Whoever is knocking on my door had better have a damn good reason, I thought to myself. I sat up in bed, grabbed my wire rimmed glasses from the nightstand and then padded across the floor, my roommate, Alex Cromwell, continued to snore the entire time. I sighed, then opened the door and squinted against the harsh light coming from the hall. "Yes sir?" I asked, upon seeing my dorm advisor, in his bathrobe and pajamas. "Phone for you, Whitmore," yawned Mr. Allen, "I had it transferred to the lounge." "Oh, ok, thanks," I replied. "Uh huh," muttered Mr. Allen, heading back to his room. I walked down to the student lounge on the first floor, yawning and stretching as I went. The common phone is in a corner of the room and I saw the red light flashing, indicating that a call was holding. "Hello?" I said, on picking up the receiver. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETHEART!" my parents, the original morning people, exclaimed. "Mom, dad?" I asked. "Of course tiger, who else would it be?" asked dad. "Right sorry, I'm still waking up," I yawned. "That's ok sweetie, we know it's early but daddy has to catch a flight to Washington, soon, and we wanted to wish you a happy birthday together," mom explained. "Thanks, I'm glad you called," I replied. "We wouldn't miss it, it's not every day our young man turns sixteen," said dad, I could almost hear him smiling on the other end of the phone. "So what did you get me?" I asked. "It's a surprise, we'll celebrate when you come home for spring break next week," said mom. "Cool, sounds good," I replied, as I heard a horn honk in the background. "That'll be my cab, I gotta go or I'll miss my flight," dad explained. "Ok, I love you guys, thanks for calling," I stated. "Bye sweetie, we'll see you soon," said mom. "Happy birthday tiger, you have a good one, ok?" said dad. "Don't worry dad, I will, bye." I started to walk back to my dorm room but as soon as I turned the corner, I was startled by Connor McCarthy. "Happy birthday, Peter," said Connor, in a whispered shout. Connor grabbed me in a powerful bear hug and spun me around three times before putting me back on my feet. "Well, now I'm wide awake and feel like I've had my back realigned," I smiled, "What are you doing up so early?" "I wanted to be the first one to wish my boyfriend a happy 16th but it looks like mom and senator dad beat me to it," Connor grinned. "Yeah, my dad was getting ready to leave for D.C. they wanted to call together," I explained. "Did he call you tiger?" Connor giggled. "Shut up," I smiled, then punched him in the shoulder, playfully. "What? I think it's cute," said Connor. "Yeah, yeah," I replied, sarcastically, "It's early, let's go back upstairs and get some sleep." "Nope, you gotta go up and get dressed and then meet me in the dining hall for breakfast," said Connor, "we've got a busy day." "Don't remind me, I've got that trig test," I groaned. "Oh no, not today, I've made other plans," Connor grinned, mischievously. "What plans?" I asked. "Can't tell ya, that'll ruin the surprise," said Connor, "meet me for breakfast in half an hour, hurry up." "Ok, fine," I said with a roll of the eyes. Connor was up to something and I've learned that it's just best to go along with him when he gets like this. I went back to my room and found Cromwell still asleep so I grabbed my robe and headed down to the showers. I hung my robe on the hook, then looked myself over in the mirror. It was my birthday but I didn't feel any older and frankly, I didn't look it either. Still, I wasn't complaining, I kind of like the boy that looks back from the mirror, I'm about 5'9" 130 pounds with chestnut colored hair and hazel eyes. My body isn't bad either, I'm not buff and built or anything but I've got a nice shape. I'm a swimmer and a runner and you could probably tell that if you looked at me long enough. My boyfriend, Connor, he's the jock, he plays football and baseball and he has a classic jock build. He's my height but weighs about 15 pounds more; he's got short blond hair, green eyes and an infectious grin that he blames on his Irish heritage. Thinking about Connor reminded me that I was in a hurry, so I gave myself one last look in the mirror and satisfied that I hadn't spotted any acne on my smooth face, I stripped out of my t-shirt and pajama bottoms, then hung them next to my bathrobe. I started walking towards the shower but then turned back, like most mornings, and placed my glasses on the counter. I'm always forgetting them. I let the hot water wash over my body and felt it work out the knots that had settled in my shoulders while I slept. The water woke me up and by the time I turned it off, I was feeling fresh and ready to face the day. I put my robe on, then headed back to my room where I quickly put on my school uniform and headed for breakfast. I walked into the dining hall, grabbed my usual breakfast of toast and an apple, then joined Connor, just as he was sitting down. I couldn't help but notice that his backpack was full to the point of bulging and knowing him as I do; I knew it wasn't full of books. "What's in the bag?" I asked. "Tell ya later," Connor winked. I took my time eating my breakfast, where as Connor inhaled his. He seemed to be in a hurry but it was hard to tell, he always eats like food is going out of style. When he was done, he picked up his tray and mine, which still had half my breakfast on it. "Hey, I was going to eat that," I complained. "No time," said Connor, "We gotta get going." I rolled my eyes again and then got up to follow. There were a few other early risers at breakfast that morning and we encountered a few more, as I followed Connor out onto the campus. He ducked theatrically behind trees or buildings, anytime he spotted a teacher, and pulled me, reluctantly, along with him. We finally reached the academy's outer wall, where he had our bikes hidden in some bushes. "How did you get my bike?" I asked, curiously. "I swiped it last night before lights out," said Connor. "You stole my bike?" I asked incredulously. "Yeah, that's a pretty accurate word," he grinned. "Uh, ok." "Which reminds me, you need a new lock, your old one didn't survive the bolt cutters," said Connor. "Connor..." I began, before he cut me off. "Come on, we gotta get going," said Connor, mounting his bike. "Where am I going?" I asked again. "I told ya, it's a surprise," said Connor. "Yes, and that was good enough to get me to come along this far but if you expect me to go any further, I need to know where we're going," I reasoned. "Ok, ok, you win," said Connor, "we're going to the bus station." "The bus station?" I exclaimed. "Shhh, not so loud," said Connor, "and yes, the bus station. We're going to catch the bus to Portsmouth and then ride down to the beach." "Oh Connor, I don't know, I've got that trig test and if we get caught off campus we'll be in so much trouble," I rationalized. "Come on Peter, it's your birthday," said Connor, using his strongest weapon against me, his puppy dog face. "Damn it, alright, you win, let's go," I grumped, as I climbed on my bike. "I knew you'd see it my way," Connor smiled, as he peddled off. I rolled my eyes and followed after him. It was a beautiful spring morning and the cool breeze felt good on my face, as I peddled behind him. When we got to the bus station, he insisted on paying for our tickets and then had our bikes loaded on board, while we took our seats. Connor sat on the edge of his seat and bounced excitedly, like a puppy going on his first car ride. "What's with you?" I asked. "This is my first bus ride," he smiled. "You've never been on a bus before?" I asked. "I'm from Michigan, I'm not a big city boy like you, with your fancy public transportation," Connor laughed. I rolled my eyes again, then pushed him back in his seat and rested my head on his shoulder. I figured if he was going to get me in trouble, I at least wanted to be well rested when the headmaster bawled us out. I closed my eyes and tried to sleep but Connor wouldn't allow it. To his way of thinking, we were on some kind of adventure and he needed me awake to enjoy it with him. Every time I was about to fall asleep, he'd move and point out some incredible new road sign or farm fence that he just had to share with me. We reached Portsmouth right around the time I should have been taking my trigonometry test. It was early spring but the weather was exceptionally warm so I draped my school jacket over my handlebars and loosened my tie. Connor stored his jacket like I had but then took his tie off and tied it around his head like a bandana, before peddling off. I shook my head, wondered for the hundredth time, what I was doing here, then followed after him. When we reached the beach, Connor dropped his bike in a heap on the sand, kicked off his shoes and hopped on one foot while taking his socks off. "Come on," he shouted, as he ran down to the surf, shedding clothes as he went. By the time he reached the water, he was down to nothing but his black boxerbriefs. Without a care in the world for who might see him, he jumped into the waves. I looked around and discovered that we were completely alone, it was a Wednesday morning after all, and decided that I'd come this far, there was no turning back now, I might as well enjoy myself. I stripped down to my own underpants and charged after Connor. He was standing waist deep in the water, when I tackled him head on. We wrestled in the water for a bit and then broke apart to catch our breath. "Come here and gimme a birthday kiss," I giggled. "No way, you're going to tackle me again," said Connor. "I won't, I promise," I grinned. "I don't know, you are a politician's son, this is probably just a filibuster or something," said Connor. "You dork, that's not at all what a filibuster is," I exclaimed. As I started to explain that particular senate procedure, like the nerd that I am, Connor bridged the gap between us and pressed his lips against mine. For someone so full of energy, his kisses are always soft and sweet. I savored the touch of his lips against mine, until he pulled away for a breath. "There, that ought to shut you up," Connor grinned. "You know what?" I asked. "What," he replied. "FILIBUSTER!" I shouted, then tackled him down into the water again. We played like that most of the morning and around noon; Connor revealed what was in his bag of tricks. He'd packed a couple of blankets, one of which we spread out in the sand, a couple of beach towels that we used to dry off, and some food he'd swiped from the dining hall, which we ate for lunch. We sat on the blanket with our towels draped around our necks while we let the sun dry us. I couldn't believe I was spending my birthday, in wet boxerbriefs, on a public beach, with my scantily clad boyfriend, even if there wasn't anyone around. That's just the effect Connor has on me, I get so caught up in his schemes that I forget to be an uptight prep school boy. It's one of the things I love most about him, how he forces me out of my shell. After lunch, we put our khaki's back on and Connor brought out the last item in his bag, a football. We tossed the ball for a while and then a couple of college age guys showed up, just as content to ditch class as we were. We let them in on our game and then went for another swim, until it was time for dinner. We were tired, our skin acquired the healthy glow one gets from being kissed by the sun and just as I thought we'd be heading back to the bus station, Connor announced we were going to dinner. We biked into the little beach town, where Connor treated me to a steak and then embarrassed me by having the wait staff sing happy birthday. It was a wonderful day, I'd enjoyed every bit of it, once I'd remembered to lighten up a little, but it was dark now, I was tired and ready to go back to the academy. "I've had a great time Connor, but can we go home now?" I asked. "Well, we could, but uh, there's just one problem," said Connor. "Oh, no, what?" I asked, with some trepidation. "Well, you see, the last bus left about an hour ago," said Connor. "Connor," I exclaimed, "what are we going to do, if we're not back by lights out, we're dead!" "Relax, I took care of it," he grinned. "You mean you planned this?" I asked. "Of course, I'm not stupid you know," Connor grinned. "I know, I know, you're just full of surprises," I grumped. "Trust me birthday boy, it's all taken care of," said Connor. "How, what did you do, I wanna know how we're not going to get expelled when we get back tomorrow?" I demanded. "I said I took care of it, would you relax?" said Connor. I wanted to be mad at him, being off campus like this was a major violation of the academy rules and if we missed lights out, they would definitely know we were gone. The thing was, Connor said he'd taken care of it and I believed him, or rather, I believed in his substantial charm and how it always got him out of trouble. In the end, I followed Connor back to the beach, we camped out in the sand dunes and he built us a fire out of driftwood, while I spread out the blankets. It's hard to stay mad at someone when you love them and they've given you a perfect day. "Sorry I didn't get you anything for your birthday," said Connor, joining me on the blanket. "Didn't get me anything? Are you nuts, this has been a great day," I exclaimed. "Really? I thought you were mad," said Connor. "I'm sorry if I got annoyed a few times, but this has been the greatest time," I confessed. "You can't help it, it's just who you are," Connor grinned, "but I'm glad you had fun." "Fun isn't the word, it was just, well, a perfect day, well almost perfect," I stated. "Almost?" Connor asked. "Yeah, there's one last thing we can do that would make it perfect," I grinned. "Ok, what?" asked Connor, curiously. I leaned over and kissed him, gently at first but then with greater enthusiasm. I laid him back on the blanket and broke the kiss, then looked into his eyes. "Connor, would you make love to me tonight?" I asked. "I thought you wanted to wait," said Connor. "I did, for the right time, and this feels right," I stated. "You're sure?" he asked. "I wanted it to be something special, something I'll remember for the rest of my life, and I can't see how on earth I'll ever forget being here with you, under the stars, the waves crashing on the shore, this is the perfect time," I stated. Connor rolled me onto my back and kissed me softly while I unbuttoned his shirt. We kept kissing, while I ran my hands up and down his strong chest, then over his shoulders and pushed his shirt off. Connor broke our kiss and sat up on his knees, he opened his belt, then I moved his hands away and unbuttoned and unzipped his khakis. I started to open my pants, but he shooed my hands away, like I had his, then did it for me. He lay back on top of me and we continued to make out while our boners ground against each other, separated by a few millimeters of cotton. I ran my hands down Connors back and slipped my hands under has pants, grabbing his tight quarterbacks butt through his black boxerbriefs. Connor sat up again, this time taking his pants and underwear off, he pulled mine off as well, but as I started to unbutton my shirt, he stopped me. "Leave it, you look cute in just your shirt," Connor blushed. That was one of the few times I'd ever seen him nervous, he's always so cool and confident. I put my arms around him and guided him back on top of me. I spread my legs, so that he could slip between them, then he grabbed one of them and pulled it around his waist. We resumed our kissing and my rubbing of his firm athletic butt, then I felt the warm wet head of his cock at my opening. "You're sure this is what you want?" asked Connor. "Please Con-Con, it's my birthday," I smiled. He placed his lips back against mine and pushed his hips forward. There was pressure at first, as my anus resisted the intrusion but then he pushed through and I winced as he entered me. "I'm sorry, are you ok?" asked Connor. "Yeah, I just wasn't expecting it to slip in when it did," I explained. "Do you want me to stop?" he offered. "Don't you dare," I smiled, then kissed him. We held that position for a while, his tip just inside me, our lips against each other, our tongues dueling in each other's mouths. When I grew accustomed to the invasion, I urged him on by grabbing his buns and pulling him into me. Connor took my cue and before long he was all the way in, his pubic bone resting against my bottom. He started to make love to me then, moving his hips back and forth, we moaned into each other's mouths and at the height of the pleasure, he filled me with his cum. Connors orgasm triggered my own and I spent my seed on his tight, muscular belly. He had to be exhausted from the workout, so I pulled him against me and rested his head on my chest. "That was great," said Connor, popping up excitedly after catching his breath, "You wanna do it to me now?" "Not tonight," I giggled, "I think one new experience is enough for today." "Ok, cool, how about another swim?" said Connor. "Connor, it's freezing, how about we snuggle?" "Ok, that sounds good to," said Connor, spooning behind me then wrapping the blanket around us, "But we'll go for a swim in the morning right, before we go?" "You bet," I agreed. "Great," said Connor, "Hey Peter?" "Yeah?" "Thanks, you know, for giving yourself to me like that," said Connor, shyly. "It was perfect, a perfect end to a perfect day, making love with the person I love most in the world," I stated. "Yeah, I love you to," said Connor. "I know," I stated confidently, as I kissed his hand. I don't know what time it was but we lie there in each other's arms, just enjoying the closeness, until sleep carried us away. I woke up sometime before dawn, it was light out but it was that grey morning light you get just before the sun comes up. I was also cold, the fire was out, the blanket had blown off my body and I was still only wearing a light button-down. I was also alone. I felt around for my glasses and slipped them on when I found them, I then gathered up my clothes and put them on, easing the chill of the early morning. Connor's clothes were all there, everything but his underpants, and I assumed he must have woken before me and gone for that swim he'd been talking about the night before. I climbed out of the dunes and started to look for Connor but I didn't have to look long, I spotted him lying on the beach about thirty yards away. "Connor, let's get going," I shouted, but he didn't move. I was sure this was another one of his silly jokes so I rolled my eyes and started walking down the beach. As I got closer, I noticed he was awfully pale but I attributed that to the lighting this early in the morning. Connor was lying on his stomach, the waves rushing up his legs, when the surf came in. I was sure he was going to roll over and jump on me, the moment I touched his shoulder. I poked him on the shoulder and then stepped back, before he could spring his trap, but he didn't move. I poked him again, still nothing. "Ok Connor, this isn't funny," I said, kneeling down and turning him on his back. I was shocked by his color, he was grey and his lips were almost blue. I started shaking him violently, he felt cold to the touch. "Connor, come on, wake up, joke's over," I sniffled. But his eyes remained closed. "Connor, please," I whined, then took him in my arms. His head slumped back and I had to support it against my body, it was then that I noticed his chest wasn't rising and falling as it should be with each breathe of air. "SOMEBODY HELP ME!"I shouted. I leaned forward and kissed his forehead, it felt cold against my lips. "Connor please wake up, please don't leave me," I sobbed, as the realization that he would never wake again started to set in. "SOMEBODY HELP ME PLEASE!" I shouted, but the only reply was the crashing of the waves and the cry of a gull overhead.
