LOVE YA Chapter 25: Slayer Divided "So, you grew up in Denmark?" I asked, munching on our food. I had finally accepted Colby's invitation for dinner for some coaxing. it had been weeks since I'd returned to being me, so I was shaky about it, but now completely guilty. "Yes. I've lived several different places. We finally settled down in Denmark again, then I decided I wanted to go somewhere else." he explained, " My father is really strict with me, if they knew I was dating men...a man, they'd have a royal cow." I chuckled, " Really? So am I like, your first." I asked. "No, just the first person to actually make me wait to date you." he chuckled. I blushed, " I'm not easy." I smiled. "I like that." he said seductively, " The way you are." "The way I am?" I asked, " How's that?" "Well, you know..." he smirked. I shook my head, " Gonna need some enlightening." I said quickly. "I just like that you're so unwilling to compromise on something you disagree with. You are incredible." he smiled. "I've been told that. Colby..." I said, getting closer to his ear, "...you're not getting into my pants." Colby smiled and leaned back, " I am completely okay with that." he smiled. "You are?" I asked in shock, " I don't know how I feel about that." "Different?" he asked. "You're different, a bit slutty, but different." I smirked. "I am not slutty. I've only been with two men..." Colby said. "Ewww, so you're a predator?" I joked. "No...women." he smirked. "Ewww." I joked, once again. "You mean you've never had sex with a..." he started. "NO! No." I said, looking out the window and seeing a woman walk into an alley with another really obvious vampire, " um, I have to go to the bathroom." "Would you like company?" he asked, " Is something the matter?" "No. Just need to go to the bathroom." I said, getting up and walking quickly to the bathroom. I peeked around the corner and noticed that he was on his cell phone. I quickly sprinted through the kitchen to the alley. Once outside, I saw the woman pinned against the wall and the vampire feeding on her! "Hey! Dinner's inside." I said, walking closer. The vampire let go and turned to me, " An after-dinner snack." he said. "Biting off more than you can chew." I said, pulling out my stake, " You could choke." "Slayer?" he said, " I've heard of you. Didn't think you'd be so tacky. Who wears jean jackets with actual jeans." "Sane, living people...that kinda stung." I said, running my hand over my jacekt. I was wearing a black shirt with the jacket and some jeanns and a pair of black and white dress shoes. "I think I'm gonna eat you." the vampire smiled, his fangs glistening in the moonlight. "Bite me." I said, kicking him backwards, " You should run." I said to the woman, who ran away, " You! You should stay." I said, punching him in the face. The vampire grabbed me and swung me into the wall, then I got to my feet and noticed I had let my stake slip and looked around for it. The next time the vampire tried to grab me, I rolled out of the way and he hit the wall. As I rolled, I grabbed my stake and stuck it in his back, " I think you might have a slight hole in your shirt...now that's tacky." I said, dusting myself off. "Austin?" Colby said from around the corner, " I thought you left." "Why?" I asked. "You left." Colby said, " Then there was the woman who ran by screaming about some guy who looked like you helping her get away from some creep...are you okay?" he asked. "Yeah. Just another guy on PCP." I smiled. "You took him on by yourself?" Colby asked. I flexed, " Stronger than I look, does that mean our date is over?" I asked. "No, no...we can take a walk through the park." Colby suggested. "Great." I lied. Just what I needed, to walk through the most dangerous nighttime place with someone who didn't know I was the slayer. Just great. Doug asked, " I find it healthy, glad he's out there." "can you sound less enthused?" Kelly asked. "Shut up! The anatomy of Grey is on." Groo said, eating popcorn. "Groo's really into Grey's Anatomy." Oz smiled. "You've been characteristically quiet Oz, what do you think of Austin getting his groove back?" Kelly asked. Oz shrugged. "Come on Oz, I know you have something to say." Kelly pressed. "Leave him alone." Doug said. Kelly frowned, " What's gonna happen if Connor comes back?" she asked. Oz shrugged. "Then Austin will choose Connor." Doug said. "ut, he's been dating this Colby guy and they've gotten really close." Kelly smirked. "He told you that?" Doug asked. "Yes." Kelly said. "Did they..." Oz asked. "No." Kelly said, " Apparently this Colby guy is a lot different than normal guys." "How?" Doug asked, " Does he not have a dick?" Kelly chuckled, " No, more like a royal." she smiled. "Royal? as in heir to the heir of the heir of another heir of the heir to the throne?" Doug asked. "More like the prince." Kelly said, " Just our thoughts." Just then the door opened and closed, " You guys are having thoughts? Miracles do happens." I said, walking to the couch. "Hey! If I wasn't so turned on by McSteamy, I'd be really pissed." Kelly smirked, turning back to the t.v. "Eww, can you please keep your girlfriend happy?" I joked. "What's your issue?" Doug asked. I sighed and slumped down on Oz, " well, he's incredibly naive...in a Sunnydale type of way." I explained. "So, he doesn't acknowledge the supernatural?" Groo asked, watching the t.v. I shook my head, " More like he ignores it." I said. "Isn't that what you want?" Oz asked, " Someone who's normal." i looked at Oz, " Why'd you say that?" I asked. "No reason, just through that you'd want someone normal. I mean, if you wanted anyone, you could have hit on one of us, but you picked someone normal." Oz said emotionlessly. I got up from his lap, " He picked me and, Oz, do you have something to get off your chest?" I asked. "No." he said, getting up, " I just think you're ignoring the obvious too. Maybe he's not ignoring the supernatural, maybe he is the supernatural. "If he is, then your theory goes right out the window." I frowned, " And he doesn't seem supernatural." "Do we look supernatural?" Oz asked. "Oz, you're a werewolf...and what's your deal?" I asked. "Nothing." he said, walking away. I just stared as he walked away and I turned to the rest of the group, who looked back at the t.v. and I walked behind Oz. "What is your deal, I mean ever since I started...dating...Colby, you don't like him." I said angrily. "He lied to you." Oz said. "I'm LYING to him." I argued, " What is it really?" Oz turned to me, " Let's just drop it!" he said. "What is your freakin deal!?! Is it that time of the month?" I asked. Oz sneered at me, " Screw you!" he said, walking away. My mouth gaped and I turned to walk away, out of the hotel. - - - - - - - - - - Lindsey frowned at his glass of brandy, listening to the radio. He had lost something he never wanted. If he never wanted it, then why was he regretting what he had done? Why was the world a worse place? The Senior Partners brought him back to be the old Lindsey, but the old Lindsey was gone, or as gone as his old persona could. Now Lindsey had seen things that he himself couldn't explain and that if he had to, he couldn't. Lindsey, never in a million years, thought that he would fall for someone quickly, not after Darla and Eve and his mancrush on Angel. He swore he wouldn't. But he had and now his loved had moved onto a Prince, a prince of all things! 'If Austin thought that Prince 'Pain in my ASS' was better than me, he's wrong!' Lindsey thought. "Telephone, line 1" his secretary said through the intercom. "Thank you, Tina." Lindsey said, sloppily picking up the phone, " Hello?" he said into the phone. The person on the other end was a doctor. The doctor went into great detail about a patient he was treating. A coma patient. Very regretful case and now the patient had awoken and escaped. Immediately, Lindsey knew who it was, " Is she on her way?" he asked. "yes." the doctor, Doctor Tremain, said into the phone. Lindsey hung up the phone and turned to his drawer. He opened it and reached in, pulling out a yellow orb and smashing it against the table, " This is gonna be good." he smirked to himself. "Just what I was gonna say." Charity smiled from the doorway. - - - - - - - - - - A crowd stood in the middle a busy street, in front of the crowd were police tape and a crime scene. someone had been murdered, shredded and there were pieces strown about down the street. Oz and the gang found themselves in the crowd, waiting to see just who this was and what could have possibly done this. The police were visably confused and rightfully so. "Any ideas?" Doug asked. Groo shrugged, " Werewolves?" he asked. Oz shook his head, " Could be, but I doubt it. No full moon. No teeth marks..." he explained, " Or, just not the right teeth marks." "What about Wraiths?" Kelly asked. They all looked at her. "What?" she asked. "How do you know about wraiths?" Doug asked. "I read those books. The ones with the symbols. I thought I'd get some symbols as tattooes." she said, runningn her finger over her arm. "Most of those were demonic." Oz said. "Is that a problem?" Kelly asked. "They do different things, if you get inked with them, you could become them...serve them...or you could get married to them." Doug explained, " Sweetie, maybe you want to not read those books anymore, ok." "Back to the demon at hand," Groo said, Maybe it was just a vampire." "There was little or no blood sucked. It's all on the street." Doug said. "Ummm, how about a big, skinless man?" Kelly asked. Once again, they all looked at her. "Austin said he saw one, maybe it..." Kelly started. "Hopped on a bus from Sunnydale?" Oz asked. "HEY! I DON'T HEAR YOU BITCHES GIVING US ANY IDEAS!" she said angrily. Doug put his arm around her shoulder, " It's okay, sweetie, we're just stomped." Doug said softly, " We appreciate your ideas, but...Oh, oh boy..." he said, stumbling back. Groo caught him. "It's okay. I'm okay...It's just there was...some major mojo going on. I wonder did the other witches feel it too?" Doug asked. "Let's get you back." Oz said, helping him away. Just as they were about to leave, a girl and boy came shouting from around the corner. The police officer stopped them and asked them why they were running and they explained that they saw a guy materialize out of thin air. The guy was tall, brunette, and looked wild, as if he had just been to hell. The gang stopped and looked at each other, then they all exclaimed, " CONNOR!" and ran around the corner to find the guy. As they rounded the corner, they saw someone laying in the middle of the street, but it wasn't Connor. "Dead end?" Kelly asked. "No." Groo said. "What?" Kelly asked, looking at them and noticing their gaze was on the alley and she looked that way and saw someone emerge from the alley. "Oz?" Connor panted, coming from the alley, " Where's Austin?" - - - - - - - - - - As I walked to meet Colby at a new nightclub, I suddenly felt differet. Something just happened. Something was about to happen. Whatever it was, it was BIG. I frowned to myself and heard footsteps. I looked up to see Colby staring down at me, trying to help. "Are you okay?" he asked. I nodded, " Yeah. I'm good. I just feel a little...stressed." I said uncertainly. "Stress? Maybe we should get you treated." Colby said, looking around, " TAXI!" "No. I swear, I just need rest. I should..." I started. "...Go back to my penthouse?" Colby offered. I nodded, " Sure." I said, allowing him to help me up. "You know, you really are a strange person." Colby smiled. "You love it." I smiled. "Indeed, I do." Colby said, helping me into the back of his limo. "Wait, if you had a limo, then why call for a taxi?" I asked. "Dramatic effect." Colby said, helping me in the back of the limo. "Oh, that is so you, or it would be if I knew you better." I said quickly. I must have fallen right to sleep because when I woke up, Colby was laying beside me, his arm draped over me. I just laid there, smiling, until he got up. I waited a while to get up. When he finally came back to the room, I spoke, " So, we laid here, all night and you didn't touch me?" I asked. Colby smirked and nodded, " Do you wish I would have?" he asked. "Kinda, but I'm glad you didn't." I smiled. "Do you believe me now? I only wish to know you." Colby said. I chuckled and looked away, " Careful, I could fall for you." I smiled. "That's what I'm hoping for." he smiled, " so, what about your friends?" "Not friends, friend." I corrected. "He doesn't like me?" he asked. "He doesn't know you." I said. "Well, we should change that. You should go back and we can explain." he offered. "I don't know..." I said hesitantly. "I promise, I'll be nothing cordial." Colby smiled. "It's not you I'm worried abou, it's my friend...he's a wolf." I said quickly. "I can handle him, if it means that we can be together." Colby smiled. I smiled, hiding what I was thinking: Connor. But I put it out of my mind. After we got dressed and went to the hotel and I walked in, looking around, " Nobody here?" I said, walking to the stairs. As I got to the office, I noticed that everyone was there. My eyes adjusted quickly and I saw Connor looking back at me and smiling. He shot out of the office and kissed me. "I missed you so much!" he said, kissing me again. I was in shock to say the least. Connor was back? WHy didn't they call me?! - - - - - - - - - - If you liked it, let me know and I'll start on the next one.
