Actually it was just sitting around in my computer. I was just to lazy to edit it. Anyway, hope you like this one. I still don't know how this would end but I'm sure you do. Any thoughts, comments, criticisms (and lengthy bithcin') are truly welcome. And for those of you who would like to know where I get this writing stuff, well, it comes from my heart. Cheesy, I know. But I guess when you suddenly realize you love a person even though he's totally out of reach, you're bound to be poetic. But I ain't no poet. I write cheesy and I talk mushy. There, I'm a macaroni. Wait. Before you go on, I promised last chapter that I would say all the people who sent me the emails I've been recieving lately. (fans?) Well, here they are: Dustin W. Tsmjr27 KC Kip Parker Chad P. Richard Rex Bobby Michaels thanks to you all! Disclaimer: Look if you're under 18 then you shouldn't be here. Unless your persistent then there's no point in warning you, is there? Anyway, persons, places and such are purely fictional. So don't go sending me lawyers, k? Come Rain Don't Shine Chapter 3: blah balh blah... "I am the pontentate ruler of all. Bow before me woman," I said in a mocking grace. I am really hyper today. Wonder why. "Yeah, and I'm Xena the hairy bitch," She looked at me and then sighed. "Look, let's cut the crap. I'm here for an important reconnaissance mission," she glared at me. "Ohhh. Sounds exciting. Sounds mysteriuos. Sounds pernicious. Does it include my imperative presence?" I said with my eyebrows shooting into orbit. "Unfortunately, yes. It's about my homework." Then it quickly came back. "Oh, sure. Let me do all the mundane stuff while you take over Pleasentville. I never have fun," I said as laying my puppy dog eyes on the table. "I have tons of homework dorky! Bloodsucking teachers took my whole weekend. And I'm going to be stuck with Derek as partner on my Science project. The least you could do is ease my suffering. Here, take these," She handed me a couple of her reports. "Can you at least finish it until tomorrow? You know your the most intelligent life form in the planet. Your the only one I could count on. Please? Don't make me beg. Oh, please your intergallactic highness?" I hate it when I'm the one that she always run to every time she has workloads of homework. Who am I, Obi-wan-kanobi? I forced myself not to exude noxious gas out of my ear and release my art of pyrothechnic displays through my mouth. But as always, I utter complete submisiveness. "Okay, okay. But about Derek. Are you sure its a good idea to be with him? I mean it is the whole weekend. Are you sure you're fine with him? "Yeah, I really am. I mean I can't change the fact that he's with Maya and it's over between us. I think he's much happier now. And well, I think I'm happy now too. And I talked to him about it. We agreed we could no more be than friends. So I'm just being friendly." "You know girl, I'm proud of you," I said hugging her head on my shoulder. It seems just like yesterday since I moved here at this school. And now three months have past, I already know everything about this place. The baroque lifestyle of most of the students, the insidious teachers roaming around campus like lion tamers guarding anyone who takes a vacation trip on nearby exits to school grounds during class hours and the usual 'I don't care about you, you don't care about me' philosophy that seems to fill the heads of people around here. And now, I'm sitting in the grass with Cathlyn. We decided to spend some serene time here because she complains every second about how she's being maltreated by her parents, teachers and her piggy bank, mostly about her piggy bank. Well, I'm pretty sure she's not. I mean her parents give her almost everything and it's not like she has a kaput family. I've already met them and they are nice individuals. She's just angry at them because they told her to stop her extravagance. Well, she's sumptuous alright and tells me how she can't live with only six pairs of shoes. Six pairs?! She could have kicked Bill Gates' ass with those shoes and still feel numb. I just don't think Bill Gates's brain, I mean ass will take the pressure after his brain, I mean ass has been mutilated. "Ehem..." Sarah and I both heard a voice behind us. I turned around and was greeted by Mr. Tyler's grimly face that makes you shudder inside. "Mr. Terrence Crow come with me please at the guidance office," he said. "Did I do something wrong?" I said suspiciously. "We'll talk when you get there," I turn to Cathlyn but she dosn't know anything. In fact she seem to be interested in the idea that I did something brutally proscribed. Something tells me she's imagining me paving the walls with 'Mr. Tyler's left ass is missing, please inform the public before anyone notices'. Somehow I doubt that. "Sure. Umm, Cathlyn can you wait for me here?" I said. "Yes," And then she whispered, "If you're still alive. If your not here for about and hour, I'll call reinforcements." Then she glowered at him intently. He glowered back at her. I glowered at the grass. "Oookay. Let's go." I said. Erie. *** "I havn't murdered anybody, have I?" I said. "No Mr. Crow. It is much more grave than that," What's much grave than killing? "We, the principal and I have been watching you." Okay, if this is about my secret identity, I admitt it. I'm Elvis' son. "And we're deeply troulbled." "Watching me?" I asked. "Yes. It seems like your social life is quite a downfall..." WHAT? "Social life?" I exclaimed loudly. "Yes, you're social life. Being alone during lunch hours, too shy on class eventhough you're a smart and talented student, and having no friends at all. That's your social life." I'm shocked. It's like someone just dropped me on a blender that made my insides splattering through the blades. And there I am. A manure shake o-le-vua . "Aha, so are you saying that I go around campus with a sign on my forehead 'I have a bad social life. Please kill me'." "NO. What I'm saying is that you mingle with some of the students." "And what if I don't. I mean I already love my life the way it is. It's not that I'm violating some rules or hurting any people for that matter," I said contradictingly. "Yes, but what you don't know is that this school does not tolerate this attitude. Your ineptitude will affect your future greatly. Universities and other upper colleges require high social standards these days. And I don't think they would appriciate a loner." Loner my ass. "But what about what you saw back then in the grounds. I already have a friend. Her name is Cathlyn. We just don't quite hang around lunch much because she has to go to the library and fix her grades up. And eventhough she is my only friend, that still counts, right?" "Unfortunately, no. Okay, you've got Ms. Burns on your side but what about other friends or clubs. You havn't joined any club or organization. There are quite a number of clubs around here but every time one encourages you to join, you say you're busy." "But I am! Look, I don't go filling up forms on organizations that I don't like, okay? It doesn't make me less of a person to be a loner. And it certainly is not proscribe in any other school to be one." "Well, actually we are the only school who does this. But I'm sure of you this will be all for the good of your future. Here, read this," He handed me an brown envelope that came out from his desk. "This will be the club that you're joining. And don't say no. You know we have your scholarship and any unnecessary rebuffs would certainly not go unpunished." Friggin' punish my ass. *** I staggered to the grounds where Cathlyn was waiting for me. But I was still shocked and confused. Urgh! Bastards! So Cathlyn's not good enough and they fix me up with this dumb club. Urgh! Now, my reasons of being a heinous killer has been doubled. "So, how did it go? Any broken limbs? decapitated heads? breast implants?" Cathlyn's insults were not heliping. "Yeah, sure. Mr. Tyler gave me an F for failing to keep my mouth open and breath fire. He said my social skills are dead. And I have to mix with this group called the..." I said as I leafed through the brown folder, "the amity club." She began to choke on what she was drinking. "The amity club? Ha! It's like a relief center in there. Might as well call it the 911 club or those religous conformist channels where they offer psychological help. And the next thing you know, a shotgun is placed on your head while they abduct you to their mothership. Ha! You are in so much trouble." "Thanks for the encouragement sister. I'm on distraught here! I'm dead seriuos!!!" I said angrily. "Okay, okay. Will it help if I told you that my borther is in there too? I mean he's a lot shy than you are but he really enjoys helping people. Like he's natural to be magnanimous, you know? Sometimes I thought he's going to go for the Nobel prize. You should find him quite interesting." Knowing my temper, she stopped making jokes. "Why didn't you told me you had a brother? I always hang around your house and I never see him," I said. "Well, like I said he's shy. Either he is busy with school or our commodious house was enough to keep him from meeting my bestfriend woobydoooby. And by that I mean you." "Yeah, I know. I'm kinda new to this bestfriend thing. Back at home, I was all by myself. No friends, no enemies. Except the daily dosage of irriating relatives who likes ripping your tattered toys.... you know I love you," I said. "I love you too sweetie." We hugged warmfully. *** "So, where going to talk over this and...*knock*..." The guy standing was suddenly interrupted. "Um, is this the.... amity club?" I said to the man. "Yes. And you are?" he said. "Terrence. Terrence Crow. I've been transfered here by Mr. Tyler," I said lamely. "Uh, yes. I was hoping you would show up. Sit over here so you can formally introduce yourself with the group. By the way, I'm Mr. Stevens Barkley. Just call me Stevens," he said. I hurdled down at the nearest chair hoping nobody notices me. Then when I turn my head, the modderator was staring at me. "Uhh...I'm Terrence Crow," I said as people started to stare at me too, "I...I...I'm new to this place. I'm from the States and moved here 3 months ago. And like I don't exactly have much friends that's why I'm here and being coerced out of my own will. And that's bad because nobody can say to you what you have to do in your life. Like being puppets to a voraciuos yuppie where they extenuate human freedom for their own desires. And that's why we're all here, to live up to the dreams of our forefathers, fathers, brothers, sisters, principals and dogs, I mean guidance counselors," Urgh! This is embarrassing! Why can't I keep my id intact? Why do I have to suffer everytime my nerves get taut? Urgh! "And umm, I'm just... going to sit here..." I smiled as people around me exude bewildred faces that I didn't dare look. "OOOhkay, so as I was saying...blah blah blah blah," I can't believe the guy kept on chattering as if nothing has happened. Is it me or has mankind suddenly became impervious to my venom? "Psst," I was in a deep reverie when someone just called my attention. "Psst!" he repeated it twice. Who does this guy think he is? I twisted my head to meet a red-haired boy with a face that some would think cute. Kinda like Nick Carter type. But not my taste. "My name's not psst," I said trying to look irritated. "Sorry, I'm Joshua," he said. So? I acted as if I don't know him, well, I really don't. "Cathlyn hasn't told you? I'm her brother," he said offering me a hand. "Oh, she didn't. Actually she mentioned that you're here but I guess she forgot to give me your name. Call me Terrence," As if he knows that enough. I took his hand warmly. "Nice introduction. Funny, I thought you were running for president or something." "Well, Cathlyn said the same thing when I first met her. So what do we do here?" "Simple. We help those students who need one. Like an extension of what the guidance counselor does," he said as I thought about the real intention of Mr. Tyler. He just wants these boys to do his damn job! Urgh! "Oh, sounds cool. So where are the patients?" I said trying to lighten up the mood. "Umm, actualy they don't know yet that they are, well, 'patients'," Huh? "We come up to them and offer them our services," Sounds like where selling life insurance. "Oh, so we bust in their lives and kick their heads until it turns to normal, that's it?" I said sarcatically. "You sound like it's a bad thing," Well, duh? "Somehow being a toilet scraper is more appealing. But I guess I have to ride with it or I get kicked by the school." "Well, sorry about that. But this club is great. Trust me. Your actually doing some real stuff to help other people's lives." "Well, from the looks of it, I like to keep my personal business to its bounadaries. But I guess trying to 'help' isn't a bad idea." I said emphasizing the help word. So the meeting rolled in what seemed interminably. The moderator decided to hail for a break. I decided to break my head. But instead I feel my gorge rising. You know the uncanny emotion when you feel somebody is watching your every move. I sense it right now. And it's coming from... way up there. Ha! Wait a minute, why is Joshua staring at me? Huh? Now he's looking at his desk. I think its a signal or something. Oh! I get it. It's prison lingo. Is it? I think he's telling me that his desk has been possesed by some kind of woody druid, who likes wood. And that thing is trying to control Joshua's head so he can take over the universe and be my rival adversary. Oh well, could have been worse. I noticed that he stood up and was going to sit right next to me. So why do I get this feeling that I'm going to be nervous. It's not like I haven't talked to him yet. And he's Cathlyn's brother, only a year older than me. "So, having a good time," he said. "I've had better," I said trying to sound hopefull. "Well, the president has given us different assignments for this month," he said showing me his work files. "Um, he asked me if we could team up so that I could show you how to deal with the students." "Yeah, sure. I don't mind." "Okay, but um, I wouldn't be present at the first interview. I have a really important rendezvous meeting to go at. Can you manage all by yourself?" he asked. "Sure," I said. "Are you sure? Cause I could ask Adrien to cover me up." "No. It's cool, I'll be okay," I said. "Sure?" "Yeah, really sure," I said comforting him. "Okay then..." he said then looking at me in the eyes for about five minutes, "bye," and he quickly left. That's weird. I feel like... I don't know what I feel. Wait. Is he?-no. Am I?-no. Are we?-no. Okay, so now that my right brain is functioning perfectly, I could continue on making more sensible judgements. Like killing Mrs. Doubtfire. Weird. *** On lunch, I met Cathlyn. She's on a tight schedule but I guess her bestfriend was more of a priority. Shucks. "So, how did it go?" Cathlyn said with a smirk on her face. "Weird," I wasn't going to tell her why I feel weird, but I've got this feeling she already knew. "That weird huh? Well, I don't blame you. So who's going to be your case?" she said. "Case?" I said innocently. "Yeah, you know. The one you will go after. Your victim of interminable senseless I-know-how-you-feel talk. The person given to you." she said flatly. "Oh, well I... here," I gave her the files that Joshua handed to me, "I guess that face rings a bell, dosen't it" I can see that she's trying to remember now. "Oh, is this that Cristan guy you met?" "No. Look here, he's name is Tristan. Tristan Landers. The top basketball varsity player of the school, the top academic student of the school, and most of all the top, friggin top all-around student the school ever had! He's made in a labarotory for all I know. He's a friggin lab rat!" I said hotly. "Okay, so what's wrong with him?" "Well, he skipped classes a couple of times, didn't show up to club meetings and varsity practices, and has been absent for about three days. His teachers said they saw him crying at the halls one day." I said trying to calm down a bit. "So? Why are you so friggin hot man?" she said immitating my voice. "Well hello? He's the most perfect student here! Isn't it obvious if he's just faking all of this just to get much more needed attention. He plans to stage some melodramatic bane so that teachers might notice. And then he would cry at the halls and a teacher comes up. And you know what he would say why he's pouring all that friggin tears?" I said icely. "What?" she said with a bemused face. "That I'm here. And I have all the feasible powers to rip him off the stage. That's why he was trying to be friendly to me all this time. Because he's friggin scared of me! Don't you get it? He asked Mr. Tyler to place me at that club so I could team up with Josh. And when Tristan and I would be alone he'll smack me right in the head and beat me up like all the jocks do when someone gets in their way. Don't you see it? I'm a friggin dead man!" "Terrence *sigh* how do I say this.... your SCREWED! Look, first of all Joshua wouldn't leave you alone..." she was going to say something but I curtailed her strike. "He already did," I said torpidly. "What?" "He said he had some other plans. I'm dead!" "Wait. Calm down, okay? I don't know why I havn't seen or heard from this Tristan guy before but I'm pretty sure he wouldn't do something that could ruin his reputation." "Hello? He got all of this planed. He made sure nobody sees me getting fried. And he's a jock! And I'm dead! I'm friggin dead!" "Would you stop saying your dead! Uh!. Look I'll think of a way. For the meantime, we go to our classes. I'll think this over the weekend. When are you two going to meet?" "Um, Joshua said Tuesday night, after his practice," I said worriedly. "Okay, meet me at my house Monday after class. From there, we'll settle everything. Don't worry okay? We'll find a way." "Well we sure have to. Because if we don't, I'm going to be dea..." I slipped my tounge as Cathlyn almost whipped me her hair when I was about to say the word 'dead'. We said our goodbyes to each other after classes were over. I couldn't think straight even for just a second. I was aloof walking around the grounds. Am I cursed? What did I do to deserve such fate? Urgh! Why can't I die normally. Like other people do. Like be hit with a speeding bus or have a heart attack or listen to my PE teacher sing in the showers. Why me? Why the friggin me! Tristan. Damn Tristan! I am so gonna kick his beautiful ass if he ever touches me. Maybe Cathlyn is right. Maybe I am screwed. Because eventhough all the signs lead to Tristan's plan to smuggle my liver to China, I still feel that he's not that. That he's a nice caring person. And who just happens to have the two qualities that I despise. First he's a jock, and we all know how I hate those dumb inept guys. And second, he's the top student. And I can't contend with that. I'm always number one on my past schools and no one has ever beaten me. Never. Now, I must keep my ego and see him as a hindrance to my dreams. My enemy clad in a godly face. I must be the top here, no matter what. I'm so gonna be better than him! Yeah, that's right. Show him your tough! But I have to do my work first. I'm gonna show him that I am not scared. That I'm ging to do this 'amity' club thing. But this time I'm going to be prepared. Armed. I just don't know how in the cosmic universe I could do it. Urgh! I'm such a wuss. Come rain, shine my ass. *** Hope you like it. Chapter 4 would be really messy. Stay tuned. Bye! -Eyzonyou(",)
