He had arrived at the studios lot a couple hours before they were due to scout out the area and check out his competitors as they arrive. With a notepad in hand, he leaned over the railing and started to jot down notes on his competitors as they arrive. Just as prompt as he was, little David Archuleta arrived just moments later with his father leading the way. They were touring the studios lot or more like studying the studios lot. One look into the fierce eyes of the 17-year-old and David knew that little Archie would be his biggest competitor this season. The boy was dead serious about winning the whole shebang. This was no fuckin' day camp for the boy. This boy was on a mission to win. Next to arrive was Carly Smithson. The woman was gorgeous but was tattooed all over her voluptuous body. With her black leather knee-high boots and straight from head to toe black attire, Carly reminded David of a dominatrix. All she was missing were the whips and chains. As she stepped out of the sleek black sedan, many scurried away, making way for her. And if she didn't look intimidating enough, her husband looked far more menacing with his set of tattoos and body piercing. As it turned out, they two were among the nicest of the bunch when everything was said and done. Many more would arrive over the course of the next couple of hours. There was the blonde and beautiful nanny from Arizona, Brooke White, who never once stopped smiling until it was time for her husband to go and the waterworks began in full force. Ramiele Mullabay was the tiniest of them all, but the girl had the biggest voice of them. Syesha Mercado mirrored Beyonce in every way from the big hair to the glamorous wardrobe to the pretentious attitude. Naturally, the guys arrived later than the girls. Chiekezi Eze came with his mother. Both mother and son had smiles that stretched from ear to ear. The kid was genuinely happy to be here. Michael Johns, who would later become David's closet confidante, pulled in to the studio lots with his lovely wife in the driver's seat. He got out of the car, leaned into the car, and kissed his wife good-bye, before drawing his shades down and walking assertively across the studios lot. He scanned his vicinity much like David was studying all that was around him and decided that David could be a friend more than an enemy. "Michael Johns is my name. What's yours?" "David. David Cook." "Nice to meet you, mate." "Nice to meet you, too." David responded, shaking Michael's hand. He slid the notepad in the back pocket of his jeans. He didn't need the notepad anymore. It seemed like everyone was here and he had written all the observations on all the contestants already with the exception of Michael, which he had mentally noted was one cool son of bitch and if he were to lose to him then David would be okay with that. They were all mingling around now, getting to know each other, passing time, until they were greeted by the notoriously rude Simon Cowell when he strutted down the steps of the studios to check out the new crop of potential victims. "Don't look him in the eye," Michael whispered to him. "He'll kill you." "Thanks for the tip," David said, nodding his head as he popped in a stick of gum. There was nothing cooler than a guy chewing gum in the face of authority. Simon walked and up and down the line of contestants, glancing to the right to assess the boys and to the left to appreciate the girls. It didn't take long for him to start barking rude and obnoxious comments, his first victim being the kid who looked like an anorexic version of Leif Garrett. A male contestant who looked awfully familiar with a bandana wrapped around his head stepped out of the crowd and defended the boy only to whimper his way back into the line of contestants like a beaten dog. Simon kept pacing back and forth, eyeing every contestant, running his fingertips through the list of contestants when he stopped at the end of the line where David was boldly leaning against the rail. "I can tell already that I don't like you and your attitude, kid," Simon hissed. He whipped out the list of contestants, again, running his fingertips across the list one more time to confirm his suspicion that one contestant was missing. That contestant would now be the lucky recipient of Simon's wrath if he didn't show up right this moment, just seconds away from the clock striking 3 o'clock for the official start of the American Idol orientation. Simon kept glancing at his watch, the sun light causing a glint that blinded him momentarily. When he turned around after shielding his eyes, a flaming red Infiniti drove up the studios lot. The car halted just inches away from Simon's planted feet. The backseat door swung opened and first one and then a second pointed black leather boot stepped out onto the ground followed by distressed designer jeans clad legs and thighs. David had to take a swig of the cold water from his water bottle when his eyes danced along the uncomfortably tight crotch area to the well defined pecs and arms hidden underneath a muscled gray ¾ length t-shirt from the Red line at Gap. His eyes wandered further up, but made a bee-line south when the boy turned around and bent over to retrieve his guitar. Tight, round, pert ass in the air, the boy stretched across the backseat for his guitar and carryon. David gulped, dropping the water bottle to the ground as the other contestants stood, completely enraptured by this exquisite beauty. Seconds later, with the guitar strapped to his body, and a carryon hanging off long slender fingers, the boy made his way toward the fascinated crowd, flipping his long woven dreads of honey, bronze, and chestnut hues out of his face. He greeted everyone as he went, shaking hands with some, and even hugging some of the girls, leaving them breathless in his wake. Ramiele literally melted to the ground after receiving her hug from the stunning Adonis. When he reached the guys, he dropped his carryon on the ground and introduced himself to every contestant in the crowd. When it was David's turn for the introduction, the boy reached over for a hug. "Hi, I'm Jason. Nice to meet you." His eyes were locked on the perfectly woven dreads of autumn colors, flawless complexion, thick and full lips of wine, sparkly and pearly white teeth, strong cheek bones, delectable neck, nicely toned upper body, well endowed cock that was straining against the too tight jeans, long and strong legs covered by designer jeans ripped in all the right places. "Hi, I'm..." David began to say when the boy removed his shades and one look into the boy's mesmerizing blue eyes, eyes so intensely blue they rivaled the Pacific Ocean, and David was completely and utterly rendered breathless. Michael was right about not looking into the eyes, but it wasn't Simon's eyes David should fear. It was Jason's eyes as one look into those oceanic blue eyes and forever he was a slave to Jason's beauty. When David finally regained his breath, sucking the air back into his lungs, he finished his introduction and some. "David. And wow, your eyelashes are so thick and long," he said, his eyes dropping to the boy's crotch. "Thanks. I guess." Jason shrugged his shoulders and stepped into line next to David as Simon huffed and puffed his way up and down the line of contestants one more time before heading back into the studios. When Simon was gone, David quickly turned to Jason. "Want to be my roommate?" He asked, grabbing the boy's wrist. "Hey, I thought I was going to be your rommmate, mate," Michael interjected. David ignored Michael and focused his attention on the boy. "So what do you say? We can play our guitars together. I have a feeling we're the only two real musicians around here." "I don't know. I guess." Jason shrugged his shoulders, again. It was now time to congregate inside and Jason bent over to pick up his carryon luggage, offering David another glimpse of his perfectly round, pert mounds of ass. When Jason straightened up, the boy knocked his head against David's large forehead. "Sorry, my head's too big," David apologized, "here let me help you," he said, taking the carryon bag away from the boy. "I guess. Thanks." "Do you say anything else other than I guess?" David murmured lowly, but Jason didn't hear. They were walking into the building when suddenly Jason turned around, stopping them in their tracks. "That was awfully nice of him to come out and greet us, don't you think?" David's brows furrowed with confusion. "Huh?" "Simon. That was nice of him to come out and greet us," Jason clarified, "him being the creator and all." "Oh." David tapped Jason on the shoulder to warrant his attention. "That Simon is just one of those lame ass judges. He's not the creator." "But I thought he's Simon-" And then it dawned on the boy like a ton of bricks. He chuckled to himself. "That was such an airhead moment. I know he's Simon Cowell and I know the creator is Simon Fuller from the flyer I have in my hand yet I got the two confused. That was really dumb of me." David stifled a laugh. He shook his head and wrapped his arm around the boy's shoulder. "It's alright," he said aloud and murmured to himself, "with an ass like that, it's all alright." Indeed it was.
