Good thing I have a break on its way, or I'd be dead by now. :P I hope you guys continue to enjoy this! I have a bit of a plan where I want this story to go, and it will get dark. I don't know when. But I'll warn at the beginning of that chapter. Anyways, please email me if you enjoy this! And don't forget to donate to Nifty! They da bomb.com Chapter 3 It's Monday. I hate Mondays. Whoever decided Monday should be a thing, needs to be removed from history. After a great weekend just hanging out with Chase, it's time to get back into school mode. "Luke! Are you up sweetie?" "Yeah mom! I'm coming downstairs now." "Good morning! Vivian needs me to come in early to open breakfast, so I'll see you very soon sweetie!" "OK mom. See you later." Vivian is like the manager of the school cafeteria. She's really nice. My mom is basically the assistant manager, only without the title, or pay. She does just as much, if not more, than all the other workers combined. I'm really glad she's my mom. She is a wonderful role model! "See you later sweetie!" I made a quick breakfast of my favorite cereal, Lucky Charms. They remind me of Chase, in a way. He's like a good luck charm for me. And also, Lucky Charms are just delicious. Like Chase probably is. DAMNIT! I need to stop thinking of him in that way. He's my friend. My awesome friend. He knows me so well. He doesn't know everything, obviously. But he knows a lot. And I'm grateful for what I do have with him. DING DONG. That's strange. No one usually comes by this early. I go look out the window by the door. My heart stops. It's him. My face immediately brightens. "Hey bud!" "Hey Chase! What are you doing here? I usually meet you at your house." "I just thought I would meet you here instead. I mean, your house is closer to school than mine. Why haven't we just met up here instead? Wouldn't that be easier on you?" Aww. He's so sweet. Look at those blue eyes. You can get lost in those eyes. They're so... mystical. And that hair. Always perfect. I know he wakes up with his hair like that. It's always dang perfect. And those lips. They look so soft, and pink. And kissable. "Luke!" "...huh. Wha-?" "You ok?" "Yeah. Jus...... Distracted." "Oh. Everything OK?" "Yeah. Everything is perfect." Just like you. UGHGGHGHG Lucas! Stop!!!! He isn't yours. He will never be yours. I look up a bit to see what Chase is doing. He's still chattering away. I love him. "I need to go get dressed. And make myself presentable for humankind. I'll be back." "I'll be waiting." I head off towards my room. As soon as I grab some clothes for a shower, I head to the bathroom. As soon as the door is shut, I begin to cry. I don't know how long I can keep doing this. Going day after day, loving someone who can't be mine. Knowing that without me, they'd be so much better off. Knowing that I don't deserve him. He's too... Perfect. He's too perfect for me. It's good that I held my tears in for now. The water from the shower will make it look like my eyes are wet from the shower. After doing my toilet routine, I head back to my room to find Chase on my bed, looking through one of my birthday gifts from a few years ago, it's a picture album of him and me. After spending a long time on getting a lot of photos of us together, he gave it to me, and left room for more later on. I've added a few since he's given it to me. I sneak up behind him and look over his shoulder to see what picture he's on. It's of us, when we were around 10. The picture was of us holding ice creams. Our parents had met at the park that day, and had bought us ice creams. Chase, being his hyper self, was jumping around and goofing off. Eventually, he dropped his, and started crying. I rushed to his side and immediately gave him my own ice cream. He asked: "Why are you giving me yours?" "Because that's something you do for people you love." After a bit, I decided that the trip down memory lane had gone on long enough, and plopped myself down on the bed. He jumped a little, and chuckled to himself. I asked: "Whatcha doin?" Chuckles "Just looking through some pictures. Are you ready?" "Yeah! Let's go." He turns around and sees my face. His face darkens a bit, but it's only barely noticeable. I think I might be the only one that could really notice the change. He immediately goes back to being his chipper self. "Let's go!" I grab my bag and we head out. As we walk, we chat away about some plans for the weekend. Chase has a game Friday night, the first of the season. I'll be there, as usual. He wants me to come over to his house and hang out for the entire weekend. Sounds like an exciting adventure. ------Later that day------ We just sat down at the table in the cafeteria, when along comes a... Girl. Immediately, she starts chatting up my Chase. She's eying him up and down like she's ready to devour him. I can feel the heat rising in my face. Gahhhh By now, I've eaten the food that I grabbed from the cafeteria. I decide that I don't feel like being here right now, and grab my tray. I glance at Chase and see that he's completely wrapped up in princess boobs. I head back to the music room. Might as well practice a bit before lunch ends. Mrs. Newton waves at me as I walk by. As I get to the piano, I pull out the pieces that we're doing in orchestra. I begin practicing and slowly lose myself in the music. ----Later that day---- School has just ended. After arriving back in class for third period, Chase walked in and gave me a concerned look. I just smiled and waved. The day continued as usual. English and Biology went along as usual. Mr. Hill picked on the future dropouts. I smirked while he did so. Chase has practice today. That means I do too. As a musician, I know how important each minute of my time is. I know that it is extremely important to practice as much as I can. So, while Chase actually works his butt off, I'm going to go finish these two sections of orchestra music. It's coming along great. I've practiced each section enough to have them memorized. By the time Chase is finished, I think I have the sections pieced together, and perfect. Tomorrow, I'll move onto the next section. I glance up and see Chase walking in the room. He looks like he's just showered. He didn't do a good job of drying off though, so his clothes are sticking to his body a bit. It's obviously nice to look at. "So. Why did you leave lunch early? Without telling me anything?" I notice the frown on his face. I want to make it go away. I hurt him. I can tell. I shouldn't have been so jealous of that cow. "I just. Uhhhh... I didn't feel like I did that well during orchestra today. So, I came here and practiced for a while." He looks at me. He looks directly into my eyes. He knows somethings up. "I won't push you to tell me the truth for now. You've already promised to tell me one day. And I'll wait. I'll wait forever if I have to." I mumble out "It might be forever." "I'll still be there." I smile a bit. I look up at his face. He's smiling a bit more now. But I can still see a storm in his eyes. We begin our journey towards my home. As we walk, we continue our plans for this weekend. He is super excited about his game. I've never been into sports. But if my Chase is playing, I'm into it. Not because I can see his butt really well in his football uniform. But... Because... Well, the most perfect human ever created is out there. Giving it his all. We arrive at my house. Mom greets us both with a kiss on the cheek. We head on towards my room and begin our homework. By now, the teachers have gotten over the break, and have begun our homeworks. The assignments take us a few hours. Of course, we also chatted quite a bit about random things. I helped Chase with his assignments as well. I didn't give him the answers. But I did give hints. He seems to be grasping the information well. After our homework is finished, we decide to go grab a snack and play video games. We're playing a fighting game against each other. We're both pretty good at it. But... He sucks at dodging, and doesn't seem to understand how a shield works. So, I use that to my advantage. He starts pouting, the closer he gets to dying. My heart breaks only a smidgen, before I deliver the final blow. He starts yelling like a three year old. He's not even using real words. I'm laughing my ass off at him. He's so funny. I know that the yelling is just for show. He looks at my laughing butt and starts to nudge me with his foot. "Hey! No fair! You didn't even give me a chance!" "I mean, I can't help you don't know how to use your defense. You'd think a sportsman would know how those work. Oh wait. You're the quarterback. You only have to worry about offense." He yells a bit more like a toddler, and starts throwing pillows at me. This goes on for a while. After he grows up, we turn the game off and begin chatting some more. BZZZ! BZZZ! BZZZ! He checks his phone. He gets that look in his eyes. The one that he saves for the girls. I know where this is going. I grab a book and head to my bed. I'm not interested in being a third wheel right now. So, I lose myself in a book for a while. "I gotta go dude. The ladies call." As I get up, I roll my eyes. I walk him to the door. "Bye bud! I'll see you tomorrow!" "See ya." As I head back to my room, I get a bit depressed. Why don't I just tell him? Wouldn't that be better than fooling myself every day? Wouldn't it be better for him? He'd probably get angry. And then leave. And he'd be better off without me. Not having me drag him down would probably be such a burden lifted from his arms. Why couldn't I just like girls? Why couldn't I be normal? Why couldn't I be made the way he would like for me to be? Thanks for reading! As usual, my email is sammcma@yahoo.com Send me an email! Tell me what you think!
