Sorry it took so long for me to update this series but here it is.

The Coming of Sol Five

Degrees of trouble

     I was awoken by the sound of my phone going off. "Hello?" I answered

"Hey Mike it Jeff we need to talk,"

"Ok just come on over," I told him

I got up went to the bathroom and took a quick shower. I was just putting socks on when my doorbell was rung. I ran downstairs and opened the door to see Jeff and he looked like Hell.

"Jeff come in," I said bring him in.

The instant he was inside he broke into tears I grabbed him and held him.

"It is ok Jeff whatever it is I will help you," I told him

"I just need someone to talk to." He sobbed

"Ok Jeff just let it out," I comforted

"I need to tell you something," He told me.

I guided him to the couch we sat down Jeff continued to cry on my shoulder.

"You can tell me anything you want Jeff," I said bring his head up so I could see his beautiful blue eyes. They were red from the crying.

"Mike I. I. I'm gay," He stuttered out

It took me a few seconds to take in what he said my own heart stopped for a second.

I began a mind focus exercise and turned to him "So your gay and that is suppose to change our friendship how?" I asked

He looked at me with a surprise look on his fact "Your not..." He stumbled

"Am I fazed by it no I am not. And why would I be?" I asked

"Because Nick did," Jeff cried

I looked at him then I got up "Come with me," I told him.

He got up and followed. We went to the Kitchen I put a kettle on the stove and turned it on. "It looks to me that a nice cup of hot chocolate is needed here," I smiled at him

He was still unsure of what I was doing.

"Jeff I can tell you this much Nick doesn't hate you," I started off.

"But..." Jeff started to say but I stopped him.

"Ok first I will tell you this Jeff I too am gay." I told him

He looked at me with uncertainty.

"The reason I am telling you this is not in hopes we fall for each other. But because you need to know," I told him.

"But you weren't there Nick called me everything in the book," Jeff cried

I was about to say something when my phone went off. I answered "Hello?"

"Mike it is Drew is Jeff there with you?" came the response.

"I don't know if I should answer that," I replied

"Dammit Mike just answer the damn question!" Drew cried

"And what if he is I think Nick did enough," I replied

"Thank God," I heard him sigh.

"What you aren't going to bitch him out?" I asked

"No Mike I won't I am sorry for what Nick said to Jeff he had no right to say it." Drew cried

"Well I am guessing Jeff will be staying with me at least for the night." I said

"It not a problem is it?" Drew asked.

"And when is it?" I asked back with a chuckle.

I heard him chuckle as well "Thanks Mike," Drew said

"It is my pleasure," I replied

"Do you wish to speak with Jeff?" I asked

"If he will talk to me?" I could hear the uncertainty in Drew voice.

I looked at Jeff who held out his hand and I gave him the phone.

As they talked I went to the now boiling water pulled it off the stove and poured it into a cup with hot chocolate mix. When Jeff came back into the kitchen he was smiling again.

"Work it all out I take it," I smiled

"You could say that," Jeff smiled back.

I handed him his cup and he took a sip. "Oh that good so rich," Jeff commented

"Nah I just know what brands are good," I smiled

"How do you do that anyway?" Jeff asked

"Do what?" I asked back

"What ever it is you do?" Jeff asked

"And what am I doing that is so special?" I asked

"Well for one you don't treat me any different then you would treat the next guy," Jeff started off

"Then there the fact that you were right Nick doesn't hate me he was just shocked," Jeff smiled

"Well first I will admit I had thought you guys would look at me very different. I am a lowly sailor after all." I told him

"Your aren't a lowly sailor you are an amazing person," Jeff responded

We sat there sipping our hot chocolate when Jeff looked at me "Wait you said you were gay does that mean you have some sort of crush on me?" Jeff asked.

I blushed a little "I plead the 5^th," I replied

"That not fair," Jeff chuckled

"What?" I asked

"Using the Constitution like that," Jeff chided.

I laughed, "I can't help if it was made to protect the innocent,"

We both erupted with a fit of laughed.

"So do you have a crush on me?" Jeff asked

That stopped me cold I had to wonder myself do I looking at Jeff I had to wonder he everything a person could want he had and his eyes they were stunning.

"I, I, I, I guess I do," I stuttered

He chuckled "I can accept that."

I was shaken out of my stupor and ran down to my Holo-Room upon entering it I had BEATTI conjure up a forest with huge lake in it.

"No this is impossible," I cried

"He can't be asking that," I babbled

I looked into the majestic lake before me.

"How could anyone like this face?" I asked myself.

"I could," I heard from behind me.

I turn to him tears started to stream out of my eyes.

"How could you I am just a nobody," I cried

"You are not a nobody you are a kind and gentle person who gives to those in need." Jeff soothed.

"You took in a couple strangers and made them your friends." Jeff soothed me again.

I looked into his eyes there I could see that he too was developing feelings for me.

"I, I, I don't know what to say," I stuttered

"That might be a good thing," I chuckled

He laughed then took my hand into his it was like a jolt electricity being sent through my body and all of my walls and mind focus exercises were obliterated.
