CHAPTER ELEVEN

Because of the three week break between my stories here is the final
paragraph of the previous chapter.

They made a definite time and then it was all over and Gloria drove Davey
to school because all the other boys had long gone.  He made it just before
the first bell and had to rush to his first class and Davey wasn't sure how
he was going to explain to Johnny Walker what he had done; especially after
their conversation last night.

Now read on.

Of course when he ran into the classroom right at the last minute Johnny
Walker looked at him with a questioning look, but before Davey could say
anything the teacher called the roll.

Davey had to admit that his mind wasn't on his school work all morning
because he was beginning to have second thoughts regarding his written
statement he gave to Nigel Peters, Jared's lawyer.  To get Jared off and
keep him out of jail he would have to lie in court and while, yes, he did
seduce his older friend; Jared still broke the law by having sex with a
minor.

Even walking between classes he appeared to be in a daydream and didn't
hear Johnny talking to him he was so far away inside his own thoughts. In
the end Johnny tapped Davey on his shoulder to attract his attention,
"What's the matter Davey you were miles away, have been all morning?"

"I don't know Johnny I haven't had time to tell you but I think I've done
something very wrong and I'm not sure how to get out of it."

Before he could explain any more they had arrived at their next class and
conversation was out of the question.

Before breakfast Joey was looking for Sally but couldn't find her.  A
couple of the younger boys had nightmares which was a common occurrence
when you consider that horrible place they had been rescued from and during
the night the staff had hunted all over the place trying to locate Sally
who as head of the social welfare department at the shelter was supposed to
be on call twenty four/seven.

The staff on duty overnight had mentioned to Joey that this was becoming a
frequent occurrence with Sally and they weren't very happy about it.  Joey
finally spotted her coming in through the main door of the hotel just on
breakfast time and asked if he could speak to her in private.

They went into Joey's office and he asked her to sit down while he went
behind his desk. He was silent for a while still not being fully sure on
how to handle situations like this, "Sally the night staff are worried that
you haven't been available on a couple of occasions when some of the
younger guys have woken up with problems.  As you realize they are not
properly equipped to look after situations like that and it is your job yet
they couldn't locate you."

"I'm sorry Joey and I do have something I want to ask you regarding this
very subject." She paused gathering her thoughts before continuing, "I
think you are aware that I am a lesbian and have fallen for a lovely lady
here in El Paso, Bethany is her name and she has asked me to move in with
her in her apartment."

This took Joey a little bit by surprise and didn't say anything for a
while, "Your contract is for you to be on call at all times and we pay you
accordingly, I can see that isn't quite fair on you who like everyone else
is entitled to some social life, but you should always make sure that the
staff on duty know where you and a contact number.

I'll advertise for an assistant to help you now that we are filling up and
this will give you more time off.  In the meantime I'd like you to continue
living in the hotel until someone can be found."

The look of dismay on Sally's face said it all and she was surprised at the
businesslike manner in which Joey was talking to her. She did think of
arguing her position but thought that she would let it go for now until she
had more time to think about what to say and what kind of argument to put
forward.

Joey looked at his watch saying, "I really must get some breakfast Sally
and maybe we can talk some more about this later this evening?"  She nodded
in agreement as she headed for her own room to have a shower and a change
of clothes.

Meanwhile her son Luke was having problems of his own.  He couldn't stop
thinking about Pru his secretary and the great date they had the night
before.  He had discreetly done some checking regarding senior officers
having affairs with civilian staff members especially those who worked as
close together as Pru and he did.

When she came in to work that morning Pru had thanked Luke for a wonderful
night out and was obviously delighted when he suggested that do it again
very soon.  The chemistry growing between the two was obvious and both of
them were certain in their own minds that they were attracted to each
other.

Grabbing a cup of coffee Luke went next door to talk to Paul the other
assistant chief of police.  He knocked and entered and was surprised to see
chief Falster also there. He was about to apologize and leave when the
chief said, "Come in Luke we were just taking a coffee break like you so
why not join us and in true police tradition I've brought some doughnuts."
All three laughed at this joke as Luke made his way in to sit with the
other two.

The conversation was pretty general until the chief surprised Luke by
saying, "I believe you have a problem with your secretary Pru?"

"Err no sir, she's a great worker and dedicated to the job I don't know
where you got that idea from sir."

Laughing Chief Falster continued, "I wasn't referring to her work but to
your social activities and how rumour has it that they are progressing
along very well."  Luke blushed a deep red and said nothing waiting for the
bomb to drop.  "As you know this type of relationship is against the police
force rules and regulations so we must find a way to get around them."

Luke was still blushing and becoming totally confused at the direction the
conversation was going. "What it boils down to Luke is that you have only
two options.  If you decide to make a go of it with Pru then she must step
down as your secretary or the alternative is that she remains as your
secretary and your relationship goes no further."

No one spoke for a while with Luke finding it difficult to absorb what his
boss had just said. Paul too was no help and just sat staring into space.

Finally Luke spoke his piece, "I don't think that is very fair chief.  For
a start I think we are both attracted to each other but need time to work
out if a relationship is possible and secondly she is a damn good worker
and I would hate to lose her."

I agree with you Luke the whole thing stinks. The only solution I can offer
is that until you are certain this is the girl for you and vice versa you
keep your relationship well and truly under wraps as far as the department
is concerned, and that won't be easy the way rumours fly around this
place." He laughed as he stood to make his way to his own office and back
to work dropping the hint that his two assistants should do the same.

It was an unhappy Luke who made his way back to his office and a massive
workload.  Thinking about his secretary he thought that he would ask Pru
out for a drink tonight somewhere very quiet and discreet and talk about
their relationship and what had just been discussed with his chief.

As lunchtime approached and the time drew near when he would be required to
go to the front of the school and sign his statement Davey became more and
more worried.  Finally during the last lesson before lunch he went to the
front of the class asking the teacher if he could be excused to go and see
the Principal.

Taken completely by surprise by this request the teacher said yes making
sure that Davey was not ill or anything like that before giving him written
permission to be out of class. Without looking in Johnny Walkers direction
he left the classroom heading down the hall to the office.

He spoke to one of the ladies behind the counter who told him to take a
seat and she would see if Principal Michael's could see him. No sooner had
he sat down when she said he could go right in.

Timidly entering the office Davey began to get cold feet wondering if he
was doing the right thing worrying the Principal with his problems. Smiling
Principal Michaels stood up and came around his desk to welcome Davey,
"Welcome Davey I must admit I was taken by surprise when I was told you
wanted to see me but that's all right, I realise it must be something
important.

Take a seat and tell me what's on your mind." Davey sat down with Michaels
sitting next to him and he began telling him the full story from start to
finish about him and Jared leaving nothing out.

When he had finished Principal Michaels thought for a moment before
speaking, "Well Davey I'm happy that your conscience has got the better of
you and you're having second thoughts because perjury is a serious crime.

What to do now that you have seen the error of your ways is the question.
I feel this lawyer should be taken to task and I think the first thing we
should do is call Gloria, your mother, and ask if she has the time to come
in and see us straight away.

Meanwhile I will send word down to this lawyer who will be waiting for you
asking him to come back in an hour because you could not get permission to
leave at the allotted time, how does that sound?"

"Thank you sir, that sounds good."  Principal Michaels picked up the phone
and called the hotel getting through to Gloria almost immediately, assuring
her that there was nothing wrong he asked if she could come in and see him
and Davey right away.  Hoping that she wasn't panicking too much and
reassuring her yet again nothing was wrong with Davey or any of her other
children he ended the call.

Michaels questioned Davey a bit more mainly regarding the tactics this
Lawyer Nigel Peters had used.  He wasn't very happy with the way this young
upstart had persuaded Davey to do what he did.  Less than thirty minutes
later Gloria arrived and was shown into his office immediately.

Thanking here for coming in at such short notice, he told Gloria every bit
of conversation which had taken place between him and Davey, "Oh dear!
Mr. Michaels I hadn't realized the full story of what happened between
Davey and this Jared.  If I had then I would never have consented for that
lawyer to talk to Davey but he had such a persuasive manner."

"Well the thing is what are we going to do about it and I personally would
like this Lawyer taken to task for the way he has acted."

"I don't know Mr. Michaels; do you have any suggestions?"

"Well I was just wondering if Judge Harold Evans is free and available
right now, maybe I could invite him into a conference call on the phone."

Gloria jumped at the idea while Davey just sat very quiet and miserable
wondering what the outcome was going to be.

Meanwhile, Garrett was busy working at his bench at the alternative when
one of the instructors came up to tell him that he was needed in the main
office right away. Having no idea what this was about he made his way to
the office to find a young man there from the District Attorney's office to
see him.

They went in to a small interview room and he invited Garrett to sit
down. Still having no idea what this was about he did has he was told and
waited patiently while this young guy open his briefcase and withdrew a
file which he noticed had his name on the front, " Garrett, if I may call
you by your first name?" Garrett nodded his head.

"Part of the sentence imposed by the judge was that you spend some of your
free time helping out with AIDS patients in a local hospital and I have
been asked to organize this part of your punishment."

It was a while before Garrett was able to recall that part of his sentence
and it had gone completely out of his head.  The D.A.'s assistant
continued, "Currently AIDS in America has reached epidemic proportions but
in this part of West Texas isn't quite as bad.  But all the same we do have
a small ward of people with AIDS and two evenings a week for two hours you
will work there under the jurisdiction of the nursing staff helping out in
general, talking to the patients and doing whatever is required of you to
help out."

Not knowing very much about AIDS Garrett began to freak out, "What if I
catch it by working in there?  Surely I'm at risk?"

"I don't know much about the disease myself but all this will be explained
to you when you arrive tomorrow night for your first evening."  At that he
put his folder away stood up and told Garrett that transport would take him
to and from and on those evenings, meals would be provided in the hospital
for him and not at the hotel.

He was in a bit of a daze as he made his way back to the workshop walking
right past Jake without seeing him and certainly not answering him when he
asked what was happening.

Back at his workbench he continued working on the job he was supposed to be
doing but wasn't paying attention.  Jake came up to him and asked him again
what was going on, "Oh nothing except tomorrow night I have to go work in a
hospital where they treat AIDS patients and I'm frightened that I might
catch it or something."

Laughing Jake replied, "You can only catch it if you have sex with a guy
who already has it and then it's ok if you wear a condom, and I've got a
supply of them." He said with a wink as he walked back to his own bench.

It took no time at all for Principal Michaels to get Judge Harold Evans on
the phone and on speakerphone, "Thanks for giving us some of your valuable
time Judge.  I have young Davey and his mother Gloria Hernandez with me
listening in."

After everyone had greeted everyone else Principal Michaels explained
everything to Harold just as Davey had explained to him and when he had
finished Harold addressed Davey, "Davey what you were about to do is
against the law and you would be committing perjury which is a serious
offence.

I'm glad that you decided not to go ahead with signing your statement and
going to your school principal was the right decision.  I am very unhappy
at the way this young lawyer coerced you into making this statement and
also it sounds like he is leading your friend Jared on as well to further
his own career.

Principal Michaels I would appreciate if you could invite this young lawyer
up to your office on the pretence of signing this statement because I would
like to hear his reaction when Davey refuses to sign before deciding what
legal action we can take."

Principal Michaels said that he would do that and he called the schools
security explaining what he wanted doing and to bring the Nigel Peters up
to his office.

Judge Evans stayed on the line and continued speaking, "Technically this
lawyer hasn't broken any laws as such, it's just his persuasive manner
which is a bit suspect and he is sailing close to the wind legally."

Just as he finished speaking Nigel Peters Jared's legal representative was
being shown into the principal's office and he greeted Davey and Gloria
like old friends before offering his hand to Principle Michaels.

"Good morning sir I have all the paperwork ready for Davey to sign so that
I don't take up too much of your valuable time." he said as he produced the
typed up statement that Davey made earlier this morning.

"The reason why you were invited into my office to discuss Davey's
statement is because he is no longer going to sign it because to do so he
would be perjuring himself in a court of law." Principle Michaels
explained.  The look on the lawyers face said it all as Principal Michaels
continued, "We are not happy with the way you intruded into this young
man's life and persuaded him to make this statement because of his past
connections with your client and to persuade him to break the law."

"Oh come now, that's a bit strong at no time did I force Davey to say
anything which he didn't want to say." Nigel Peters said.

"It's not what you said but what you didn't say which puts into question
your ability to continue practising law."  Nigel looked around to see where
this voice was coming from and then he noticed the speakerphone on the
table.

Judge Evans continued, "I am Judge Harold Evans and I will be sending in a
report concerning your conduct to the bar association.  Your ethics and
standards leave a lot to be desired, sir and I will be taking further
action. I would now like you to shred Davey Hernandez statement in front of
Principal Michaels and I then suggest that you leave the school and do not
bother any of those involved in the case against Jared Dempsey."

Nigel went a whiter shade of pale when he heard the judge's voice and he
was at a loss for words, "I will do everything you say your honour and not
bother these people again."  After that he handed Principal Michael's the
typed statement which he promptly put through his shredding machine before
calling security to escort Mr Peters off the premises.

Gloria stood up saying, "Judge Evans and you too Principal Michaels, thank
you both for help and advice and hopefully we will never hear from this man
again."

Both of them agreed, while Davey was looking just a little bit sad.
Noticing this Principal Michaels suggested that because school was almost
over for the day Gloria might as well take Davey home.

Thanking him once again for all his help she left with Davey in tow heading
for her car and the hotel.  On the way back Davey was very quiet and Gloria
thought it was best to leave him with his thoughts for now.

Meanwhile heading for the last lesson of the day Johnnie Walker was frantic
wondering what on earth was happening to his boyfriend, Davey.  When he
didn't turn up for lunch he looked all over the place for him and asked all
the other guys but no one had seen him.

Once the final bell rang he hung around waiting to see if he could catch
sight of his lover but there was no sight of him and in the end he couldn't
wait any longer and had to rush to catch up with the other guys and a lift
home.

Jared Dempsey waited patiently in his El Paso cell for his lawyer to visit
him with what he hoped was good news but nothing was forthcoming and
finally two police officers arrived to escort him back to Amarillo.  He
protested that his Lawyer was presenting evidence here in El Paso and he
wouldn't have to go back to jail but all his pleading fell on deaf ears.

He was in tears when he was taken in shackles out to the van taking him
back to Amarillo.

Also in tears sitting in his room was Davey feeling bad that Jared was
going back to jail and it was all his fault.  If he hadn't seduced him and
persuaded him to have sex with him, he would be a free man right now.

Inwardly he was also cursing that lawyer who led both him and Jared astray
giving them false hopes and now Davey had to face his boyfriend Johnny and
explain everything to him something he was dreading.

He didn't have to wait long to face Johnny because while he was lying back
on his bed there was a knock on the door and when he called come in Johnny
walked in heading straight for the bed and the arms of young Davey.

"What happened to you lover I have been worried sick all day.  First you
were so far out of it that you didn't even hear me talking to you then you
vanished out of the classroom and I never saw you again all day and no one
knew where you were."  He finally stopped talking flopping down on the bed
next to Davey reaching over to kiss him deeply and fully on the lips.

When they broke apart Davey with tears in his eyes said, "I almost made a
big mistake today and yet I feel sad still even though I made it right."
The puzzled look in Johnny's eyes said it all and Davey told him everything
that had happened from last night's visit by the Lawyer to the final
outcome with the school Principal, Gloria and Judge Harold.


When he'd finished talking the tears started flowing and Johnny couldn't
understand why, "Don't get me wrong Johnny I love you so much and want to
spend the rest of my life with you but Jared was so good to me and he's
only in jail right now because I seduced him, made him have sex with me and
it's wrong that he has to go to jail for that."

Johnny was silent for a while.  All day deep down he thought that Jared was
figuring somewhere in Davey's thoughts and now he knew he was right, "And
now you're feeling down because he's going back to jail and you still love
him?"

With tears in his eyes Davey reached out to hold onto Johnny saying, "I
only love him because he was there when I needed someone to talk to and
cuddle, he helped me over a tough time Johnny and I wish you could
understand that.

I love you and I want you in my life for ever. Let's make a pact no more
mentioning of Jared's name after today for ever, Ok?"

Johnny reached across kissing Davey gently on the lips before whispering,
"Ok, I love you so much Davey and I wouldn't want to live if I lost you."
They began kissing and cuddling, holding each other tightly in their arms,
remaining that way until Gloria tapped on the door telling them it was time
for dinner.

Breaking off Davey yelled that they were coming remarking to Johnny that he
was starving because he missed the second breakfast at school and also
lunch. Hand in hand after washing up they made their way down to the dining
room joining the others.

As the guys in the hotel were settling down to eat Luke and Pru had found a
nice secluded bar and were seated in a corner booth relaxing after a hard
day at work.

Luke was feeling very nervous because he wanted to raise the subject of
their relationship both personally and workwise because the two of them
looked like becoming entwined and it would difficult to maintain it
according to what Chief Falster said earlier that day.

They made idle chatter talking about a variety of things over the first
drink but when the second one arrived along with something to eat Luke
decided now was the time to get more personal.

"Pru I feel very much attracted to you and as we mentioned briefly last
night I think we would both like our relationship to go up a notch." He
reached over to grab her hand and gently squeeze it and she accepted the
gesture in fact she looked as if she welcomed it.

"The problem if we do go that bit further our jobs are in jeopardy or at
least yours is Pru.

I don't want to lose you as a secretary because you are great at your job,
but I would also like to get to know you more and maybe in time develop our
relationship more."

He looked across the table anxiously at this beautiful young lady and was
more sure in his mind that he was falling head over heels in love with her.

"Luke I think I'm beginning to fall for you as well you are a great guy and
while as you say its early days yet I would love to get to know you more,
but I too have been thinking about our working relationship and what is
going to happen.

I don't want to lose my job, I really enjoy working with you, but where
does that leave us?"  Luke went on to explain to Pru what Chief Falster had
told him this morning and she pulled a face when he got to the part where
we have to keep any relationship which might develop secret.

"I don't think I want a relationship which has to be kept out of view and
we can only meet when no one else is around or only go out to places where
no one else is likely to recognize us that is no basis for any kind of
relationship is it?"

"I agree Pru but that is the way it has to be if we wish to continue and I
certainly do and I hope you do too.  There has to be a solution somewhere
along the way."

He paused before continuing thinking very carefully what he was about to
say, "One idea which went through my head was that you and Paul's secretary
swapped positions, that way you would still be working in the same
department but with a different boss and in the office next to mine."

This time it was Pru's turn to pause before replying, "That could cause
some problems Luke, you see Paul and I dated a couple of time when he was
just a detective and I think he still has some feeling towards me.

Don't get me wrong he is a very nice man but I didn't get the same feelings
and emotions like I'm getting being with you."

This made Luke's ego go up a notch and he grinned at the thought of his Pru
liking him more than his friend, but that still didn't solve their problem
and as they finished their drinks and headed home both of them were finding
the pressure of work and relationship crowding down on them.

Sally and Bethany were feeling the same kind of pressure as Sally explained
while they ate dinner in Bethany's apartment.  Before leaving the hotel
Sally had made sure that the night staff had her phone number and knew
where to find her, "For the time being I will have to stay in the hotel
until I can talk some more to Joey.

But there's nothing to stop you spending the night at the hotel once I get
you cleared by security so perhaps until something is sorted we could
alternate between the two places.  I only have single bed but I will look
around for a bigger one and I know there are some stored away in the hotel
so that shouldn't be too much of a problem."

Grinning Bethany replied," I think it will be fun in a single bed don't you
sweetheart?" Both of them laughed before reaching across the table to kiss
stirred up by the thought of the closeness they would have to joyfully
endure sleeping in a small bed.

Meanwhile most of the hotel was settling down for an evening either in
front of the TV in the big lounge or in the privacy of their own rooms.
Davey and Johnny opted for some privacy after all they hadn't seen much of
each other all day and Johnny was still upset over Davey thinking that he
should even consider lying in court to get his former lover off the hook.

"Are you sure you don't love Jared more than you love me?" Johnny asked for
what seemed like the hundredth time to Davey.  In fact Davey was getting
sick and tired of hearing about the whole thing because Gloria and Andy
also spoke to him over dinner about how silly it was to worry about someone
who had blatantly broke the law.

In fact Davey had stormed off up to his room with Johnny running after him
after telling his new parents, "But can't you see it was all my fault I
started it."

"Johnny I'm only going to say this once more and if you're happy about it
then maybe we should think again about our relationship. I love you; I want
to be with you for the rest of my life.  Jared was and still is a part of
my past and the sooner I put him back where he belongs the happier we will
all be.

This doubt you keep having about us is wearing thin and I'll say again for
the last time I love you Johnny Walker."  On those words he reached over
and kissed his lover long and hard on the lips.

When they broke off Johnny speaking very quietly said, "I'm sorry Davey I
won't mention that name ever again.  I love you just as much as you love me
and I want all the same things out of life that you want for us to be
together for ever as lovers and partners."

"I wonder if our parents will let you sleep over tonight Johnny?"

"Maybe if I explain to my mom all the trauma you went through today she may
say yes. I just wish we could sleep together every night for ever." Johnny
said. He picked up the house phone and called his mom who wasn't too happy
at first but he managed to wear her down and she relented.

Both of them went next door to Gloria and Andy to plead some more and
Gloria relented because she was feeling bad that she had allowed that
lawyer to talk her into seeing Davey and cause all that trouble for him.

Smiling broadly they went back to Davey's room locking the door behind them
although it was still early they both stripped off, heading for the shower
they both stepped in together and began kissing allowing their tongues to
roam around each other's mouths before Johnny moved down Davey's body
kissing and gently biting all the way down until he found his lovers very
hard dick which he took into his mouth deep throating him straight off
causing Davey to moan with desire.

Johnny began to systematically suck Davey's dick moving slowly up and down
the shaft increasing Davey's desire with every little movement.

He was tempted to place a finger around his partner and begin rubbing that
pink hole but was still too scared to do that after everything Davey had
gone through.  He knew that he would have to be very patient before they
both reached that point in their relationship.

put his fingers on his lips so he would quieten down.

Moving up they stood for a moment embracing each other allowing the water
to cascade over them.  Finally they broke apart and grabbing soap and
sponges began to wash each other paying of course particular attention to

Turning off the water and towelling each other dry they walked naked back
into the bedroom and got between the sheets cuddling each other.  Johnny
spoke up first, "you moved your hand behind me does this mean that you are
getting ready to take our lovemaking a little bit further?"

Davey thought about the question for such a long time that Johnny thought
he might have upset him but eventually he spoke," I don't know Johnny I'd
love to but I'm still scared and frightened about how it will be and
sometime my butt does feel a little bit sore still.

I would love to go all the way with you Johnny.  In fact I'm scared that if
we don't do that soon you'll get fed up of waiting and find someone else."

"Davey I wish you wouldn't talk like that.  I will never ever give you up
for someone else that's for sure and the sooner you realize that the
better."  There was a hint of anger in his voice which Johnny immediately
regretted having because the last thing he wanted to do was upset his
lover.

"I'm sorry Johnny.  I guess you'll have to be just a little bit more
patient for me for a while longer.  The time will come and when it does I'm
sure it will be a wonderful time for the both of us."

He leaned in kissing his partner, hugging him tightly kissing him gently on
the lips. Not long after that sleep overtook them and they slept like
babies in each other's arms.

Just before they went to bed Gloria and Andy using a pass key to unlock the
door peeped into the room. Arms round each other Andy whispered, "They look
so happy and peaceful there just like innocent young children without a
care in the world."

"Yes Andy I think we might talk to Mrs Walker about allowing the boys to
sleep together on a more permanent basis.  After all our Jacob was sleeping
with Joey at their age."

"I can't believe you're saying that Gloria after the way you used to go on
about Jacob and the other guys, my how you've changed."  They both laughed
as they relocked the door and made the way back to their own room.

Garrett and Jake sat up late watching TV in the room they shared and while
Jake tried to make some light hearted conversation with his roommate, he
wasn't getting anywhere because Garrett was miles away. Putting his arm
around his pal Jake said softly, "What's the problem good buddy, what's on
your mind?"

At first Garrett ignored him but then told him, "I'm worried about working
in the hospital with AIDS patients, what if I catch it?"

"Don't worry I'm sure the hospital will do everything they can to make sure
you are safe buddy."

"I suppose you're right but I'm worried sick and I don't like hospitals at
the best of times but it will be worse with all those sick dying fagots
around me."

"Don't ever, ever call them that name again, Garrett or believe me you'll
be sorry." The threatening voice Jake used made Garrett sit and look more
closely at his roomie, "Don't forget I'm one and you could be for all we
know."

The tone of Jake's voice made Garrett look at changing the subject but Jake
didn't let him as he continued, "Garrett I've fallen in love with you and
would give anything to be with you for the rest of my life."

The look on Garrett's face said it all!  He had no idea that was coming and
while it shocked him he also felt some emotion rising in his throat because
he had been feeling a lot more than friendship lately towards his roommate.
He still wasn't sure where his sexuality was at, but he enjoyed this big
black guy's company especially when he was not putting on the bluff
bullying pose which he often used.

"Jake I love you too, but I'm not sure if it is as a lover or just a very
close friend. Let's face it I'm still confused but if we spent the rest of
lives together I don't think it would worry me.  In fact I would love it
but as for the sex bit, well I just don't know and I hope you will
understand that Jake and not push me into something that I don't want to
do?"

Jake showing emotion on his face for the first time moved closer putting
his arm around his friend giving him a big hug before kissing him gently on
the cheek. That kiss sent a burning thrilling sensation through Garrett and
he didn't know what was happening to him except that he was getting hard
from that little bitty kiss.

Surprising himself, Garrett leaned across and kissed Jake fully on the
lips. Wow! Man what brought that on?" he asked as his friend began to hug
him tightly almost as if he didn't want to lose or him or let him escape
from his clutches.

"I love you Jake! You're so good to me, you have helped me so much since I
got away from my mother.  I was wondering if you could swing it so that you
came with me to the hospital and helped me with the aids patients?"

"Sure man if that is what you want I'm pretty sure if I talk to the right
people I can swing it, no problem." He paused gathering his thoughts, "in
fact I want to be by your side all the time if you'll let me?"

Quietly Garrett whispered, "Yes, I would like that Jake." Once again he
hesitated before continuing, "I do love you Jake and if you want to make
love to me I will never stop you, just don't hurt me."

"The days when I would hurt and bully you have long gone Garrett but are
sure this is what you want or have I got you on the rebound from your mom?"

"No.  I'm sure, I want to be with you all the time and if you want to make
love then I will, I'm still not sure if that is what I want but time will
tell."

They lay together in each other arms until sleep overtook them and for the
first night in a long time Garrett didn't dream about his mother.

Meanwhile the two Margaret's had moved in together finding it easier to
plan their campaign to fight the charges laid against them, and that is
what they did most of the day talk about how they were going to bring
Garrett finto disrespect. While she didn't like turning on her own son and
make him look like the bad one that was the only way she was going to stay
out of jail.

Both agreed it was a case right now of dog eat dog and to hell with
everyone else.  Both ladies had stayed off the drink and reported to the
police right on time when they had to. In fact their behaviour was
impeccable which surprised both their attorney's.

Sally spoke to the head of security and had Bethany cleared almost right
away on her say so and it was about midnight when they both quietly entered
the hotel and headed for Sally's room.

During the day Sally had arranged for a bigger bed to be put into her room
which brought some puzzled stares from the housekeeping staff but nobody
said anything.

There was no one in the foyer or close to the elevators and when they
reached Sally's floor all was quiet so they made it to her room without
being spotted.  Bethany was quite impressed by the hotel and how warm and
cosy it was.

As soon as her door was closed and locked Sally turned to kiss Bethany and
when they came up for air suggested they have a shower together.  Both
ladies headed for the bathroom and the shower took a lot longer than it
should have meaning that it was almost two a.m. before they climbed into
bed. Being in their late twenties and having what was essentially their
first romance they were making up for lost time, which meant sex was always
on their minds and it continued when they got between the sheets in fact
they had only just dropped off to sleep at about four when Sally's phone
rang.

It was the night staff who wanted her in one of the boy's rooms who was
having a nightmare. Trying not to disturb Bethany she crept out of bed and
headed down the corridor to the room in question. After calming him down
Sally sat with him in her arms until she was sure he was soundly asleep and
by the time she finally made it back to her room it was already getting
light outside. Climbing back into bed beside her lover Sally felt so happy
and contented even though she was exhausted from making love for hours and
then having to do her job.

Just on two hours later it was time to get up, get dressed and go down to
breakfast.  She asked Bethany to stay for breakfast saying that it should
be all right and she didn't think anyone would mind.

She was right no one paid much attention to the new face sitting next to
Sally, while the boys were all wrapped up in their own conversations which
was mainly about school and the election.

One big subject at breakfast was the Karate school Davey was planning to
start at the hotel.  Gloria was sitting across the table from Davey and
Johnny and she announced to them both that Joey had said they could use
part of the ball room for the classes and Jacob had already made
arrangements for some brand new mats and any other equipment he might need
to be delivered within the next couple of days.

This put a big smile on Davey's face, when he realized one of his childhood
dreams was about to come true, plus Gloria added, "The local television
station has got hold of the story and don't ask me how but that want to do
an interview with you for the evening news, all we have to do is tell them
when you will be available."

That revelation surprised Davey who began to wonder who told them about the
planned school. Then Gloria continued with even more news, "The local
newspaper, El Paso Times also want to talk to you and they wondered if the
club was for hotel residents or can anyone join?"

It was obvious by now that Davey was totally out of his depth, "I don't
know how to go about running a big club which this looks like becoming, I
mean how much do I charge and how do I keep records and all that sort of
stuff?"

Laughing Gloria said, "Don't you worry about all that Davey we'll have to
hold a meeting a get a committee going to look after all that with a
President, secretary, treasurer and committee members.  It will all have to
be legally set up and then all you have to concentrate on Davey is teaching
and being the best Karate instructor this city as ever had."

Most of the guys having breakfast and they began to get quite excited at
the prospect of the club opening right here in the hotel and it looked like
everyone who lived in was going to get involved except of course for those
on the detention floor.

While Davey was aware that Garrett now lived in the same building as him it
didn't bother him too much became he realized all those on that floor had a
separate entrance, their own elevator and separate eating times and place.

It still bothered him that one day he might come face to face with him and
he often wondered what would happen if that occurred, but he usually put it
out of his mind. He kept thinking Garrett might want to join his Karate
school and what would his reaction be.

He was brought out of his daydream by Johnny Walker nudging him whispering
that Gloria wanted to talk to us both on our own.

They followed her to one of the small ante rooms off the restaurant and sat
down side by side wondering what all this was about.  They were even more
surprised when Johnny's mother, Peggy, joined them as well.

They were both racking their brains trying to think of what they had down
wrong but nothing came to mind. Finally Gloria put them out of their
misery.

"Boys Andy and I had a chat last night and he can't be here because he had
to go to work and Mrs Walkers husband is in Austin but both of them have
given their blessing to what I am about to tell you."

Both boys looked terrified and kept glancing at each other until eventually
Johnny reached out to grab and hold Davey's hand, "We haven't a lot of time
before you guys have to go to school so I won't beat about the bush."

She paused relishing the idea of keeping the boys in suspense a bit longer,
"We have decided that you two boys who are obviously very much in love with
each other should have our permission and blessing to begin living and
sleeping together."

The look the boy's gave their two mothers said it all. Smiles filled their
faces as they sat looking at each other with silly looks on their faces.

"Thank you, thank you." Was all they could manage to get out before Gloria
continued, "Because we are granting you this privilege it doesn't mean you
can stay up to all hours you will still have to obey the rules do homework
and get to sleep at a reasonable hour, plus to make it fair to both of us
mothers you will spend equal time with both of us until we all move into
the new homes Jacob is having built. He has already hinted that you boys
will have your own room anyway." So it was two very happy young guys who
rushed out to join the others for the trip to school and of course that was
the main topic of conversation on the way down the road with all the guys
with them happy that these two looked like making a go of it.

WRITERS CORNER.

A bit of a sexy chapter this time with Davey and Johnny having a fling,
Sally and Bethany making pigs of themselves and even Luke and Pru getting
friendlier and of course Garrett and Jake as well.  Anyway let's look at
the chapter a whole.

Luke and Pru have a big problem with their relationship as they become more
and more close.  What will happen? While the chief is sympathetic but rules
are rules and I'm sure some of the old police guard who still have jobs
would love to bring some of the new guard down.  I also have a feeling that
Paul is just a little bit jealous and there could be problems in that
direction as well.

A lot could happen in that direction and the pair of them may have some
troubled times ahead.

Davey and Johnny Walker, well let's talk about Davey first and I was proud
that he decided not to perjure himself with regards to Jared. That lawyer
would be better just chasing ambulances than trying to head for the big
time right off.

Davey did the right thing by going to the principal who quickly organized
Gloria and Judge Evans to help him get that lawyer off Davey's back.

Johnny Walker took it quite well considering how Davey kept him in the dark
about Jared.  Mind you I don't think we have heard the last of Davey's
first love either so keep an eye out for him in the future.

The other good news for these two guys was the fact that their parents have
decided that they are sensible and grown up enough to live together. That
must have really surprised the boys, if only it had happened to me in real
life. Ha well that was a long time ago and did happen eventually.

Joey showed that he had grown bigger balls than he had before when he took
Sally to task for not being available during the night. Still she and
Bethany soon found a way round the problem let's just hope that Joey
approves of Bethany sleeping over some nights.

I would have thought that Sally would have realized these young guys went
through a terrible time at that place and it will take a long time for them
to forget if they ever do some of the terrible things they had to endure.

Finally and I always seem to leave him to the last we Garrett and the
surprising news that him and Jake appear to be falling in love and that
Jake is showing a more caring human side, even to offering to swing it so
that he can go to the aids ward at the hospital to be with him. Will this
relationship last? Well we will have to wait and see.

Finally the two Margaret's what are they planning for Garrett when their
cases go to court?  It looks like there are going to be nasty messy trials.

Such a lot happening to Davey, his friends and family so I hope you will
keep on coming back again and again to stay up with this story.

Finally my proof reader Richie as spent a couple of days in intensive and
we wish him well on his recovery. Plus I must also apologize for the late
publishing of this chapter but a lot is happening in Jacob and my lives
right now but we are trying hard to get back on track.

            This was an exciting chapter with much happening with many of
the main characters in this story. This helps us keep tabs on them all.
The several sub-plots continue to develop as do the several relationships
within the story.  All of this is designed to keep our interest at a good
level so that we all look forward to each new chapter posting.

            I am sorry to have learned about the several illnesses of our
authors and others helping with the stories.  So far, my health is good and
I am getting much swimming in to keep myself in good condition.  I urge my
fellow readers to take a few moments to email our authors as they view our
