Hopefully some of you out there will read this and hopefully like it some bit. This story is not one of those "Teach me how to play pool. Well, first you get a hold of your `stick'" stories. It's just about a college guy trying to find the right person. So if that disinterests you, you should stop reading. Otherwise, read on. The story may be a little slow, but it will eventually pick up around the following parts to come. If you have any comments, e-mail me at Streyn@hotmail.com Thanks to all the people who have been e-mailing me. It's good to know people are actually reading this. And those of you who are reading this and want to e-mail me but don't, please do. Don't worry, I don't bite. I'm a really nice person. So I welcome any comments about my story. This story is completely fictional. So any similarities you may see are purely coincidental. In other words, don't bite my ass off if it just so happens that you're life just happens to be exactly like the one in this story. Also, if you are under age or it is illegal for you to be reading this, then go away now. Don't want you reading something you shouldn't now. Also, if these kinds of stories are not to your liking, you should leave as well -------------- CHAPTER 9 It was Christmas Eve. My whole family had come back from church. Like I said, my aunt's family comes down from Canada to spend Christmas with us. My home is like a crazy house around this time. People everywhere, talking, laughing. We were all taking pictures in front of the Christmas tree. Every Christmas, my dad would pretend he was Santa and then hand out the Christmas presents, which we would all open right at midnight. Even 18 years later, he still did the same thing. But now it was more for my little cousins. So you must be wondering what happened with Will and me in the past few days since he was in the hospital. Well, after two days, they let him out, but he has to use a wheelchair unfortunately. He's also pretty much bed ridden unless his parents approve of his going out. Of course, he went home to his own house and I to mine. But we did share some romantic moments when we were in the hospital as odd as that sounds. Everyday since then I pretty much talk to him on the phone for almost the whole time, and almost usually about random things. Movies, sports, food, people, news. Anything just so that we could hear each other. When I got home from the hospital, my mom was still a little mad at me. Of course it didn't last since she needed my help. As a result, I couldn't really visit Will because my parents tied me down at home since my relatives had come down. At the current time, it was around 1 a.m. Most of the smaller kids were asleep because Santa Clause only comes when they are asleep. The parents went off on their own chat, and the teenagers and twenty something's had their own talk. While Sofia, Allison, my cousin Tim, and I were talking, I got a call on my cell phone. I knew immediately who it was. Of course, I started smiling instantly I heard the ring tone, which caused serious questioning, looks for Tim and Allison. Sofia already knew about Will, but they didn't. And I wasn't planning on letting them know it was Will, whom neither of them had actually met. "Ooh, Dave, who is that? I can tell it someone important. You are red as the wine." "Yah yah. It's just one of my friends most likely saying Merry Christmas." Tim interjected. "GIRL friend? Eh?" "You can go `eh' yourself you Canuck. Now both of you stop teasing me." "Fine." They both relented and went on with the conversation without me. I picked up my cell phone. "Hey babe." I liked the sound of that. It was a new thing between us two, calling each other love names or whatnot. "Hey. How's Christmas going for you?" "Still a little loud. We quieted down since the littler ones are asleep. But we older ones are still up. How about you? Have you enjoyed your Christmas so far?" "Yah. I mean, it's obviously a lot quieter here than it is at your house. But pretty much, my Christmas has been sort of sad." "Why do you say that? What, you didn't get a present you wanted or something?" "Yah. Actually, you hit it right on target." "So what didn't you get?" "You." "Aw you're so sweet. I wish I were there with you too. Or you here. I really want to be with you right now." "Me too. I wish I could just drive to you and spend Christmas with you." "Hey! No driving. Remember what happened last time? Besides, what's been happening with your leg and arm? Any difference from the last time we talked?" "Well, the arm is healing pretty quickly. It feels a lot better than it did a few hours ago. I can actually touch it without it hurting like crazy. But my leg still hurts like mad. The doctor said I will probably be in the cast for two months, might have to get a metal plate to help the bone grow properly, and even then, a wheelchair for maybe until I go back up to college, and when I do get to Boston, I'll be using crutches." That just made me depressed. I probably wouldn't be able to see him that much now over Christmas break. I mean, my mom was now pretty reluctant to see me drive to Baltimore. Plus, if I drove too many times, no doubt my parents would notice something was up. "That's sad. I hope I'll still be able to visit." "Of course. My parents said visitors are welcomed any time. In fact, we're having a Christmas party on the 26 th. Does your family have any plans then?" "No. That would be great. Plus, we also have the excuse of Sofia and Jeff." "How long do you thing this will last?" "What do you mean?" "This charade. Well, what I really mean is, how long are we going to keep this from our parents? Neither of us really wants to tell them, but they're all bound to find out some time or later. When do you think is going to be the right time to tell them?" "I don't know. I guess have been avoiding that subject." "Anyways, we can always talk about that later. I really just want to think about you." I loved him. He was so sweet. And such a great guy. I went up to my room and we talked some more. Our conversation was cut short when Tim came into my room. He was sharing my room. "Anyways, Will, I have to go now. I'll talk to later." I whispered "I love you." "I love you too." And he hung up. Tim looked all mischievous. "Soooooo, you sure that wasn't your girlfriend?" "Drop it Tim. You know how rumors are spread in this family. And don't try tricking me into saying I have a girlfriend either. I don't want to find out tomorrow that I am going out with some girl named Tina. ok?" "Ok ok. I was just kidding." Tim loved to joke around. So Christmas day went on. We had a big breakfast/lunch/dinner with our family and friends. The house was on constant rotation, guests coming in and out of the house. We basically cooked lots of food, set it on the table around 11 a.m., and let people go at it. While Sofia and I were stirring some sauces, I asked her, "So, tomorrow, did Jeff tell you?" "Yah. Are we going?" "I guess. All we have to do is ask mom and dad. Relatives are all leaving in the morning, so we don't really have to worry about them." "I suppose. So I guess this means we'll be using my relationship as the excuse to go?" "Sorry Sofia." "I don't really have a huge problem with it. But I really think that you have to tell mom and dad soon. And not just because you're having a relationship with Will. They need to know that you are gay. Period." "I know. I know. I'm delaying the inevitable. But not right now, around Christmas. I want things to be as happy and predictable. The way mom and dad will react, I just have no idea." My dad popped up behind me. "React to what?" Sofia answered, "Oh, um, Jeff's family is having a Christmas party tomorrow. Think we can go?" "Of course! Why not? It'll be nice to finally meet all of them. You two have been going out for what, 3 months? That's pretty long. You guys aren't having sex already, are you?" "Dad! I don't ever want to hear the word `sex' coming out of your mouth." Sofia had a slightly disgusted look on her face. But she knew dad was just joking. I'm glad I had her. While she did take the attention away from me, she stood up for me at the same time. She understood how delicate things were and was willing to be a loving sister. "Besides, that's none of your business." "Ok fine then. I'll just tell your mother that we'll be going to a party tomorrow. By the way, we are leaving the 29 th. Allison I believe is going up to New York the 28 th. You guys ok with that?" "Yah. No problem." "Ok then." My dad walked off, talking to more of his friends and our relatives. As he went off, Sofia and I continued our conversation. "So, what exactly are our plans for New Years?| "Well, I was going to go out with my friends to D.C. There's going to be a big celebration down in Adams Morgan. Or we could just hang out in Georgetown. You're welcome to come along." "Thanks. How about Jeff? Will he be coming too?" "I don't know yet. I'm not exactly sure how his family usually celebrated New Years. And then with Will being pretty much stationary, things get a little more complicated." "Yah. I guess so." Sofia and I finished what we were cooking and then went to join the party. After all of it, I called Will and told him that we are coming. "Yah, so this will be good. We'll finally be able to see each other again." "Definitely. I can't wait." ----------------------------- So the next day came around really quickly. I was just so excited to see him again. I wish we didn't live as far away from each other than we did. It would have been a lot easier to spend time with him. Around 3 p.m., we left for the party. While we were driving, my parents started to talk. "So, this will be the first time meeting one of your boyfriend's parents, Sofia." "Yah. Yah. Please don't do anything funny, like tell them embarrassing stories about me." "Of course we won't." The sarcasm seeped from every word. "So how is your friend doing, Dave? His name is Will, right?" "Yah. He's doing ok now. His arm healed pretty quickly. The fractures weren't too bad there. But his leg is the big problem." "Oh, that's unfortunate, especially during the holiday seasons. I hope he's still enjoying this time." "I'm sure he is." Well, at least when we finally see each other. I couldn't wait to see him. It was crazy. I just kept smiling and looking outside the window of our car, imagining him as I looked into the clouds. Good thing I was sitting in the back row, or my parents would have really noticed. Eventually, we got to their house. It was a nice house, almost like a town house, but with four or five floors. When we walked into the front door, I noticed there was even an elevator there. The moment we entered the house, there was loud chattering and laughter everywhere." "Sofia! Hi!" It was Jeff. "I'm so glad you and your family could come. Hi Mr. and Mrs. Cordais. I'm Jeff, Sofia's boyfriend. But you probably already knew that. Sorry, I'm a little nervous. Oh, my parents. Stupid me. Let me introduce you. Mom, dad, come over here!" Jeff did look really nervous. I guess that's the way one gets when around a girlfriend's parents. At least my dad didn't put on some menacing look to scare him away or anything. "Mom, dad, this is Mr. and Mrs. Cordais. These are my parents, Emma and Walter." "Hi, it's nice to meet you." Then we all broke up into different groups. The parents went off talking to people. Sofia, Allison, and Jeff went off and were having their own discussion. I could see Sofia trying to console Jeff who looked like he just went through the inquisition, even though he was doing most of the talking back there. But one thing was killing me. Where was Will?? I couldn't see him anywhere. I went around the house looking for him but he was nowhere to be found. Then, someone came up behind me and tapped me on my back. I got all giddy like a freak and turned around. "Xavier?? Hey! It's great to see you! What are you doing here?" "Well, Will invited me. I guess it was his way of showing his appreciation for showing him the right way I guess." "How was your Christmas?" "It was good. Family. Food. Presents. You know, the normal. So, how are you liking the party so far?" "Pretty good I guess. They have a really nice house. But I guess I'm just sort of...well, I can't find Will anywhere." "Yah, you know what, come to think of it, neither have I. I just came in, said `Hi' to his parents and went off talking to some people." "Hmm...we should go look for him." I walked over to Jeff. "Hey, do you know where Will is?" "Oh yah. I forgot to tell you. He's up in his room. I think he sort of felt bored. Plus he didn't want anybody else telling him how sorry they are about his accident. I think he is getting a bit tired of that. Um, go up the elevator, up to the top floor. Go figure, the one who can't move is situated at the very top of the house." "Yah. Ok, thanks Jeff." "No problem." So, Xavier and I took the elevator up. Finally, we got to the very top. I think that at each level, there is a little hallway and then two or one room. When we got off the elevator, we could hear some music from inside the room. "Hello?" I knocked and we went in. Will was sitting in his wheelchair by his desk reading something. We tiptoed up behind him and then grabbed his shoulders. "WILL!" He screamed. "Fucking hell. You guys scared the shit out of me. Mind not doing that ever again!" "Yah, I also never want to hear you scream like a girl again." I said, and I bent down to his face and gave him a quick kiss. "C'mon you guys. Not in front of me, please?" "Sorry Xavier. Hey, it's nice to see you could make it. So, how are both of you liking the party?" "It's really nice with the exception that it took us almost 15 minutes to find out that you were hiding up here in your room." "Yah, you know, one can only bear the `sorry's and `I hope you get better's for a given time before it sounds like a broken record. I got tired of it so I just went up here." "Uh huh, Jeff told us about it. So before anything else" "Yah?" Xavier and I rang out together, "We're sorry about your accident and we hope you feel better." Then burst out laughing. "You do know that once I'm out of this wheelchair and cast on my stupid leg, I will make it my personal mission to kill both of you." Xavier said to me, "Hey Dave, you better watch it. The handicapped man sounds serious." Will fought back. "Very funny Xavier. You know, I do have some crutches in my closet. It would be a shame if I took them out and they just happened to hit you on the head. Now, because of that, get out of my room and get us some food." "Yah. Yah. I know why you really want me out of the room. I'm just saying, by the time I get back, you two better not be fucking or anything." We both blushed and looked to the ground. "Hmm, that's funny. Ok, I'll get the food." And he walked out of the room. "Finally, we're alone." "Yah. So what do you want to do?" "Um, hold on." He moved himself near the bed, hopped on, and was reaching over to get something. It was a box. I went over to his bed and lied down with him. This was really the first time we had been in a bed together. "What's this?" "A present, stupid. What else could it be? Open it." I took the present and opened the box. "Boxing gloves?" "Yah. Just in case I get stupid again. Hopefully you'll punch me instead of the other way around. And just to soften the blow, at least now you'll be wearing these gloves." "Very funny. Thanks, I love it. I can't believe I forgot to give you your present." "It's ok, you'll have to suffice I guess. Come here." We started kissing each other. Our hands we exploring each others bodies. I mean, we were just two, fully clothed guys, in love, kissing on his bed. I could feel his warm tongue in my mouth, massaging my own. His lips were a perfect compliment to mine. My hands were all over his body, as I massaged his back and pulled his body nearer to mine. I could feel the warmth between the two of us. I could tell he was getting aroused, just as much as I was. As I said before, we were both new to this. And we had to take it a step at a time. But I guess it was time to take another step. My hands slowly reached down as I grabbed his crotch. I could feel his hard dick under his pants. In return, he did the same thing to me. We sort of just stayed like that, feeling each other and getting to know each other much more personally. I slowly moved my hand up and down his pants, massaging that area. I could hear him start to moan. I sort of panicked and stopped. "Oh Dave. Please. Don't stop." I didn't know how far we were going to take it, but I just wanted to please him in any way that I could. So I just kept on doing it. Then he surprised me when he slowly tried to snuggle his right hand into my jeans. "Will..." I didn't want him to stop. I think he panicked a bit too and took his hand out. Then, we stopped for a moment. With our hands interlocked, I looked deeply into his eyes. We just stopped kissing for a second and tried to just read each other's minds. There were so many thoughts in mind that I doubt he could have read my mind. But when it came down to it, we both knew what we wanted to do. Before I could say anything, he quickly put his finger over my lips and gave me a quick kiss. Then I looked down as he moved his hands towards my pants his pants. He started to undo my belt and then my zipper. Imagine the sound that is made when you slowly unzip the zipper on your pants. It just killed me. But I stopped him. He looked worried, like I didn't want to go any further. But I had to tell him, "No, I want to do this. Besides, you shouldn't be moving your body too much. " So I slowly laid him down on his back. I gave him a long and sensual kiss on his lips, then on his neck. I slowly moved down his body. I slowly unbuttoned his t-shirt and gave him quick little pecks on his chest as I moved down toward his pants. I slowly moved my hands to his belt, then carefully undoing the clasp that kept his pants together. "Are you sure you want to do this?" I asked him right before we took our relationship to another level. "Absolutely." I put my hands on either side of his pants and started to slide them down. I did the best that I could to remove the pant leg from his cast. The only thing left to do now was remove his underwear. I could see the outline of his hard dick under the white cloth. I quickly took of my sweater and my shirt. Right as I started to do this... "What did I tell you about not having sex when I left?!" Xavier shouted as he entered the room with plates of food. "Xavier, that had to be the most absolutely most worst timing ever in the history of man. I should have locked the door." "Oh, sorry." His tone said it. I knew he was joking, but he was really sorry for interrupting us. "It's ok," Will said. He sort of just let out a little laugh and then looked at me. He whispered to me, "If we love each other, I'm sure it can wait just a little bit more." "Ok." And I just collapsed on his body, my head lying on his chest. We weren't really mad at Xavier. A little disappointed, but at least we were giggling a bit. Slowly, I helped Will get dressed again. No doubt Xavier didn't want to stay in a room with half naked guys ready to pounce on each other. After we finished, we stayed sitting in his bed as Xavier sat in a seat by the desk. Will and I just shared a plate, playfully feeding each other some food. "Guys, you're starting to gross me out. I mean, even when straight couples do that, I hate it. No different for you two." But we didn't care. We just kept on doing it. Eventually, we could hear the party dying down on the main floor. As people started to leave, we figured now would be the right time to go downstairs. We all took the elevator down and Jeff saw us as we were getting out. "Ah! It's about time you three finally came down. The party's just ending too." "Well, I guess we had our own celebration upstairs." "Oh, Dave, my parents need to talk to you and your parents." "Um...ok." So I grabbed my parents and took them to Mrs. and Mr. Ruthers who were in the kitchen. "Um, Jeff said you needed to talk to me...I mean us?" "Oh yes. Perhaps this is for your parents. Well, the situation is, we need to go up north to be with my father. See, he has cancer and we don't know how long he will last." My mom responded, "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that." "Thank you. Well, we need to go up north and we might be gone for a week. The problem is Will. We can't really bring him up because we feel that it might be to physically straining on him. So we were wondering if he might stay with you this week?" I asked, "How about Jeff?" "Well, we would like Jeff to come up with us. We know it's a lot to ask from you, seeing as how we have only met today. But I thought Will and Dave were such good friends that he might have a better time staying at your home rather than walking on crutches all over the place with us." My parents thought about it for a second. "Well, it's ok with us. The only reason why I was sort of reluctant is because we are going to California for the New Years and the only ones at home will be Sofia and Dave. Is that all right with you?" "Absolutely. Dave is a good kid from what I've seen. And I'm sure he'll take good care of Will. So I guess the question is, Dave, are you ok with all of this?" Was this really happening? "Sure, of course I wouldn't mind taking care of Will." "Thank you so much. I'm really grateful to all of you." Mrs. Ruthers hugged my mom and then me. Finally, it looked like everyone was almost gone. Even Xavier had gone home already. It was time to leave. We all said our goodbyes. Before I left, I quickly talked with Will. "Well, you'll never guess what." Will was bemused. "What?" "Well, it looks like your parents are going up north with Jeff to see your grandfather. Because of your handicap, they feel it would be better to keep you in a more stable environment." "And where would that stable environment be?" I whispered into his ear, "My room." I gave him a quick wink, and my family and I left. I could just feel him smiling behind me as I closed the door. ----------- Endnote: Oook then. Sorry to delay it just a little bit more.
