Supernatural: Outer Beings

I stumbled into the hotel room, throwing my coat to the side. I knew it was only a matter of time before the cops came busting through the door, so I didn't have much time. I pulled my shirt off over my head, the blood causing it to stick to my body. I threw it to the side and next was my pants. I threw my clothes into a heap on the floor and continued to the shower. I turned on the shower and waited until it was nice and hot before I slid in. The steam ran over my body, engulfing me. I thought back to the last twenty four hours. I began to sob openly in the shower and slid down against the wall, letting the water wash away my tears.

Chapter 40: Loss.

24 hours earlier...

"So, this kid..." Martin asked.

"He's a seer." I said, "He sees things. Castiel...well, he sort of ordered me to find him. Told me to take him to the town Hall, said he'd be waiting."

"Castiel?" John asked.

We were walking down the street, up to a house where this kid was supposedly. Demons were out for the kid and as of late, I hadn't even heard from Sam and Dean.

"Yeah, he's been testy." I frowned, "I didn't know angels were so..."

"Dicky?" Martin asked.

As we neared the house, there was commotion and we looked at each other before bolting up the walkway! John kicked the door in and we ran inside, guns in the air, well, not me, and saw a woman cowering on her knees in front of a blonde guy. On the floor was a man, bleeding from his head. On the staircase, a young boy, maybe fourteen, stared down at the scene! The man was dressed in a UPS uniform and turned when we entered.

"Oh God, help me!" the woman cried.

Martin flew across the room smashing into a book shelf while John rolled across the floor! I flew back against the closed down, smashing to the ground! The demon turned back to the woman, who was curled up in the corner with her son.

"Ado mahan navi!" I said loudly, causing the demon to stop, "Unamu Disaku Vanuvua Lameshere Domar."

The demon's black smoke was exiled from the body, which slumped to the floor! I sighed and walked over to the mother and son, who recoiled.

"It's okay, I'm here to help you." I said.

"Your eyes are black! You're one of them!" The boy shouted.

I attempted to cover my eyes, but they had already seen.

"Get out!" the mother shouted.

I did as they said, blowing past John and Martin.

"You know lady, you got some way of saying thank you." John sneered, walking out after me.

"You know, he's really a good guy." Martin said, "He just saved your ass."

The lady looked as if she had been slapped.

"There are monsters out there, lady, and your son is a conduit to...well, I don't know, but he sees things." Martin said, "We're just here to help."

"How do can we trust you?" The woman asked.

"Because if you don't, your son could be in real danger." Martin said.

The woman nodded, "Tell your friend I'm sorry." She said.

Later...

As John and Martin poured salt around the whole house, I stood with the woman and her son, who seemed to be watching me.

"You know, I'm really not a bad guy." I said.

"Thank you, for what you did before." The mother said, "I'm sorry about how I reacted. I'm just scared."

"I didn't know I was scary." I said.

"The black eyes were a little scary." The boy said, "Kind of cool, though."

"What...are you?" the woman asked.

"I'm a witch." I said.

"A witch? Like Harry Potter?" The boy asked.

"No. More like Willow." I said.

"A Buffy reference? How awesome are you?" The boy asked.

"As cool as it sounds, I can't see the future." I smiled, "But you can."

His mother looked at him, then me, "It started when he was younger. He could tell little things, like how my job would go and then it was bigger things, like his father's..." she trailed off.

"I'm sorry for your loss." I said, "I lost my father too."

"What about your mother?" The boy asked.

"She died...a long time ago." I said, "I'm spilling my guts and I don't even know your name."

"Alice." The mother said, "And this is Kyle."

"My name is Chalis." I smiled.

"And I'm Martin and that's John," he said pointing to John, "We'll be saving you today."

"They want me? But...I'm just..."

"A kid." I said.

"I was going to say guy." Kyle said.

"You're a kid." I said.

"You're not that much older than me, are you?" Kyle asked.

"I'm nineteen." I said, "So, no."

"How did you know about us?" Alice asked.

"Angels." Martin blurted.

Alice and Kyle looked perplexed.

"No, seriously." Kyle said.

All three of us stared at the two.

Alice sat on her sofa, "By God..."

"Actually, yeah." John smirked.

Alice looked at him, "How am I supposed to protect my son against demons?" she asked.

"You run." Ruby said, causing us all to look at her.

"How'd she get in here?" John asked.

"She's a demon." Kyle said, "I saw her in my dream."

"Yet you didn't see us...I'm kind of offended." Martin said.

"What in the Hell are you doing here, Ruby?" I asked.

"You work with a demon?" Alice asked.

"I used to." I said, "Before she slept with..."

They looked at me.

"No, we didn't...It's complicated." I said, "What are you doing here? How'd you get in?"

Ruby smirked, "Slipped in just before the salt went down." She said.

"Okay, what are you doing here?" I asked.

"The Apocalypse is coming." Ruby said, "We need to put everything behind us and work together."

I stared at her.

"Dean and Bobby have Sam locked in a panic room and I can't get to him." Ruby said.

I walked over and backhanded her, "You gave him demon blood!" I shouted.

"It was so he could fight Lilith!" Ruby argued.

"You knew what that would do to him! He can't come back from some things. This could kill him." I said.

"I just came here to help." Ruby said, "I didn't come here to argue what me and Sam do when we're not around you."

"I should really kick your ass." I frowned.

"You could try." Ruby said, "You'd just be wasting time."

"That's the only reason I'm not kicking your ass right now." I said, "We have to get these two to the angels."

"What do you want me to do?" Ruby asked.

"I want you to leave." I said.

"We could..." Martin started.

"She has to go." I frowned, "There's nothing she can do for us."

"Fine." Ruby said, "Unblock the door."

John kicked the sand from in front of the door and opened it.

"Thanks." Ruby said, disappearing.

"What the..." Kyle said.

"Hurry, salt the doo..." but before Martin could finish, a man stood before John. The man's eyes went black as John flew over to the wall as if it were pulling him. Martin picked up a gun but before he could shoot it, the gun flew from his hands and slid across the floor! I ran to Alice and Kyle, but stopped as I felt an invisible force catch hold of me and fling me into a glass shelf! The Man rushed to Kyle and Alice, but John threw salt in a circle around them. John threw a knife at the man, but he caught it and turned to the mother and son. Martin knew what was coming and dove in front of the two as the knife was coming at them and took it to the chest! I ran to him immediately and knelt down to catch him. The man elbowed John and grabbed him, disappearing from the house.

"I'm...so-so-sorry for everything I...'ve duh-duh-donah." Martin said slowly, "I just wanted to be good."

"You did great." I smiled, choking the tears in my throat.

"I just wanted..." all of a sudden, he stopped.

I looked down, "No. No! Dammit, not you too!" I cried. I turned to the mother and son, "Stay right there!" I said angrily. I ran outside, looking around, wondering which way I'd go.

"You can't just leave us!" Kyle shouted.

I stopped. I turned and walked over to him, "Come on." I said, dragging them.

-

As the car screeched to a halt outside city hall, I jumped out, followed by Alice and Kyle. Once inside, I saw Castiel.

"You made it." Castiel said.

"You son of a bitch!" I screamed, "You knew this would happen! You...knew!"

"All that matters is that you accomplished the goal." Castiel said.

"Fuck you!" I screamed, pulling on my shirt, "This isn't my blood!"

He looked down.

"Look at it!" I ordered, "This is Martin's blood! He saved them..."

"It was his destiny." Castiel said.

"Screw you and your fucking destiny bullshit!" I said loudly, "What's your problem? You're acting like we don't matter."

Castiel was silent.

I said nothing, I just turned and walked away.

"Every life is priceless and meaningful." Castiel said.

"Save your angel bullshit for somebody who cares." I said, "I just lost a good person, so you tell whoever you work for that I'm done. I'm done." I said, walking away.

-

I hopped out of the shower and walked into the main room. The doors slammed shut behind me and I sat on the bed, trying to find the right words to say or emotions to feel. I couldn't. One of my new best friends was dead and the other was taken. I felt annoyed and sad and sort of angry. How could Castiel think that about us? My phone rang and I answered it and let Dean talk.

"Sam's gone. We had a fight and he kicked my ass before leaving." Dean said.

"Maybe you shouldn't have locked him in a panic room." I said unemotionally.

"He's been drinking demon blood." Dean said.

I was silent.

"You knew?" Dean asked.

"I kicked Ruby's ass for it." I said, "Is there a reason you called to tell me this?"

"Wha-are you kidding me?! Sam is off the deep end!" Dean said.

"Well, guess what, I just lost my friends. I don't really care." I said, hanging up the phone.

"So," Castiel said, "That's it? You'll just give up."

I laid back on the bed, "What am I supposed to do?" I asked.

"Fight." Castiel said.

"Fight's not fair." I frowned.

"It's never fair." Castiel said, "That's why you keep fighting."

I rolled my eyes.

"You fell." Castiel said, "Now it's time to get back up."

"I fell too far." I said.

"I can bring him back, but you will have to make a choice."

I sat up, "What's the choice." I asked.

"Alice, Kyle and the rest of this town for Martin." Castiel said.
