Jermaine and Andre woke in cheerful moods this morning. For not only was it getting close to their favorite holiday of the year; but it was getting close to their big day as well. Christmas had become a joyous holiday for the two young men, and they were looking to top this one off in style. After two and a half years of building their relationship together and taking on responsibilities that most boys couldn't handle at their ages, they were ready to make that final journey.
It all began when Jermaine's parents was killed in an accident that forced him to quickly grow up to take care of himself and run the family business. Although he had help from Keith and Mary, his parents trusted him; and knew that he was mature enough to carry on their legacy and make them proud. When he met and saved Andre from a couple of bullies who were harassing him, he knew that he had finally found the one who he would spend the rest of his life with and raise a family. A year later Jermaine gave Lee a safe haven and the opportunity to finish school when his parents threw him out when they discover his secret. He and Andre also helped him patch up his relationship with Brad, plus gave them the support they needed to build their life with the one they love. The following year they gave Michael and Robert that same opportunity that their parents wouldn't give them. Jermaine couldn't understand how anyone could choose a petty religion over a precious life they swore to love when they brought them into the world. This year they're making their family complete but helping out whenever and however they could when opportunity allows them to.
This year they decided on making it official by pledging themselves to one another on their special day. The ceremony will be held in a small service at the house in front of their close family members and friends except one; due to a prearranged deal between her and the boys. After several private discussions with one another, they decided to honor their favorite holiday by making it their big Christmas present to everyone including themselves. The meal for that day will be a combination of a Christmas dinner and reception for everyone to enjoy and celebrate the holiday and the happy couple.
The occasion involves every member of the household with Lee and Brad as their best men, and Michael and Robert as their attendants, until Jermaine and Andre become available to take over as hosts. Michael will also perform a solo as the guys walk down the aisle with a special performance by two others during the reception. However, today they were doing their Christmas shopping, plus purchasing and decorating their tree for the big festivity. After a quick good morning kiss, they got up and headed to the kitchen to make breakfast for their brood.
It was nearly done when Brad, Lee, Michael, and Robert walked in still half asleep and rubbing away the residue of last night's sleep from their eyes. Andre asked them to set the table while he and Jermaine finished cooking and the boys quickly complied. Soon they were sitting down to a delicious meal of croissants and omelets with onions, green peppers, mushrooms, ham, and cheese, milk, coffee, and orange juice were the choice of drinks.
Once breakfast was over and the kitchen had been tidied up, they headed out to do their shopping. This year they wanted to try some new places so they headed to Penegaun City Mall first. There they found some merchandise they knew would make great gifts for some of the employees at Clarkson Industries so they were purchased. From there they stopped for lunch before heading to Tyson's Corner Mall, Montgomery Mall, and finishing at City Place Mall. After hours of nonstop shopping, they were able to complete ¼ of their list before stopping at Smokehouse Barbecue to pick up some dinner.
They arrived home and put away the shopping bags while Andre set the table and laid out the food. By now they were all hungry so they dug in with gusto. For the next twenty-five minutes no sounds were heard except for lips smacking as they devoured their barbecue burgers and fries while washing them down with Cokes. Dessert was cherries jubilee, but they decided to wait a bit before indulging themselves, so they got started on wrapping the gifts. Half of it was done when they were ready for their sweet treat which was devoured in no time. No one could ever resist Jermaine's culinary skills for sugary cuisines and they were no exception.
An hour later they left for another excursion but this time was to a tree farm. They looked around until they found the perfect tree for them in superb condition. It was a fraser fir and stood at eight feet tall and looked freshly cut so Jermaine went to find someone to assist them while the others waited to keep anyone else from claiming it. He returned five minutes later with a lumberjack and negotiation of the price began. Soon it was being secured onto their flatbed truck for transport and they were heading back to their abode. The whole process took forty-five minutes and they were back decorating it with decorations and ornaments from previous years. They decided to assemble the train set the next day because it was getting late and they were getting very tired. They all wished each other goodnight as they headed to bed and soon were visiting the land of imaginations.
After breakfast the next morning, they finished decorating inside of the house before moving onto the outside. Afterwards, they assembled the train set, minus any new attachments because they didn't find any they already have or like. With all six guys helping, it didn't take long for them to have the entire house looking like a showcase of majestic beauty. It was now getting close to the time for the malls to open so they loaded into the SUV to begin their day of explorations.
Among their arrival at Lake Forest Mall, their first stop was their favorite specialty store, `Things to Remember. It was there that Jermaine bought the specialized ornaments to signify their acceptance as a new member into the family. He and Andre wanted to buy one for AJ and JJ (twin boys) as their first Christmas present ever; as well as the first one with them.
Afterwards, they browsed some other stores before grabbing an early lunch and continuing on at Westfield Mall then City Place Mall.
At City Place, their first stop was their favorite jewelry store. This year Andre group went in first while Jermaine's group browsed. When they walked in, the owner immediately spotted them and quickly finished up with the customer that he was helping to assist them. "Hi guys, nice seeing you again. What spectacular gift are you looking for this year?"
The question was to them all but he was looking at Andre when he asked. Like Jermaine, Andre always pick the best gifts and he knew the others would follow his lead when it was their turn to order theirs. "I'm looking for a white, platinum, and solid gold friendship ring and necklace."
The owner nodded. "I believe I have just what you're looking for right here." He then pulled out some examples from various sets. "I think you'll like these. There my favorite ones; and they're on sale today." He showed them a matching diamond set with all three colors of gold."
They like the set but each boy selected different diamonds. Right away the owner knew what their spouse will pick as well. However, he'll wait until they leave before preparing the order forms for the others. He didn't want to ruin the surprise although he didn't think it will be much of one. These boys just have chemistry like he had never seen before. They seem to know what their spouse is thinking and feeling without them saying a word. He was sure they already knew what their Christmas gift would be.
After filling out the forms, they handed them back to the owner. He assured them that he'll have them ready soon and they could either pick them up by the end of the week or anytime next week. As they were leaving, Andre pulled out his phone to text Jermaine so he can inform the others that it was their turn. Meanwhile, his group still had more shopping to do, so that's what they did as they waited for the others.
Since it was Sunday, the malls were closing early so they headed home, stopping along the way at Pizza Hut for two large pizzas and two 2-liters bottles of coke. Jermaine was driving so Andre's got everyone's choice of toppings and called in the order. When they arrived home, Andre set the table with plastic plates and cups while the others put away the shopping bags. Since the pizzas were still warm, and the Cokes were cold, it allow them to instantly satisfy their hunger and still have room for dessert. Tonight's delight was a double fudge chocolate cheesecake that Jermaine had made earlier in the week but no one had the chance to partake in.
They finished eating then continued wrapping the gifts which took the rest of the night. By the time they were done, they were very tired so they headed to bed because they had a busy week ahead of them with more shopping to do plus setting up for the company's Christmas party as well as baking desserts for that as well as the shelter's Christmas dinner. Jermaine have to also plan the party and send out the invitations for the company event.
Since Jermaine and Andre had already taken their finals, they were finished with classes for the fall semester for their third year of college. That allowed them the convenience to start that task anytime they choose to. On the other hand, Lee, Brad, Michael, and Robert were about to begin theirs for high school which didn't permit them much time to offer their assistance. Lee and Brad for their senior year; and Michael and Robert for their junior year. However, they did help wherever they were needed to keep everything on schedule which should allow the two eldest guys to celebrate their lives together and favorite holiday.
Throughout the week the guys continued their shopping excursions. Jermaine also organized with the caterers on the menu regarding the party as well as baking the desserts he was contributing with Andre's assistance. In their spare time they ran errands to gather the ingredients, supplies, and decorations that they still needed for both occasions.
The Friday before Christmas the four boys were waiting for Jermaine and Andre in front of the school once they were finished with taking their exams. They all had a letter excusing them from school early to allow them to help set up for the party. They arrived at Clarkson Industries and had no problems with getting pass security. By now they were well known by many, plus they were with the owner of the company, so they just headed directly to the conference room to get started on their task.
Once there, Jermaine gave them instructions on how he wanted everything arranged just as the Caterers and DJ entered the room. He conveyed the same instructions to them then was free to help out with the preparations. Soon it was all done with five minutes left to spare. Once they had caught their breath, Jermaine gave the DJ the signal to start playing the music as he and his brood headed towards the door. They had only been standing there for a minute when employees started arriving. As Jermaine handled the introductions, he made sure to reintroduce his family to everyone. The last to arrive at the party was Mary and her husband plus Keith and his family. Soon the room was filled with employees and their families including the boss's ready to party and have fun.
To pass the time the whole group sat at a table for a heart-to-heart. They chatted about work, school, and inconsequential things as they waited for Jermaine to make his announcement. Sometime during the discussion their table companions complemented the boys on the nice job they did with the decorations. The boys accepted their appreciations with grace and sincerity but asked them not to make a big deal of it because they were happy to do it.
An hour into the celebration, Jermaine approached the DJ's table. By now he knew the routine so he just handed him the mike without being told. "Welcomed everyone to the 2019 Christmas celebration for Clarkson's Industries. I hope you all had a good year this year and will make 2020 even better. Please enjoy the party; plus the food and drink that are located around the room whenever you want something to nibble on. We'll be serving the main entrees as soon as the caterers have everything prepared so try not to get filled up because you don't want to miss out on the delicious feast they had prepared for you."
He then handed back the mike and rejoined his family until the caterers announced that everything was ready. The tables were set with a variety of dishes such as barbecue, roasted, and fried chicken, mashed potatoes, baked beans, baked macaroni and cheese, cabbage, candied yams with and without marshmellows, pmacaroni, pasta, and potato salads, devil eggs, cornbread, biscuits, and rolls. Several variety of drinks including fruit-punch and apple cider were also being offered. Desserts consisted of lemon and orange meringue pie, fruitcake and cookies, strawberry shortcake, and regular and chocolate cheesecake with raspberry, cherry, and strawberry toppings.
As always, Jermaine allowed everyone to go up and grab a plate before he and his family did. When they returned, they rejoin Mary, George, Keith, Joanne and their children at the table. The adults congratulated Jermaine on throwing another fantastic holiday party and told him that they were really looking forward to next year's party because they knew it'll be just as marvelous.
From time to time other employees came up to express the same sentiments and congratulate him on a job well done. Not only with the party; but with the company as well. They all love working for him because he always makes sure their happy and contented with what they're doing and they appreciate his employees' loyalty, responsibilities, and obligations to their family and company.
To say that the party was a complete success was an understatement. Around seven o'clock Jermaine approached the DJ's table once again and the whole room suddenly became quiet. "Thank you all for coming. I hope you had a good time and enjoyed yourself. The party will continue, but please don't feel like you need to stay for its entirety. Anyone can leave anytime they wish to; don't forget to get your gift from under the tree on your way out. Please enjoy your time off and have a great Christmas. Come back refreshed and ready to start the new year off in high spirits and enthusiasm. Once again, thank you all; and I and my family wish you happy holidays!"
An hour later people wished the boys goodnight and happy holidays as they started to leave. Jermaine returned the sentiments and reminded everyone to not forget their gift and insisted that everyone take some containers of food home since there was plenty left over and so that no one have to bother with cooking tomorrow. Thirty minutes later the DJ and caterers left as well leaving Mary and George, Keith Joanne and their kids, and the boys were left to straighten up the conference room.
By eight o'clock everything was put back in order and Mary and Keith wished the boys goodnight and happy holidays. This time it was Andre who returned the sentiments and said they'll see them on Christmas Day. Before they departed, Jermaine also reminded them not to forget their gift and containers from the left overs. Shortly afterwards, the boys loaded their vehicle with the remaining containers and made sure that the building was locked up then left as well.
They arrived home and put away the containers before making themselves something to drink then taking seats in the living room to go over their plans for the next few days. Jermaine still has several more desserts to make for the shelter's Christmas dinner as well as his main project which will be his special gift for the boys of the house on Christmas. When they had gone over everything and had it all in order, they headed to bed.
The next few days were spent making the desserts and preparing some of the dishes they will have on Christmas Day. This will give Jermaine the time on Christmas Eve to work on his special project with no interruptions since he wants it to be a surprise. Although he did most of the baking, he had all of the help he needed. Michael and Robert had just gotten their driver's license so they ran most of the errands. That way they would remain on schedule and the two could get more driving experience in as well.
The day of the shelter's dinner came and the boys arrived early to help with the set-up. At six o'clock on the dot, the doors opened as scheduled. Soon the building was filled to capacity with people looking for a good meal. There just seem to be more homeless than Jermaine had ever seen since he started volunteering there. The boys were hoping that there were no teens in need of a safe haven this year; however, they still kept an eye out for any just in case. They weren't going to leave any kid out in the cold during what should be the joyous time of the year if they can help it. Jermaine, however, was hoping it wouldn't come to that. He wanted to have a Christmas without seeing a teenager looking for some shelter from the freezing weather but only time will tell.
As usual, once the director had blessed the food, a line was formed for everyone to get their share and find a seat then it was the volunteers turn. The boys found an available table that wasn't occupied and was shortly joined by Jason, Chris and Spin who had arrived just before the doors were opened.
"How is Jen?" Jermaine asked once the three had sat down.
"She's ready to explode." Jason smiled with a mischievous grin on his face. "She can't believe how much weight she had put on; and wants her body back."
They all giggled at Jason's teasing of his sister's weight but did feel sympathy towards her condition.
"We'll help her in getting her figure back once she gets her doctor's okay." Jermaine offered when the laughter had died down with Andre nodding in agreement.
"I'm sure she'll appreciate that." Jason grinned evilly. "Especially if she gets to see you shirtless and all sweaty."
The four boys and Spin laughed but immediately stopped when Jermaine and Andre gave them a disapproving look. They didn't find it funny because they knew how Jen felt towards Jermaine and they didn't want to hurt her but Andre couldn't bite his tongue any longer and last year had to confront her on her constant flirting with him. Jason saw their expression and apologized for his bad choice of words which they accepted with no animosity because they knew he didn't mean anything of it.
Thanks to the director joining them at their table; nothing else was said on that subject. The guys didn't want to upset Andre and/or Jermaine, or make them feel bad over the situation. Although Jennifer had stopped the constant flirting with Jermaine, neither he nor Andre wanted her being teased about it. However, they didn't completely escape the topic because the director sat down and asked how things were going with them. No one could figure out how to avoid the question; but they did come up with a way to bypass it. Their answers were vague but somewhat allusive.
Once they got passed that awkward moment, the rest of the conversation was friendly and jovial. They all enjoyed the camaraderie of the visit. Before they knew it, it was time for them to leave.
Arriving at home, the boys put away the empty containers while Jermaine and Andre got started on preparing the feast for tomorrow. They wanted Christmas Day to relax and enjoy themselves without doing much running around franticly. Some prepared dishes would able them to do that and cut the cooking time. By eleven they did what they could do and adjourned to the living room to discuss the events for tomorrow. That discussion didn't take long because everyone knew their duties so they headed to bed shortly afterwards.
Around midnight Jermaine's cell began to ring urgently. After answering and discovering the reason for the call, he and Andre quickly dressed, left a message for the boys in case they woke up, then hightailed it out of the house to Montgomery General Hospital like their pants were on fire.
Although they tried getting there ASAP, they took their time so there wouldn't be any accident along the way. Within twenty minutes they arrived and quickly parked. Fortunately it was a slow night so there were plenty of empty spaces for their picking. Choosing one closest to the door, they headed straight to the elevators. Already knowing what floor she was on, they got off there to find Jason and Spin waiting for them in the waiting room.
"How is she?" Both guys asked at the same time.
"She's doing well but it won't be long now. I think she was just holding on until you guys got here. Mom and Dad are in there with her now, but she'll be glad that you're here. I came out to show you guys to her room."
Both guys nodded then Jason led them back to Jennifer's room. When they entered, she was lying on the bed going through her breathing exercises with her parents holding her hands. All they got out was hi before the doctor and nurse entered the room to check on her status. The doctor announced that she was close to full dilation and asked for everyone to clear the room except for Jennifer and the coach. Both the doctor and nurse was surprise when Jennifer announced that she has not one, but two, coaches and she wants them both there when she delivers.
"That's somewhat uncommon, but not unheard of." The doctor admitted. "Who are the two coaches that you want with you?"
When Jennifer told him, the doctor asked the nurse to take the two to scrub up. He then escorted the others out to the waiting room to have a seat. He informed them that he would come out to let them know when it was over and take them back to see her. He then too went to scrub up.
Jennifer was still continuing her breathing exercises when he entered the room ten minutes later. When he checked her prognosis, he announced that she was fully dilated and ready to proceed. "On your next contraction, I want you to give me a hard push, okay?"
Jennifer nodded that she understood. When the contraction hit, she gave one mighty push while squeezing both Jermaine and Andre's hand with a vice-like grip. Both guys counted to five then told her to breathe. They continued that way with both encouraging and cheering her on. Within fifteen minutes a beautiful baby boy was brought into the world. But it wasn't over yet; they had to go through the process once again. A minute later Jennifer groan with another contraction and gave one more push. Three minutes later an identical bundle of joy joined his brother in the land of the living.
Once the umbilical cordsumbilicalmbilical umbilical cords were cut and their breathing passages cleared, the doctor swatted them on the rear. Both babies showed a strong pair of lungs. They were then cleaned up and was about to be placed in Jennifer's arms when she told the doctor to give them to their fathers and the doctor did just that.
Meanwhile, Mr. and Mrs. Carpenter, Jason, and Spin were anxiously waiting for news on Jennifer. Approximately thirty-five minutes later the doctor came out to inform everyone of her condition. "It all went well. Jennifer now has two healthy baby boys. Six pounds eight ounces, twenty-two inches, light brown complexion, a full set of black hair with honey-blonde streaks, and violet green eyes. They both look just like their parents."
They all smiled at that great news. Mr. and Mrs. Carpenter thanked him for delivering their grandchildren as Mr. Carpenter shook his hands and Mrs. Carpenter gave him a hug. Jason and Spin thanked him as well then he led them to the room. When they walked in, they saw Jennifer sitting up in the bed Brest-feeding the twins with Jermaine and Andre watching with love, gratitude, and appreciation.
Both mom and dad gave her a kiss on the forehead of congratulation for the new additions to the family. Their congratulation to the guys was with a hug and a promise to babysit anytime they needed one. Without any hesitation, Jason and Spin followed through with the same sentiment and promise.
After the twins were fed, they were passed around so the others could have a chance to hold them. By the time everyone got their turn, they were asleep and Jennifer was nodding off as well. Jermaine and Andre put the boys in their bassinette, everyone said goodnight to Jennifer and wished her pleasant dreams, then headed home and straight to bed.
Although it was quite late when Jermaine and Andre got home, they were up at their regular time to make breakfast for their family. They have a lot to celebrate and they were doing it by making French toast and/or pancake stuffed with raspberries, maple syrup, omelets with onions, green peppers, mushrooms, ham, cheese, and hollandaise sauce, sausages, bacon, and hash brown. For drinks there were apple, orange, grape, and pineapple juice, milk, coffee, and hot chocolate.
Everything was just about done when their brood entered the kitchen wishing them a Merry Christmas which was returned cheerfully. . However, the exhaustion on their two older housemates face didn't go unnoticed by any of the four. "Why do you guys look so tired? Didn't you get enough sleep last night?" Brad asked them.
"Not much." Jermaine uttered. But before another question could be asked, he told them to have a seat and they will discuss it over breakfast.
Once everyone had filled their plates, Jermaine and Andre told them everything about last night. All four congratulated both guys on their new addition and enthusiastically declared how they couldn't wait to see and play with the babies then wondered out loud when that would be. Andre told them that it wouldn't be until he and Jermaine brought them home on Friday, but they will take them to the hospital tomorrow.
"On second thought, I'll make a plate for you guys to take to her." Andre instead changed his mind. "That way she can celebrate Christmas like the rest of us; even though she can't be here to enjoy it with us. I'll also give you her gifts so you can take them to her. Lee and Brad both have their license so they can drive you there."
Jermaine agreed to that suggestion. "I'll make a plate for you to drop off with her later so she can have a nice dinner as well. I know she rather have something good instead of that nasty hospital food that no one wants to eat."
All four boys agreed with a giggle. They finished breakfast then Andre prepared the plate for Jennifer while the boys cleared the table before going to take their showers and Jermaine loaded the dishwasher. Before they left, Andre handed them the plate along with some treats that Jermaine had made to give to Jennifer. Once they were gone, Jermaine with the assistance from Andre, got started on the Christmas dinner in order to stay on schedule.
It was around eleven o'clock when the boys returned and the two took a break for some lunch which Jermaine had made while cooking. The Hungarian goulash and garlic bread was quick and easy to make and just as quick and easy devoured. After clearing up, they got back to work but now they had more help to accomplish that task.
Around two o'clock everyone began getting ready to receive their guests. Due to being the main chefs, Jermaine and Andre were last to shower and dress then returned back to cooking while the others conducted the greetings. The first to arrive was Mary and George, followed by Andre's parents along with his aunt and uncle, and finally the others. The ladies took over the cooking when the judge arrived so he and the grooms could discuss any last minutes arrangements. There weren't any so they called everyone to the semi-large multipurpose room to take their position. That's where the guys decided to hold the ceremony because of the elecquilics sound-affect that made the sounds perfect and professional.
Mrs. Reynolds lit the candle for Andre and Mary lit the one for Jermaine in place of his mother. Once everyone was in place, the judge gave the signal and the background music began playing, followed by a smooth sultry voice as the ring bearer and flower girl took their walked down the aisle.

By the time Jermaine was finished, Andre was silently bawling his eyes out with joy and happiness. Everyone gave him the time he needed to dry his eyes and compose himself. When he did, recited his own heartfelt words. "When we met, you saved me from being bullied by two sleezeball. The special guests left but the reception continued on. From time to time Jermaine occasionally stepped away to check on the cooking which wasn't much because it had already been taken care of.
