......Kat nodded in agreement and they headed back to the lair.

They were off no more than 10 more minutes when the sky darkened. Then
there was the sounds of distant thunder. Lion-O looked at Kat and suggested
then move quickly

"Let's move, before the rain comes" he shouted

They rushed through brush and tress quickly. Trying to beat the rain that

crashes of lighting streaked across the sky. They continued moving into the
rain became a deluge. That's when Lion-O suggested they take cover.

"We must find temporary shelter until the storms pass" he declared

"Yes. But where Lion-O" Kat answered

Lion-O looked about. Then he grabbed the boys hand. They turned back the
way they came. Kat pondered why and gave the older cat a questioning look.

"I saw some fallen trees a bit back" Lion-O stated

"It will give at least some cover"

They rushed through the trees again. Trying to get to the spot Lion-O had
mentioned. Then a flash lit up the sky and forest. Lighting crashed through
the trees s they reached the spot Lion-O spoke of.

It was a tight space, but the two crawled under one of the large
stumps. First Kat, then Lion-O. They huddled together under it. It wasn't
much of a shelter s Kat could feel water still getting to them. But he was
happy Lion-O was holding him.

Then another flash and a booming eruption as the strike was ever so
close. Kat shook in Lion-O s arms. Scared from the frightening
storm. Lion-O squeezed him in his arms.

"We are safe here" he said

"I'm scared Lion-O" Kat.

 Another flash and boom.  It lit up the area again. That's when Kat saw a
waterfall to the left. It was in the distance.  But he could make it out
through the trees.

"Look Lion-O" he called out

"Some rocks and a waterfall"

"Let's go there"

Lion-O looked and saw it as well.  He agreed they needed to get out of this
weather. The lightning seemed to be getting too close. And a tree was not
going to protect them from that.

So when they felt it their best chance, they left the tree stumps and
rushed through the downpour to the waterfall beyond. The thunder seemed to
be getting louder. The lighting strikes closer.

They got to the falls and found a cave behind it. The roaring rush of the
falls partly drowned out the thunderclaps. They went into the cave and
towards the back of it. To get away from the loud rushing water.

It was a pretty deep cave too. The light quickly dimmed into near darkness
as they got to the back of the cave.

That's where the two cats huddled together for warmth. Awaiting the passing
storm. Kat could feel his hunky friends body next to him.  He snuggled to
Lion-O for comfort. And Lion-O held him tightly

"We will be okay Kat" he said

"Once this passes, we will get back to the lair"

"And our friends."

"I hope so Lion-O" Kat said. A little fear in his voice

They were there for a good 2 hours. Kat had fallen asleep in Lion-Os
arms. He looked at the kitten with his cat eyes. Seeing the young face
pressed to the fur on his chest. The boys hand gripping to chest fur
gently. And he was purring. Lion-O stroked the boys head as he held him.

"This is a strange storm" he had thought

"Was this the work of the evil Mummrah?"

"He is very powerful"

Then he remembered the happens of the fight before. Mummrah attacking and
doing what he had done to Lion-O. He was so drained from that incident. As
