I wanted to say right here that I appreciate those of you who did email me with your comments on the story, thank you SO much. I really loved opening the email and actually having some. Was a very new experience. Also if any of you are reading this please check out these: the one, nsync and the vamps, Ryan and lance, nsync lance and Jc, and a lot of others that are eluding my immediate grasp. Another thing. In this chapter I'm bouncing around a real lot. I have it split into little segments, each with anywhere from 1 to 3 chars. Sorry if anyone gets confused. You can yell at me in an email or, I'm also on AOL Imer, as Firesong18. Ok. Normal thing here. This story is NOT REAL! Though I severely wish it was not only for the cuties but also for the aspect of having a genie. But still, if you aren't old enough to read this than you shouldn't be, and if anyone of either of these groups IS reading this, email me and tell me if you want your character to do anything...or anyone * grins. * As usual the email is firesong17@yahoo.com feel free to email. Also I hope to do this as more than a once a month story. GADS of free time this term. YEAH! Chapter 4. Nick Nick watched Brian's retreating back go into their suite and slam his door shut. He had been totally unable to talk to Brian since the night before, when he had tried to seduce him. He still didn't know what had gone wrong. He sat on the couch and once again went over the night: Brian had been staring at his half naked body, he hadn't responded to Nick at all for a few minutes, he had grown hard when Nick started stripping. Than Nick kissed him and there had been no response. The look in his eyes afterwards had been one of total fear. Not fear of being discovered, everyone was open to everyone in the bands...so what on earth had scared Brian? Nick sighed and looked at Brian's door, thinking about how to get Brian to talk to him. Even if they never had sex, Nick needed Brian in so many ways. He was his brother, best friend, and he felt, only real friend in the group. Kevin was always wrapped in business, A.J. seemed to always be somewhere inside of himself, or out shopping, and Howie wouldn't so much as give him or Brian the time of day. Brian and Nick had always been close, from the beginning they had just clicked. That was one of the reasons that they were sharing a suite, they could be counted on not to get on each other's nerves, or the nerves of the others'. Tears rolled down Nick's and he was powerless stop them. He saw Brian back through the early days in the group, always smiling. Saw the day that he had come out to the group and Brian had almost hit Howie to shut him up about how disgusting Nick was, how Brian had than come out, picked Nick up and carried him to their room, where he had gently put Nick down, and just laid with him until he cried himself to sleep. Now Brian hated him... That thought sent Nick into spasms. His stomach clenched, and his throat closed up. He couldn't speak, he couldn't breathe, all he could do was cry, and the one person that could possibly hear him, as far as Nick was concerned, wouldn't give a rat's ass. He wished that Alec were his genie. He'd wish that last night had never happened, than he'd just have his Brian back...just the two of them again, and he wouldn't have totally screwed it up... The tears poured down Nick's face like twin rivers. His eyes were pure pink, and his face was blotchy and scrunched up from emotional and physical pain. He couldn't stand it. He had to get out of here. He quickly ran to the bathroom, dried his eyes, splashed cold water on his face, and ran out into the city, to find someone, anyone, that would, even for a moment, give comfort to him. If sex was what was needed to get someone, it was a small price; besides, sex was fun. Brian Brian slammed the door to his room and sat on the bed fuming. Could Nick have been any more obvious in his lust for 'Alec'? Could he have stared any harder? Maybe he should have just stripped him there and had sex with Alec. Lord knows he was obvious enough about it. In some ways Brian couldn't blame Nick. Alec was HOT! Perfect hair, perfect eyes, and perfect body, definitely a drool machine his voice was deep and sexy, and at the same time it was a voice that could talk you to sleep and just soothe away your fears. But there had been that incident with Justin when he had interrupted Alec. It had seemed almost like Alec was about to smash Justin right down to the molecular level, and there was nothing that Brian had seen, or that Alec had said that would indicate that Alec didn't in fact have the power to do so. It was, Brian realized, those eyes. They were normally a blue that was so intense you couldn't seem to look at it very long, but when he had stared at Justin they became a black that seemed to swallow all the light from the room, and than with Jc they had become so light, almost clear, and what he had said had made Jc almost cry. Brian couldn't take this emotional roller coaster anymore. Why on earth was he even reacting like this? Nick had been on so many sexual escapades that it wasn't funny, he would often tell Brian all about them. From Drew of 98degrees, to Brittany Spears, and back and forth, Nick had been with all of them, and Brian loved listening to the stories. He kept hoping for the chance to be in one of the stories, either as a threesome, or just with Nick, but each time the opportunity for a threesome came up he declined, and than there was last night. Brian still didn't know what on earth had happened. Finally Nick was coming on to him in a sexual, and a real way. Not just a joking around like they had done in the past, but a real honest to goodness come on. Seeing him standing there in only his boxers, had excited Brian beyond belief, and than when he had stripped Brian couldn't control it, he had almost cum in his pants, but than Nick had kissed him, and fear just grabbed Brian by the throat. Brian had always promised himself that he would never have "casual sex" that only with someone he loved, and especially on the first time. Though he had had the opportunity for multiple relationships with both guys and girls, he had resisted, and waited...than Nick happened and almost shattered Brian's promise without knowing it. He couldn't stand it. He walked around the room towards his stereo and turned on the damn thing's CD player. He almost died when their "Back to your Heart" poured into the room: It's not that I can live without you, It's just that I don't even want to try, Every night I dream about you, Ever since the day you said goodbye. If I wasn't such a fool, Right now I'd be holding you, There's nothing that I wouldn't do, Baby if I only knew. The words to say, The road to take, To find the way back to your heart. What can I do, To get to you, To find the way back to your heart? I don't know how it got so crazy, But I'll do anything to set things right. Cause your love is SO amazing, Baby you're the best thing in my life. Let my prove my love is real, And make you feel the way I feel, I promise I would give the world, If only you would tell me girl(guy), The words to say, The road to take, To find the way back to your heart, What can I do, To get to you, To find the way back to your heart? Give me one more chance, Give my love to you, Cause no one on this earth, Loves you like I do, Tell me, The words to say The road to take To find the way back to your heart What can I do, To get to you, To find the way back to your heart? I'd turn back time, To make you mine, And find a way back to your heart, I'd beg and bleed, Fall to my knees, To find a way back to your heart, The words to say, The road to take, To find the way back to your heart. What can I do, To get to you, To find the way back to your heart? Back to your heart. Brian was on his knees by this point, crying softly," No, I don't love him. I just got confused." Where was that damn genie anyway? To erase last night, or these feelings he'd do anything. Nick was his best friend, and would only ever BE his best friend. Restaurant Kevin couldn't sleep. It had been his idea that the rest of the guys should all go back to their rooms to sleep on the events of the morning, but he was totally unable to sleep. He had been tossing and turning for about an hour now and felt totally awake, and hungry. He debated calling room service, but than decided that he would rather get out of the room for a bit. That decision made he crawled out of the warm bed, and walked into the bathroom. Once there he dropped the robe he had been wearing and looked at his reflection of himself standing only in boxers. "Oh yeah Kevin m'boy. You'd really turn a lot of head looking like this." His eyes were bloodshot from lack of sleep, his hair hung like limp straw over his afore mentioned bloodshot eyes. His cheeks looked sallow, and he couldn't seem to stand up straight. "Yep...those girls would just love you like this..." He sighed and turned away from the old man in the mirror, and reached out to turn on the shower. He jumped back startled and looked down at himself soaking wet. He looked up and saw the showerhead on. "Kevin...how many times must we do this before you realize that when you turn off the two knobs for water, you have to turn the one for the shower head to," he chastised himself, and reached forward and turned off the shower, adjusted the temperature, stripped off his soaking boxers and stepped into the steaming water. Twenty minutes later he stepped back out and actually felt alive. He dried himself off with one of those real fluffy hotel towels, wrapped it around his waist and left the bathroom. "Ok...what do you want to wear?" Kevin laughed at himself. He always talked to himself out loud, always had since a child. He always got weird stares for it to...still did. Oh well. He settled on an outfit and headed out of the room. He walked towards the elevators and he could have sworn he saw a shock of blond hair in the one car before the doors closed. "Nah. Couldn't be Nick, he probably went right back to sleep, wonder what's up with him? He seemed so out of it earlier, and now that he thought about it so had Brian. Kevin knew all about Nick's habits. He didn't reprimand Nick as long as Nick made sure it was mutual sex, and that he didn't do anything risky. Kevin's thoughts broke off as the elevator arrived and he stepped in and pushed the floor for the lobby. He leaned against the wall, thinking some more of this morning. The cracks of the thunder had shaken the whole floor, he was still surprised that the hotel hadn't called up, or sent anyone up to investigate. The elevator door dinged and he stepped out into the lobby. Luckily they had managed to actually keep their location a secret so there weren't hundreds of fans screaming in the lobby, or right outside the door. He loved the fans, but it was nice to just walk, and not have to run to get to the restaurant. It was a nice change of pace. Upon entering the restaurant he noticed Chris, Joey, and A.J. sitting there talking. He was unsure what to do until Chris looked over, saw him, and motioned him over to sit with them. "Hey Kev. What's up?" "Not much Chris. How about you? Joey? A.J.?" "I'm good. We were just talking about Alec." "Yeah. Like how cool is that?" Joey asked with a glint in his eyes. Kevin looked down at the table and saw each had a piece of paper that had at the top "things I want." "What's that?" A.J. looked at Kevin and than at Joey a little sheepishly, "These? Oh they are a list, Joey thought that we should make up a list of things that we would want Alec to give us. You know, organize our thoughts and stuff." "But the lists are empty. Why?" Joey looked at Kevin and with sincere honesty asked, "Kevin, what on earth could we wish for that we can't just get by ourselves? I mean, Alec said that he could grant us anything we wanted. The question is what exactly do we want that we can't get on our own? We have the money to buy just about anything we want, so what is there?" Kevin looked at Joey. "That's...that's a good question. I never thought of it like that, but that's why I suggested we take time before just barraging Alec with wishes. Maybe we could wish for a relaxing day off?" Chris looked at Joey, who looked at A.J. who looked at Kevin. "Kev, somehow I doubt that even Alec has the power to get management to give us a complete day off now." A.J. said that with such a straight face that for a moment Kevin didn't know how to react. Than what he had said permeated his mind. He started laughing hysterically, catching the attention of others in the restaurant, but he didn't care. It was funny! Justin & Jc Justin stared the box that was across from him. It showed images of people and places from around the world, and from another world called "Hollywood." The image was of a show called "Family Matters," and was currently showing the Winslow's, and Steve and Stefan in Paris. The storyline normally would have held Justin's attention, and caused him to laugh at the antics of Steve Urkel, and the situations he always found himself in, however today they were just images. Images without sound as Justin had long since hit the mute button and silenced them. He couldn't escape the memory of Alec's eyes. When he had interrupted him earlier, and Alec's eyes had changed, and Justin looked into them he felt something he could barely comprehend. The certain feeling that he faced utter annihilation. He could somehow see to the end of eternity in those eyes, and inside them was a power of such cold animosity that it had shaken him to the core. He could still feel those eyes on him. In that brief instant that they had focused on him, Justin was certain that at any moment, there was going to be a smoking pile of ash where he had been standing. He turned his head and looked out the window at the skyline of Charlotte. The light coming through the window cast a sheen across the room, making it look almost like a dream. "Jesus Christ Justin...you gotta get over this. Lance is his master, and there isn't any way on earth that Lance would ever let anything hurt you, especially something, or in this case someone, that he has complete control over." His attempts to bolster his courage went unheeded. He couldn't stand this. He had been sitting here for around 2 - 3 hours, staring at a silent TV, and thinking of nothing but Alec's eyes. In a fit of sheer anger he threw the remote at the floor and practically ran out of the room in a direction that he had no idea where he was going until he was knocking on a door. He didn't know which door it was, that is until a sleepy, and scantily clad Jc opened the door. Justin's eyes immediately and easily scanned the contours of his friends body. He had done it for years and it never seemed to stop surprising him. His eyes traveled the length of Jc's washboard stomach, pecs, strong neck, and came to rest on Jc's beautiful blue eyes. "Just man, what's up?", Jc asked yawningly. Jc looked into Justin's eyes and saw something that he hadn't seen in a long time, a scared little boy that was looking to him, asking him to fix everything that was wrong. Needed him to be there and make all the "bad things" go away. Without thinking Jc pulled Justin into the room, closed the door and immediately held the young man in a powerful hug. In moments Justin was crying on his shoulder, his body wracked by sobs, his breathing shallow and uneven. "Just...man...what's wrong? What happened?" Justin pulled back a bit and stared into Jc's eyes. "Jc, I have never in my life been so scared as I was this morning. When I interrupted Alec and he looked at me with those eyes, I saw myself just vanish from existence. I could feel his anger, and I don't mean that I knew he was angry I mean I could feel it. He seemed to radiate such menace, and such anger that it hit me like a tidal wave. I felt like a deer in a hunter's site, only seconds from death..." By this point Justin had dissolved once again into tears, his words lost under the sobs. Jc held on, wondering about Alec as well. He had damn near made him cry this morning, but he held out, he was used to being the strong one, but this time it had affected Justin. He was going to have to go talk to Lance, or more specifically Alec. That is, talk, once Justin was calmed down, or asleep. Lance After everyone had left, Lance followed Kevin's advice, and went back to sleep, but his dreams were not what he would consider normal. They were filled with images of places he had never been, people he had never met, and things he had never done. It seemed that he was being barraged by questions that were easy to answer but not known the reason they were being asked. Yet when the question was asked, he didn't answer in words, the dream changed to an image of the answer, the answer was acted out, and than when the questioner was satisfied it would ask the next. Knock! Knock!! Lance bolted up, sweat pouring down his face. What had happened? Knock! Knock! "Uhh...come in?" The doorknob turned and Jc peaked his head around the corner. "Lance can I talk to you?" "Sure Jc. What about?" Lance slid out from the bed, and put on a T-shirt, and walked over to his friend, gestured at the couch and sat down with Jc. "I'm worried about Justin. He came to my room about an hour ago, practically crying his eyes out. He was scared shitless that Alec was going to kill him." "Why would he think that?" "You saw what happened when Justin interrupted Alec earlier with the eyes. He is totally positive that Alec was a hair from killing him. If it's all right I'd like to talk to Alec." Lance nodded his head. "Ok. Seems like a good idea." Lance looked down at the ring. "Alec, you wanna come out? Jc needs to talk to you." Nothing happened. Lance looked up in confusion. "Maybe you have to sing to get him out again?" "Oh yeah! DUH! Ok...just let me think." Lance once again begins humming the familiar chords, and like the last time, the words poured into his head, and than out of his mouth, "I sing to the one, the bringer of joy, I sing for him to hear. I call you from your long lost kingdom, to aid in banishing fear. The night abounds with dangerous minions; they fill my heart with fear. I summon you, lord of wishes to wish me out of here." Once again the ring began to glow, only this time, no wind, no lightning. Just a stream of little lights emerged forth, gathering at one spot, and than with an almost audible pop, and a flash of light, Alec stood there, smiling. "What can I do for you masters?" Howie Sitting on the balcony drinking coffee Howie slowly sipped at the hot beverage, his mind whirling with ideas. A genie...a giver of wishes, it could grant him anything he, or any of the others desired. Thinking of the others Howie's lip curled at the thought of a faggot like Lance receiving such a gift. He would probably wish for something like having any guy that he wanted at any time. A faggot would do something like that. They don't have any morals after all. He shook his head remembering when Nick had come out to them, and than Brian had threatened to physically hurt him, himself not Nick. Brian, the meek and mild one, the one that was the most religious, who would rather use words than physical violence, had actually threatened to hit him, and than proceeded to come out as well. Howie put his mug down, as the memories made it taste bitter. Faggots surrounded him: Brian, Nick, Justin, Lance, and Jc. Half of them were gay, and of the other half Howie, was alone in his hate for the fags. Joey was the closest to him, and even he had decided to join the friends of the Friends of Dorothy. In one smooth motion, Howie stood and entered his room, closing the door to the balcony behind him. He had plans to make, and besides he had been an actor, how hard could this role possibly be? Ok. That's chapter 4. Comments, suggestions, problems? Email me at firesong17@yahoo.com. I hope that no one had any problems with the way the chapter bounced around. I have to say this, writing the bad guy, in this case, Howie, is HARD! It makes my head hurt to think that way.
