I said as I jumped to the station from our ship. Despite the lack of speed from the anti gravity of space I made it to the door and began to use the laser cutter to break down the door. I moved out of the way as the door burst open from all of the built up oxygen. We were hired by Von Doom Industries to extract some possibly mutated plant samples after the first cosmic storm event that took place a few days prior. Victor sent us up as soon as he could due to the fact of another cosmic storm enhanced by solar energy making it's way back to the station. If the plants survived then they surely wouldn't survive a solar blast along with the cosmic storm. The storm was so large that you could see it from the distance that it was in, but there was no way of measuring how far or how large the storm was. I made inside the station to see the walls thick with foliage and vines. Their was this sense of gravity in the room, no doubt the oxygen being made from the plants. "The readings are amazing. The plants are making oxygen at high levels that it would be dafe enough to take off your helmet, but the air could still be toxic so leave it on." George said through the microphone. "I may need some help." I said in pure wonder and curiosity at the large pinkish purple flowers that sat in the middle of the main station room. When I flashed the light over the plants they let out a hissing sound and smacked the flashlight out of my hand before grabbing it and crushing it. "I'll definitely need some help. The plants have become sentient and are protecting themselves." "Cameron, get out of there. I'm picking up high levels of toxin in the air around you. One leak into your suit and you will die." George said nervously. "But the mission." I said not wanting to give up the money so easily. "I'm not leaving without at least one sample." "Damn it! He's not listening. We have to go in." George said to Mikhail and Perry, but I could hear him on the microphone. I walked over the large vines that littered all over the floor, trying not to step on any of them. I was afraid of the plant trying to attack, before I had the chance to cut off the flower so I made sure to be as quiet as possible. When I finally got to the flower, Georgie, Mikhail and Perry barged in not even trying to be careful. "Wait!" I cried before the plant began to defend itself. I felt a sharp pain of an almost blade as a thorn pierced my arm and caused me to bleed. I tried to run, but was whipped by the plant from the back. I could feel the cold of the air as my suit was torn in the back. If it wasn't for the gravity made by the plants then I would've been ripped to shreds by the vacuum of space through the back of my suit. "Get that thing under control." George yelled orders to Mikhail and Perry who were grabbed by the plant's vines and brought to the flower that opened up and expanded to a large mouth with spike like teeth. They pulled out flamethrowers and began to fire at the plant, but it seemed to have a coating of some sort that kept it from being burned. I took all of the energy I could muster and grabbed George by the hand before running out of the station to watch as the fuel tank from the flamethrowers explode and take the station with it. We almost made it to our ship when the cosmic storm finally reached us and enveloped us in a heated embrace. Through blurred vision I saw George being vaporized by the fiery solar energy that followed the cosmic storm. Call it lack of faith, but I truly believed that I had just died. I couldn't feel anymore pain, just this feeling of peace. "Sir, we have reports that the Von Doom Station had just been destroyed by an unknown source. It happened about the same time that the second cosmic storm occurred." A Shield agent said reporting to acting director and chief of Shield, Colonel Nick Fury. "Is it possible that the storm vaporized it?" Nick Fury asked smoking his cigar. "It's a possibility, sir...." The agent said before he was interrupted by an uninterested Nick Fury. "Good. Now let's get on more important things like the web slinger and the trigger happy multi billionaire running around in an overpowered trashcan." Nick Fury said turning his attention away. "I think this might be important sir. It appears something living has come from the explosion and crash landed here on earth. The coordinates are a little sketchy, but we were able to track it to Kansas." The agent said nervously at the pissed look Nick Fury gave him. He literally bit straight through the cigar and spat out the piece in his mouth in anger walking away fully expecting the agent to clean it up. "Sir..." The nervous agent asked as he quickly picked up the cigar remains and went back to work. "Do you think he is okay?" I could hear a strong male voice ask. Even through the empty void I could hear perfectly and with a clarity I never had. I could hear the rumble of a car engine a distance away and a worried dog's nearly silent whimpers of panic and fear. "I don't know. I'd say no, but he doesn't have a scratch on him." I heard a higher male voice say with a slight twang to his voice. "Maybe he's a superhero! Like Spiderman or Ironman." I could hear a high pitched male child's voice say with excitement. "Hush, Tommy." The higher adult male voice said. "I think he's coming too." The first voice said as my eyes slowly opened and adjusted to the world around me. I was surprised by the clarity of my sight and I noticed I could smell the earthy dirt and the dog and the fuel inside the car some distance away. "Do you come in peace?" The thicker voice asked coming from a tall buff man who just smelled of sweat and dirt. He was tanned from long days in the hot sun. He had quite a scruffy, but cute face. Brown eyes and black curly hair. The smaller man was almost the same, but had blonde hair and blue eyes and a clean shave. They looked at each other and back at me waiting for me to reply. I looked around and I noticed that I was in a large crater in a corn field. "I come in peace. Where is here?" I asked confused as I slowly got up. Flashes of what happened went through my head, I felt bad for George and Mikhail and Perry, but it's over with. I did really know them so I couldn't bring myself to shed a tear. Why was George vaporized and I wasn't? Was I out of the solar waves range? I dusted nyself off and noticed that I was just about naked. There was only a scrap of my suit left that was covering my groin. "Don't suppose you have some clothes I can borrow?" I asked embarrassed. "Back at the house. Come on space man." The big guy said leading the way and helping the smaller guy out of the crater. It didn't take an expert to tell that they were together. I followed them to the truck and got in the back with the dog who looked terrified of me, th whole ride to their house the little boy...Tommy, kept asking me questions about if I knew this person or that person. "I'm Tommy, by the way. These are my dads. Shilo and Rodger." Tommy said excited. "Come on. I'll show you around." Tommy said trying to drag me towards the house, but couldn't even move me. That's strange, I don't even feel the pull. "Come on you big palucka!" Tommy said as I began to follow him. I grabbed the door handle to open the door and accidentally ripped the door clean off it's hinges. "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to do that." I said covering my mouth surprised at the feat that I just did. I stared at the lighter than a feather door in surprise. The cosmic storm did more than just enhance my senses...my strength has definitely been affected. "It's alright. Accidents happen. Just please be more careful." Rodger the smaller guy said as he helped me to get some clothes. I went to the bathroom and took a quick shower. I dried off and changed into the long sleeve white shirt and overalls and tennis shoes. I looked at myself in the mirror and noticed my appearance changed drastically. I stood at 6'2 now with a lean toned body, natural golden tan and crystal clear sky blue eyes. Perfect straight white teeth and full kissable pink lips. It's strange...I always wanted to be beautiful, and now that I was...I wanted to be back to normal. I now realized that I was fine the way that I was. My short wavy blonde hair was now a long wavy cherry red that reached my upper back. I didn't mind long hair, but I didn't want it so long. I grabbed a pair of scissors to cut it, but the scissors couldn't cut it. It's like my hair was made of steel or something. It got to the point where I accidentally crushed the scissors. I tossed them in the trash and focused looking at the toilet and screamed in fear as red beams shot out from my eyes and destroyed the toilet. My eyes began to sting from the heat. "Hey, Spaceman what was that sound." It was Shilo. "I...uh..nothing. Just a minute." I said closing the pipe by twisting it. I don't know anything about pipes so I'm praying to God that it doesn't back up and explode. "I'm okay." I said as I guided him back to the kitchen where Tommy was eating a sandwhich. It was about 9:30 at night now. I couldn't help, but blush at my stomach growling. Tommy laughed thinking it was funny. "Why are you all wet?" Tommy asked with a smile. "Shower." I said playing it off. " Hungry?" Rodger asked making me a sandwich and handing me a beer. "I don't drink." I refused the drink handing it to Shilo who chugged it down. Rodger handed me a glass of milk and I quickly ate. "We'll as much as we enjoyed your company, we have to send you on your way" "Aw! But papa!" Tommy cried crossing his arms. "That's alright Tommy. They're right. I need to get going. I have to get to New York City to find out my condition." I said before shaking both of their hands and giving Tommy a hug I left the house and began my long trip to New York City. "What the fuck is this?" I heard Shilo yell, realizing he must've saw the toilet I ran at blinding speeds, I relaxed as I realized that I was running so fast that I was a blur. "I'm here at the crash site. Subject is mobile. There are truck tire markings. Tracking now active." The Shield agent said before getting back on to his high tech motorcycle. New York City was so confusing to navigate around when you've been gone for a long time. I had to ask directions a few times, but I made it to the Von Doom Industries building. I felt the familiar sense of sickness as I saw the large metal statue in front of the building. The thing along with the building was a fricken eye sore. Naturally, because I didn't have my identification with me I had to go through all this security measures to talk to Victor. "Just give me five minutes." I said to security guard who had his hand on my chest. "I'll give you to the count of three to let go of my chest." I said bitterly which he only smirked and nodded at the other security guards who all smirked as they pulled out batons. "Three." He said preparing his baton. I surprised him when I grabbed it with blinding speed and bent it like a pretzel, handing it back to him. "Do we really need to go through the rest?" I asked as they put their hands up in surrender. I walked passed them and up the stairs, no doubt they would call the police. "Victor!" I called as I found him in his office during a meeting. "Cameron? You're alive? You look amazing for a dead man. The space station...." Victor started surprised that I was alive and standing in front of him. "The storm...it's done something to me. I need your help. I need to know what has been done to me." I said worried as I wasn't sure if this was permanent or if I was going to die soon from all of the built up radiation that I absorbed. "I'm afraid I'm not able to study it right now. I'm too busy taking heat from the partners. Go to Baxter Building and ask for Reed Richards. I'll tell my guards to stand down." Victor said before going back to the meeting. I grabbed a map from a magazine stand without getting caught and followed it to the Baxter Building. It was an impressive building that came complete with a bellhop. His name tag read, "Jimmy.". "I'm looking for Reed Richards. I was told he may be able to help me." I said to Jimmy and he nodded taking me to the elevator. He pressed the top button and waved me off as he went back to his post. When I finally got to the top I didn't know that I was in for the surprise of my life. A big orange stone golem was blocking my way. I couldn't help, but stare at him and even jumped when he irritantly barked a gruff,"What are you looking at pretty boy?" "Nothing. Sorry. I'm looking for Reed Richards." I said nervously. "He's over there." He said pointing at a man with salt and pepper hair and who was wearing a lab coat. "Mr. Richards. I need your help." I said to him and he jumped in surprise. "I'm kind of busy. Can it wait till tomorrow? " He asked walking away from me. I noticed Sue and Johnny Storm talking in hushed tones. They both know that I am gay and Sue and I were roommates during her rebellious period. "Please. I'm kind of freaking out here." I said following him. "We'll if you've seen the news than you would know that we were all kind of preoccupied." He said still not wanting to listen. "Would you just listen!" I yelled with outstretched hands, accidentally firing blasts of red heated energy at chains that were holding a large hover like craft that I grabbed as it just about landed on me. He turned around and looked at me in awe along with the others. "I said it was important." I said setting the craft down in an empty space. "Start from the beginning." Sue said said pulling me to a seat. "We'll after you left I was promoted to the extraction team. Victor sent us up to collect the plant samples to try to understand what happened to you...well us. He said that it needed to be done before the next cosmic storm, because he said that the plants might not make it if they were still alive." I said, but was interrupted by Johnny. "No way! That sucks that you got promoted. I wanted that position." Johnny said with a huff, but silenced his outburst after Sue gave him a look. "Please, continue." Sue said wanting to hear the rest. "Well we got there, but the plants were sentient and attacked us. Killing both Mikhail and Perry. I escaped with George as the station exploded, but he was vaporized by the solar wave that the storm absorbed on it's trip around the sun. What is so strange is that I waz hit by the same wave, I don't understand why I didn't get vaporized too." I said with a sigh feeling like I should've perished along with George and the others. "I'm so sorry that you had to go through that. How did you get back to earth?" Sue asked curiously. "The storm seems to have charged my cells which allowed me to take the fall." I said pressing my lips to a tight line. "From space? I'd say that's impossible, but after what we've been through, I believe anything. " Reed said with a sigh. "I'm afraid you'll have to stay here with us while I can accurately analyze your symptoms." "You mean like live here? I can't live here. I live in Philly." I said getting up from the chair freaking out. "It's only temporary I assure you. You can room with...." "Me," Sue said interrupting Reed who looked flabbergasted. "We were once roommates back in the day. It'll be like old times." She hugged me and had this amused look on her face. "Does he look jealous?" She whispered into my ear which I just nodded. "Alright it's settled. I'll call Victor and he'll have your stuff moved here." Reed said with a sigh realizing that he wasn't going to change her mind. "Good. Let's go. I'll show you around." Sue said as she guided me out of the room, but I could hear Reed talking to Johnny. "I don't trust him." Reed said to Johnny. "You're just saying that because he's sleeping with my sister." Johnny said jokingly knowing that Reed probably didn't pick up that I was gay. "Their together? I thought she was with Victor." Reed said with a sigh of disappointment. "You thought. No she's not with Victor or Cameron. Cameron's gay." Johnny said leaving Reed alone to his thoughts. "Cameron's gay?" Reed asked himself and laughed at how stupid he was acting and the irony of the situation. (That's the first chapter. I hope you like it. Please don't put any pressure to write more. I get writer's block like crazy. There will be times when you won't hear from me for months, but please just stand strong with me. I hope you stick with me for the ride. I plan on making a few stories and might jump from one story to another. So please bare with me.)
