Date: Fri, 13 May 2011 14:55:36 -0700 (PDT) From: Paul Smith Subject: A Not So Classic Love Story Hey, this is my first story here, so please forgive my mistakes. This is first and foremost a love story, so sex will come, but after I get the story developed. The story is written ahead for a few chapters, but then I may take suggestions once I post to get caught up where I'm writing to. The usual disclaimers apply. This story is about a trip I took to my family's house in Dubai recently and while nothing actually happened, some of the events are true and this is what I wanted to happen. Names have been changed to protect the identities of those involved. Leave me comments, suggestions (for editing) at notsoclassiclovestory@yahoo.com :) If I like your ideas I may edit the story to those ideas. I would love to hear from you and hear your thoughts! **This story is not the real world and protection is not used, in real life, always remember, "Don't be silly wrap your willy!"** Names and words that may be difficult to pronounce: Karim: Kuh- Reem Rashid/Rashed: Rah-shed Yallah: Arabic word for `come-on' Yell-uh Wallah: Arabic word for `I swear' Wahh-lahh David's POV "Yallah guys, let's decorate this tree!," Dad yells. I skip into the family room, fairly happy , just to be with my family again, and to be in their home, in Dubai, for the first time ever. I dance around with Sara, to the Christmas music on the TV, unable to contain our laughter. We hold open our arms and Aunt Claudia joins in. We fall onto the couch, a jumbled mess, still laughing. "Where's Saoud?" I ask. "Upstairs, he said after redecorating the second time the lights blew, he's done," replied Dad. At that, I settle onto the floor next to Thu and Lazelle and start helping sort out ornaments. Sara sits on the couch texting while Aunt Claudia goes to make some cookies in the kitchen while Dad takes the old lights off of the tree. DING DONG! "I'll get it! That's Karim!" Sara sing/yells. At this point the name means nothing to me so I continue to concentrate on the ornaments. Karim's POV Sara lets me in the front door of the house and I'm practically bowled over by the sound of Christmas music. I give her a hug and walk into the kitchen to give Aunt Claudia a hug. "Come on Karim, I want you to meet my cousin." "Oh, you mean the one you haven't shut up about for the past month?" I joke as she drags me into the family room. Sara is the only one who knows that I'm bisexual. She has told me for the past month repeatedly that as far as she knows her cousin is straight but she wonders about him, and even if, maybe I could turn him at least bi because we would be a `cute couple,' usually in one breath. Every time I heard this speech, I blushed and jokingly asked her to stop playing matchmaker. But as I walk into the family room, I start to secretly hope that what she's been saying could be a possibility. He stands to greet me and it seems as if the world is in slow motion. I can't hear anything; I see Sara saying something at the same time he extends his right hand. I mimic him and we shake hands then he sits back down. When he starts to sit, my hearing returns just in time to hear Sara say, "is David, my cousin." Out of the corner of my eye, I see Sara suppress a grin. David's POV As I sit down, I try to go slowly and deliberately, trying to find out what just happened... there was a spark... or... or... something. I go back to sorting ornaments trying to keep my hands from shaking as Karim greets everyone else in the room. -4 Hours Later- Karim's POV After giving the cabbie directions to my house, I sit back and think. How did I get through tonight? I hope I didn't drop any noticeable hints. I can't risk anyone finding out about my sexuality, seeing as I live in a Muslim country. Sara interrupts my thoughts as my phone vibrates of a text from her. "You like him, ya? I saw the look in both of your eyes when you met." I simply reply, "ya," as I think, "I have got to find an excuse to hang out there more while he's here." David's POV Gosh, Karim just left. Tonight was... just... wow. I can't even remember half of it. He's just so amazing. He's sooo cute! His brown eyes staring at me are just perfect. The way he carries himself, just everything he does is amazing! Everyone else is in bed and dad and Thu went home. Now it's just me and Sara, down in the kitchen, eating a sandwich I convinced her to make me. Sara is BBMing God knows who, all I can hear is her fingers flying over the keyboard,so there's not much chance for conversation. I sit there mainly just thinking. But why does she keep looking at me and smirking!? "Sow, what do you think of Karim?" Sara pauses long enough to ask. "If only I could let her know" I think. But I have to say something so I choose to reply, "He seems to ber pretty cool but I'd have to hang our with him more to really know." Sara's POV "Oh, I bet you would like to hang out with him more." I think, and have to catch myself from saying out loud. "Yeah, he's my best guy friend. Wallah, he helps me through so much." I tell him. My brain and mouth go on auto-pilot as I think. I can see the way they look at each other, smile at each other, even if they can't see it. This is more than I ever thought of hoping for in my wildest dreams. I just hoped they'd like each other, but this is obviously something much much more.
