Alistair's Story Chapter 3 Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry about the long wait between chapters. I have gotten so busy with my job and college that I have not had enough time to write the next chapter. Hopefully this will make up for it. Enjoy. From Chapter 2 Now people were giggling and laughing about what Eli and I said and people wanted to look into our eyes to see what we were talking about. As class was leaving Eli and I had a line of guys and girls wanting to look at our eyes. As they did we both got pretty much the same response as we had talked about in class. My line had finished first so I packed up my stuff and headed outside. As I was heading out that angelic voice that could only belong to Eli called out, "Hey, wait up." Chapter 3 I turned around said, "yea," and continued walking backward thinking that he got mad at what I said. I thought that he is new in the class and I embarrassed him on his first day in the class he is probably mad at me. Eli jogged up to me and I stopped. He said, "I'm sorry I didn't really introduce myself my name is Eli Yazdani." I shook his hand and said, "Alistair MacNaughton." "Scottish?" He asked "Yea, very Scottish but I was born in America it's just what my parents decided to name me. In America, that I know of, it is very unique. I haven't met another person named Alistair ever before. What about your name, last name I mean." I told him this as I was wondering about his last name and we started walking again "Persian." He simply said. "You don't look very middle eastern." I said thinking to my self and then I said without thinking, "Just a little bit exotic, but beautiful." As soon as I said it I realized what I had said and started freaking out and probably blushing. He stopped my worries by blushing very slightly and in a quieter voice said, "Thanks." I still kept thinking to myself why do I have to blurt out stuff like that when he interrupted my thoughts by saying, "I'm sorry if I embarrassed you in class. I didn't try to. I don't do that kind of thing where I go up and embarrass people just because I can. I don't get a kick out of that. I didn't just make that up to say it I truly meant it. Butt seriously now you must get tons of complements all the time about your eyes." "Well not all the time I don't let very many people get close to me. Not in a physical you're standing too close to me but just generally." I said. Uhhhh why am I saying these things so unabashedly. I covered up what I said before by saying, "I didn't do it to embarrass you either, I truly meant it. What about you, you must get tons of complements. I mean Jesus, seriously your eyes are absolutely beautiful." "No not really. I usually ge." I interrupted him by saying, "what do you mean?" "Usually people say what a strange color or why would you chose contacts that color. I try to tell them that they are not contacts but they usually just brush it off as me lying. You're one of the few people who actually realized they are not contacts and my eyes are really that color. You are also one of the few people who have given me a compliment on their color and now how weird they are." He told me. He said the last sentence a little quieter and a tad embarrassed. I didn't know what to say to that, so I said an awkward, "you're welcome." Before I had even realized it I had walked to the edge of campus and crossed the street to where I park my truck. (my truck at this point is almost fully restored). I stopped at my truck and said, "huh." "What," he asked me. "Just got so caught up in talking that I didn't even realize that I had walked all the way over here." I told him. "Me too," he said. "You're just really easy to get along with and talk to." I started blushing but tried to counteract that with saying in a joking sort of way, "I try." He laughed at that. Oh my god his laugh was also wonderful. One of those laughs that wrap around you and lift your sprit up. One of those laughs that seem to make everyone around the person happy just by hearing the laugh. `holly shit,' I thought to my self. `I am getting even more caught up in him than I am with John.' "Is this your truck," he asked looking where I had stopped. "yea, my dad and I have been restoring it for a couple of years. It gets horrible gas mileage but I like it." I told him. "Bet you pick up the chicks in it," he said. "No, not really," I said kind of slowly. To which he cocked his head ever so slightly and raised an eyebrow, also ever so slightly. "Come on, look at you and your truck," he told me. "It's not like that," I told him. "What do you mean," he kind of forced and asked inquisitively. "You wouldn't understand," I told him. He saw me getting defensive and how uncomfortable it made me and said, "whatever." He said it in a way like I am going to find out but some other time. As soon as he said that I changed the subject by saying, "where did you park?" "Over on the other end by Land Park Dr." he said. "Want a ride over there," I asked. "Sure," he said. He then threw his stuff in back and went over to the passenger side where I followed him. "Don't you have to drive," he said jokingly. "Yea but all of these trucks only had one outside lock on them on the passenger side. What people would do was park on the curb, lock their door, climb over and out the passenger side door and lock it there. It eliminated the hazard of getting out into traffic." I told him. "that's pretty cool," he said. We got in and drove over to his car where I was able to pull up behind and off the road because people had been leaving school leaving empty parking spaces. "Thanks for the ride." He stuck out his hand. "Talk to you nex." He stopped right there when I reached out and clasped his hand in a hand shake. As soon as I grabbed his hand this warm tingly feeling swept through my entire body enveloping me giving me goose bumps. Not the bad goose bumps but the ones that you can feel but barely see. He held on and looked right at me as I was pulling my gaze from our hands to his face. He furrowed his eyebrows in an inquisitive way and said quietly, "I knew it." At that point he got out of the truck rather fast and got his stuff and walked toward his car, turned and waved. I gave a half hearted wave as I started thinking what the fuck did he mean by that. He stopped in the middle of his sentence and looked up; he must have felt something also. He said, `I knew it.' Oh shit, no, NO. There is no way that he knows that I am gay, he can't. Maybe he does and that's why he got out so fast because he dose not want to be around me. Oh shit, shit, shit please don't turn out like high school. Oh god no. I know I just won't go to school the next day and maybe things will cool down. "Alistair." Eli said. I snapped my head sideways to see him sitting in my truck. I looked at him with wide eyes and then forward and thought fuck where did he come from. His car wasn't parked in front of me any more. I looked back and it was behind me. Shit. I started panicking started fumbling with the handle on my side and opened the door and getting out rather fast. "Stop Alistair," he said. Nope I wasn't stopping, I didn't even shut my door I got out and started walking fast across the street into the park. I heard both of my doors shut. I glanced back and saw him walking after me. I freaked out and started running. Oh shit he is going to beat me up. Why do I have to revel so much about me and ruin everything? "Please, Alistair, Stop," he called after me. Nope not stopping I told my self not going to let anything happen to me. I was running along this train and through a thicket of trees to all of a sudden come to a halt because the path ended in a little area to sit in the middle of these trees. I turned around to run the other way and there Eli was like 10' away from me. "Please," he pleaded putting his hands up near his chest in a half hearted way to show me that he wasn't going to hurt me. I looked around and there was no way to run so I thought fuck it and I plopped down on one of the benches out of breath. He came and sat down beside me and said, "what's wrong? Why were you running I just wanted to talk." "You wouldn't understand," I said very defensively. "Try me," he told me. "It's just something that happened in high school." I said. "By the way why did you come back?" "Because as a drove away you were just sitting in your truck staring straight ahead with a blank look and your face was pale." He told me. "All I did was drive around the block and come back to see what was wrong. All I was going to do was drive by but you were still here, still pale, still looking ahead. You didn't even notice me till I was in your truck. And don't dodge the subject. What's wrong?" "Nothing," I said trying to get him to drop the subject. "Tell me," He said. "Something that happened in high school that's all." I told him still trying to get him to drop the subject. "Tell me," he said. "No," I said. "Tell me," he said once again. "Fine if you really want to know. I'm gay OK. I hope that makes you fucking happy. In high school I got raped because of that and I thought I had a boyfriend the next year after that but he really wasn't. He was a friend of the people who raped me the year before and they blackmailed me. That is the reason I fucking freak out anytime people get close to me that is the reason if people find out I'm gay I freak out OK. I'm not normal I'm fucked up in the head because of that and I haven't been able to be normal since." I told him. As I was telling him this I had started crying and remembering what had happened. He had pulled me into a hug and was holding me as I was telling him this and crying into his chest. What can anyone say to that so he said, "I'm sorry." I thought that was all he was going to say but he also said, "I'm not like that." After a pause he said, "When we did the staring thing not only did I see what I told you I saw but I also saw hurt, saw that you were guarding something, saw a untold secret, saw you were also afraid. When you stare into someone's eyes for 7 minutes you see a hell of a lot about that person that they don't always want other people to know." I was still crying but less than before. He told me just a minute and got up and sat down long ways on the bench and told me to spin into him so my back was against his chest and his legs were on either side of me. His chin was resting on my right shoulder. He wrapped one arm around my stomach and one hand on my chest He then told me in a soft voice right into my ear to relax and take deep breaths. God this was so comforting, I was able to tell someone and they were comforting me and understanding. He didn't beat me. I was still crying but less than before. He just held me tightly while whispering into my ear, "shh, shh, shh, shh. Calm down its all right. I'm not going to hurt you. Calm down." It helped and I stopped crying but I was just sitting there leaning back into him liking the comfort that this situation offered me. I sat there with my eyes closed just drinking in the healing feeling of being in his arms, of him ever so gently rocking me, of him period. He broke the silence of what seemed forever by quietly whispering into my ear. Come on lets get going back to our cars, its getting dark. I opened my eyes and sure-as-shit it was getting dark. "How long have we been out here?" I asked. "A while." He simply said. I got up so he could get up and he was immediately right back on my left side draping an arm around me on the waist. We walked back to our vehicles stuck to each other. When we got to our vehicles we stopped. I turned to him and said quietly, "Thank you Eli, thank you for everything. Don't know if you know but you helped a lot." He pulled me in so our hips and foreheads were touching. Of course he was leaning down slightly. "You're welcome Big Al." Oooh. I liked it when he said that. We stood like that for another couple of minutes just drinking in each other. He then gave me a quick kiss on the lips, pulled away and said, "see you next class." At that he started walking to his car. I walked over after he had gotten in and he rolled down his window. I leaned down onto the window sill and said once again, "I really mean it, thanks." He laughed that wonderful laugh and said, "you're welcome." "Just a second," he said. He leaned over and wrote something on a piece of paper put it into my hand and held on. "Call me if you need anything." At that he let go and put his hand on my neck pulling me into the car and giving me another kiss. This time it was longer. He pulled away gently biting my lower lip until my lip slid out of his mouth. "See you later Big Al." I leaned back out of the car and walked back to my truck. I waved as he slowly passed me going to his home. I got into my truck and looked at the number on the piece of paper he had given me. It was his home and cell number and at the bottom he had written, `I will thinking about you.' I smiled and drove home. More to come. I love to get e-mails. Please e-mail me. Love, Scott Macilherron
