"hey jaime have you seen john anywhere?" bobby asked walking into the kitchen

"no mate, I hent seen him all morning", jaime replied, rogue and delta walked in and sat at the table with the them

"he's in the danger room with cerebro" rogue added, "ya know I still cant get used to havin cerebro here in person, its weird"

"ya gotta admit it is cool tho rogue, I mean when we talk to her we're actually talking to someone instead of thin air" jaime replied as he started to leave the room

"you would say that sugah, you created her, where ya goin?"

"to see if john is ok, it's a year ago today remember", jaime left the rest of the group and made is way to the danger room, john was fighting the dark phoenix and cerebro was standing just inside the door watching him

"good morning forge" cerebro said as jaime walked up beside her

"hey cerebro, how long has john been in here?"

"6 hours, 43 minutes and 12 seconds"

"ok there's no need to be so precise" jaime replied smiling, he had decided to wait for john to finish before speaking to him but nearly an hour had passed so he terminated the program

"get lost jaime" john said when he realised what had happened

"john, you shouldn't spend so much time in here on that program"

"why not? Dark Phoenix took aaron away from me, if it wasn't for her he'd still be here with all of us"

"I'm sorry pyro but I agree with forge, you shouldn't spend as much time in here as you do, you should be with your friends, the people who love you very much"

"y'all know what today is, all I'm gonna get is students giving me strange looks and talking behind my back, I cant be doin with it, not today" john replied nearly crying

"don't worry mate, I'll stay with you all day if it makes you feel better and if anyone starts acting weird with you I'll get delta to throw a bolt of energy at them"

"thanks mate, delta wouldn't do that anyway, she's too kind"

"she would if I asked her to" jaime replied with a smile, they started to leave the danger room and made their way upstairs

"oh god, I forgot you and delta have been together for a year now, sorry mate"

"don't be daft, you've got a lot on your mind"

"still I shouldn't have forgotten, happy anniversary", they continued to make their way up the gardens to meet the others, delta looked up at jaime <how'd ya manage to get him up here?> <not sure just tell everyone to act normal> <ok babe>

"what time have we got to be at the display tonight?" john asked as he sat down, they all looked at him surprised

"you don't have to come sugah" rogue said

"I've got you guys so I'll be fine, sorry I've been a dick lately"

"we understand mate, we all miss him, ya know none of you lot have called me iceboy since, well you know" bobby replied lowering his head, john was sitting next to him and gave him a hug,

"are you sure you're going to be ok tonight pyro?" cerebro asked

"yeah, busted are doing a tribute aren't they?"

"that is correct" cerebro replied

"blast cerebro why are you so formal?" john asked with a smile

"it is because of the way I am programmed pyro", they all looked at jaime

"hey don't blame me, professor x created her, I just gave her a body" as they were talking xavier, jean, scott, ororo, logan and kurt came out to meet them

"hey professor, could you make cerebro a little less formal please, I'm stating to feel common" john asked, xavier closed his eyes for a minute

"there that should be better, its good to see you're out of the danger room john, if its ok I'd like to leave in about an hour", the rest of them agreed and they went to get ready, as john was walking back to his room he saw the new guy

"hey angel, you coming tonight?" john asked

"yeah, just about to get changed, have you heard about storm and logan, they're together"

"finally, bout time, it was so obvious they had feelings for each other, well I'll see ya in a bit".

They all got changed into their uniforms and met at the jets, after 10 minutes they left, xavier, storm, wolverine, falcon, iceman, psylocke, angel and cerebro were in the blackbird and cyclops, phoenix, pyro, forge, nightcrawler and rogue were in the blackhawk, as they got closer to the display john started to feel very nervous and sick, he then felt like he was being hugged <thanks jeannie> <that's ok sweetie, everything will be ok>, they landed the jets and went to find busted

"hey guys" charlie said running up to them

"alright sugah" rogue replied, they continued to walk to find mattie and james

"john seems to be handling this quite well" charlie said to rogue

"yeah, its tearin him up inside tho"

"how have you all been?"

"not too bad, we've got a new guy, angel, I'm still keepin powers, I've now got the ability to fly and super strength, what song are you guys doin tonight?"

"its called This I Promise You, the song was originally done by N-Sync, but they said we could do it".

They met up with the others and began preparing for the show, it took them a while to get everything ready and by the time they'd finished, they only had an hour before the show started, they went back to the jets to relax for a while.

"thanks for doing this guys" john said walking up to busted

"no problem mate, we just feel that aaron deserves something, from what we've heard about dark phoenix, he saved us all" mattie replied

"yeah she was one evil bitch, if she wanted she could destroy the whole universe with a single thought"

"how come it didn't then?" james asked confused, jean had heard them and decided to explain

"like john said she was very evil, she only existed to hurt people and if she destroyed the universe then she'd have no-one to hurt, does that make sense?", they all nodded and continued to chat to each other.

After a while busted made their way onto the stage and the x men went in the audience, jaime and bobby stayed next to john all the time, they wouldn't leave his side for anything

"guys I'm alright, you don't have to stay with me" john said to them

"we know but we wanna stay with you, so stop complaining and hold your noise fireboy" bobby replied with a smile

"I don't know what I've done to deserve friends like you" john said pulling them into a hug, they continued to hug for a few minutes until charlie started talking, the crowd went mad and were screaming until they realised the seriousness on charlie's face

"those of you who were here last year will remember a guy called aaron davies or by his x men code-name psyche, after a battle with sentinels and his fiancé being shot, his body and mind were took over by an evil entity called dark phoenix, although his fellow team mates were able to help his fiancé, the dark phoenix was still present. There was a chance to stop the dark phoenix taking over his body again but he knew it would only move to someone else and cause damage again, to prevent this from happening he took his own life to finally stop dark phoenix from hurting anyone ever again. Tonight we want to pay respect to a truly great person".

Charlie stepped back and picked up his guitar, he looked down at the x men and john gave him a smile, they took a deep breath and began the song

Once they had finished the song everyone started to clap, after the audience had calmed down they started Who's David, the new single, they came to james's part but he didn't sing or play his guitar, charlie and mattie stopped and looked at him, he was completely out of it, neither the x men nor the audience could understand what was going on

"jean, what's wrong with him?" storm asked

"I aint sure" jean replied, <james, sweetie what's up?>, she didn't get a reply so she tried again <james what's wrong, why have you stopped?>, it took a moment before james finally spoke

"aaron"

"what?" scott asked, james didn't speak again but pointed out into the audience, the x men couldn't see what he was pointing at so storm used the wind to raise into the air

"by the goddess", she raised the others into the air so they could see, none of them could believe there eyes, xavier used his telepathy to mentally freeze everyone except busted and two other people,

"aaron, sugah" rogue said confused

"sorry you must be confusing me with someone else, my name's ryan"

"it cant be, aaron don't you remember us kid?" logan asked

"look, I don't know who you're talking about my name is ryan taylor and I've never seen any of you before in my life, well except you five" he replied pointing to delta, jaime and busted.

"if that's the case, explain the ring" jean said pointing to the ring on his finger

"I cant, I've had it for as long as I can remember"

"well I can, its your engagement ring" xavier said

"don't talk like a pratt, I aint engaged" he replied, this hurt john a lot, he couldn't understand why aaron couldn't remember anything, hell it was hard to understand how he was alive

"aaron you're engaged to john" jaime said, putting his arm around john for support

"no way, I'm not aaron and I definitely aint gay, hell cant you lot see I'm here with my girlfriend?, I aint sure what's going on here but please leave us alone"

"I can explain" the girl said as she started turning into a phoenix <last year when aaron killed dark phoenix, he had killed himself too but I couldn't allow that to happen to the person who had rid this universe of dark phoenix so I brought him back to life, his body and mind were severely damaged, healing his body was easy but it was going to take time for his mind to heal so I gave him the mind of someone I had took over a few years ago, until his was completely healed. Now is that time, I will restore aaron's identity and memories, it will take a little time for him to remember everything from his past life but after a few days everything will be back to normal>

"so your saying my whole life is fake?" ryan asked

<no just the past year of it, I hope you all understand why I did this, I could've left aaron dead but that would've been unfair to his friends and fiancé, he had died to save the whole universe and although I may be a `bloody pigeon' as you lot put it, I couldn't let this happen knowing I could change it, also I found out that aaron and scott are twins, you were separated at birth>

"hang on if we're twins, how come we've got different birthdays, who's is right?" scott asked

<neither are right, your date of births are 7th November 1978 , so in 2 days you'll both be 25>, with that the phoenix started to fly into ryan's chest, his clothes turned into his old uniform and he fell to his knees and held his stomach

"oh god, it doesn't feel any better the second time" he said as he started to stand up

"aaron?" charlie asked

"no sorry still ryan, I can remember you guys and my powers but that's it at the moment, if its ok I'd like to be alone for a while, to try figure all this out"

"take as long as you want, we'll meet you back at the school, that's if you want to come back" xavier replied

"um.. yeah that would be great, I think, I aint sure this is too much to take in, 10 minutes ago I had a nice simple life and now I'm a new person, a mutant, I've got a twin brother and apparently I'm gay" ryan replied just before orbing away, the rest of the team were quiet for a while.

"professor we should probably get back to the show" betsy stated, they all agreed and continued with the show.

When the show had finished they cleared up and headed back to the mansion, busted had decided to join them in case it helped ryan get his memory back.

When they arrived at the mansion they all went to their rooms to get changed, angel decided to watch television, when he got to the living room he saw ryan reading a book, he walked over and took a seat next him

"hey ryan"

"alright, err sorry I don't know your name"

"its randall, or angel which ever ya want"

"who was that other women with you lot, I don't remember her either"

"that's cerebro" angel replied

"I thought cerebro was a computer"

"she is, jaime just gave her a body, smart git", just then scott walked in he looked at them and then started to walk out, angel got up and walked over to him

"scott where ya going" randall asked

"I think its great that we're twins but it may be to much for him to cope with at the moment"

"don't be stupid, just talk to him", angel left the room and scott took a seat next to ryan, neither of them spoke for a while and scott was about to leave

"scott, please don't go"

"I don't want to force you talk about it"

"I'd prefer not to talk about it, but you need to, its one hell of change for you" ryan replied, scott sat down again

"you still put other people before yourself"

"so do you, suppose that's one thing we got in common... bro"

"you really mean that?" scott asked surprised

"yeah course I do, its weird but we are brothers" ryan replied giving scott a hug

"I was going to go down to the danger room, wanna come?" scott asked

"hell yeah, I wanna see if you can control the optics without that visor"

"you remember how I got rid of that thing?"

"oh yes, you really pissed me of not telling me why you had to wear that thing".

They walked down to the danger room and started a high intensity training program, they had been in there for three hours when ryan held is head in pain

"ryan what's wrong?" scott asked

"I've gotta find john, we'll finish training later" he replied as he started to run out of the danger room "and its aaron now, see ya later bro", scott gave a smile and continued training.

Aaron was walking up to the main school when he saw bobby

"hey iceboy, have ya seen john anywhere?"

"he's in the games room with jean and cerebro" bobby replied "and its good to have you back super freak"

"watch it" aaron replied with a smile, he got to the games room and walked straight up to john and kissed him

"I think we better leave phoenix" cerebro said, jean agreed and they left the room, john and aaron continued the kiss for a few minutes, then john pulled away

"god I've missed that"

"same here, john you dont hate me for what I done last year, do ya?" aaron asked

"no I don't you idiot, just never do anything like that again, the past year has been the worst one of my life"

"I'm sorry, I promise we're gonna spend the rest of our lives together, nothing will stop that".

They had another kiss then made their way to find the others, they walked to the living room and the whole team and busted, except logan were in there watching The Matrix Reloaded, they took a seat on the large sofa next to scott and jean <I cant believe you and scott are twins> <I know, its fucking brilliant aint it and its our birthday in two days> <yeah talk about giving us notice, stupid sodden pigeon, now xavier's gonna have to cancel classes tomorrow so all of us can get you both presents> <yeah I'll have to go change my name too> <how come?> <my drivers licence and everything says ryan taylor so I've gotta get it changed to aaron summers> <don't ya mean davies?> <no, if we're twins its gonna be right and I cant see scottie boy here changing his name> <good point>.

"I'm just gonna go find logan" aaron whispered to john

"ok" john replied, aaron gave him a quick kiss then orbed himself outside of the room, he used his telepathy to find logan who was in the gym, when he got down there logan was on the treadmill

"hey kid, how ya doin?" logan asked as he stopped the treadmill and walked over to aaron

"not too bad, sorry to disturb you logan I just wanted to say thanks"

"for what?"

"for taking care of john for me" aaron replied

"that's ok kid, I'm really glad your back, I've missed ya" logan replied giving aaron a hug

"I missed you too, but god you stink" aaron said with a smile

"you've only been back for a few hours and already you're being a cheeky bastard"

"you love it"

"so what's it like being related to old one eye?"

"hey shit brick, that's my brother you're talking about" aaron replied punching logan in the chest

"I take it you like it then?" logan asked

"yeah, I never really got on with my adoptive brother or mom and dad when I was a kid, even before they found out I was a mutant" aaron replied lowering his head

"you ok?"

"yeah, that's all in the past now, fuck the lot of them, do you wanna go meet the others?"

"ok, come on kid" logan replied. They made their way back to the living room to catch the rest of the movie, a few of the senior students had joined the group and there were no spare seats left, so aaron used his powers to hold logan and himself in the air. After the movie had finished they all got something to eat and then decided to call it a night , john and aaron went up to their room and got into bed, it didn't take long before john was asleep, aaron just laid there holding john thinking about everything that had changed, cerebro was now a person, although he'd only spoke to angel once he seemed a nice bloke, logan and ororo were together and he and scott are twins whats more in just two days it was their birthday, he didn't mind all these changes but it was still a little weird, he crawled down the bed a little and kissed john on the forehead, he wasn't completely in control of his powers again yet and could sense scott was still awake <tomorrow I'm gonna legally change my name so I'm a summers, do you mind?> <of course I don't, I'll come with you if you want, but how are ya gonna do it? you hent got any paperwork, ya know what the government are like> <yeah that would be good and I'll use a little mind control, as far as they'll know everything will be in order> <well I'd better go, jean wants to tell me something> <ok, night scottie> <night bro>.

Jean had come out of the bathroom and sat down on the bed next to scott, she looked excited but at the same time very nervous

"scott, I've got something to tell you, I've known for a couple of days now and I just done a test and confirmed it"

"jean what are you talking about?" scott asked

"I'm pregnant"

"oh my god, really?" scott asked surprised, jean nodded her head, she was worried scott would be pissed

"that's brilliant, we're gonna be a mom and dad" scott screamed giving her a kiss and hug, they continued to hug for a few minutes longer and then got in bed and fell asleep.
