Again no money is being made so no copyright infringement is being done. This story is fiction and is not intended to imply anything about the true sexuality of the celebrities mentioned or any personal knowledge about their private lives. Copyright belongs to the company USA network. I am trying my hand at a new TV show. If you have not read my previous works and like this one, check out "Chuck" and "Merlin" in the Celebrities section. Have fun reading! (Author's note = A/N You are going to hate me... bwahaha... Comment if you despise me... or not, I enjoy the comments) ************************************************************** Last time on Psych.... Lassiter turned his head away from Shawn, not sure if he could go through with this. "I... it's not that... I'm flattered... I just..." his mouth, nor the rest of his body, seemed not to be working well with his mind. Shawn was starting to have misgivings... maybe I read this wrong. No! ... wait, did I? Lassiter was trying not to initiate anything with Shawn at the moment and even though Shawn could feel the detective struggling with something, Shawn, for once in his life, could not figure out what it was. Finally, Carlton said, "Shawn... I haven't ever even thought about... but you... and when I thought that you might... I couldn't... and now... I want this but I don't want you to regret anything in the morning." The last phrase was void of emotion but Shawn immediately understood. Lassie's afraid that tomorrow I'll be mad at him because I'm vulnerable. Shawn said, "Lassie, I understand what you mean. But I am sure I want this and if you want to wait I'll understand but I have been waiting for this *moves in close and whispers* forever." Carlton shivered in anticipation. Finally, when Shawn held his head against Lassiter's and his lips moved close, Carlton threw caution to the wind. He leaned in and kissed the psychic on his pineapple sweet lips. Shawn wrapped his hands back around the detective and deepened the kiss. ************************************************************** Shawn woke with a start! Flinging himself forward as he desperately tried to touch... wait... what? Where the hell am I? Shawn thought. Seconds after he flung himself forward he felt his knee smack into his coffee table. Fuck, that hurt! He turned and surveyed his apartment. Clothes were lying strewn about the room, a peculiar and somewhat unpleasant smell hung in the air, and Shawn saw that his answering machine was blinking with a message. Shawn stood and thought, What happened to me? Unconsciously, Shawn ran his fingers through his hair, still perfect. He then turned back and saw that he had slept on the couch with a series of folders on his chest. Was I dreaming about the case? And what exactly was going on with Lassiter? The details of his dream were quickly slipping away from him. Did he solve the case? Why was he in a hospital? And for the love of god why did he decide to stay at Lassie's house. He picked up the folders and saw that the name Maria Gomez, she was a religious woman who had been saved from a car accident by Shawn's father. Shawn thought back to his dream... wasn't she... the murderer? Something about black magic and having god on her side. Shawn was having trouble recalling the dream, which was a shock to him considering he could remember even the most minute details from his early childhood. Shawn picked up his cell phone and saw he had a message from Gus. Shawn sighed, he had been working on the murder of a Wiccan priestess, Selena Gomez, (A/N - Had to do it) her coven had called her, and had come up with nothing that would hold up in court. The woman had been strangled with her own veil... kinda sad... kinda Isadora Duncan, almost. Shawn chuckled at himself. He then looked back at his phone, Shawn sent the message and a minute later he hear his phone chirp. Shawn replied, *BEEP* Shawn walked out of his apartment with the two folders in hand, somehow I think these cases are related. Thought Shawn. Maybe if I can get the records of when Maria was in the hospital I can either find out if she could be responsible for the death of the mystic on Euclid or at least cement that she was not there. Shawn yawned as he stretched his arms out and went into his bathroom, despite how much he talked about his hair, frequently he barely messed with it. He hopped into the shower and took five minutes to think about the case as he washed. As he exited the shower he remembered something from his dream. Did Lassiter hug me? Or did I hug him? Shawn shook his head trying to come back to reality. It was a manly gesture... totally innocent. Feeling slightly embarrassed that he had spent so much time thinking about the dream, Shawn walked out of the apartment and got on his motorcycle. He cranked the engine and sped towards the police station. When Shawn arrived at the station, he saw that Gus' blue hybrid was sitting in the parking lot. Playing a hunch, Shawn checked his phone and saw that Gus had texted him on the way over. Shawn climbed the steps into the station and saw Gus waiting just inside of the doors. "Did you get some food? I'm starving." "Two pineapple smoothies and two Japa dogs... our taste buds won't know what hit them." "You know that's right." As the two men started walking towards the office, Shawn felt his pulse beat more quickly. Hmmmm, though Shawn, wonder what that's about. When Shawn rounded the main desk he saw Head Detective Carlton Lassiter talking with Detective Juliet O'Hara and Shawn felt himself unconsciously blush. Okay, thought Shawn, what the hell is going on? Gus and Shawn approached the two detectives, who were having an argument over something. Shawn immediately piped up, "Jules is right Lassie!" Lassiter leveled a glare at Shawn that made the young man uncomfortable. "You didn't even hear the conversation Spencer, so I'll tell you only once, shut it." His voice was firm and commanding. Shawn opened his mouth to respond but was met with a mental blank. Lassiter looked at Shawn again and said with a mocking tone, "What was that Shawn? I couldn't hear you..." Shawn felt his cheeks turn red so he just took another swig of his smoothie and finally said, "Is the chief in her office?" Juliet turned and said, "Yes, Shawn. She said she wanted to see you, Gus, and detective Lassiter. Something about another victim on your case." Jules turned back to a stack of paperwork and motioned for the trio to move away from her desk. As they entered her office, Shawn got the uneasy feeling that something was about to happen that he had seen before. Déjà vu. Where have I seen this scene. He spotted a set of papers and folders on the chief's desk that listed several names and places. Shawn's mind went into overdrive as he spotted the picture of a new victim, this one's body was mangled and had a series of slashes along their chest in the shape of a catholic cross. Shawn blanched as he thought, it's her... it's gotta be her. Gus seemed to have noticed Shawn's reaction because he said, "Shawn are you okay?" Chief Vick then lifted the papers and showed them to Shawn and Gus. Gus visibly paled and excused himself. Seconds later, Shawn heard the sound of Gus running for the bathroom making heaving noises. Shawn turned to the Chief and said, "I think I may know who did this... but it is relying on a fuzzy psychic vision." The Chief raised an eyebrow and said, "Who is it Mr. Spencer?" Looking at Lassiter as if to say, write this down now! Shawn put his finger to his temple and said, "I'm seeing a necklace, a cross... She's surrounded by crushed metal! Now she's being hauled from the wreckage... DAD! What are you doing!?" Shawn then slumped into the nearest chair as Lassiter looked up from a notepad he had whipped out and said, "Chief! Henry Spencer pulled a woman from an accident two weeks ago, right before the first attack. She was deemed healthy and was released shortly after they admitted her. The hospital wanted to do a psychological evaluation because she had been ranting about evil sinners that needed gods vengeance." Shawn, meanwhile, had been staring off into space, just listening to Lassiter's voice, it's so smooth and deep. Shawn thought, wait a minute! I think I'm starting to fall for Lassiter. Oh crap! Shawn looked sidelong at the detective and felt himself shiver at Lassiter's strong features. NO! This can NOT be happening! I am straight! I've had sex with countless women, many of whom I've never called back, I can't be attracted to Lassie! The very idea... Shawn scoffed. This drew the attention of both the Chief and Lassiter. "Yes Spencer?" Said Lassiter. His eyes seemed slightly less cold than usual and his posture was less defensive. "Nothing..." Grumbled Shawn. He stood up and said, "Chief, let me know if you arrest that woman and if you need me for any other cases... right now, I'm going for lunch with Gus." And hopefully I'll be able to forget about this thing about Lassie. Shawn sighed as he turned and left the office. Gus was waiting outside of the station with his hands crossed over his chest, looking around the parking lot. He smiled when he saw Shawn and said, "Did you help them get any leads?" Shawn nodded and said, "I think we got the person already." Gus looked surprised but said nothing, "Lunch?" Asked Shawn, "You know that's right." Gus said as he climbed into the blueberry with Shawn. The two spent a five minute silent car ride over to their favorite Mexican restaurant, this left Gus unnerved because he knew something was bothering Shawn. "Shawn, you know if there's something on your mind, you can always tell me..." His voice was cautious. Shawn stared at him for a minute as if turning something over in his mind. Finally he turned back to the window and said, "Yeah buddy, I know." ******************************************************************************* Later that evening, Shawn went to his apartment, maybe some rest will help me sort this out, Shawn thought. He climbed into his bed and set his iphone for a two hour nap. It wasn't late so Shawn figured he could wake up for a night on the town after a short rest. Just what I need to clear my head, he thought. Shawn woke to the sound of his alarm blaring. His sheets were moist and Shawn realized he had just come in the bed. Shit! He kept himself flat on the bed so he could remember the dream. Lassiter had asked him to come over to his house after the case had been solved for a celebratory dinner. Shawn had misgivings but had said yes. As he arrived, Shawn realized he was wearing a dress suit and had a rose. Shawn knocked on the door and heard Lassiter say, "Come on in Spencer!" His tone was light and Shawn opened the door. In the center of Lassiter's house was a candle-lit table for two. Shawn felt his pulse race as he approached Lassie, who's back was to him, making the final touches to the meal. Lassiter was wearing his usual police uniform and his holster. Shawn walked over to Lassie and tapped his shoulder. Lassiter turned with a grin and as he saw the rose, his bright blue eyes shone with a brilliance that made Shawn's breath catch in his throat. Even though, Lassie's face seemed to lend itself to more serious facial expressions, when Lassiter smiled, his whole face lit up. "Hey Lassie!" Shawn's voice felt slightly deeper and Shawn felt his body moving in closer to the detective. Lassiter looked down at Shawn from his 6'1" slim frame. Shawn couldn't stop looking into his eyes, they're so blue, like crystals. Oh god how lame... I sound like a moron. Lassiter moved his hand to Shawn's back and Shawn immediately forgot about his stupid simile. Pulling Shawn close, Lassiter put his forehead against Shawn's. "You smell soooo good Shawn..." His voice purred, Shawn felt his body start to go into overdrive, trying to send an appendage through his dress pants. "... And you have never looked more handsome than you look now." Shawn felt his heart pounding in his chest, his brain desperately trying to send him some signal, which he was ignoring. Lassiter moved his lips against Shawn's and Shawn felt his whole body tingle. Lassiter's lips were gentle but demanding. Shawn moved his hands to the detective's back, feeling the powerful muscles that flexed as Shawn searched his body. Lassiter's lips moved to Shawn's neck and Shawn grunted as he tipped his head back, his styled hair held perfectly and Lassiter kissed Shawn's Adam's apple. Shawn felt himself losing control and he knew that if Lassie kept at such an intimate level, Shawn was going to come in his pants. Trying to get Lassiter's attention, Shawn pushed on Lassiter's shoulders, to no avail. Oh god! Shawn thought as Lassiter began to mark Shawn's neck and his hands moved down towards Shawn's zipper. Shawn gasped and said, "W-wait! Lassie... Oh-oh Sh-shit. Please..." Shawn couldn't even manage words, so when Lassiter's hand rubbed Shawn's straining member, Shawn felt his body betray him as he slipped over the edge. Lassiter held Shawn's body as the orgasm swept through the younger man. Shawn felt his body slump down a little and his breath became ragged. I did not just... He thought incredulously. That hasn't happened since high school! A second later he heard an alarm buzzing next to his ear. Wait this is a dream! Shawn sat up from his bed. This cannot be happening to me! I have never been attracted to men before, this doesn't make sense! Why now!? Wouldn't my subconscious have told me by now!? Why did it have to be Carlton Lassiter of all the men I know? Why not Gus or Buzz? Hell even the bald guy from forensics would have been better than the stations head detective. Shawn put his head in his hands, he felt conflicted, should he tell someone how he felt? God, who would understand? Gus? He'd probably freak out... Just like I am. One part of his brain decided to be a somewhat more direct and asked Shawn, say what you are thinking Shawn... What is the concern you are trying to avoid thinking about? Damnit brain! Shut up! But the voice, which sounded an awful lot like his father nagged at him until he said out loud, "FINE!!!! What if..." His voice faltered and he paused a minute, trying to voice the question that was scaring him the most. "What if he doesn't love me? He's voiced his hatred of me forever and this would just give him cause to ridicule me forever. But worst of all, I am fairly certain he... doesn't swing that way." There it was. Shawn was frightened and dejected, knowing his mind and body would yearn for the detective who would remain close but forever be just a friend. **************************************************************************** (A/N) - I think I will be setting a comment number before I will post the next chapter. I'd like five comments from different people, good/bad/ugly I don't care. I just want to make sure that there are people out there who want this story to continue... It takes me a couple hours to fine tune these chapters. If I only have a few people reading I may move back to my other stories which seemed to be very popular. Hey all... I know it's been a while and this chapter is short... I've been busy. Sorry. Anyway the sex will come... eventually. I'm trying to create a less sex obsessed story, it sounds easy in theory. Also I may be incorporating other celebrities you may know... re-read the disclaimer at the top... just for copyright's sake. Also the next chapter will be more geared to Shawn's reaction to his new attraction, how will he deal with it? who will he tell? Will they accept him? I'm not 100% sure right now. Either way I think Shawn needs to go through some serious emotional turmoil so that the relationship can sustain enough intrigue for future chapters. If you don't like what I'm doing... then this is your chance to shape the outcome of the story. I am giving you a small taste of what is to come. I want to thank all of my readers who have commented already and I hope that you guys continue reading. One of the best stories I have read had a liberal portion of absolute heartbreaking sadness. Having a story with such an impact is something all writers strive to have. I only hope you guys enjoy reading these chapters as much as I enjoy writing them. As I stated previously: I just wanted to let you know that I have two other stories on nifty. "Merlin" and "Chuck" so if you enjoy this story feel free to read the other two (also in celeb. section). I appreciate and greatly enjoy comments (the good, the bad, and the ugly) so please, even if you hated this story or want to say hey, shoot me an email. I am completely chill and confidential. Your comments let me know that there are people reading the story and inspire me to write more. Even if you just want to correct something, I don't mind at all. By the way my stories usually don't start with sex... I gotta keep the story flowing. But expect some more sex come future chapters. Oh and if you haven't watched Psych... I'd suggest it. Or just look up James Roday. *drools*
