As I had done with my first college story, Dan, the Man, I wanted to give my first high school story, Collision, a makeover. This is the second version of this story. Thanks to all whom have responded . I really appreciate the feedback. This is a work of fiction.  Any similarities to real life is coincidental.  Copyright 2000, 2007.

As usual, if you are under 21 or 18 (whichever applies in your area), don't read on.  If anything associated to cocksucking repulses you, don't read on.  For the rest of you, however, join Ryan, Brett, Eric, and the gang one more time as I proudly re-present, "Collision"!

Collision, Part II
"The Last of the Straight Front"
By Joey E

I got to the pathetic (in comparison to the stadium at my old high school) stadium just as kick off had started. I didn't know anyone, so I basically sat alone behind the marching band section. I had thought about joining the marching band, but being that it only had sixty members in it, and was highly competitive and took a lot of time (more time than I was willing to spend). So, I observed the band more than I did the game. The other team had the ball first, and I wasn't too interested. However, I knew what number to look out for "42" and saw him come out to play a little while later.

I cheered him on, throughout the game, seeing him throw pass after pass.  For someone who didn't know all that much about football, he lookedood. He looked up at the stands several times while he wasn't playing, scanning the faces of all the people. It wasn't a heavy crowd tonight, but it wasn't empty either.

Amazingly, the night went by fast. Our high school team won, 42-14. I was impressed at the team as well as Brett's performance. Of course, I think I could've been impressed by whatever Brett did by this point. We had agreed to meet by the student lot when the game was over. I waited and waited and waited. But finally, I saw him, and a few of his teammates coming over to the lot. I'm sure I had a big smile on my face, and he did too.

"Hey Ryan!" he yelled, running over to me, celebrating. He ran up to me, and we high-fived. The next thing he did threw me totally off guard. He wrapped his arms around me and lifted me up. "We won!"

All I could do was laugh.  I couldn't believe that he actually picked me up in front of his friends and all.  He set me down again, but didn't let go of me. It felt so good to be in his arms. I couldn't describe the warmth, the security, and the good feeling it gave me. To my disappointment, he finally did let go. He looked down and smiled at me.

"Did you see my plays, bud?" he asked, excitedly.

"Yes," I said, smiling. "They were great."

"We beat the hardest team in our division," he said, turning around, as the guys caught up with him.

"Hey B," one of the teammates said. "We're going over to Jay's house to party. Do you want to come?"

"Sure, as long as you don't mind this little runt goin' along either," Brett answered, putting his hand on my shoulder.

"Hell, the more the merrier!" the other dude said.

Now, I had my reservations about going to a jock party where I only knew one person.  What the hell was I going to do there?  I looked up at Brett.

"Come on, man, it'll be fun," Brett said, grinning with a gleam in his eye.

I looked at him for a few seconds. I couldn't help breaking into a grin. "All right, I'll go," I said.

"Great place to meet chicks," said one of the guys.

Oh yeah, great.  Just what I needed.  Chicks.

We had a full load on the way over. Of all the guys that were in Brett's car, besides Brett, I was most interested in Trevor. Trevor was a blonde kid, blue eyed, twink. He was as old as us, but he looked about 16, extreme baby face. I was sitting next to him in the back seat of Brett's car. Mainly because I had missed out the call for shotgun. A kid named Eric was in the front seat, and Colin was on the other side of me.

"Hey, maybe you'll see that chick Sara again," Eric said. "Man she was hot!"

"Shut up, Neumann!" Brett said with an edge to his voice.

"What?" Trevor said. "Come on, she was the hottest chick there, man. You should at least be proud!"

"Yeah," the big guy Eric Neumann said. He turned around to look directly at me and said, "The new girl in school and this one gets her at the first party of the school year!"

Brett just shook his head. I was feeling a little jealous. I tried making eye contact with him in his rear-view mirror, but it wasn't working. He was purposely avoiding it.

We arrived at Jay's house and we all hopped out. I was the last one out of the truck, and Brett waited for me as the other guys went before us.

"Come on, man, it'll be fun! Smile!" Brett said, laughing.

I smiled. "I just don't know anyone here."

"Don't worry, by the end of tonight, you'll be knowing everybody here."

"And wishing you didn't," added the big guy named Eric.

Brett opened the front door for me and I walked into what I thought was the living room. It didn't look much like a party was going on. There was a lot of bass coming from the basement though. I looked around the room as Brett passed me.

"Come on, Ry, the party's downstairs," he said, leading me into the basement.

It certainly was. It was a huge basement, and there were about at least 15 people down there. I recognized some of the faces from my classes and surprisingly some of them said hi to me. There were an equal amount of girls there were guys. Almost immediately, there was a girl talking to me.

"Hi," she said.

She wasn't bad. If I were straight, I would've definitely done her. She was about 5'4", dirty blonde long hair, nice chest, nice ass, nice petite body! But, alas, she did nothing for me.

"Hey," I answered.

"You're in my Human Anatomy class aren't you?" she asked.

"Oh yeah!! That's where I know you from, how are you?" I asked her, smiling.

"Pretty good."

We made some good small talk for a while. I hadn't even thought about Brett during the time we were talking. I was telling her about where I used to live, and what a drag South Jersey was.

(In the other part of the basement, told in third-person)

"Damn, Brett," Jay, the party's host said to Brett.

"What?" Brett asked, taking a sip from his coke.

"That dude you brought here, what's his name?"

Brett smiled and said, "Ryan."

"Yeah, well, he's quite the stud dude. He seems to be talking to Sara. Man, she is hot!"

"What?" Brett asked, looking over to the area where Jay was looking.

"Damn," Brett said, softly.

"What?" Jay asked. "Jealous?"

"You could say that," he said.

Jay laughed as Brett walked away toward Ryan.

"Oh, hey, Brett!" Sara said, looking up from Ryan.

"Hey Sara," Brett said, nodding at Ry.

All three of them talked, but Brett really didn't want to stand in Ry's way, so he let them be.

Damn, thought Ry as Brett walked away. I guess he isn't as interested as I though he was. Ryan went back to flirting with Sara, knowing this would at least impress the other guys at the party if he could get away with it.

Meanwhile, Brett was getting sick of hearing about how this new kid Ryan was talking to Sara. Little did Ryan know that Sara and Brett used to be somewhat an item. But Brett didn't want to spoil the fun for Ryan.

Ryan was handed a beer by Trevor who was passing by sometime in the night, and had drank it while talking with Sara. He had never really drank alcohol before, and was soon feeling the effects of it. He moved closer to Sara on the couch that they were sitting on. As they were talking, they looked into each other's eyes. Brett occasionally looked over at them, making eyes at each other, and laughing together. He would turn away and feel worse.

(Back to Ryan).

Well, I figured since he was obviously straight, I thought I'd have a little fun in my life. I made a goal to hook up with Sara, even though that's not what I wanted. We seemed to have a lot in common. And by this point, I was drunk, which made it even more goofy. Sara was buzzed and we had good laughs together almost over nothing. Finally the laughter stopped, and we just stared at each other. I leaned in first, closing my eyes, almost as a reflex, and felt two lips on mine. I opened them immediately, and saw her eyes were closed. I put my arms around her, and we kissed passionately. I heard someone walk next to us, but I didn't care. When we finally came up for air, we opened our eyes. I noticed that some of Brett's teammates were looking at us, as were some of Sara's friends. I felt like a king.

Just then, Jay came up to me. "Brett wants to see you outside, man."

"What?" I asked, trying to focus on him.

"Brett wants to see you," he repeated.

One of Sara's friends came over while I was talking to Jay. By the look on Sara's face, I knew she was pleading to stay longer.

"Ry, I gotta go. My friend wants to leave, and I rode with her," she said, looking into my eyes.

"Oh," I said, sounding disappointed. Which I was, I thought. "Well, okay, I'll walk you out."

We walked up the stairs and out the front door, holding hands.

"So, call me tomorrow?" she turned and asked me on the front steps. I saw Brett on the side of the lawn in the driveway, leaning against the car and smoking. He was staring directly at us.

"Sure, Sara," I said, leaning in to kiss her good night. And what a kiss it was, considering she was a female. After that, she was off.

I walked over to Brett, looking hotter than ever to me. He didn't look happy, more like something was bothering him.

"Man, that was some might fine chick!" I said, happy that I hooked up with a hot chick.

Brett just stared at me. I stopped smiling.

"Are you drunk?" He asked, with that edge in his voice again.

"Only had one," I slurred.

"You are drunk!" he exclaimed.

I stared at him, I couldn't help myself. I was checking him out, running my eyes up his bare legs up to his shorts all the way up to his face.

"Ryan, what are you doing?" he asked, apparently following where my eyes had been on his body.

I panicked. "Nothin'," I said, rather loudly and quickly. "Why?"

He just shook his head and said, "Never mind, bud."

There was something wrong here. If he were straight, he would've been congratulating me on hooking up with some chick. If he were gay he would be jealous and maybe hurt. I know from experience.

"Brett, what are you talking about? Why are you acting like this?"

"I don't know, man," he said loudly, turning away from me.

I don't know what made me do what I did next, but I grabbed his shoulder and forced him to turn around and look at me.

"Did I do anything wrong?" I asked, wondering if I did.

"No, Ry. It's my own damn fault. I'll get over it," he said, softly, looking away again.

"Damnit Brett. Fine," I said, leaving him and going back into the house. I went back downstairs and was greeted by half the football team with smiles.

"And there's the stud of the evening!" exclaimed Trevor, giving me a high-five. I could help smiling.

"She really liked you man," Jay said. She may be a fine woman, but she sure is picky about her guys. She's all nice and all to all over us, but the only one who has ever hooked up with her was your friend Brett."

"Oh, really?" I asked, wondering now if that was what Brett was upset about.

Shortly, Brett appeared in the basement again.

"Yo, Ry I'm leaving, do you want to ride with me?"

Whatever feelings he was had seemed to have subsided because he looked like his usual self now.

"Uh, yeah, I will," I said, hoping to talk to him before the night was over.

"Cool, come on!" he said, running back up the steps. I said good night and followed him up.

"So Brett, want to tell me what's bothering you?" I asked, finally, as we were riding back in silence.

"Nah, I don't think you would understand," he said.

"Why don't you?" I asked, curious to what made him think that I wouldn't.

"What you just did tonight proved to me that you wouldn't understand," he said.

I looked over at him. He was purposely not making eye contact with me. His eyes were intently on the road and his hands were gripping the steering wheel tight.

"All right," I said, resigning. If he didn't want to talk about what was wrong, I wasn't going to force it out of him.

We rode in silence for about a minute when he suddenly pulled over.

"What the fuck?" I muttered, looking at him.

He put the vehicle into park and let out a big sigh.

"Brett, man, please tell me what's on your mind?" I said softly.

"I can't," he said slowly.

"Why can't you?"

"Because I don't want to believe it myself," he said, looking away.

All signs were pointing to go and I was still drunk. I still felt like I could conquer anything I wanted. I knew I was taking a risk, but something told me it was okay.

"Brett," I said. He looked over at me again. "Shut up and kiss me."

Brett's eyes widened. "WHAT?" he yelled. "What the fuck?"

I grabbed the back of his head, and pushed my lips onto his. He seemed to be resisting it, but soon after, I let go of the back of his head, and his lips parted. Soon, his hand was on the back of my head, and we kissed for about a minute straight.

I pulled away, frightened that he would hit me or kill me. I looked ahead and couldn't look at him.

"Ryan," Brett said, softly. I knew he was still looking at me.

"Ryan," he said louder.

"Yes?" I asked, still looking straight ahead.

"Are you gay?"

It was my turn to unleash all the heartbreaks I had, all the boys in school that I wanted over the years, the insecurities it caused, the uncertainty. I looked over at him to see his expression. I saw confusion, but as crazy as this sounds, I also saw love in his eye. I had never felt like this about anyone before. Before I knew it, Brett pulled me into a hug, which was not very easy to do with a gear shifter and center console in the way.

"I don't know," I finally said. "Are you?"

"I don't know either," he said.

"But, I know I like you, a lot."

"Yeah, I do too, Ry. I never felt anything so strong before."

I looked up at him and smiled.

"Damn," I said.

"I know," Brett answered.

"So that's why you were so upset tonight?" I asked.

"Uh huh," He said looking forward again.

"I'm sorry," I said in a low voice. "I also heard that you were the only one to hook up with her. I didn't know."

"That's okay, man. We're good friends now. It didn't work out," he said, stroking my hair.

I smiled up at him.

"What?" he asked, smiling back at me.

"Did anyone tell you you were cute?" I asked. I couldn't believe what I was saying.

"Yeah, but hearing it from you, makes it so much better," He said.

Damn he was good. He knew all the lines.

"Well, I hate to break this up, but I'm gonna need to be home in five minutes," I said, noticing the time on his clock on his dashboard.

"Shit, yeah, we gotta get you home," he said, starting up the car again.

"Oh, wait, man! My car's still at school," I said.

"Are you okay to drive?" he asked.

"I think so. I only had one beer. It's been an hour since I had the last sip."

"Good," he said.

We pulled into the parking lot and my car was there alone. We just looked at each other for a second. I didn't feel right there. I had to get out of there.

"So, you'll call me tomorrow?" he asked me.

"Yeah sure, I will," I said, looking at him. I then reached for the door handle and got out..

The next morning I woke up with an uneasy feeling. What if Brett tells the school about me? I couldn't deal with that. What if anyone found out about me? I couldn't deal with that. I just couldn't deal with it. I thought to myself I have this beautiful babe that I could actually be a normal guy. Who would turn that down? The football team thought I was the MAN! I mean, what could be better than that?

I called Sara up, and arranged to make a date with her that night, which was Saturday night. I didn't feel comfortable talking with Brett. I just was avoiding the whole thing. I wanted to so put last night out of my mind. I knew it wasn't right. I was drunk, that's it, I was drunk.

Finally, the phone rang at around 3PM, and I picked it up.

"Yo, Ryan."

Uh oh, it was Brett.

"Yeah, Brett, what's up?" I asked, sitting down.

"What are you up to tonight?" he asked.

"Well, actually I have plans already," I said, trying to avoid telling him who they were with.

"Oh?" Brett asked. There was silence.

"Okay," he finally said. "Cool. Anyone I know?"

I could lie to him, but he'd find out eventually. But it seemed to be the best thing to do then.

"Nah, just an old friend from my old high school," I answered, quickly. "I gotta go, man, he's gonna be here in a few minutes."

"Well, okay, call me later, Ryan, please," he said.

"Okay," I said, quickly. "I'll see you later."

God! What have I done? I asked as I hung up the phone.

The evening came by, I picked up Sara at her house, met her parents, and we were off to go see a movie. The movie wasn't anything special, but we did end up holding hands halfway through. As we were leaving the movie theater, we held hands out to the car.

It was a great night out. Sara and I had fun, talking about pop music, the movie, classes, our old friends. Then as we left the mall to go out to the car.....

"Ryan," I heard a familiar voice yell out.

"Oh, shit," I said, under my breath.

That concludes the second part of Collision. Please send any comments to NEPhillyBoy76@aol.com Thanks!
