"Pardon?" I asked, "I thought you just asked me to have your kid!"

"I did." She beamed at me like it was the best idea anyone had ever had.

"What the hell..." I started flustered "I think you may have overlooked a

was the most obvious thing in the world, which of course it was to any sane
person, but Jem was a different matter entirely!

"I want one with someone I love, trust and respect."

"So why pick me?!"

She rolled her eyes at me.

"You really have no idea do you?"

"Scuse me?" What the hell was she talking about? I wanted to find out.

"When I said I love you," She started "I mean I LOVE you." She smiled and
looked into my eyes. Then it registered what she had said...... HOLY SHIT!

"But....er.....how.....um...." I spluttered.

She moved closer to me and wrapped her arms around my neck.

"You talk to much" She said as she kissed me. Her tonuge played around my
lips. I don't know if it was the drink or what but I opened my mouth and

Suddenly my eyes snapped opened and I looked at her. I pushed her away from

"I'll have to think about it. I'll have to ask Nick."

"Ok." She nodded "You need to think...... ok."

"Can we just forget it tonight?" I asked, hoping to resurrect something of
this evening.

"Sure."

We walked out into the crowded bar and made our way to our table. I felt the
hugest feeling of comfort come over me when I spotted Nick. My head was
pounding and I just wanted to be near him.
We couldn't do any public affection thing but just to be with him would be
enough. I brushed my hand along his thigh as I sat down. He smiled at me and
leaned in and wispered in my ear.

"I can't wait to get you back to the hotel!"

The partying lasted through the night and well into the next morning. By the
time we left the club the sun was coming up again and heralding a new day of
hetic filming. Also the boys had a magazine interview
sceduled for today. After Jem had met Hayden she could do nothing but talk
about him, but I was noticing something strange about her behaviour. First
she had practiacally, and physically, thrown herself at

Nick and I wearily pushed open the door to our hotel room and procceded to
collapse on our bed. I didn't want to move. I was content to lay here and
let the world fall around my ears. I just didn't care. I had a great night
with the man I was now convinced I would spend the rest of my days with and
we were going to the most beautiful city in the world tomorrow.

"We dont have to find a way." I rolled on to my back and stared at the
celling "Jem wants me to have hers."

Nick laughed; "She doesn't seem the sprog carrying kind!"

"She's a complicated girl...... woman." I once more looked him in the eye.

The rest of the interviews went much the same way, now that Nick had
admitted seeing someone that seemed to be all the interviewers wanted to

The shoot that day was pretty horendious as the weather worsened and the
rain started pelting the shore. It didn't matter though. I had enough

The crew packed away the equiptment and things we'd been using. With the

ready for the night of film watching.

The guys and I arrived at the theater where the film was being shown. It was
