Date: Wed, 21 May 2003 10:22:17 -0700 From: Steve Thomas Subject: Dennys-Coming-Out, Chapter 6 This is a fictional story. It is based on many experiences and fantasies of the author. If you are really into graphic sex, it may not satisfy your purpose for coming here. If you like to hear of real love and real teen angst, with a little sex thrown in, you are in the right place. There may be some amount of graphic sex between males. If this is objectionable to you, or you are legally too young to be here, you are cordially invited to press your back button. Characters: Denny (Dennis Andrew Miggs), 20 Garth Roth, 22 Randy Small, 24 Bob, Denny's Brother 3 years older Gail, Bob's wife Jack, Denny's oldest brother, 9 years older Jack's son's, Jacky, Bobby And DennyToo Denny's dad Denny's mom Ray, Denny's dad's Deputy D.A. friend Randy's mom and step dad, who shall remain nameless. >From Chapter 5: It was hard for Randy to talk, he was sobbing so hard. "Get out of bed." Garth commanded. "What -- why?" "Just do it -- get out of bed!" While he was getting out, Garth whispered to me -- "follow my lead -- and don't -- uh -- well -- no genital contact!" I was clueless. But he motioned for me to follow him. Randy was sitting on the edge of the bed. Garth stood up and beckoned for Randy to stand. He was emotional enough by now that he just did as he was told. Garth took him in his arms, and again motioned to me to get on his backside. We held him between us, being careful not to smother him -- or to do anything that would be considered sexually provocative. He just stood there for a moment, but then he moved closer to Garth, putting his cheek on Garth's chest. Garth told me with his eyes to close the gap. We must have stood there for 7 or 8 minutes. All during this time, Randy went from sobbing to sniffing, to breathing hard, to breathing softer. I felt his heart slow down. And then a long shuddering, high pitched sigh. "You're gonna be okay, Dude!" Garth said, softly. Randy looked at him and squeezed him harder and then kissed his cheek. Then Garth said, "You can talk about this any time, if you want to, Dude. But now you know that we know and that we love you no matter what. Shall we go to bed now?" "Yeah." Randy whispered hoarsely. Chapter 6 Next morning, Dad came by and knocked lightly at our door, but did not try opening it. (It was locked, anyway!) He probably was afraid to! I awoke with a start -- and a very demanding pee woody! Well, maybe it wasn't ALL pee-woody, since Garth's hand was on it, and he was facing me, his own monster pressing into my hip, and his face slobbering in the crook of my neck. Both of the other guys were still asleep. I carefully glanced over at Randy. He had thrown off his blanket and had some pretty serious wood going on himself -- sticking straight through his pajama fly. Funny -- all this time, and this was the first time I ever saw him hard. "Time to get up guys!" I said, purposely diverting my eyes from Randy's "problem". But I noticed that he quickly changed positions. He was on the outside, so he carefully got up, keeping his back to us and went to the bathroom to relieve himself. While he was gone, I hugged my lover good morning, our rigid staffs fighting for position. When we heard the toilet flush, we extricated ourselves from one another. Randy came back, his tented drawers barely subsided. Garth was next. He sparsely covered his proudness with his hand as he limped to the bathroom. I stretched, and sat up, still under the covers. "How do you feel this morning, Bro?" I asked Randy. He smiled shyly. "I'm all right. I guess -- well -- I mean - " Garth came out the bathroom door, and Randy continued. "That was so -- awesome -- what you did for me last night! Where did you guys learn that?" He was looking at me. I shrugged. I didn't have a clue! Garth said, "It was something my cousin showed to me awhile back. He taught me that if a person just would give in to it, hug therapy can be very good stuff." "Well, anyway, I liked it. I felt not only better, but -- actually I felt energized somehow. Thanks." "Well, you know,", Garth said, "You can talk to your `brothers' any time about anything." "Thanks." "You guys getting ready for breakfast?" my dad hollered through the door. "We're gettin' there!" I hollered back. "10 minutes!" he shot back. "We'll be ready!" We quickly got dressed, shaved and whipped our hair into shape, and presented ourselves at the table in plenty of time. "You boys sleep okay last night?" My mom said. "You surely got out here in record time!" "They're still growing boys!" My dad quipped. "HUNGRY growing boys, if they're normal! AND - - - being boys, it should come as no surprise that they can be ready in 10 minutes!" "Meaning?" My mom said, defensively. "Meaning," said Dad, "that it doesn't take much for a guy to look good -- whereas it takes a woman 1/2 the day. Which also should come as no surprise!" "You're digging a hole for yourself!" My mom warned. Undaunted he continued: "Well, after all, look at the rest of the animal kingdom! It's always the male which is more beautiful!" He winked us, and, strange as it seems, Randy was the only one to blush. "Well, that's interesting that you consider yourself an animal, DEAR! I suppose that's why the next door dog always goes for YOUR leg!" She said feigning indignity. "And I challenge you to say that you are prettier than I am!" Then she added, "But remember where you're sleeping tonight!" "Man they are in rare form this morning!" I thought to myself. Even though my brothers were not yet home, Mom put a wonderful spread out for breakfast. She had freshly made hot rolls in several flavors, bacon, scrambled eggs in a warmer, and lots of cut up fresh fruit. I was used to this, but especially Randy just stared, his mouth agape. All of a sudden a huge sob came out of him. We all turned toward him and his eyes were full of tears. "What's the matter, dear," my mom said, concerned, "Did you choke on something?" He waved and shook his head, then croaked out, "It just so -- amazing -- to see how an ordinary family works!" and he sobbed again. My dad still had not quite caught the gravity of the situation. "You callin' my family ordinary, boy?" Dad was only kidding, but now Randy was defensive. "It's just -- it's -- it's -- just that -- I'm sorry, but if my mom ever put out a breakfast like this my step-dad would be demanding from her if she came into her own money!" "Your dad is the frugal type, eh?" my dad said. "HE'S NOT my DAD!" Randy blurted out, now crying openly. "And he's NOT frugal. He buys whatever he WANTS -- for himself! He's a fucking ass hole!" Everyone went silent! As soon as he said it, it was obvious he wanted to take it back. He ran out to the hallway. My dad followed him. I started also, but Dad stopped me. "Son!" he called after Randy. "Don't run! It's okay! Well, the language is not really okay -- but it's evident that there is a problem at home. Please come back to the table." Then more quietly, "It's okay, son -- really it is." Randy stopped. He turned and looked toward my dad. "I'm so sorry, Mr. Miggs! I'm so, SO sorry!" he blubbered. "Well, you better tell my wife that, son. And we're all a little -- uh -- well, as surprised as you seem to be -- at your -- uh -- outbur -- your -- uh - " "Dad," I said, "His step dad has really abused - " Randy was shaking his head violently, so I shut up. "What's he done to you?" Dad pressed. "How old are you, son?" "24." "Really?" Dad looked incredulous. Randy looked about 17. "How -- when -- er -- well I guess -- Randy -- when was the last time -- the last time he -- was -- uh -- abusive to you?" "When I left for school in September." Randy said to the floor. "Wow!" Dad replied. He walked to Randy and put his arm around his shoulders. Randy shrunk away. "Randy, I don't suppose you want to talk about this - " Randy was already shaking his head no. "but you really need to talk to someone about it. You're safe here, Randy. Completely safe." Randy sighed and shuddered, and finally looked my dad in the eye. Blinking back more tears, he said, "Mr. Miggs, you really shouldn't - " "Well, yeah, really I should, Randy. I'm not an attorney, but I work for several. I am a P.I." "A P.I.?" Randy said. "A private investigator." Dad explained. "How long has your mom been married to this guy?" "9 years." Randy said. "And how long has he been -- er -- what kind of abuse?" Dad asked. Randy looked perplexed what to tell him. Emotional? Physical?" "Both." "For how long?" "Nine years." "So you were 15 when he started -- um -- what did he do to you? This is definitely a case for the district attorney!" Randy looked at me, then at Garth, and then to my dad, then back to me. I nodded encouragement, and said, "You can tell him." Randy completely broke down. He haltingly said, "He started to come into my bed about two months after they were married." "What?!! It was sexual, too?" Randy nodded. "Randy, are you -- do you -- you have a perfect case for sexual abuse. Are you interested in pressing it?" "I don't want to make trouble for my mom and - " "And that's why so many go unpunished, son. I can help you if you want. You're a grown man now, but that does not excuse him from his attacks." "I don't know sir. I just -- I -- I wanna think about it. I hate him, but -- still -- my mom - " "Your mom, who probably knows on some level that this has been going on." My dad said matter-of-factly. Okay, you think about it. but remember -- I have contacts." "I'm go --go -- going over there this --this -- this afternoon." He studdered. "What? They live that close?" I spoke up. "They are just across the freeway, Dad." "Certainly you're not going alone!" Dad said. "No, we're going with him." I said. "Can I go?" Dad asked. Randy nodded. He took a huge shuddering breath and added, "And as long as I'm there, I want to get my stuff." "Your stuff?" "He won't let me take my stuff. My clothes, my stereo, my laptop. He keeps me coming back that way, I guess." "We're getting your `stuff', Randy -- all of it. After breakfast -- no! After my other two sons get here. We'll take my pickup and fill it up! Is there more than can be put in an 8-foot pickup bed?" Randy shook his head. "I don't know where I'm gonna put it, is the only thing" "We'll keep it here for now." Dad said. And speaking of for now, the food is getting cold." "No it's not!" my mom said, "It's all on warmers!" For a "kid" who had just been through what he just did, Randy ate like it was his last meal! He was going to wait until after Thanksgiving dinner to go to his folks' house, but considering what happened before breakfast, we decided to go as soon as Jack and Bob got there. Bob was smaller than I by about an inch, but Jack was 2 inches taller and about 50 pounds heavier. As we started for the pickup truck and the car, Randy started almost trembling. "Need a little energy, Dude?" Garth said. Randy looked at all the guys there, and just nodded. "We're gonna give him some energy, folks!" Garth said. He and I surrounded Randy and I motioned to my dad to join us. "I've heard of this, but never seen it. Sure. Boys?" He said to Jack and Bob. They looked confused. "Just do what we do!" Dad said. So all five of us surrounded Randy, with Garth and me at his front and rear. Dad asked my mom to join in as well. "Easy, now," Garth said. "We don't wanna smother him -- just give him some energy." When we got to Randy's house, we came quietly in the back door. His mom was cooking. She turned around, and was kind of shocked to see all these men in her kitchen, but immediately saw her son. "Randy -- baby! What a surprise!" She said. >From the other room, came a slurring voice. "Is that the little boy with the even littler dick?" He rounded into the doorway. He had on tighty-anything but --whiteys, and an equally stained undershirt, a beer in his hand. "Wut're you - " Then he saw all of us. "Wuts goin' on?" He demanded. He belched. "I've come for my stuff." Randy said evenly. The drunk looked at all of us, as if to be sizing us up. "You can't barge into my home and - " "Beg you pardon, sir," Dad said. "but we CAN! This is where Randy's property is and we're helping him move it." "I don't care wut he's - " My brother Jack -- all 230 pounds of him -- strode up and stopped inches away from Randy's step-dad. He towered over him. "I care. And I expect that if you don't move out of the way, I'll have to move you." It was said evenly and softly. "I'm callin' the cops!" "Oh!" Dad said. "PLEASE do that. It will make this SO much easier." We took trip after trip from the house to the truck. Randy just pointed out what was his and we carried it all. As we left, Randy's mom looked at her son with tears in her eyes. He looked back at her. He must have been cried out for the day. As we were walking away, we heard his step dad yelling, "How come you let them in here. You knew all about this didn't you, you bitch?" We could not hear her reply, but Randy flinched hard as we heard the "SLAP!" Randy jumped into the truck beside my dad, and I rode shotgun. "Yes." Randy said quietly. "What?" Dad said. "Do whatever it is you need to do sir -- to prosecute that bastard!! "I'll get right on it." As soon as we were home and unloaded into the garage, Dad called his friend, Ray. "Yeah -- just a minute Ray." Dad asked us if we were going to be around Friday afternoon. I told him we were here all weekend. "Yeah, Ray, tomorrow afternoon will be great. See you." He hung up the phone and said, "My friend Ray is a Deputy District Attorney. He's the best there is! He'll be here tomorrow afternoon to talk to us." Randy looked worried -- almost to the point of being scared. "Don't worry, yet, son, for now -- or tomorrow -- everything is off the record. You will have plenty of time to decide. Besides, without your cooperation, they can't do anything." Randy's shoulders immediately relaxed. We watched an instant rerun of the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade, and then dinner was ready. When we came into the dinner table, Randy stopped cold, said, "Omigod!" and started to cry again. Jacks boys looked bemused at that! Again Randy apologized and said he had never seen anything like the spread before him. Garth had sympathy tears in his eyes. After dinner we cleaned up the dishes, and then played games in the back yard with the little boys. When it was too dark, we adjourned to the house. Jack's wife took the boys into the big bathroom and got them ready for bed. Mom and Dad brought out the desserts. I was afraid Randy was going to start up again, but he didn't. We ate dessert and Jack, Bob and I and the guys went into the den to just sit around and talk. There was a game on then TV, college ball, but nothing anyone was interested in. We talked about everything except what was on everyone's mind: our meeting tomorrow with Ray. It was like a big elephant in the room that everyone pretended was not there. We split us and went into our bedroom. With all the people there, and with Bob in the other room adjoining the bathroom, Garth and I behaved ourselves. We didn't even shower together. It was a long day, and we were all tired. Randy looked the worst. He looked like he was wound up tighter than a drum. As we hit the bed, I said, "Randy, why don't you sleep next to the wall tonight. I woke up this morning before you guys and I was about to explode, trying to hold it until you woke up." As we lay there, and the tension drained out of us, Randy started to sigh and then quietly sob. I was afraid to touch him. Finally he said, I'm -- I don't know what to -- to -- say. I can't seem to stop it." Garth's head was already on one of my shoulders, on his side and his leg over the top of my body. I just reached over and tilted Randy's head onto my other shoulder. That seemed to give him permission to let it all out. He must have cried, softly for ten minutes straight. Of course both Garth and I were crying with him. I lay straight on my back, and I was staring at the ceiling. First Randy's breathing became slow and even, then Garth's. Finally, I drifted off, with a nose in each ear. I slept soundly. We all did. As usual, I woke up first. I opened my eyes, and then closed them again. Everything was still foggy and fuzzy. I opened them again, and was looking directly into Bob's eyes. I was aware of Garth, lying half on me, cradling my head. I was also aware that Randy had moved as far toward the wall as he could get. It then occurred to me: Randy was sleeping under the same covers as we were this time. My brother motioned to me to come into his room. I somehow extricated myself from Garth without waking him. As soon as I got into Bob's room, he said, "What's going on, little brother?" "In what way?" I said as if I didn't know. "Yesterday, as we surrounded your friend for `energy', I saw the way you were looking at Garth over Randy's shoulder." "What are you - " I started to protest. "And now I see you and Garth wrapped up like two peas in a pod -- no! Like two lovers in a blanket!" He said. "Are you two -- or three - an item?" "NO!" I exclaimed. "Not at all!" He looked deeply into my eyes and smirked. I never could lie to Bob. "Not the three of us." I looked at the floor. "You and Garth?" "Yeah --but please don't - " I started. "say anything to the folks?" he finished. "Don't worry, Denny. You know I would not! But do you think that they don't already know? I mean, DUH!" "Oh, god, Bob! Is it that -- that -- obvious?" "I don't know. It is to me, after finding you two this morning, but -- I don't know. I wondered about it last night. I asked Gail if she - " "You said something to Gail??!!" I said incredulously. "She's my wife, Denny! We don't have secrets." She said she would not have thought anything, if I hadn't said anything, and of course she didn't see you guys in the hug circle. But she -- well, maybe the rest would not notice." "I don't -- I just - " I started, "I don't want to tell them yet." "Your choice, bro. But -- don't live a lie -- for too long." The door was closed, but we heard someone close the other door and then heard peeing in the toilet. "We can talk later, Denny - If you want. I'm -- uh -- okay with it, by the way." "Thanks, Bobby!" I hadn't called him that for years. "You're the best!" "You know, Denny," he started again, "It's not exactly a huge shock." "I know. But I wanted to believe no one knew. I wasn't sure myself until last year just before school was out." "You mean you didn't ADMIT it until then." "Yeah." We heard the toilet flush. I opened the bathroom door and went back. Garth was up and getting dressed. Randy was still sleeping like the dead. "We'll just go out and get our own breakfast." I said. "What, no big breakfast feast for the rest of the family?" "We never do that after a big holiday meal." I said as I took off the boxers I was sleeping in. (I was sleeping in them for Randy's sake) I was standing there, my back and bare butt toward Randy's sleeping form, when Garth grabbed me and put his tongue down my throat. We were thus engaged, my crotch just starting to swell, when we heard, "AHEM! Hi!" We stopped what we were doing. "Sorry Randy," I said, "thought you were asleep." "It's okay -- I'm getting used to it. And besides, I've never felt so much love anywhere as I have in this house. Do you know how lucky you are?" "I think maybe I do." I said, remembering the confrontation at Randy's mom's house. I turned my head and smiled at Randy. "This is going to be the longest day of my life!" Randy said. "Waiting for that D.A to come over!" "Oh! Yeah, I suppose." I said. "What do you think. Do you think you will go through with it?" "You mean pressing charges?" "Yeah." "For now, I think so. It kind of also depends on what this Ray says." "I think he will go for it. My dad's pretty experienced with this stuff. If he thinks it will fly, I tend to believe him." "Yeah, I suppose." Randy said. "Can I ask you a favor?" "Anything dude." "Could you put some clothes on?" I had turned toward him and was standing there in the nude, my six shooter fully loaded, chatting with him like I was fully clothed! I immediately turned around and found a clean pair of boxers. "Sorry!" I said as I headed to the toilet to relieve myself. (It was a half pee/half Garth woody, but at full mast!) I love the day after a holiday! Everyone is so laid back and happy! When I came back from the toilet, Randy was up, though still in his pajamas, and he was hugging Garth. "You felt left out, huh, Randy?" I said. "You guys are -- well, it's hard to express how I feel. I've never felt -- loved -- before. I didn't even know it existed. Oh, I heard it talked about -- even thought I felt it in the past, but - - now I know it was not love at all. Whatever it was, it was always dependant upon performance. I know you guys love me -- no matter what I am or what I do." Tears again sprang from his eyes. "I'm sorry, it's just so new to me! And - - it goes both ways! It's weird! I don't pretend to understand how you two must feel for each other, but six months ago I would have -- well -- not been very nice about it. Now it's like -- I don't care that you're gay. I just have this total all-consuming good feeling toward you. I guess that's love!" He smiled through his tears, then turned to me and spread his arms. We got dressed and hit the kitchen. Jack's boys were already hitting the Capt. Crunch (with Cunch-berries!) They were gigglin like little boys do before they learn it is not "manly" to giggle. I looked at them with a certain amount of envy. Then I looked at my two recently new friends and had to swallow hard to not tear up again myself. "I fixed some hot links and eggs for us, as well as some toast and orange juice. I knew Bob was up and I figured with the boys out here, Jack was too, so I made enough for the whole bunch. Bob came out and sat down. "So," Bob started, "what are we gonna do to keep Randy occupied today?" Just about that time, Jack showed up. "Well, I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm taking the kids to Seal Beach. It's kinda cold there, but the boys don't care! They love playing in the sand." "You mean the sand and the tar!" Bob said. "Take them to Huntington. It's cleaner." "Yeah, but the surf is too big there for the kids. I can deal with the tar. You guys wanna come with us?" I didn't want to say anything about Disneyland with the boys sitting there, but I might not have worried about it. Jack said, "We were gonna take them to Disneyland, but I think tomorrow will be better for that." Again it was Bob who spoke up. "Jack, think about it. Tomorrow is Saturday. At least today some people will be working. It will be like closing day there tomorrow. You don't want to take the kids there with those crowds, do you?" "Hmmm. You are probably right. Today would be better. Anyone wanna come with us? We could use the help with the kids." I looked at Garth. "Ever been to Disneyland?" "Once when I was about 6. I'm game. It would be fun with the kids." "Well, living so close, we've been there a lot. I'm sure that Randy has been there a thousand times too!" "Actually, I've only been once. I'd like to go," Randy said. Your shittin me!" I said, "Oops, sorry kids! But -- only once? What's that about? We almost lived there!" Then I saw the hurt look on his face. Me and my big mouth. It just seemed obvious that anyone growing up in Garden Grove - " "But it's kinda expensive isn't it? The ass hole (oops! Sorry Jack!) never let us go anywhere that cost more than the price of McDonalds! He was a real -- well you know! I -- don't think - " "I'm treating everyone!" My dad came into the kitchen, with was suddenly seeming very small. "It's my privilege as the Grampa!" "Mr. Miggs, your not my Grampa -- or even my dad!" "I am today! And I won't take no for an answer!" Mom opted out, and so did my sisters-in-law, so it was an all-male outing. It was great! No moms to worry about runny noses and slow down the progress with mommy things. Why do women -- mommies - always seem to get all caught up in mechanics? We ran all over the park. Even my dad kept up. He seemed to be rejuvenated by his grandsons. There were plenty of us to watch the boys, so Jack and all of us got to go on all the rides which the kids were too little to get on. Garth was particularly fascinated with Storybook Land. It is a boat ride, where there is a miniature of everything! Trees, bushes, and homes. The theme is Mr. Toad's Wild Ride (Wind in the Willows). They really do it up grand at Disneyland. We were all very tired coming home. We three gave jack a break, and each sat next to a sleepy boy, his head on our lap. As soon as we got home, Dad called Ray. He was waiting for the call, and came right over. Poor Randy was almost vibrating, he was so nervous. "I am afraid," Ray said, "that I am a bit passionate about this. I cannot countenance child abuse. And violent sexual abuse is the worst. I have to tell you up front though, Randy, it could get ugly. It could -- probably will -- implicate your mom. I'm not trying to discourage you -- only want you to know up front what we're getting in to. Too often people back out the last minute because of these reasons." "I -- uh -- I understand. I don't want to hurt my mom, but -- I uh-" "Do YOU think she knew he was abusing you?" Randy looked at the floor. "I told her." "But she would not believe you." "No." "It is such a familiar story. Randy, you don't want to hurt your mom. That's understandable. But she did not mind you getting hurt, because for whatever reason, she felt she needed to stay with this monster. I know where you live. It is a very nice neighborhood." "Nicer than this one!" my dad added. "So maybe her thing was security. But to put her only son at risk for her security -- that's not -- well, it's not worthy of your fidelity, as far as I am concerned." "I -- it's just so hard." Randy said. "I know it is. I've seen it hundreds of times." "Ray, can he think about it awhile?" my dad asked. "Yes, but not for long, I'm afraid. From your story, it sounds like you have pretty much enraged him. And you say he is a heavy drinker? He may do something -- something really bad if you give him enough time." "What -- what is -- enough time?" Randy asked. "How much time would your guess I have to decide?" "I can't answer that intelligently, except to tell you I would be there tonight if you gave me the go ahead." Randy stared at the floor for a few moments. "Go ahead." "What?" Ray said. "Go ahead. Tonight, if you really meant it." "You're sure? I can get an order from Judge Stephens just by calling him from here. I can pick it up on the way over there." "I'm sure." Randy said to the floor. "Just do it before I change my mind!" "Nope!" Ray said. "You don't get to change your mind. And you could! I need to know that you WON'T change your mind before I start this process!" Randy raised his head and looked Ray in the eyes. "Do it, Ray! I won't back out -- I won't change my mind!" "Okay, Here goes!" He called the judge and got the order to arrest. "Do -- do I -- have to -- go with you?" "No." As a matter of fact I would not let you. I will go there with another officer and we will take him in. I'll let you know as soon as we have him in custody, in case you want to talk to your mother. But don't talk to her before -- understand?" "Yes." Randy said gravely. Notes: I promise you this was not even in my mind when I started writing. It just came. Comments are welcome: To Steve at s4d@hotmail.com. Thanks. And love, Steve
