Date: Wed, 29 Dec 1999 10:42:56 EST From: SkiFree0300@aol.com Subject: Celebrity, To Be Loved By Fame, Part 1, Chapter1 Hey all you guys out there. Nice to see you. This is the first story I have ever written, and it just happens to be about my favorite BSB, Nick Carter. I just started writing, so go easy on me. Enjoy the first part, and I will keep more coming if ya'll like it. : ) This story is fiction and not about the true sexuality of Nick Carter or any member of BSB ... as far as I know. TO BE LOVED BY FAME "Thank you for flying American Arlines with service to Denver. If you are continuing the flight to San Fransico, there will be a 2 hour layover in the Denver Airport. If you are awaiting a connecting flight, proceed to gate 1A for Los Angeles, gate 8C for Seattle, gate 3G for Dallas, or gate 7A for Portland. Thank you again for flying American Airlines" "Oh great. Denver, here I come," I groaned. I tried to stretch my back, but all I could get was a series of pops and cracks. What am I going to do with that two hour layover? My stomache grumbled. OK, so you've decided for me. Let me introduce myself. My name is Devon Michael Anderson. I'm 17, going on 18 in a week, and I am 5'11, blond hair, and deep blue eyes. I only weigh 150 pounds, because I'm not really muscled. I play basketball for my college, but over the summer, I never to anything to keep my body in shape. Some people comment on my thin physique, and I'm not sure whether to take that as a compliment or an insult ; - ) . . . Oh, and I'm 100% gay. I don't hold with all this bi stuff. Either your one or the other, and I'm definitely not straight. **beep beep beep** I heard my cell phone ring, so I picked up. "Hello," I said "Hey Dev" "Oh, hey Sheri. I didn't know if you were gong to call or not. What's up?" (Sheri is my absolute best friend) "Oh, not much, ya know. Same old stuff." "Guess what I'm going to do in a week?" "I dunno Dev, your not a very predictable person." "I'm gonna go see the Backstreet Boys live in San Fransisco." "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! Why didn't you tell me, you asshole." "Hah. That's what you get for being rude to your best friend." "Well, I hope you get to meet Nick. I know he's been your dream for the past, hmmm. . . .3 years?" "Yeah, shove it Sheri. I know that, don't rub it in." "Well, sorry Dev, but I have to jet. I'll see you when you get back babe." "Ok Sheri. It was great to get to talk to you. I'll phon- " Just then, the airplane dropped in altitude abruptly. "Sheri?" "Still here Dev." "S-Sheri. Our plane is c-crashing. Look, I love you babe. Look out for me if I'm hurt." "DEV. Don't hang up. Talk to me. I want to make sure your alive." "I love you Sher. Don't ever quit hoping." The plane took another dive. Suddenly, there was the thick crunching of aluminum, and The seat in front of me smashed into my stomach. The last memory I had was hearing Sheri's voice crying my name and then everything went black. "Sir. . . . Sir. .Sir" I looked up. There was a flight attendent above me. "Sir, I'm sorry to wake you up, but you and I are just about the only people left alive on the plane. The captain's dead, and we're in the mountains about 20 miles out of Denver. Can you do me a favor?" she asked. "Yeah, um sure. What do you need." I grunted wincing in pain. "Could you go around and try to identify some of the other people? That would be a big help. Oh, and if any of them are alive and in a good condition, try to get them to safety." She said. "OK, ma'm. I'll do my best." I said "Oh, and sir. . . ." she said. "Yes?" I replied. "Your going to need this." She said handing me a hankerchief. "Thanks," I said as I placed the cloth over my nose. I walked through the charred aisle and looked for anyone who was alive. The inside of the cabin looked like a terrorist bomb had exploded. I walked throught the shattered bulkhead into first class. Wow. It thought. This section had it the worst. I looked at the side of the plane which was caved in. Then I noticed him. He was lying face down in a pool of blood, but he looked intact from here. I walked over to him and turned him over. He was a guy of about 19 or 20. He had the most beautiful face on earth, and the deepest blue eyes I had ever seen. He was pretty tall, and had long blond hair caked with blood. He had a huge gash on his right arm, but no damage to any other part. I shook him. No response. I looked for his carry-on luggage, and all I could find was a bag with the name Nick on it. "H-hello?" Nick said, blood dribbling out the side of his mouth. "Um, hi. I'm Devon, and besides you, me and a flight attendent, we're all that's left of the people on the plane. "Neat, I mean, um. . . Can you put something around my arm?" he asked. "Sure." I said, mesmorized by his beauty. I was shocked into reality as he coughed up more blood. "Excuse me, but I think you might have internal bleeding. I looked down to his shirt, and realized that it was soaked in blood. "If you don't mind, I said," as I lifted up his shirt. There was a huge bloody mark down his stomach. I blanched. "Hold on a sec," I said and ripped off my shirt. I tore a strip off, and wrapped it around his middle to stop the bleeding, and wrapped another section around his arm. "Look. Stay here. I need to go look for other people." "OK, but don't leave me to long," he said cracking a weak smile. I walked down the aisle checking for people who were still living. Suddenly, my cell phone rang. It was Sheri. "Sheri, thank god you called. I'm alright, but most of the people on this plane aren't. You need to call EMS. NOW!! There's a guy who really needs some help," I said all at once. "Dev. . . I'm so glad you're alive. Oh, honey. . . I was so worried. Look where are you?" she blurted. "Um, about 20 miles east of Denver in the forest on some kind of foothills. Look. . it's important that they know that a large plane crahshed, and there are over 190 people dead and the few that are living are in serious condition," I said. "Ok honey. I'll hang up so I can call right now. I love you so much Dev, and I never want you to fly again," she said, starting to tear up. "Ok babe, I'll talk to you later," I said and hung up. Shortly, the wail of sirens reached my ears, and I sighed. I walked back over to Nick, and threw his arm around my shoulder. He braced himself on me, and we walked over to a waiting ambulance. "Sir. You'll have to leave now. To go with a crash victim, you have to be family," the ambulance driver said. "Look. Let him come with me. He saved my life. The least I can do is to let him come along," Nick said. "Alright sir. Step up and ride with Mr. ah, ah. . .," the EMS guy blushed. "Johnston, sir," Nick said quickly. "Alright Mr. Johnston. You need some help quick, so lie back and don't try to go anywhere," the EMS guy said quickly. The ride to the Hospital seemed to take forever, and once we got there, Nick was whisked away. I stood outside his door for what seemed hours, and finally the doctor came out. "Mr. Anderson. Nick will be fine. Other than some tears to the tissue and some bad bruises, he's fine. He does have internal bleeding, and we have managed to fix that problem too. I'm glad you found him when you did, because anymore time without medical assistance could have meant death," he looked at me with a smile. "Is it alright if I go in and see him?" I asked. "Sure. He said he wanted to see you also, so go ahead and go in," the doctor motioned to the door. "Nick? Nick?" I asked as I walked in. "Dev, is that you?" a weak voice came from the hospital bed. I looked at Nick's beautiful face, and instantly fell in love with him. "Uh, it's me. How are you feeling?" I asked. "Well, other than some pain, fine. I really owe you," he said. "Hey, no prob. I was just around at the right time," I said. "Excuse me, but we need this man out now. I need to speak to Nick alone please," a voice came from behind me. Three men in suits came through the door and sat next to Nick's bed. What do these men want with Nick? "Dev, come back in please," said Nick. "I'm sorry but he needs to sta-. . ." the man said. "No, he needs to be here," said Nick. "OK, that's your choice," said the man. I heard them talking for awhile, and the word dance came up in every sentence. I bet Nick's a dancer. Cool, I thought. "Alright Mr. Carter. I need you to make a quick recovery. That concert won't wait," the man said. Oh my god. This guy is Nick Carter. What didn't I see it before? The blond hair and beautiful face. . . . I'm such an idiot. "Um, Dev?" asked Nick? "Yeah Nick," I said tears coming down my face. Why had I not noticed? I could have been much nicer. Or at least more respectful. "Dev, look. I know it's hard for you to accept that I'm who I am, but I have a huge favor to ask you. I know I'm famous and everything, but It's not true that the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. I would do anything to go back to being able to go places without being screamed at and followed by half of the teenage girls in the whole country. I really would like you to just continue treating me like a regular human, just like you would your best friend," he said looking me with those deep eyes. "Um, Nick, I guess you're right, but It's going to take me awhile to actually think of you as a real person, rather than a picture in some Tean Beet Mag. I know it sounds korny, but I never really thought of you as more of a picture," I said. There, I told the truth, even if the truth costs me Nick as a friend. "I guess your right Devon, but now that this is over, we can just say we're friends," Nick said. "Yup. I guess that's OK. I'm going to leave now, but I guess there's no point in trying to catch another flight," I said grinning. "Why not?" Nick asked me, looking a little puzzled. "Well, I'm headed to San Fransico to see the Backstreet Boys concert, but I guess there might not be one because one of the best Backstreet Boys isn't up to dancing," I said looking at him with a smile. "Hey, that's sweet. Look, if you stay with me `til I feel better, we can rent a car and drive there together," he said. OMG. . . did I just get an offer to spend a week with Nick Carter in a confined space? My dream come true. "Sure Nick, I'd love it," I replied. **beep beep beep** My cell phone rang again. "Sheri hon. You'll never guess where I am. . . ," I said to her. "Um, in bed with Nick Carter?" she said. "Just about. Sitting next to a hospital bed with Nick Carter, actually," I said smiling to myself. "UH-huh, and I'm Brad Pitt, so fuck me," she said. "No really Sheri. He was on the plane that crashed, and I saved his life," I said, a little upset that she didn't believe me. "Yeay right. Let me talk to him," she said. "Hey Nick. . . would you mind talking to my best friend? She doesn't belive you're you," I said. "Anything for you Dev," he said, as he shot me a sexy smile. "Hello. . . who do I have the pleasure of talking to," Nick said into the phone. All I heard was a piercing shriek from the phone, and then Sheri's voice, 4 octaves too high saying NICK ITS NICK ITS NICK I LOVE YOU NICK. Oh boy, I thought. So she's having a heart attack. They talked for awhile, and Nick gave the phone back to me. "Hey Sher," I said. "Dev, I'm sorry I didn't believe you. That is sooooo cool. I think you might get some, cuz my gay-dar is going off," she blustered. "OK Sher, but remember what that could do for his career as a singer, and mine as an actor," I said. "And mine as your lover," said Nick as he kissed me on the lips in the middle of the Hospital room. I dropped the phone and looked as if someone had just told me I had aids. "Dev, Dev?" Nick asked, starting to tear up. TBC. . . . . . I'll try to post more soon, and sorry there was no sex in this part. I thought it was a little early for that, and this story is just getting started. I'll try to put up the new part soon. E-mail your comments to me at SkiFree0300@aol.com
