It was the day of showing the play to the author. He wasn't nervous about it, he just enjoyed the spare time, because he didn't have to go to school that day. Ben and Seth had left for hours and he was able to have a nap. His studies went well, and he wrote a letter to his parents and informed them about everything. Well not everything, he wasn't going to tell them about his affairs with the boys. He found that his parents did well sending him. He enjoyed himself very much in this new school, there were so much more of his kind. Well, not the gay part, but there were more boys he could talk to about important things. He knew he was never going to get his old naive self back, but he wasn't sure if he'd have liked to. That boy who poured his heart out and got burned; something was still inside him that remained after the first heartbreak of his life, but he thought it was only natural. He sat up in the bed and got dressed. Colin was already out practicing his lines with the others, so he had the whole room for himself. He went around and called his memories back. He had such a good time with the boys. They spent whole nights up and talking about so many things. He could speak with them about many things even philosophy and other advanced subjects he began to show interest for. The door opened and pulled Andy back to reality. It was Colin he was sweating. He grabbed Andy's hand and pulled him. `Come on! The author has arrived. He wants to speak with you before the show.' `What? He's here; I wanted to chat with him too.' They ran down the stairs, across the hall and to the practice stage where there was a coated priest standing. He smiled at Andy, he must have been around hi late 30s. He shook hands with Andy and invited him out of the room: `Hi! My name is reverend Michaels, I hear that you'll play Charles, is it true?' `Yes, sir!' `Well, let's go out to fresh air and have a few words, shall we? We'll be back in time for the performance to start.' `Well, alright!' They walked out of the building it was blazing sunshine. Andy told just about everything to reverend Michaels, why he was sent here by his parents, how Pete broke his heart and everything. Even he didn't know why he was so open to the reverend, but it couldn't be helped. `So, now I'm playing your main character. Isn't it a suitable one for me?' `Yes, I think it is. You are very much like that friend of mine, who was the base of that character.' `Can you tell me something about him, sir?' `Oh! Well, maybe a little bit, I don't think he would mind. He was a very handsome boy and his story took place in this school more than 15 years ago. He formed that secret club and became one of the most popular boys at school. He was a real leader. Then, that scandal broke out. He thought that it was best to leave the school after the homosexual teacher was fired, but his friends didn't let him leave. They were a nice bunch of people.' `So he stayed here and graduated?' `Yes, and all of it because of his friends.' `Were you one of these friends, reverend?' `Well...' Andy has just noticed that they were back at the entrance to the practice stage. Reverend Michaels peeked right and left in the corridor, there was no one else there. So he hugged Andy and gave him a long and emotional kiss. Andy had just realized that reverend Michaels was Charles. And it was his story. he couldn't believe it. It was just like finding his older self. He had been trough alot, like Andy, and he could understand him. That night went very well, and Andy played his part wonderful. It was a total success among the teachers and every guest. After the last act Andy saw reverend Michaels for the last time in his life. He waved at him and smiled widely with a small light of tear in his eyes. Andy waved back and wafted a kiss to him he too smiling with honour, and happiness. He probably had one of the best days in his life. ------------------------------------------------------------ -- Andy's life -- ------------------------------------------------------------ -- Next time -- -- Chapter 18 -- -- Holiday with the boys -- ------------------------------------------------------------ -- Please give me feedback! -- -- endi.kovacsendi@gmail.com -- ------------------------------------------------------------ -- -- -- Now I have the whole series planned. -- -- -- -- Chapter 19 -- -- The deepest Pete of Hell -- -- -- -- Chapter 20 -- -- Self-Defence -- -- -- -- Chapter 21 -- -- Love you forever -- -- -- ------------------------------------------------------------
