A Promise Well Kept 20

Travers:

I cried heavily into my boyfriend's arms. "I can't believe they're getting divorced!" The gut wrenching feeling of having to choose who to be with on birthdays and holidays was already stressing me out.

"Baby, maybe they'll work it out. Most married couples do." Trevor said. I knew he was just trying to make me feel better, and to be honest it wasn't working. "And you know what? I'm sure that even if they do get a divorce everything will work out just fine. Tyler and-"

"Trevor, shut up and kiss me." He leaned back from my and placed his lips atop mine. I slid my tongue inside his mouth and probed it in and out. "I want you to do me a favor. I don't want you to ask any questions or even think about not doing it. I just want it done, okay?"

"Um, okay," Trevor said weirdly.

"I want you to fuck me hard. I want you to fuck me so hard that it hurts me. I want you to use force with me. Think you can handle that?" I pleaded.

"Travers... Yeah, I can handle that."

"Good, then do it."

Trevor shoved me onto my bed. He climbed on top of me and began to attack my neck. He used his teeth to massage my skin causing me mass waves of pleasure. I let out several long moans. My breathing quickened and I could feel my cock just waiting to be pleased.

"God, Travers, you're so...mmm...tight." Trevor moaned.

"You like that, baby?" I panted.

"Yeah," I squeezed my cheeks together harder than they already were. "Fuck, Travers, I feel it already."

"Cum inside me, Trev. Overfill me, baby!" I screamed.

Trevor humped faster. His balls were slapping against my butt which was turning me on significantly. The thrusts of his hips were hard and fast. I was bucking all over the place.

"Oh, yeah, here it comes!" he loudly moaned. I felt his hot cum burst through his cock head. The feeling of him cumming sent shock waves through my body and caused me to begin cumming. Trevor didn't stop thrusting, however, he just kept going. It wasn't until I made him stop did he. He collapsed next to me, gasping for much needed air.

"Fuck that was amazing!" I exclaimed. "I like it that way, babe."

"Really? I found it different, but good." he panted heavily.

"I love you," I said lovingly, staring deep into his eyes.

"I love you too, baby boo."

"You know, I never thought..." I trailed off as I heard someone enter the house. I sneaked up to my door and peeked around it. Jared was talking to someone on his cell phone, and by the looks of it he wasn't very happy. I was trying to figure out what he was saying, but he was keeping his conversation hushed.

"What's going on?" Trevor asked in a whisper.

"I can't tell, but Jared is upset about something. Maybe it's his lawyer or something."

Tyler:

"I'm getting a divorce." I uneasily spoke.

Austin choked on his coffee. "From Jared!?"

"No, from Clint Eastwood. Of course from Jared!" I sarcastically said.

"Why?"

"He told me last night that he's tired of having to deal with me so at that moment I decided to make it easy for him to not have to anymore." I explained sadly. The mere thought of Jared brought my mood so far down I felt like I'd never be able to cheer up. It happened all day today. I'm surprised I got through today without crying in front of my students.

"Well, do you think he's having-"

"Don't say it," I warned. "I've already thought about that and I'm starting to think he is." That was the last straw. I broke down and started sobbing. "I-I can't believe this i-is happening to me! He always t-t-told me that I was his s-soul mate!"

Austin threw an arm over my shoulder. "Tyler, come on, maybe he isn't. Maybe he just needs to think for a little while."

"Y-you don't get it, Austin. Every time we've ever fought he'll leave me a note in the morning and all me several times during the day. And then at night when the kids are in bed he-"

"Tyler, that's enough." Austin grinned.

"Sorry," I chuckled.

"I'm sure you both will pull through this just fine." he assured me. "And if you don't, can I store some stuff at your house?"

I nudged him in the ribs. "Fuck you," A smile did grow on my face though.

"It's getting late. Shouldn't you be getting home?" Austin inquired. The thought of having to go home made my heart race. I did not want a confrontation with Jared.

"Yeah, I guess I should be getting home." I sighed.

Before I left the bar, I handed Austin some money for my part of the tab. The entire drive home I thought about how I could avoid Jared. Nothing came to mind however. When I pulled into the driveway, a sudden and sharp pain throbbed in my chest. I clutched at it and gasped.

"Fuck!" I shouted. I know exactly what this pain is caused from. It's all the fucking stress I've been under ever since I learned that I had to go in front of the district board. Jared is a big contributor to this and for that I am going to make him pay. I got out of the Murano and walked inside. Travers and Keegan looked up at me sadly as I strode past them in the kitchen.

"Hi, dad," Travers silently said.

"Guys, I need to talk to you about something very important. Let's go into Travers's room." I said. The three of us slowly walked into his room. The boys sat on the bed while I stood in front of them. "Okay, um, I don't know how to say this to you both. Just know that I love you very, very much and I never wanted this to happen."

"I think I know," Travers blurted out.

I took inhaled deeply, held my breath, then slowly expelled the air from my lungs. "Jared and I are getting a divorce."

"What's that?" Keegan worriedly asked.

"A divorce is when two married people separate from each other. They both get different houses and split everything they own." I almost whispered. I was trying to be as strong as I possibly could for Keegan right now.

"Tyler, I don't understand." Travers said. The tears in his eyes were beginning to force their way out of his eyes.

"I don't understand either, Travers. He's been really mean and cold to me. You both have had to notice that." My own tears were building in my eyes.

"Well, who do we live with?" he asked.

"You both will stay here a few nights a week and then my place the rest of the week." I explained. I still haven't even begun to look for a place to live though. I'm not sure that I can afford a house at the moment so it looks like I'll be staying in an apartment for the first time in my life.

Keegan started to cry. "I-I don't want you to go!" I sat in between the boys and held Keegan in my arms. I didn't expect him to take this well, but I wasn't prepared for how he would make me feel. Having to put him through this was already killing me inside.

"Buddy, I'm not going anywhere. We'll still be living with each other. It's just that you won't see me seven days a week." My voice was weak and sad which Keegan must've sensed because he just kept crying.

"Does this having anything to do with me?" Travers wondered.

"No," I sharply said. "You boys have nothing to do with the divorce. I guess Jared just fell out of love with me." The pain of saying those words was stabbing me in the heart. "I love you guys so much. I'm going to do my damndest to make this as easy as possible on you two." I wiped my eyes and sat a calmer Keegan next to me. "Now, did you boys get dinner?"

"Yeah," Keegan sniffled. "Jared ordered Chinese."

I rolled my eyes. "That man needs to learn how to cook."

After our little talk, the boys and I went into the kitchen for some ice cream. I told Keegan to go ask Jared and Torry if they wanted any, but he refused. Travers even refused. No matter how irate I am at Jared, it's just not in me to be blatantly rude in my own home. I walked upstairs and into Torry's bedroom. He and Jared were playing with some cars.

"Do you guys want any ice cream?" I very calmly asked. Torry looked up at me, but Jared didn't even flinch. Neither of them said anything to me. Without getting infuriated, I just turned on my heel and walked away. His silence to me is beyond annoying now. His attitude towards me is coming up to a personal level now.

I scooped the boys some ice cream then we went into the living room for some TV. Only minutes after we sat down, Jared went into the kitchen and filled a bowl full of ice cream, I'm guessing for Torry.

"Don't worry, dad, he was like that to us too." Keegan said, taking a huge bite of ice cream.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Well, he wasn't talking to us today either." he said after swallowing all that ice cream he shoved into his mouth.

"So even at dinner he didn't say anything to you?"

"Nope, not one word all day. We tried talking to him, but he was always focused on Torry." I detected a hint of jealousy in Travers's words.

I shook my head and made a mental note to have a few choice words with my definite soon to be ex-husband. He's beginning to take things a little too far.

Travers:

"Austin, I don't know how to thank you for writing that ticket off. I still can't even believe I got one."

"No problem, Travers. I can't believe that jackass even gave you one. If a person is driving a max of ten miles over the speed limit we usually just let them go depending on where they're at. Since you were only three miles over in a residential area he still should've let you go." Austin said gruffly.

"Yeah," I sighed.

"How are things at home?" he inquired.

"Not good. Tyler and Jared are getting divorced." I sadly mentioned.

"Yeah, Tyler told me about that. Sorry," he said.

"No need to be, but Jared should be. He is being a total dick to all of us except Torry. I don't know what his problem is."

"His problem could be a lot of things, but you dare think for a second that it's yours or Keegan's fault. Even Tyler isn't to blame for this I don't think." Austin said with authority. "It sounds to me like this is all Jared's problem. He'll come to realize that you three are the only good things that have and will ever happen to him."

I left the police station, making my way to the foster home. Trevor told me he had some exciting news to tell me today. Since I could use a mood booster anyways, I readily agreed to pick him up.

"Hey, baby," he excitedly said when he got in my car. "Guess what?"

I chuckled. "What?"

"There's a family that took interest in me. They want to adopt me and everything!" Trevor gushed.

"No way! That's awesome, Trevor! Have you met them already?" I asked, just as excited as Trevor was.

"Yeah, I even went to their house already. They seem really, really, nice and they have an awesome place."

"Well, I'm happy for you, but do they know that you're gay? And have a boyfriend?"

"That was discussed when we got back here and they said they had no problem with it."

"Then when do you move in?" I joked.

"I'm not sure," he said seriously. "Things are still being talked about and stuff. My social worker said she has some paperwork to do first."

"I'm really happy for you, Trevor. This is great!"

"You don't seem very happy." he stated.

"It's Tyler and Jared," I sighed. "Jared's getting worse and worse. He's starting to ignore me and Keegan now." I realized that before I started talking about my bad issues that this is Trevor's day. He learned he could be being adopted and I had no intentions of ruining it for him. "You know what I'm sorry. Today is your day. I don't want to drag it down with my crap."

"Hey, one person's crap is both of ours." he said, bearing a huge smile. My heart melted and I had to smile as well.

Tyler:

On my way home from work I began to think about all the fun times Jared and I have had together. All the romantic times and even the few sad ones we had crossed my mind as well. Our divorce is still a mystery to me. I still can't even begin to think about why I said that word that one fateful night.

Around midnight Jared came home. All three boys were in bed. I was sitting in the dining room sipping some wine when he walked in. Jared glanced at me, but continued doing whatever he was doing. I stood up and went in the kitchen.

"You're home late," I stated the obvious.

"Is it?" he sarcastically said. He tossed his coat onto the island. I picked it up and smelt it. The scent that was on the jacket was not his nor was it mine. He gave me a blank stare.

"Were you with another man?" I asked too calmly. The rage began boiling inside of me.

"So what if I was? We're getting divorced remember?" he said also too calmly.

"You are still married to me!" I loudly said. "Is this the same guy you been cheating on me with for God knows how long now?"

"I'm going to bed," he irritatingly spoke.

"Why are you being such an asshole!?" I yelled.

"I'm not being an asshole!" he shouted back.

"Yes, you are! Last night I went up and asked if you and Torry wanted ice cream. You don't call ignoring me being an asshole? Then if that wasn't enough you come down a few minutes later and get some ice cream!"

"I don't need this shit right now! My job is going downhill." Jared complained.

"Well, too fucking bad! Where were you when my job was at stake? Were you fucking your mystery man? Did you mention to him that you're married or does that fuck your pick-up style up?"

"Watch your mouth, Tyler." Venom virtually dripped from his teeth. He was starting to get mad. Perfect.

"What have you been telling Torry about me, huh? He obviously doesn't like me for a reason and I bet that reason is you!"

"Leave him out of it." he warned me. He started to step towards me. "This isn't a game."

I also started towards him. "Make no mistake about it. If you hurt my sons either physically or emotionally I will kill you, Jared."

"I've never hurt them either way, you know that."

"I used to know that, but Travers and Keegan told me that you were ignoring them all day yesterday."

"I wasn't ignoring them. I just didn't have time to do a whole lot. I had some work that needed to be done."

"Oh, but you have time for Torry? Why is it that that one child has changed you completely?"

"He hasn't changed me. I've been the same man I have been for the past twenty-four years."

"No, you've changed, Jared. You used to be loving and kind and...perfect. Now you're this bastard person who gets off to hurting his 'soul mate' as you once called me."

"Things change," he said coolly then walked away.

"Yeah," I sighed. "Things do change."

The next day started off not so good. I let Travers stay home because he said he wasn't feeling well. I would've been more than happy to stay home with him, but since I'm on probation that just wasn't possible. But when fifth period rolled around I got an odd voicemail from Travers. He said he needed me to come home and that it was kind of important. Knowing I couldn't leave the class, I needed something fast. Then I remembered that Mr. Danforth had no sixth. I called him and explained things to him. He of course agreed to stay for my sixth so that I could go home to Travers.

When I pulled into the driveway, everything seemed normal. I walked inside and saw Travers and Keegan in the living room.

"What's going on? What is he doing home?" I worriedly asked. Jared's car wasn't here and no one else but my parents had permission to pull Keegan out of school. The boys looked up at me with fear in their eyes.

"Hello, Tyler," a woman said.

I sharply turned around. My eyes went wide as I stood at who was before with a gun pointed at my head. "What are you doing here?"

"I warned you we were coming for you." Julie said. "Isn't that right, honey?"

Andrew walked out from the dining room. "That's right,"

"What do you two want?" I asked. That probably wasn't the best thing to say, but my mind suddenly went numb seeing them in my house.

"We want you to die, Tyler, for ruining our lives." Julie said. "That time I spent in jail screwed the rest of my life up. My family, my whole family, stopped talking to me. No place would hire me. My life was ruined until the day I met Andrew."

Andrew grew a cheeky grin. "Yeah, and that was the time we fell in love. Tyler, do you remember that night you forced your way into my apartment? Well, my niece went home the next day and told her mommy that I was gay. Thank God that part of my life is over."

"You both deserved what you got. You tried to fucking kill me. What would even tempt you to think you'd get away with it?" I said to Julie.

"And you deserve to die, Tyler. Your life is over. But seeing as how Andrew and I do have a soul, we'll allow you to say good bye to your kids." Julie said.

"Well, how kind of you." My heart was racing. A plan was being worked out in my head, though, and I knew exactly how to get it done. I turned to Travers and Keegan and wrapped my arms around both of them. In the faintest of whispers I said in Travers's ear, "There's a gun under couch. Shoot them." I let them go and stood up. "What do you plan on doing with my body?"

"Well, for the longest time we couldn't figure it out. We realized that burying your body was a little cliché as would be throwing you into a river or the ocean. So, we decided to do a combo. We are going to burn you then put the ashes into a box and throw it into the ocean, the deep ocean. Andrew here has already rented the cutest little fishing boat just perfect for the job." Julie explained. I hadn't expected her to be so graphic with what they're going to do to me, but nor did I care. As long as Travers shot one of the anywhere, I could get their guns.

* * * *

Travers:

Julie and Andrew both pointed their guns up at Tyler's chest. I knew I only had one chance at shooting them. Since their attention was completely on Tyler I easily felt under the couch for the gun. Keegan looked me in the eye then carefully scooted away from me. I found the gun and grabbed a hold on it.

"It was very nice seeing you again, Tyler." Julie said. This was my chance. I withdrew the gun, closed my eyes, and started firing. After the fourth shot the gun jammed. I opened my eyes to find Julie and Andrew unfazed by my shooting. I even missed Tyler. I dropped the gun to my feet and kicked myself mentally. "Wow, your son's cute, but he's not too bright." Julie fixed her gun on me.

"No!" Tyler screamed. He hit the gun out of her hand, but then another one went off. "Fuck!" He shouted and fell on his back. A large blood spot was soaked by his shoulder. Tyler was clutched at it, inhaling sharply.

"It's time for you to pay, little man." Andrew said. As I stood there motionless waiting for my death, my life didn't flash before my eyes. The only thing on my mind was how bad the pain would be. But I didn't have to worry about that. In one motion, Tyler grabbed the gun from my feet, shot, and Andrew dropped to the ground.

"Travers, grab the gun over there." Tyler ordered. I picked Julie's gun up and gave it to Tyler. "Press the police command on the alarm pad. Take your brother and get out of here now!"

I picked Keegan up in my arms and ran to the front door. The alarm set off as did I out the door.
