This story is about a budding relationship between homosexual teenagers. This means there will be sexually explicit material. If you're too young to read then don't get caught doing so. If it's illegal for you to read this type of material then you probably shouldn't be doing that either. This story is part fiction, part fact but all the names and places have been changed to protect the identity of the people involved. The first three chapters came out pretty quickly but with things winding back up at the end of summer, updates are going to be a little further apart. So while I'll make every effort to get new chapters out every few days, it may be upwards of a week and a half if I'm really swamped. Thanks to everyone who's written so far! Ya'll are too numerous to name now but your writing means a lot to me! But most of all I want to thank my editor Wildman for helping out with proof reading and stuff. You rock dude! ------------------------ Because You Make Me Chapter 4 -- I Always Win By: Meester Matt I woke up to blinding sunlight sneaking through the partially open blinds. It was nice and warm under the covers with Danny spooning my back, his arm draped lightly over my chest. I opened my eyes to focus on the clock. It was only 6:20. Damn, too early to be up. I yawned and pushed back against Danny for a couple more minutes, just enjoying the moment. But I had to pee, so I couldn't rest for long. My stiffy throbbed and my bladder felt like it was going to burst. I gently rolled onto my stomach, careful not to disturb Danny. His arm was still draped across my chest but while I moved, his hand brushed my nipple. The tingle caused my cock to jump on its own. It was far more intense than I ever expected. I slid out from under Danny's arm and tossed back the covers so I could get out of bed. I pulled the blanket back over Danny's body so he wouldn't get cold. I stretched quickly, arching my back which caused my dick pop out the fly of my PJ's. I didn't bother to cover it up. I looked back at him for the first time since I stirred. He's beautiful when he sleeps. Well, he's always beautiful but especially when he's sleeping. From the funny expression on his sleeping face, to the soft whistling noise he makes when he breaths, everything about him is just... breathtaking. I reluctantly turned away, shoving my dick back inside my PJ bottoms as best I could. I stepped out into the hallway and closed the door gently behind me. The house was quiet, meaning everyone was still asleep. I tip toed to the bathroom and closed the door. It took a bit of trying but I was finally able to push my hard dick down enough to piss. That's probably the only down side to being a guy; it gets hard at the most inopportune times. I flushed and washed my hands. I figured I'd wait to shower until after I changed the oil on the car. I did brush my teeth though to get that out of the way. I went back to my room and closed the door behind me. I locked it just to be safe -- can't let us be caught in some compromising position... like Danny and I sleeping together. There's no way I could possibly explain my way out of a situation that. Speaking of sleeping beauty, he was still sound asleep, exactly where I left him. I looked at the clock again. It read 6:35. I had another half hour to cuddle. But I was still hard and needed to get off. I slowly lifted up the covers and crawled back into bed, this time facing him so I could watch him sleep. I scooted up close and gently lifted his arm over me. I leaned forward so that my forehead was just barely brushing his. I could feel his warm breath against my chin and my arm around him. On impulse, I pecked him lightly on the forehead. He didn't react, which meant he was still asleep. That's how I remained for about 20 minutes, just staring at him. He finally moved. I felt his leg brush up against mine and his arm pulled me close. I did the same and we came together, tummy to tummy, knee to knee, forehead to forehead. He let out a long sleepy sigh and yawned before his eyes fluttered open, staring directly into my own. He smiled and I squeezed him a bit tighter. I don't know where my sudden burst of courage came from but I was enjoying the moment too much to pull away. I whispered good morning to him. He tilted his head slightly and gave me a curious grin. "What are you doing?" he whispered in reply. "Nothing, just waiting for you to wake up." I said. "Have you been waiting long?" "Yeah, about a half hour." I teased. I wanted to tell him how cute he was when he slept but didn't want to freak him out. Instead, I rubbed my nose playfully against his. "Did you sleep well?" He asked, returning my nose rub. "The best I ever have." I replied truthfully. "Me too." He said. I shifted onto my back and stared at the ceiling. The sunlight reflecting off something shiny painted a colorful picture on my ceiling. Danny took the opportunity to stretch out his smooth 5'11 frame. His morning wood poked my thigh and he pulled back quickly to hide it. I didn't care. I wish he had ground it against me or something, anything. I sighed comfortably and put my arm back around his chest, pulling him close. He rested his head on mine and we stayed that way until his breathing slowed a few minutes later. When I looked up, he had fallen back to sleep. I pecked him again on the forehead and got out of bed. That's twice, for those who are keeping count. The clock read 7:15. I pulled on a t-shirt and some track pants, put on my glasses and grabbed my wallet. Everyone was still asleep. I walked downstairs to the kitchen and poured myself a glass of orange juice. I drank it all down in a couple of gulps cause I was pretty thirsty (for Danny). I poured another. And another after that. I love orange juice, but only the good stuff... none of that from concentrate shit :). I rinsed my glass and put it on the counter. The sunlight glimmering off the pool water caught my eye through the window. The water looked great this morning and I felt like going for a swim. Maybe later I thought, unhooking the keys to the Montana and went to find my shoes. I couldn't find them, so I dug my sandals out from under my backpack and slipped them on my feet. I waited patiently for the garage door to slowly rise along its track. I silently cursed the opener for making that hum noise that transmitted directly into my room above. In Dolby Digital quality at that. It was cool outside. I shivered a little looking up at the deep blue sky. I've only ever seen sky this blue over Alberta. Today, it was only scarred by the contrail of a passing plane high above. At this hour, heading north-west, it could only be a United Boeing 777 heading to Tokyo or Hong Kong. Probably from Chicago. I watched it until it disappeared on the horizon a few minutes later. I transferred my gaze to the Montana. I love this car. I couldn't help but think of the dialog from the commercials on TV; "It's an all new Montana, the SV6. The minivan designed for family adventure." I chuckled to myself over my silly obsession with cars. I pushed the unlock button on the keyless entry remote and climbed in. I have my learner's permit right now but have to wait until November to take my driving test. Stupid graduated licensing thing. I love driving, I'll go anywhere and drive for days on end. There was no one around so I figured I could get away with taking a quick spin up the hill for a mountain view. I started the car, put on my seatbelt and backed out of the driveway. I turned onto Edgemont Drive and headed towards the park at the top of the hill. The morning is the best time to look because it's usually clear. Today was no exception. It was beautiful. I put the car in park and got out for a better look. The wind picked up and the cool air sent a chill down my spine. I thought about Danny snuggled up in my warm bed and turned back towards the car. After turning the van around, I floored it for shits and giggles. The tires screeched a fair bit ... I'm not perfect, I drive a bit fast :). The Pontiac Montana. Built for Drivers. And, their families! Okay, okay, enough car stuff. I turned into my driveway and drove up into the garage. To my surprise, Danny was sitting on the steps leading into the house - looking all cute and stuff. He was wearing his mesh shorts from yesterday and the Simpson's t-shirt he wore to bed. I parked the car and got out. "Hey, where'd you go?" Danny asked. He got up and walked towards me. "Just up the hill a bit, the mountains are beautiful this morning." "Awww, I love looking at the mountains." I didn't know Danny whined like that. It was so cute! "Well... here, help me out for a second, I have an idea." I went to the tool box and found a ratchet set and some sockets. I dug through one of the drawers and picked up the oil filter wrench and handed both to Danny. Danny loves cars as much as I do, but he doesn't know a spark plug from a strut. He looked at them curiously, I don't think he'd ever seen a filter wrench before either. It's kind of a corky looking thing. I stood on my tippie toes and reached around for the drain pan. I finally found it and brought it down. "What do you want me to do with these?" Danny asked. "Just hold onto them for a second." I got on the ground and crawled under the front of the car. I setup the drain pan underneath the oil spout and crawled out. "Pass me the ratchet kit." I said to Danny. He handed me the plastic box and I crawled back under the car and hunted around for a 15mm socket. After much cursing and swearing at my lack of strength, I got the plug unscrewed and the oil started to drain out into the pan. It was pretty dirty. I crawled back out from under the car. "Want to go look at the mountains while this is draining?" I asked Danny. "Uhh, yeah, sure." "Just put that filter wrench under the front of the car, I'm going to wash my hands." I went house and washed my hands real quick in the laundry room sink. I sprinted to the kitchen and grabbed the keys to the other car. I listened at the bottom of the stairs to see if anyone was awake. All quiet. Danny was waiting for me outside on the driveway when I entered the garage. I walked up beside him and he started down my driveway towards the sidewalk. I hit the unlock button on the remote and the Malibu's lights blinked. Danny stopped and turned to look at me. "You don't have your license do you??" He asked. "Not exactly..." I grinned mischeviously. "Then why..." I got in the driver's seat and motioned for Danny to get in the car. He walked around and got in the passenger side. "Well be quick, don't worry." I said. "Besides, I'll be surprised if anyone wakes up before 9. They looked pretty beat last night." Danny shook his head at me and put on his seatbelt. I did too. I started the Malibu and backed out of the driveway. I saw Danny shudder in the corner of my eye. He crossed his arms and rubbed his forearms to keep warm. I reached over and pushed a button on the dash. "Heated seats. So your scrawny ass can warm up." He punched me playfully. "Nice car." He said. I hummed in agreement. We were the first in Calgary and 18th in Canada to buy the new 2004 Malibu LS when it came out at the end of 2003. So our license plate was "1MALIBU" -- I always though that was pretty cool. I took the same route up the hill and parked by the overlook pathway. The view really is spectacular from up there. We got out and I walked around to Danny's side and leaned against the car, facing the mountains. We stood there about 5 minutes looking at the scenery before heading home. I didn't screech the tires this time though. "I wish could wake up to a mountain view like that every morning." I said. "Yeah, I know. It's so peaceful out there." Danny looked at his feet for a moment, seeming like he wanted to say more. I parked the car in the driveway and looked over at him. We made eye contact and he looked somewhat nervous. My expression changed from confused to concern. He quickly gave a small smile to let me know he was ok. We do that a lot you know... talk with our facial expressions. We can carry on a whole conversation sometimes without even speaking a word. I wanted to know what was on his mind right now but he started to get out, so I didn't push it. I locked the Malibu and went back to finish what I had started. Making out with Danny. *Shakes head* Sorry, I mean changing the oil. Danny crawled underneath with me and looked totally lost. He has this blank expression when he doesn't understand something that is just too funny. I had to laugh. I finished up about 20 minutes later and we went inside to clean up. The house was still quiet. "Are you hungry? I asked him. "Not especially." I wasn't too hungry either. "Thirsty then?" "Not really. We should probably go shower and get ready though. You still haven't told me where we're going today... all I heard was Edmonton. Are we going there??" "I'll tell you in the car!" I teased, running upstairs, careful not to make too much noise. Danny followed suit and we went back to my room. I closed and locked the door behind him. Danny pounced on me and I feel back onto the bed. He straddled me and pinned my arms above my head just as he had done at the park the day before. I struggled to flip him off, trying hard not to laugh. I couldn't do it. I grabbed a pillow with my free hand and pulled it over my face just as I let go. I couldn't stop laughing. To make matters worse, Danny started running his fingers lightly down my stomach, and I am SUPER ticklish there. I started to get hard again but was so busy trying to breath that I didn't notice right away. Danny stopped tickling me and I settled down after about a minute. He tossed the pillow off my face and leaned forward with a smug look on his face. "See? I have total control over you. Now tell me where we're going or I'm going to tickle you all the way to..." He lost it, he couldn't keep a straight face either and soon we were both laughing hysterically. I heard a door close and the shower turn on, so I figured our horseplay woke up Mikey. Danny, still straddling me, sat back and in doing so, ended up on my rock hard cock. He started to giggle. We may has well have been naked, because my cock slid right between his sweet cheeks thanks to the paper thin track pants I had on and the loose mesh shorts he was wearing. I didn't know what to do, so I started to giggle too. Best defense: Play dumb. And try to pretend it doesn't feel as fucking amazing as it actually does. He stopped giggling and looked me right in the eyes. I got quiet too, and returned his stare. And then he did it. He leaned forward and we kissed. On the lips. For maybe 10 or 11 seconds. I wasn't counting. No tongue, no groping, eyes open. We just... kissed. And when he pulled back, we just stared at each other. With totally goofy grins. I mouthed a "wow" to myself. My first kiss, from my best friend. My unbelievably hot best friend. Who's ass is sitting on my hard cock. He leaned forward again, but this time rested his head beside mine and whispered in my ear: "You're the best friend I've ever had, Matt. Ever will have. I'm so happy you moved here." I brought my arms around his neck and hugged him tightly. So that's what the whole thing in the car was about, he was wrestling with what I was yesterday afternoon. So just like that, we sealed our friendship. With that one... lingering... kiss. It wasn't about sex. Or love. Or even a relationship. Our small touches, big touches, deep hugs, playful antics... they're just the ways we express our friendship. It's our weird and wacky way of saying `hey, I think you're the coolest friend on the planet'. No, this was about being absolute best friends. The holy grail of friendship. In, *checks watch*, a little over 2 days, we've gone from being complete strangers to each other's comfort blankets. It's just too overwhelming. Absolute best friends. I love that. It's where anything can happen and it's always cool. It doesn't come around often. I guess we just lucked out, being completely compatible and all. I'd love to tell you this started a make out fest where we fucked our brains out, but that'd be a lie. That's not to say, in the heat of the moment, it didn't cross my mind! See, despite the fact that we've gotten the whole best friend issue out of the way, we still have this funny problem. We've had this problem since we first made eye contact. We make out with our eyes. And it's because we're fucking stoopid. Stoopid spelled wrong on purpose. We're a couple of closet cases who are so oblivious to each other's feelings of love and attraction. We know we're making out with our eyes. I KNOW he's into me and he has to know I'm into him. But neither one of us has the balls to take it any further than eye sex. So for now, we're just happy being best friends. Absolutes. You want to know what happened next? So do I. But I'm too cheap to put in another quarter to extend my time in the arcade game known as Matt and Danny. I'm just fucking with you :). I'm all cocky now that I've been kissed by Danny. Ok, back to my bed. With our kiss of friendship out of the way, Danny and I continued to lay there for about 10 minutes. Or maybe it was 5, it doesn't matter, it was until the shower turned off. He on top, face buried against my neck, and my arms around him. I made the first move by rolling us over, so that I was now on top. The swelling had, you know, gone down in our pants... so it wasn't quite as comfortably uncomfortable. I peeled myself off of Danny and sat up so I could look at his beautiful face. His was red, but from an overload of emotions, not crying. We did it again. We made out with our eyes. This time until the bathroom door opened. Mikey always makes so much noise. I slowly slid my hands down his smooth arms and took his hands in mine. I climbed off him and pulled him up with me. "I guess we should get ready huh?" I said. "Yeah, I guess we should." "You can go first?" I offered. "Mkay." He picked up his overnight bag and started rooting around for some clothes to wear. I walked over to my closet and tried to find something for myself to wear. I picked up a pair of boxers and looked back at Danny. He was heading towards the door. Just before he reached it, I called him. "Danny?" He turned around to look at me. I was going to tell him I meant what I said yesterday... about him becoming my best friend so quickly. But I didn't need to, he could see it in my eyes. So instead, I flashed him a smile and winked at him. He giggled in reply before heading out the door. I ended up with khaki cargo's, a Calgary Flames jersey, a white t-shirt to go under the jersey, and the Woody Woodpecker boxers I had picked out previously. Gotta piss off the Edmontonians somehow! The battle of Alberta baby, yeah! I tossed the clothes on the bed and went out to visit Mikey while Danny's in the shower. I shook the thought of him naked with water running off his baby soft body out of my head as I walked by the bathroom door. Mikey's door was ajar and I could hear the soundtrack to Grand Theft Auto: Vice City playing in the background. I pushed through the door and briefly watched my 11 year old brother pimp his way through Vice City. Once the X-Box turns on, it's impossible to get his attention. He becomes one with the TV. A plane could crash through the house and as long as the power still worked, he'd not even notice. His bed was angled towards the TV stand and he was lying on his stomach facing it. I coughed to see how distracted he was. No reaction. He was completely oblivious to my presence. Exxxxcellent, I thought, in my best Mr. Burns impression. I had to take advantage of this. I couldn't resist; I plopped myself down on the bed next to him and scared the shit out of him. "What the fuck???" He exclaimed in surprise, turning around for half a second to see who had the gall to pounce on him. "Hey! Watch your fucking mouth! There's no fucking reason for you to be using that fucking kind of ass eating language you little shit!" I teased. He suppressed a laugh and kicked at me a few times. But he was so into his game that he missed me by a couple of feet. I didn't even have to move. I ruffled his damp dirty blonde hair and laid down beside him to watch him play. "Sorry..." He said after a couple of minutes. "For what?" I asked. I didn't know what he was talking about. "For swearing. I didn't mean to." He continued to play, eyes glued to the TV. I smiled. "I was just teasing you buddy! I don't care, everyone swears. Just don't let mom catch you. She's convinced you're still sweet and innocent because you haven't hit 14 yet. But I know better... I know you're total spaz!" We giggled a little. He was being chased by the cops now. "So what's up?" He asked after he lost the tail. "Nothing, I just wanted come and say good morning. So... G'morning." "Back at you." He replied. I heard the shower shut off so I knew Danny would be out in a few minutes. I watched Mikey play for a few more minutes and got up to back to my room. "Matty?" "Yeah?" I replied. "What movies should we bring for the ride to Edmonton?" He asked. Mikey is the movie master so I figured I'd let him decide. "I don't know, bring a few and we can decide which ones to watch in the car." The Montana has one of those flip down DVD screens. That has to be a gift from God because there's no way we'd get through any road trip listening to AM770, News-Talk-Monotone with my parents. Mikey nodded almost imperceptibly. I went back to my room and sat down at my computer to wait for Danny to finish up. I checked the weather in Edmonton and it didn't look too appealing. The forecast showed a high of 12 with mostly cloudy skies. I made a mental note to bring my jacket. Danny emerged from the bathroom a moment later dressed in jeans and a navy blue long sleeved shirt with a thin gray stripe across the chest. God he looked sexy. I looked back at my computer screen because I didn't want to drool like a fool. "Just leave your clothes on the bed. We'll wash them in the morning." I told him. He mumbled an ok while he tried unsuccessfully to pull on a pair of socks over his damp feet. I got up and went over to the bed to pick up my clothes. He was still struggling with that sock. I shook my head at him and smiled. "Hey retard, try drying your feet next time. You might have better luck!" I teased. "Shuddup, go take your shower fuck face." He shot back. I laughed and did as I was told. The bathroom was still warm and humid from Danny's shower. He must have had the heat turned up quite a bit. I jumped under the warm spray and let the hot water sooth my soul. I thought about Danny. Our kiss. My cock nestled in his sweet crack. Our touches. Anything and everything that was Danny. It didn't take me long to get hard. I reached down and cupped my balls, squeezing them gently. With my left hand, I slid up to my right nipple. I rubbed my fingers over it and then teased it by pinching tugging. I didn't really feel anything. I guess it's more intense when someone else touches you there. I moved my right hand up to my hard 5" dick. I couldn't do this standing up. I directed the shower head upwards a little and started to lie down in the tub. Our shower also doubled as a Jacuzzi bathtub for one person. But despite the warm spray, the fiberglass was fucking cold! I yelped and jumped up when my back made contact with the cold surface. I turned the hot water on full and stood away from the stream, hoping that the tub would warm up. After a couple of minutes, I readjusted the temperature and tried anew. It worked. Now... where was I... oh yeah. I reached down again and wrapped my right hand around my still hard cock. I jacked myself off slowly at first, but I couldn't stand it any longer. I needed to shoot my hot jizz down Danny's sucking throat. My imagination was in overdrive as I pretended Danny was going down on me. I pounded the life and shit out of my dick, trying to keep my whimpering to a minimum. And then I came. Boom. Five, Six, Seven, Eight shots of cum. I had never cum so much in one `session' before I met Danny. I reluctantly let go of my still hard dick and slumped against the back of the tub to recharge. The pools of cum slowly washed down the drain as the spray splashed against my naked torso. I reluctantly stood up five minutes later to get on with my shower. After rinsing the soap from my body, I leaned up against the wall and turned up the water temperature. It felt so nice to stand under the warm spray - I was still recovering from that unbelievable orgasm. My dick by now had gone soft. I figured I had been in long enough and turned off the water. I dried off and pulled on my boxers. Using my towel, I wiped the mirror clean so I could look myself in the eyes. I shifted my gaze to the short dirty blonde hair on my head. It looks brown when wet. I ran my fingers through it a little to mess it up. The water held it in place momentarily before it drooped into an unruly disorder. I like my hair for the most part. I have some natural lighter blonde highlights that make it look cool. Mikey has a lot more though. I looked down at my face. No zits, no blemishes thank God. I had a slight natural tan from being outside most of the summer. Down to my shoulders we go. Pretty well the standard issue. My smooth, flat chest is home to two dime sized nipples. They're ok I guess, nothing special about them. I'd probably lick them if I could reach them. But I'm not, you know, alien so I can't exactly do that because my neck doesn't stretch. And then there's my equally smooth and flat tummy. Nice and slim, no love handles, no belly, just a belly button. It's an innie and serves no fucking purpose that I can tell. My vision dropped to the waistband of my boxers. You know, everyone hates their body. I can look at any piece of my puzzle and find something I dislike. Except my dick. I think it's my best feature. I'm kidding, it's not. I mean, I have no problem with it really. It's not too big because I think that's kinda gross, and it's not too small... which would be fucked up. It fits me. I wonder how big Danny's is... I looked up to my eyes. They're my best feature. The only thing I can't find anything to fault. I'm not being vain, it's the truth. They're great, nice and blue. But they can turn gray if I'm angry or dark blue when I'm sad. It's weird, I wish I knew how that all worked. I had one last staring contest with myself and looked around for my deodorant. I got dressed and debated about doing my hair. I shook my fingers through one more time and decided I'd leave it like that. It dries kind of cool if I mess it up without putting gel in. I gathered up my dirty clothes and went back to my room. Danny was sitting at the computer and looked over briefly to smile. I tossed my clothes on the bed and went over to see what he was looking at. I leaned against the back of the chair and massaged his shoulders as he scrolled through the `Top 8 at 8' song choices on CJAY92's website. "Papa Roach, Chevelle, Breaking Benjamin, The Killers or Tea Party?" He asked. "Tough call. The Killers." I replied. "All These Things That I've Done or Mr. Brightside?" He asked. "All These Things. They're both good but I like that one better. I'm surprised Theory of a Deadman isn't on there yet, that new Santa Monica song rocks." He clicked on the `Vote Now' link and got thanked by the automated system. He closed off Internet Explorer and leaned back in the chair. I looked down at him and continued to massage his shoulders. He made a playful face and blinked a couple of times. A staring contest! I blinked a couple of times myself to prep for my win. Ten seconds. Twenty seconds. Thirty seconds. I was concentrating so hard that I stopped massaging his shoulders. Thirty five seconds and he blinked. "I won!" I blinked a couple of times to refresh my eyes. "Why'd you stop? That felt good." He wiggled his shoulders. I started massaging him again. "I was concentrating too hard on winning." I laughed. "Concentrate on this mofo!" We started again. I tried to massage and concentrate at the same time, but after twenty seconds I blinked. "Haha, I won!" He boasted. "You cheated!" I laughed back. "Did not!" "Yeah you did! I was trying to massage you at the same time, you didn't have to do anything but stare!" "What-Ever! I won that round!" "Best 2 out of 3?" Danny blinked and we started again. We made it to 40 this time before he blinked. "HA! I knew it! I knew I could out stare you!!!" I placed my hands on his shoulders and gave him a couple of good squeezes. "Best four out of five?" He replied. "Naaaaaahhh. Just admit it, I can outstare you." "Ok, ok... I admit it... I can outstare you." "Fucker!" I laughed and let go of his shoulders. "That's me! So tell me, where are we going? Edmonton?" "Yeah... West Edmonton Mall. My parents promised Mikey they'd bring us to the waterpark before school started but they didn't get a chance. So we're going this weekend and are going to stay overnight at Fantasyland. I don't even want to go to the waterpark, I just want to go on the rides. You told your parents you're staying the weekend right?" "Yeah, I did. That's cool though, we'll have fun up there." "The three of us will have our own room. We got the truck room I think. So that'll be great, no parents." "Sweet!" My mom called us from the bottom of the stairs. I didn't even know they were up and about. "Boys! Let's get moving, we're already late." "Coming!" I answered. I blushed a little... ever since I started, you know, I've felt kind of strange answering calls like that. Twisted guilty mind. Danny seemed to notice me blush and quickly caught on. He started to giggle and I followed suit. "Come on." I said. "Let's get out of here." We picked up our bags and headed down the hallway. I grabbed one of my MP3 mix CD's to take with us before leaving my room. Mikey came tearing out of his room ahead of us, carrying his overnight bag and a backpack with him. No doubt full of movies and his Nintendo DS. We said good morning to my parents who were running around checking that the doors were locked. I took Danny's overnight bag from him and tossed it with mine in the back of the Montana. Mike was already inside in the middle left Captain's chair. I climbed in first and sat in the back left seat. Danny took the back right. I remembered my mix CD and crawled up front to pop the disk in the built in MP3 player. I got back in my seat and tugged gently on Mikey's ears. He turned around and giggled at me. "What movies did you bring?" I asked him. "Meet the Fockers, Deuce Bigalow, The Incredibles, Austin Powers 3 and Jaws." He replied. I looked at Danny. He just shrugged. "Meet the Fockers?" I asked Mikey. I know he loves that movie and if I put it on, it'll shut him up. "Arite. Here, put it in." What a lazy ass. The DVD thing is right over his head. He passed the disk back to me over the seat. I got up and popped it in the slot. I unclipped the remote from its storage point and sat back down beside Danny. I set the remote down in the cup holder to my left My parents finally came out of the house with their luggage. After loading all their shit in, my dad closed the trunk and climbed in. "Let's get out of here." My dad said, starting the car. He backed out of the driveway and away we went! Mikey was already flipping down the DVD screen. The great thing about doing this is that when the screen is flipped down, you can't really see the inside of the car in the rear view mirror. So you can like... make out... or something... and no one up front would ever know unless they turned right around. I pulled out my wireless headphones from the compartment on the back of Mikey's seat and passed them to Danny. "Cool!" He said. I opened the compartment in front of his seat and pulled out another set for myself. "Do you want to watch Meet the Fockers or listen to music for a bit first?" I asked Danny. "Music." He replied. I pushed some buttons on the remote and set our headphones to source from the front MP3 player. My parents had the news on up front and Mikey had already pulled out his Nintendo DS. What a shocker. Tea Party's "The Messenger" started playing in our headsets. I looked over at Danny and we bumped fists. For the first couple of songs, we mostly just looked out the window. We'd steal glances of each other every couple of minutes, usually with one of us making some retarded face. It always led to a fit of giggles. But all fun and games stop when AC/DC's Highway to Hell comes on. I immediately started tapping the drum beat on Mikey's head. The Nintendo DS was instantly tossed into the other seat like it was a Frisbee. He didn't even have to turn on his headphones to know what I was listening to. He knew this drum beat. But he pulled them on anyway so he could play along -- his specialty is the electric guitar. This is one of those Mikey and Matty moments. We always pretend we're part of the band when this song comes on. It gets really funny when Mikey starts to sing along with the lyrics. My mom looked back to see what was going on and couldn't hold back her laughter. My dad shook his head -- probably thinking about which planet we came from. Don't worry; they're used to our retardedness. Hey, at least we fun on our road trips! I looked over at Danny as Mikey belted the chorus. The look on his face was priceless. Eyes wide, jaw hanging down... it was so funny. But oh so cute. I winked at him and looked back to Mikey until the song finished. We high fived and went back to being completely normal from that second onward. I looked back at Danny, he was shaking his head in amazement. "You're nuts!" He laughed. I nodded in agreement, beaming with pride. "We always do that, it's kind of our thing." I explained. "But don't worry, we have a couple more performances in store as an encore presentation!" Danny just rolled his eyes. "Mikey..." I called. He bent his head back and looked at me upside down. "The Killers?" I asked, raising my eyebrows. He grinned and reached up on the radio panel overhead to scroll through the list of MP3's to find "All These Things That I've Done." I used the remote control as a microphone. Mikey started us off with the distant voice-over. When there's nowhere else to run Is there room for one more son One more son If you can hold on If you can hold on, hold on... I picked up with the drum playing for the short musical interlude before we both continued singing. Mikey jumped in with his invisible guitar. If you can hold on, hold on I wanna stand up, I wanna let go You know, you know - no you don't, you don't I wanna shine on in the hearts of men I want a meaning from the back of my broken hand Another head aches, another heart breaks I am so much older than I can take And my affection, well it comes and goes I need direction to perfection, no no no no Help me out Yeah, you know you got to help me out Yeah, oh don't you put me on the back burner You know you got to help me out ............................I soloed the next verse... And when there's nowhere else to run Is there room for one more son These changes ain't changing me The cold-hearted boy I used to be ............................Together again... Yeah, you know you got to help me out Yeah, oh don't you put me on the back burner You know you got to help me out Yeah, you're gonna bring yourself down Yeah, you're gonna bring yourself down Yeah, you're gonna bring yourself down ............................Mikey's turn... I cut in on the third repeat. I looked over at Danny and he was bobbing his head in tune with the music, tapping his foot. I got soul, but I'm not a soldier I got soul, but I'm not a soldier ... Yeah, you know you got to help me out Yeah, oh don't you put me on the back burner You know you got to help me out You're gonna bring yourself down You're gonna bring yourself down You're gonna bring yourself down Yeah, oh don't you put me on the back burner Yeah, you're gonna bring yourself down Over and in, last call for sin While everyone's lost, the battle is won With all these things that I've done All these things that I've done If you can hold on If you can hold on Even Danny started singing along towards the end. My mom clapped as we wound down. They had switched to the MP3 player from the news station and were listening along with our awful singing. My parents are cool that way, they can tolerate some of our music :). "Wow, that was your best one yet! You were off key as usual but actually remembered the words this time!" We all laughed hysterically at her teasing. Let's put it this way. Mike and I, as singers, suck. Big time. But when we sing along like this, knowing we suck, it makes it all the more fun. Some brothers don't get along. Others just don't get along on road trips. Mikey and I have never had that problem, we get along pretty well at home and don't fight that much. But we're practically best friends on road trips. We feed off each other's playful energy. And since my parents are pretty cool about letting us goof off to pass the time, we don't mind making complete fools of ourselves. "That was awesome Matty, we gotta do that one again on the way home." Mikey said. I returned his high five and nodded enthusiastically. I scanned back to the previous track so we could listen to the song again, this time without the Mike and Matt voice-overs. I put it on track repeat so I could listen to it a few times. It's such a good song, I love the way it sounds. Turning to Danny, I flashed him a goofy grin as if to say `don't mind me, I'm a fool'. He giggled and shook his head in response. I slipped out of my sandals and shifted sideways in my seat, facing Danny. I leaned my head back to rest against the seatbelt and lifted my legs up to rest on Danny's lap. I started tapping them in tune to the music and mouthed the words to the song. I stuck out my tongue at him during a short pause between verses and started bouncing my head from side to side a-la-Britney Spears. He grinned mischievously and pinned my ankles with his left arm. I knew what was coming, I started laughing and tried to pull away but he had me good. With his right hand, he lightly brushed the bottom of my feet with his fingers. I was laughing and squirming so hard that when my right foot slipped free, I accidentally kicked him in the stomach. He yelped and tightened his grip on my ankles. I'm dead now. I actually squirmed so much that I slid through the seatbelt to the floor between the two rows of seats. Danny was still holding onto my ankles but had stopped tickling me. I caught my breath and pulled my right leg with all my strength to free it from his firm grip. Success! Our tickle fest caused my shirt to ride up my chest, exposing my lower back and belly button. I tried to get up, but was pretty well suck. I had to unhook the seatbelt first, since I had become caught in it. Danny laughed and reached out to help me up. His soft hands wrapped around my bare midsection and sparks flew. We looked into each other's eyes and did it again. We made love for a moment. Without breaking eye contact, I started to lift myself up as best I could. Danny helped by pulling me and after a little silent struggling, I sat back in my seat. We stared at each other for an eternity. Occasionally we'd smile, but mostly we'd just lose ourselves in the other's eyes. As much as I wanted to make goo-goo eyes at Danny forever, I couldn't risk being caught. So I wiggled my eyebrows and blinked twice quickly. This was war, the battle to the death. Best five out of nine. A staring contest like no other. I won of course. We put the movie on and reclined the seats a little to watch Ben Stiller make a complete ass of himself for the second time. At some point past Red Deer, Mikey moved back to sit beside me and subsequently fell asleep on my shoulder. He's such a cool little brother. I put my arm around him and reached out for Danny, who looked ready to nod off himself. He leaned over and I pulled him to rest against Mikey. Soon I joined the pack and was out like a light resting on Mikey's head. The three of us slept through to Edmonton and it took a door slamming to wake us up. Actually, Mikey woke up first. Then he woke us up. We untangled ourselves and shuffled around to pile out of the van. It was pretty cool outside and I shivered as the cold air slammed through my thin jersey, the t-shirt underneath providing little warmth. My parents were digging out the backpack with the swim stuff so that they could go to the World's Waterpark with Mikey. "You don't want to go to the Waterpark right?" I asked Danny. "Not really." He replied. Woohoo! Finally some quality time alone with my hottie best friend. "Mom, Danny and I are going to go on ahead. We don't feel like swimming so we're going to Galaxyland. Where do you want us to meet back up?" She shrugged. "You have your cell phone with you?" "Yeah." I replied. "Ok, well, plan to leave Galaxyland at 6PM and we'll call you to tell you where we are. Then we'll come back, get our luggage and check into the hotel. From there we'll see what everyone wants to do for dinner." "Ok, that'll work. If Mike doesn't want to spend the whole time in the water, just call me and we'll come and get him." "Ok honey, do you need money?" "No, I'm good. See you guys later!" And with that, Danny and I walked towards the mall entrance. Our car was in Level 1 parking on the north-west side of the complex so we had a bit of a walk ahead of us. I had been to the mall before so I sort of remembered how to get places. Danny, having lived in Alberta forever, had been dozens of times so I let him lead the way. The nice thing about West Ed Mall is that there's so much to do. It's not just a building crammed with 800 stores (heh, most of which are boarded up it seems). So when we immediately came upon Professor Wem's Adventure Golf, it didn't take much more than a glance and a raised eyebrow for us to make a quick detour. We totally goofed off. Like, we made up our own rules (the Danny and Matty rulebook of anything goes) and just made complete asses out of ourselves. I did legitimately try to play well, really. And if Danny was also, well... then he totally sucks. Cause I won, and I'm only an imitation golfer. "How can your aim suck that much? You had to have been fucking up on purpose. I mean, no one can make the ball go sideways like that without doing it deliberately." I said. "Haha, I let you win." He replied. "Whatever!" I laughed. "Give me a challenge! Make me do something that would take all my courage and skill in order to master it." I was hinting at something... a little naughty. I looked over and saw Danny blush. He must have been thinking what I was thinking. And if you blushed too, shame on you for being a total pervert! (I'm secretly proud of you but don't let yourself in on that little secret) I nudged his elbow and we made eye contact for a second. But he quickly shifted his gaze towards the Deep Sea Adventure tank. You know, the one with the submarines, pirate ship and the small dolphin tank. The dolphin tank was still under renovation so there were none around. "You know, this place really is a dump." I said. Danny looked at me curiously. So I elaborated. "I mean, it's cool that it has 800 stores and all these rides and attractions, but what fun is it if half the stores are closed, and none of the attractions work? No dolphins... only 1 working submarine, 80's era mirrors all over the place... they really need to do a better job of keeping this place up to date." Danny giggled. "You're such an ass sometimes, you know that?" He said to me. I shot him a menacing look, but broke into a sheepish grin right after. I love teasing him. "I'm kidding!" I said. "Well, no, it really does suck that a lot of the stuff is not working and I really HATE the 80's mirrors, but whatever, as long as I get what I'm after I'm happy." I blushed at my double meaning. I confess, I want Danny and I want to ride the Mindbender. Last time it was broken too. "Would customer Snelma Boxers please come to the desk services counter on Level 2 for a message please." Crackled out of the PA system. I started to giggle. "Dude, did she just say `Would smell my boxers please go to desk services on Level 2???" I asked Danny. "I think she said Selma Hawkster and it was guest services." He replied, giggling at my stupidity. "Oh, ok... good... cause I sure wouldn't smell her boxers. That would be pretty fucked up... a chick wearing boxers." I said. "Smell mine then." He replied. Smartass. "Maybe later." He bumped my shoulder and we laughed. My stomach growled as we passed Bourbon Street. I glanced at the Hooters `outdoor' patio as we walked by. "Are you hungry or anything?" I asked. "Not really." "What the fuck Danny, we skipped breakfast and you're still not hungry? I'm starving but I want to go on Mindbender before I eat..." "Well maybe a bit but I don't feel like eating now. Not if we're going to go on rides." "Ok well... we'll go on Mindbender once and then we'll get something to eat, okay? We'll get Chicken McNuggets or something at the Mc Dick's across from the rides." "Mkay." I bumped his shoulder. He bumped me back. And we walked along bumping each other, giggling like 10 year olds. Yup, we're the most mature 16 year olds out there, without a doubt! Some people were figure skating at the Ice Palace. It's basically a standard hockey rink in the dead center of the mall where you can go and skate. Sometimes it's reserved for professionals to practice skating and stuff, like today. We stopped to watch a duo run through their routine, making the odd mistake or two. But mostly they were pretty good. I'm just not into figure skating enough to really appreciate it. Neither was Danny, so we moved on. "Next time I'm bringing skates." He said. "And sticks." I replied. Obviously I meant hockey sticks. "And a puck." "What puck, tennis ball!" I replied. He gave me that oh so cute curious look again, but this one was laced with a hint of `what the fuck are you talking about doofus?' "For floor hockey..." I explained. He looked back at the ice rink, then at me again. I started to giggle. "I'm kidding! I know... there's ice... so a puck. You should have seen your face, you have this look..." I got nervous and looked forward again as we continued walking. "It uhh, it's just kind of priceless when you do that look. I mean, when I do something retarded and you do it." There. That made total complete sense. Great work Matty! Danny giggled and play pounded my shoulder, shaking his head. I got us day passes to Galaxy Land (which are these, uhm, `joyous' hot pink wrist bands) and we headed over to the Mindbender roller coaster. Galaxyland is really more kid oriented because they have a lot of baby rides. But there are a couple of cool ones, like the Mindbender, the Pendulum and the Space Shot. Mikey and I ride the Pendulum all the time. It's basically this ship that rocks back and forth until it eventually goes upside down and you hang there for a few turns. It's not a very popular ride for some reason, so we usually just stay on for a half dozen or so turns. It' s funny because when we're up there, hanging upside down, we just carry on a normal conversation as if we aren't hanging by our shoulders 100 feet in the air. There were about 20 people waiting in line for the Mindbender so I scoped out the guys while we waited. There was a cute guy, maybe 15, 5'8, with light brown hair and blonde highlights standing two people ahead of us. Every once in a while he would turn to look back over the crowd like he was looking for someone, and I got a great view of the front of his profile as he did so. He was so hot! But no Danny. The line slowly moved forward and after a 15 minute wait, we hopped in one of the blue cars. I pulled off my glasses and stuck them in one of the pockets in my cargo's. The cars are pretty small so we were pretty well squished together. I could tell Danny was nervous. I bumped my leg against his to let him know I was here. He smiled a nervous smile. The ride operator came to secure our massive shoulder harnesses, and we were off! I'm fine until we start moving. Now I was nervous. The first climb is always the worst, because the first plunge is a spiraling dive to the bottom of the structure and it feels like you're going straight down. You hit something like 80km/hr on that first plunge. When we were half way up the initial climb, I grabbed Danny's hand underneath the harness and squeezed tightly. He squeezed back even tighter. And then it came. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!" Down we went. Your heart jumps in your throat for a second before you get over the fear of flying straight down. But then you start to enjoy the awesome G-Forces. I shoved my head back against the headrest as hard as I could and looked up, trying to NOT look frightened for the pictures that get taken during the double loops. Just as quickly as it starts, it's over. Danny and I were still holding hands. We reluctantly let our hands slip apart as the operator came to release our harnesses. My legs are always a little numb after this coaster ride. We made our way over to the exit booth where they show the pictures they've taken of. We looked retarded. I have this big smile on my face and Danny just looks blank. It was priceless, so I bought 2 copies for us. After we headed back upstairs to the main park floor, I bumped Danny's shoulder lightly. "Well that was intense huh?" He nodded vigorously. "Yeah, definitely intense. Once the blood drains out of my feet and back into my brain, I think I'll be ready to go again." "Sweet! Do you want to grab some lunch now or go on another ride or what?" I asked, fishing my glasses out of my pocket. "We might as well go eat. I'm a bit hungry now and I can hear your stomach growling from a mile away!" I just laughed. We headed towards the mall exit to grab some lunch at Mc Dick's across from Galaxyland. We ordered a couple of McNugett meals and sat down at a table nestled in a far corner near the mall. Danny got an Orange Crush and I got a Root Beer to drink. What's funny is that about half way through the meal, I was drinking the Orange Crush and he was drinking the Root Beer. "We should probably lay off the rougher rides for a little while after we eat. So how about doing the bumper cars and maybe checking out the arcade for a little while?" I asked. "Sounds good to me. We can check out the rock climbing thing too, it looks kind of cool." "Oh yeah, I forgot about that one. That's definitely one we need to do. Then later we can do the Space Shot, the Pendulum, Mindbender, and maybe the Galaxy Twister?" The Galaxy Twister is this wild ride where the whole row of seats gets tossed and tumbled all over, and free spins with gravity. I've been on it before and I'd say it's more of a rush than the Mindbender, but kind of scary at the same time. Danny hummed in agreement. I dipped a nugget in the sweet'n sour sauce and took a bite. I could feel some of the sauce drip onto my lower lip. I stuck out my tongue and slowly, playfully, licked it up. Danny giggled. I looked around quickly to make sure no one was paying any attention to us and flicked a tiny piece of french fry at him. He tossed his napkin in retaliation. We had a good giggle and then threw out our food wrappers. Back in Galaxyland, we decided to check out the Arcade first. Most of the games sucked and were totally rigged so that you'd lose. Danny tried this water shooting thing, where you aim the water spray at a hole fill a glass and totally kicked ass! He was on a huge roll and won about 150 tickets. I won about 10 so together we had 160 to cash in. The prizes weren't great, but we ended up with a multi-colored Frisbee that I intended to give to Mikey. With our newly acquired toy, we headed over to `Cosmo's Space Derby' -- the brilliant name they use to deface the holiest amusement park game ever invented. Bumper cars. There was no lineup and we were able to grab a couple of cars to join the other 3 or 4 people on the track. The power came on and I shot forward towards Danny's car. We crashed head on. Someone hit me from the side and sent my car sprawling against the center pillar. Another car boxed me in from behind and I was sort of stuck. The car behind me finally got out of the way and I was able to get back in the action. Danny was ramming another car behind me so I spun around and hit him from the side. Danny grinned mischievously and I knew I was his next target. I spun the wheel and tried to get out of the way but he pushed me into the center pillar. This went on and on for a few more minutes before the ride stopped and we had to get off. "Fun, fun, fun." Danny said. "You up for the Space Shot next?" I asked. The Space Shot is sort of like the Drop of Doom except that it keeps shooting you back up after you come crashing back to the ground. "Yeah, let's head over that way." We passed the Mindbender on the way and stopped to watch it make another pass through the double loops. There weren't many people in line, only a couple actually. "We should come back here after the Space Shot." I said to Danny. He nodded and we continued walking. There was no lineup and the ride started shortly after we sat down. We stayed on for a couple of consecutive turns, just enjoying the view of the park from high above the floor. Well, for the couple of seconds you're up there anyway. My phone started to vibrate walking back to the Mindbender. I answered it and it was Mikey. "Hey Mattey, can you come and get me?" "You've only been there an hour and half though. I thought you wanted to spend all day there?" I asked. I didn't mind having Mikey hang out with us, I just figured he'd want to spend his time in the water. "Yeah but there are too many people right now, you can barely move. I'll go back later on." "Ok, we'll head over there now so we'll probably see you in about 15 minutes." "Ok, thanks Matty!" I hung up and put my phone away. "Mikey wants to come and hang out with us." I said to Danny. "That's cool, are we meeting him now?" He asked. "Yeah, so let's head over there and the three of us can go on the Pendulum or something." "Cool". And with that, we walked out of Galaxyland to pick up Mikey.
