes tight, waiting to breathe again. You know how it is when you get the wind knocked out of you, you just want to lie down and close your eyes and wait to be able to get some air, not sure you ever will again. Cause when you can't breathe, nothing else matters. Lance punched my stomach again. They all (excluding Jc-he was holding my hands) punched my in the stomach a bunch of times. Then Jc let go of my arms. Chris pushed me down and kicked my stomach and chest, hard. Pain spread quickly. I couldn't even breathe anymore. It was all just pain. Joey and Lance kicked me too. Then Jc knelt down and pulled my shirt off me roughly. I closed my eyes tight when I saw Lance pick up his belt and raise it high... ok thats part 8. yippee!
