LOVE YA Chapter 19: Primal "No, we should take the road. Cause, the road is where we're going to die." I said angrily as I struggled against the wooden pole I was tied to, " I thought I'd die, then come back, then go on some little vacation and then kill some uber voldemort type. Didn't think I'd have to fight everybody else too." Mordaren just smiled. "Aren't you gonna say anything before we die?" I asked angrily. "Hey, you two shut up." the hunter said, lighting his torch. "I'm not just gonna let them kill us." I said angrily. "I was hoping you wouldn't." Mordaren smiled. "Hey," I said, catching one of the hunter's attention and I looked into his eyes, " Let me go." The hunter looked up at me, then seemed to go into a daze. Another hunter patted his back and knocked him out of his daze. "You're doing some mind mojo on my partner, aren't you?" The other man said, " I'll fix that." "Look, I only have about three week before I die, so this, this is not gonna work." I said impatiently. "Do you think we'd just let you go?" one of the men said. "No." I said realistically, " But I've held back...do you expect me to just die?" "Not a choice." the man shouted through the darkness. "I'm a hunter too, I'm Chalis Gordon." I said, mentally slapping myself. They both stopped and looked up at me. "Ha, you've got to be kidding..." one of them smiled. "Yeah, I'm trying to kill this evil witch that...well, it's a long story, can you please let me down?" I asked. "No." one of them said, " You're still a demon." "Witch." Mordaren said. "Same thing." the other hunter said." "How are they the same thing?" Mordaren asked. "They do bad things." one of them said. "I give up." I said impatiently, " Sin encuadernar." I said, causing the ropes to drop from around me. "Get him!" one of them shouted. As one of them came after me, I levitated into the air and kicked the guy in the face and landed hard against the ground. I looked to the other hunter, who had a gun pointed at me. I threw my hands in the air, " I give." I said, trying to figure something out, " I've been on the road for days and I'm really tired. I don't wanna fight...just, give me the gun." "What?" the hunter asked. I looked him deeper in the eye, " Give me the gun." I demanded. The man fought for a second, then lowered the gun and threw it to me, " Thanks." I said, " Now, sleep." I said, causing the man to fall to the ground, snoring. "Good work." Mordaren said, patting me on the back. "I'm tired. When are we going to get to the coven?" I asked, wobbling a bit. "Are you alright?" Mordaren asked. "Yeah, all that just took a lot out of me." I smiled, " We really need to get the hell outta here." "You afraid they'll wake up?" Mordaren chuckled. "More afraid that there's more on the way." I said looking around. "Seems like ever since you met up with the Winchesters...you've been different." Mordaren smiled. His smile was like the sun to me. It brightened up a little part of my soul and though I was on a mission to save the world, I couldn't stop wondering when it would happen. When we would happen. I love Sam and Dean, but they've got different things going on and in my deepest heart, I knew that I wouldn't come out of this 'mission' untouched. I knew that a relationship with the Winchesters would be troubled at best, that neither relationship was destined to last. "Look, I don't want to talk about it." I said coldly, walking forward. "It's cool, I just want to know if there's anything I can do." he said. "Honestly, there isn't, not unless you can wipe evil off the face of the Earth." I frowned. "I was never destined to do that." Mordaren sighed. "We've been walking for two days and that's after the whole, big-ass rock thingy came alive and tried to crush us. But that's after that big cricket. Still, I can't even..." I paused. "What is it?" Mordaren asked. "Something's wrong." I said, gazing around. "What is it?" Mordaren asked. "I don't know." I said, looking around, " Are we here?" I asked, looking around. "This is not it, surely." Mordaren stated, looking around, too. "Not the...I'm talking about the Covens. Are you sure this is the way?" I asked. "I do believe this is your journey." A voice said, causing me to turn, " Hello, son." my mother's voice called out to me. I stared, not truly sure of what to say or even how to react. I found myself fixated on my mother as she moved forward towards us. I paused and made to step back and found Mordaren's hand. "Do not be afraid." Mordaren whispered. "Mordaren, what's going on?" I asked. "Just stay calm, I shall restore your faith in all that is." Mordaren said softly. I turned to him, but never put my back directly to my mother. I looked at him and wondered how? How could I have followed a virtual stranger so far into this. How could I have left all that I knew behind, to give up my security to follow him, never knowing his true intentions? And how could I not have seen this coming, " Who are you?" I asked. "I am Mordaren De LaCrusiat." Mordaren said, his eyes darkened, " I brought you here. I brought you home." "Home?" I asked. "Take another look around." he said. I did, and when I did, I noticed we were in the middle of a barren town. People stood around, all of them draped in black and there were a few in robes. I gasped and took a step back. I stopped and turned, bumping into mom. "Do not be frightened..." Mom said. "What's going on?" I asked. "Years ago, your father tried to kill me. He failed." Mom explained, " Since then, I've tried to send you messages and guide you, but I found it near impossible." I stared at her nervously, " Why'd dad try to kill you?" I asked. "He didn't trust me." she said, eyeing my book, " He thought I was was going to use that. May I see it?" "No." I said simply, " I don't believe you." "Trust me." she said. "I don't." I spat. "Then trust me." Mordaren said, putting a hand on my shoulder. I moved away from him, " I don't." I said, looking around, " You're not my mother." i said angrily. She rolled her eyes, " Looks like the jig is up. Your mother is in here, trapped. Screaming for her life." she shifted, " That shut her up." "Goddess, work thy will..." I began. "No, no, no. You do that and your mother's voice dies with me." she said, " My name is Morgaine and in my time, I was a Soceress Supreme." "This isn't your time." I chuckled, " Things change." I said, raising my hand, but so did she and I felt mysel straining. "You disrespectful little brat!" Morgaine yelled, her hand still up, " Looks like I'm going to have to teach you." As she started to cast a spell, I threw my hand backwards, casting her away like trash. I ran, the book close to me, and I made my way to the first house I saw, which wasn't too sturdy to began with. I locked the door and flipped through the book. As I flipped, I noticed the walls begin to shake and I felt something rumble and the house blew away around me. "Lesson's on." Morgaine said as the walls fel down. "Kiss my shiny, black a..." I said, thinking the spell in my head. I felt them stare at me, then there was a burst of light that swirled around the open space, blinding them. I felt something drip and grabbed at my nose, seeing my blood and I smiled. In a flash, I was falling, clutching the book closely, and I hit the ground. Hard. And I tried to stand, but I passed out. Before I passed out, I saw headlights. The headlights stopped and the black impala came to a complete stop as Sam and Dean ran to me. "Dean." Sam said, checking my pulse. "Get him in the car, Sammy." Dean said, looking around. Sam picked me up and loaded me and the book into the car and we sped away. - - - - - - - - - - Well, if you liked it please tell me so I can start work on the next one. I admit, another short chapter, but I had to set-up something and I couldn't bare to seperate the boys again! That would be horrible, so I'm putting the team together.
