Date: Tue, 23 Sep 2003 15:02:49 -0800 From: Angel Boy Subject: The Alan Stives Story This story is made up from my mind, and is totally fiction. Sex will most likely come later in the chapters. So hold out for it. Just when you think it will get worse, it does........... I sat there with my head down and eyes staring at the now interesting rug on the floor waiting for a response. Nothing. I finally looked up at them and they were just staring at me not saying a word. Mike finally spoke. Mike is my step dad, and although we get along pretty good, at times he gets on my shit list. I never call him my dad, just Mike. "What are you talking about Alan?" he asked. "I'm talking about what I just said." My stomach felt like it was turning in knots. Now it was my mom's turn. "Well, that's unacceptable." she said. Unacceptable...for some reason I knew I would hear that stupid phrase I've heard my whole life. I hated it. "Why?" "Because it just is, and we don't approve of this at all." she said. I was about to explode from anger and frustration when my cell phone rang. It was my friend Melissa Luegos. Melissa has been my friend since 8th grade when we had gym together. This girl was very tough, and she would hang with the boys in every sport we did. She was really nerdy in junior high though, but when we got to high school all of a sudden this girl sprang into a beautiful full bodied Hispanic queen. She is absolutely gorgeous, with long black hair, naturally tan skin, big brown eyes, and a body to die for. I know she's a good friend, but it's fact. She's ridiculously hot. "Let me call you back." My voice was serious enough I think that all she said was ok and I hung up. "Why? I can't help it if I feel this way.... it's not your problem anyway." I said turning my attention back to Mike. "Dammit Alan, I will not have this do you hear me?! Do you hear me?!" My dad suddenly rose up out of his chair screaming at the top of his lungs. Didn't I say I never called him my dad, well maybe just this once. "How long have you known?" He bellowed. "A while now. I didn't say anything because I knew this is how you would react." I said. "Well you're damn right you knew how we would react. Why did you wait this long?" "I've been thinking a lot about it, and I just feel really strong about this. I waited because I just didn't want to tell you earlier, but this is how I feel." I said. "Hmm, well I don't agree with this. I still think you should just stay here and go to college, instead of going all the way across the country." "Wait a minute.....the last time I checked you're not the one going to college here Mike!" I shot back. "Honey what is the point of going all the way out of state to go to school when you know it's not affordable. Just stay here where it's cheaper." My mom tried to put the finance trip on me, 'you know we can't afford it crap', but I wasn't having this shit...Oh no not now. "I'll just use financial aid." I said. "Well you do whatever the hell you want to do, I don't care." Mike said "I know you don't and that's why I've made my decision, and I leave next month by the way." With that I walked out the door, got in my car and started driving. I was lost in thought and anger when my cell rang again. Shit it was Melissa. I picked it up. "Hey I was just about to call you back, what's up girl?" "Two hours later Alan, yeah right. What's going on?" She asked. "I don't know, you tell me." "You on your way to the Mazzo's?" "Sure." "Well, we're already here so we'll see ya when you get here." She said. "Who's we?" I already knew the answer to that question. "Me and Elliott." Elliott Sheng, my best friend since second grade. We've grown up together, we went to school together, and always made sure to have at least one class with each other each semester. We're inseparable. We played basketball together in school until he broke his leg before the beginning of our senior season. He was really depressed about it, but he got over it and was allowed to help out with the coaches. Elliott is a great looking kid, 6' about 175, muscled nicely. Years of practice and conditioning have really paid off for this Asian guy, not that he's overly built but he's good enough. He has short black hair and the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen. Light brown, and if you saw him you would know what I meant. Wherever he is there's a good time, and whenever there's the two of us there's a riot. He's always been there for me, and I've always been there for him. Like I said...inseparable. "Alright I'll be there in five." I said hanging up my phone. I guess my introduction is next. All right let me tell you about myself. My name is Alan Stives. I'm 19 and about to go to college after taking a year off after high school graduation. It was my choice to take the break, and it was my choice to go to college. Plus, I want to get out from under my parents. Like I already said, I'm an athlete, I love sports, and have been blessed and cursed with a very quick metabolism, and as a result I've been a pretty skinny guy my whole life. Although I'm skinny I've put on some muscle over the past year, which makes me look a lot better. I myself am 6' 1" and 170, Black hair, brown eyes, and I'm Black. My life was about to change big time after I left for college, but I would be ready...I was hoping at least. I drove a few more blocks when the view of my favorite restaurant showed before my eyes. I pulled in the lot parked my truck, got out and went inside to meet my friends. "Oh my gosh Melissa look....a suspicious black man has entered the building, please call the police now!" "Fuck you Elliott." I said sternly. I really was not in the mood for any humorous jokes. "Oooh a bit on the sensitive side are we?" he said laughing. I just sat down and paid no attention to him at all. We sat there for a few minutes after we had ordered not saying anything. I knew I was bringing the mood down big time, so I got up and went to the bathroom to try and relax a bit. For the past month or so I have been trying to come to terms with my sexuality. I've known for a long time I liked guys and that I was attracted, but I couldn't accept it. I'll see a nice looking girl walking by and of course I'll notice her if she's good looking or has a nice body. But they just don't get the physical part done for me. Nobody knew I was gay, and I wasn't planning on telling anyone anytime soon. Not even my best friends knew about me. The guy I've grown up with, who I've told every secret to, who has told every secret to me. And Melissa although I haven't known her as long as Elliott, she's still my best friend, has no idea about me. I had planned on telling them in the future, sometime in the far future that is. Bringing myself back to reality I splashed some water on my face and looked in the mirror. I looked at my reflection for a good 30 seconds, and I laughed. What a joke. I went back to my seat and sat down. I saw that the food had arrived so I joined everyone and started to eat. After a few minutes of silence while we were eating Melissa finally said something. "So Alan what was going on earlier when I called?" "Disagreement with my parents. They want me to stay here and go to college where it's cheaper, but they really just want to keep tabs on me." I said. "Well, maybe their just worried about you man." Elliott said while chewing his food like it had committed a crime against him. "Worried?!!About what? I've never broken the law, I've never done drugs or anything to give them reason to worry." I said very annoyed at the thought. I've always been a good kid. I've never smoked, or done drugs, although I do drink occasionally. There have been times in my life where I wish I were a bad boy so I could just say I've done stuff. But then again I'm glad I'm not a bad guy, because if I was, I would be absolutely rude to everybody and totally out of control. Thankfully as the night went on the mood lightened up big time as we got more and more food into our systems, and as we talked with each other. "Damn, I can't believe in like a month you're gonna be all the way across the country." Elliott said. "I know...I can't wait, I'm so ready to go." "You better go over there and stay then, you've been talking all this shit about 'oh I can't wait to get out of here' so you better do what you need to do." "Yes father. I'll make sure to do that." I said with a smile. "Nah man, well I'm just sayin..." "Yeah, I know. Thanks Elliott." I said. Was this one of those friends sounding like a parent chats we were having here? He sounded like my parents, but I knew he just meant well. Good ol' Alan, always wanting to sound the most responsible, yet was the most goofy. The three of us spent the rest of the night laughing and having a good time with people staring at our table constantly. After we parted ways I took the long way home, taking my time, clearing my head. When I finally got home it was around 2am and I was dead tired. I went upstairs to my room and fell face first onto my bed without even bothering to take any clothes off. Then I had the weirdest dream I've ever had in my life: I was running for my life. It was dark and rainy and I was running outside. But what the hell was I doing outside? I heard my footsteps hitting the ground but it seemed like I heard my heart beating even louder than that. As I looked back behind me all I saw was a shadow....a big shadow. It was getting closer, holy shit whatever it was it was huge. What the hell is going on here, why is it raining so hard, and again what the hell am I doing out here? I looked around at my surroundings as I ran and realized that I didn't recognize anything, not one building, not one street sign. I was running and I was scared. I could hear this thing gaining on me, the sound of its breathing sending chills through my whole body, oh my god it was some kind of beast after me. All of a sudden everything went quiet and everything was in slow motion. All I heard was my footsteps and the footsteps of this monster behind me. boom.....booM....boOm....bOOm....BOOM....BOOM..BOOM. I was running as fast as I possible could, but it was no use, I couldn't outrun this thing. It grabbed me by the back of my neck and wrapped its arm around my throat. Silence....breathing....breathing....This thing was right up on my ear and I could feel it's heartbeat on my back and it's hot breath on my face. Then it whispered something barely audible in my ear, "Every time you try to run away from me, I'll catch you. You will NEVER escape until you stop and face me." Then it let go of me. When I turned around it was gone. I opened my eyes and I sat up and thought about that dream. I realized...I knew what the message meant. All right, that's Part 1 of this story.
