This story also contains boy to boy sexual activity and if this is not to your liking read no further. "What's the situation you speak about, what's wrong and why can't we land like the rest of the team?" Davey asked getting anxious and worried with all this talk. The agent took his time answering, obviously summing up whether he should tell the boys or not, "Well it appears the Russian Police have a warrant for your arrest." They all sat around in the aircraft with the secret service surrounding the two boys on what appeared to be a Mexican standoff. The one in charge got a message over his earpiece and began laughing with all the others joining in, "What's happening now?" Davey demanded to know. The man in charge still laughing explained, "The Russians are now saying they made a mistake thinking you were someone else and you are free to land. The thing is that they are determined to put you off your game young man so that you don't win. You are the biggest threat to their world domination in the field of gymnastics that they have had for many years." Davey and Johnny just looked at each other and shrugged their shoulders. More instructions came over the man's earpiece and after he had acknowledged it he again spoke to the two boys, "We are a little bit worried for your safety, so for the time being leading up to the gymnastics championships you will be staying in the American embassy and not in the athlete village with the rest of the team." Again Davey and Johnny took all this in their stride but then a smile formed on Davey's face as he realized they would be together and not separated. They gathered their hand luggage and prepared to leave the aircraft. As they moved towards the entrance of the plane the captain and his co-pilot both extended their hands with the captain saying, "Give em hell Davey, show them that they can be beaten and remember the whole of America is with you all the way." Davey thanked them both saying that he would as always do his best as they walked down the steps onto the tarmac. A black limousine was waiting at the bottom of the stairs and they were ushered into the back and away from the airport. The drive through the streets of Moscow kept the two boys excitedly occupied on the way to the embassy, which was a grand looking old building surrounded by a massive concrete wall. They were driven through wrought iron gates with US marines stationed at them and then up to the grand front door were the head of the US Gymnastics team was waiting for them along with several other gents dressed in dark suits. As they emerged from the vehicle they walked up the steps to meet him and the others assembled there. Smiling, the head of their team said, "Davey, Johnny, I am sorry about the drama at the airport but the Russians are stopping at nothing to get you off your game so that you don't steal their glory at the games." He then went on to introduce the US Ambassador and several other people before a young cute looking guy was brought forward and the introductions were made, "This is Ian Bryce an undersecretary who will be responsible for you and will look after you here at the embassy." They shook hands and Ian went to stand by their side as more instructions were given, "Each morning you will be driven to our training quarters to spend the day with the rest of the team and then you will be brought back here every evening. You will have security everywhere you go who will make sure you come to no harm. Just remember that you must never go anywhere without an escort, not even to the bathroom. I know this is an inconvenience and more importantly I hope this doesn't put you off your game. While this is putting a lot of pressure onto your shoulders from what I have seen in the past this won't deter you in any way shape or form." With that little pep talk out of the way everyone dispersed. Ian then took them inside into the foyer which was massive with a giant chandelier hanging in the center and a grand staircase leading upstairs. While they were walking up stairs to their room Ian explained the layout of the place and also explained that the ambassador wanted them to take their meals with him and his family. When they arrived at their room and went inside both boys couldn't get over the luxury of the place with a canopied four poster bed the centerpiece of the room. Off to one side was a walk in closet and next to that another door leading to an en-suite bathroom. Ian explained, "We bought this place a few years back from a Russian prince and its old world charm and luxury is wonderful." He left the boys to settle down and unpack suggesting they get some rest to get over the jet lag and telling them that dinner was at seven. Just as he was leaving he turned and reminded them not to spend too much time at the windows because, "Who knows what these Russians will get up to." They did as suggested and unpacked before laying down on the bed together, cuddling and kissing before falling asleep. It was getting dark when there was a knock on the door followed by a voice telling them it was six o'clock and dinner was in an hour. Sleepily they got out of bed with both heading for the bathroom. While they showered together nothing overly sexy happened between them. Within thirty minutes they were ready having dressed smart but of course for young teens casual as well. Leaving their room they had no idea where to go but guessed the dining room would be downstairs. They made their way to the grand staircase to be met by Ian who with nods of approval regarding their dress walked down stairs with them explaining as he went, "The Ambassador and his wife are lovely people who have two teenage children about your ages. A boy Paul and a girl Janet both of whom are keen to meet you." By the time he had finished talking they had arrived downstairs at large double doors which he opened with a flourish. Standing to one side for them to enter the dining room which would seat fifty or sixty no trouble. Standing with a glass of wine in their hands were the Ambassador and his wife who greeted them like long lost relatives. Standing just behind them was the cutest looking guy they had ever seen with sparkling blue eyes, golden curls and alongside him was a girl a bit younger than they were. Again blonde but with glasses and looking maybe because of the plain floral dress she had on a bit what Johnny referred to after as `frumpy'. They were introduced as Paul and Janet. They stood around for a few minutes making polite conversation with the ambassador congratulating Davey on his achievements so far and wishing him luck here in Moscow, "It's a pity you won't be allowed to do any sightseeing because Moscow is an incredible place with some beautiful buildings. I know Paul would have loved to have taken you around to show you some of the sites, but sadly the Russians are being a bit silly so we have to keep you under wraps as our guests, which we are delighted to do." Just then a servant announced that dinner was served and they made their way to the big table set with silverware and candelabras. All this was a bit daunting to the two boys who had no idea what all the cutlery was for until Paul whispered, "Just follow what I do." Once seated soup was served and a servant came around with wine which they boys refused asking for water instead. They were surprised that both of the teenage children had wine, both thinking they were far too young to be drinking. Following the soup, fish was served which was delicious and Davey thought he could have done with a second helping of that. The main course was roast beef with three or four vegetables served on the side. Both boys realized that they were quite hungry and after consuming both the fish and roast beef they asked the servant who served them for extra to be placed on their plates. Dinner conversation was general and the boys found out that the family had been in Moscow for almost four years now and that his term as ambassador had another few months to go. Then it would be back to Washington, more than likely with Paul and Janet heading off to university. Dessert was strawberries and cream which they were told had been flown in from the states as a special treat. Once dinner was over they moved into another room where a big roaring log fire was burning in the ornate marble fireplace and while the adults drank coffee and brandy the boys had a soda each as a treat. Davey felt quite relaxed and as he and Johnny sat side by side on a leather sofa they found themselves talking quite openly about their lives. Davey found himself talking about how he came to be in El Paso and his adoption, also how he came to meet and fall in love with Johnny. Both boys as they talked with the ambassador and his wife found them to be wonderful caring people with even a hint of tears in their eyes when Davey spoke about his past life. They were also interested in the chain of Karate schools they were looking at establishing throughout the states. Admiring that two young guys barely into their teens had such a wonderful outlook on life. After a while the jet lag, the warm log fire and the homely atmosphere began to catch up with them. They both felt their eyelids beginning to droop so they excused themselves thanking them for a wonderful evening before heading upstairs for bed. The minute they left the room Ian was waiting for them to escort them upstairs and they began to realize that they were not allowed to be alone in the house. Ian left them at the bedroom door telling them that breakfast would be served at seven and at seven thirty a car would take them to the training facility. There was three days to go before the world championship began. Once in bed while both boys wanted to make love sleep overtook them before they could get past first base. They had set the clock in their room for six the next morning. With both of them being disciplined in rising early to go for a run before breakfast they were out of bed straight away into a hot shower because the room was quite chilly. They then were dressed for breakfast thirty minutes early. They left their room and headed downstairs without meeting a soul and not being sure which way to go. They opened a door and were surprised to see a vast bank of computers with men and women in army uniforms sitting at them. Two uniformed marines appeared from nowhere taking them by the hand and ushered them out of the room before they could see much of what was going on. They waited with them at the bottom of the staircase until Ian came rushing down to take them into what he called the breakfast room, "You mustn't go anywhere without having someone with you because certain parts of the embassy are off limits and top secret." He guided them to a buffet table full of all kinds of breakfast foods and they were invited to help themselves. They then were to wait there until he came back to take them to their car. Both boys ate far too much breakfast knowing they would pay for it later when they began training but everything looked so good. Halfway through eating they were joined by Paul who informed them that he had been given permission to go with them and watch the team training. "Not that I'm the athletic type although I wish sometimes I was." He said. Looking apprehensive he then quietly said, "Is it all right if I let you two in on a secret?" Both boys nodded wondering what was coming next, "I'm gay just like you two guys, except my parents nor my sister know and I'm too scared to come out to them. I have a Russian boyfriend who I love dearly and we go to the same school here in Moscow but we have to be so careful because it is against the law in Russia right now. If the authorities found out the scandal between the two countries would cause an international incident and more than likely cost my father his job." Both boys stared in amazement at the revelation which had just been relayed to them. Finally Davey spoke, "Paul your secret is safe with us and we feel for you being in love in what is an impossible situation, so please be very careful." Paul then went on, "But I haven't told you the worst of it yet. He is also one of the country's top athletes and will be competing against you Davey. He told me that he hasn't got a hope in hell of winning against you, in fact he told me you were the best in the world right now. He also told me that the Russian team is determined to put out as many obstacles in your way as they can to try and make sure you don't win. They continued to finish off their breakfast until Ian came in to tell them that their car was waiting. All three of them along with two secret service guys that all looked the same with crew cuts, black suits, over six feet tall and with an earpiece. Once in the car they set off for the thirty minute or so ride and the boys noticed that cars with diplomatic plates were in front and behind. At the training area they were met by Jonathon and the head of coaching. Davey introduced them to Paul who once the introductions had been made said that the Russians need to be kept guessing right up to the end, "because believe me they are watching your every move including having a lip reader right now trying to work out what I'm saying, so please be careful what you say even if you think no one is around. " Davey and Johnny nodded before heading off with Jonathon to warm up. Once warmed up they ran around the perimeter for a couple of hours before Davey spent a further couple of hours working on all his routines, but not the real ones. Paul came back in after lunch with a young guy about the same age as him and both of them marveled at the beauty of this young man. He had blonde hair and blue eyes and was very fair for a Russian. Paul later explained that his mother was Norwegian. Paul introduced him as Slavek who smiled the most gorgeous smile while extending his hand for Davey and then Johnny to shake. In halting English he welcomed them before saying in a quiet voice, "I have watched videos of your performances and admire your style and technique and wish I was close to being as good as you." He looked a bit uncertain on what to say next but appeared to make up his mind saying, "While it is difficult for us to be friends here I hope we can all four spend some time together in Madrid." The boys were surprised at this but Davey said that he would be delighted and was also happy that Paul would be in Madrid as well. If they could help to bring them all together they would be more than happy. He said this behind his hand pretending to cough at the same time. Later he confided to Johnny that he was getting used to this cloak and dagger stuff. Training continued throughout the day as usual and was followed by a team meeting. The head coach pointed out that someone was needed to carry the flag in the opening ceremony and he asked for suggestions. The only name all the athletes put forward was Davey's. This caused much discussion between the coaches and security before the head coach announced, "Davey is one of the first competitors, he is up first thing the next morning so we all think he should be rested. So who is your second choice?" Again the yell went up for Davey. After a lot more discussion which this time included Davey who was asked if he minded carrying the flag and would he be ready the next morning for the competition, "No problem and I would be honored to carry the flag for my country." Was his loud reply which brought forth cheers and applause from his fellow team mates. Once the meeting was over it was back in the black car with the dark tinted windows and off to the embassy. Paul was more excited than Davey by the fact that he was going to carry the flag at the opening, "Dad will be there representing the President who as you may be aware is on the campaign trail and looks like he is being beaten. So don't forget to wave as you walk past the American seats and dip the flag to show we are proud to be there." Davey smiling promised that he would. At dinner that night with the Ambassador all Paul could talk about was Davey carrying the flag. Later that night in the comfort of their own room Johnny remarked how proud he was that Davey was chosen, but Davey in his calm smiling way just nodded saying that was the least he could do. They began to cuddle and kiss on the giant four poster bed until Johnny began to giggle, "What's so funny?" Davey asked, "Well I wonder if this is like the James Bond Movies with Sean Connery where they bugged his room. More importantly does it have a camera?" Davey joined him in the laughter before taking his lover back into his arms whispering in his ear, "Just in case it is let's give them something to watch shall we?" Johnny's nod was all that was needed for both of them to get naked and a full on love making session followed during which these two very fit athletes demonstrated their love making techniques which most Russians would more than likely never have seen before. Finally they headed for the shower washing all the love juice from each other before drying off and heading back to bed. Falling into a deep sleep with neither of them moving very much until Ian was banging on the door telling them if they didn't hurry they would miss breakfast. They hurried up and raced downstairs to find Paul and his parents sitting down eating and they had to rush the meal down before Ian came in to tell them the car was waiting. The next couple of days training was pretty much the same as the first and soon it was time to get ready for the opening ceremony. While he tried to appear calm Davey was bubbling with excitement inside and looked as did all the team resplendent in their dress uniform of slacks, shirt, ties and blazers. The team coach presented Davey with the flag which was about six times bigger than he was and he was asked if he wanted a holster to carry it in because of the size and weight, "No, because that way I can't wave it around in the Russians faces." He told them. The stadium was packed to capacity as the entertainment began prior to the entry of the competing nations. With most of the USA team behind him Davey waited patiently for his cue to begin moving into the huge stadium. Johnny was further back in the lineup with the other coaches and officials. While they couldn't actually see the live entertainment they could watch it on one of the giant television screens and Davey marveled at the Russian dancers, especially the Cossacks with their flashing swords and nimble feet. Soon it was time for the athletes to enter and because each country was listed alphabetically the United States was a long way down on the list. All too soon it was their turn to enter with Davey picking up the stars and stripes waving it for all the crowd to see just how proud this fourteen year old was to be leading his fellow team mates into the arena. When the crowd realized who was carrying the flag the cheers almost lifted the roof showing that Davey was popular not only with his fellow countrymen but the rest of the world including ordinary Russian citizens. Back in El Paso every TV was tuned to the channel bringing the opening ceremony and while none of his family were there to support him they were all cheering like crazy. The guys in the hostel had all gone to bed early and were woken up by Sally and her staff just before the telecast began so that they could make their way downstairs to the dining room where giant TV screens had been set up for all to watch the event. The fact that it was the middle of the night made no difference. Every single one in the hostel was there drinking hot chocolate and cheering on their idol who was proudly carrying the flag for his country. Davey's and Johnny's families had gathered in one house to watch their children and tears were flowing the minute Davey proudly stepped into the spotlight waving the flag and smiling. His adopted mother and Johnny's mom clung to each other, so proud of their siblings and waiting for Johnny to come out so they could wave and cheer him on as well. They had heard little news from Moscow since the standoff at the airport with the boys only being able to talk to them a couple of times on the phone and then only briefly. They didn't fully understand why they were in the Embassy and not staying with everyone else in the village but assumed it was for the boys own good. As Davey approached the American delegation in the stands he spotted the Ambassador and his family. They all stood placing their hand across their hearts as Davey smiled, waved and dipped the flag in salute. He noticed Paul standing next to his father cheering and applauding as he continued on his way around the arena. Finally he was directed to join the other flag bearers standing around the dais as the last of the competitors made their way around. Russia being the host nation was the last to enter and Davey spotted Paul's boyfriend as he marched around giving Davey a sly smile as he passed by. Following this was the taking of the oath by an athlete and an official on behalf of all those assembled and competing. This was followed by a couple of speeches of welcome by the Mayor of Moscow and the head of the world gymnastics federation. After that there was more entertainment that was more suited for the young athletes assembled. This was made up mainly by Russian pop stars and while the music was good Davey was getting tired. He didn't have to wait long before the flag was taken off him and placed in position with all the other flags and he was able to go and find Johnny who suggested they head for the embassy. As always Ian and the security were waiting for them and they were whisked away arriving almost at the same time as the Ambassador who greeted them with open arms before arranging for hot chocolate to be served in their bedroom. Both boys being tired and with a full day of competition waiting for them tomorrow finished their drink and headed into bed cuddling and kissing but that was a far as it went before they fell asleep. While Davey was feeling a bit weary the next morning in his mind he was all ready for the competition to begin. His first event the rings was scheduled for about ten so he had plenty of time to warm up and then spend time meditating and preparing his mind and body for the event. In international competition there are seven judges from different competing countries who mark each event out of ten. Being the first in his section Davey had to set the benchmark for the others following him. Once again he excelled himself in this is favorite event and the crowd roared when he made a perfect landing after setting himself a very difficult routine. Again judges take into account the amount of difficulty each entrant sets himself and marks accordingly. Following congratulations from Jonathon and Johnny, Davey went back to sit and wait for his marks. When they finally came up the whole stadium was in an uproar. The American judge gave him nine point five and the five other judges gave him nine point two while the Russian judge gave him only seven point five the lowest mark he could possibly give for the difficulty parameters. Even the Russian spectators were booing and it almost looked like a riot was going to take place. The American team captain and coach immediately lodged a protest and the competition was halted while their protest was looked into. With that mark Davey had little or no chance of being in the medal contentions if the mark was allowed to stand. The judge was questioned and gave his opinion and after much deliberation the mark was allowed to stand. This time the athletes themselves took over with those following Davey including the Russians refusing to continue and all withdrawing from the event. No amount of threatening from their coaches or team captains could persuade them to change their minds and they all sat down on the floor of the podium refusing to move. This protest included all the Soviet bloc gymnasts, the Chinese, along with all the European countries. The whole world championships ground to a halt as others taking part in different events joined the protest. Davey just calmly sat on his chair watching events unfold looking as if he didn't have a care in the world. Finally the announcer came on the public address system informing everyone that the Russian judge had been dismissed and had been replaced by a judge from China but Davey would have to begin his routine again. While everyone went back to where they should be Davey calmly climbed up ready to begin his routine again. This brought forth loud cheers and a standing ovation from the capacity crowd. As soon as they became quiet Davey raised his hand to show that he was ready and when the buzzer went off he was hoisted up by Jonathon to the rings to begin his routine for the second time in an hour. The whole arena became silent as he went through his routine and once again he performed perfectly. After acknowledging the cheers of the crowd he went back to his seat to wait for the results from the judges. He didn't have long to wait this time as the American judge this time gave him nine point nine as surprisingly enough did the Chinese judge while the other five gave him on average nine point five. It was obvious that Davey had won over the hearts of the majority of the Russian crowd who gave him a standing ovation and Paul's Russian boyfriend, Slavek was the first to come over and congratulate him on his great marks. The only other event he had that day was the parallel bars and that wasn't until the afternoon. So he was taken to the American section of the village where he was given a rub down and then allowed to rest until it was time to go back to the arena. Johnny stayed with him and the armed security was outside the door all the time. Davey closed his eyes and dozed for a while with Johnny by his side. While both of them dearly wanted to kiss and cuddle each other they couldn't just in case the room was bugged. While the Americans had all the rooms swept for bugs and some where found, they were sure they were being replaced all the time. When he did wake Davey whispered in Johnny's ear, "I love you." And he got a similar reply back. The team's masseur knocked on the door suggesting that he work on Davey before he goes back into the arena. Davey was also feeling a bit hungry so he had a salad, a sandwich and some juice before having his muscles loosened up. Then it was time to go back into the arena. The minute he stepped inside the stadium the TV cameras picked him up showing him on the giant screens throughout the stadium. The crowd were on their feet applauding and cheering him in a variety of different languages. He waved once to acknowledge them before heading for his seat to wait to be called. It was obvious that this young kid from El Paso, Texas, USA had captured and won the hearts of the world. He began his meditation with Johnny keeping everyone away until he was finished and then it was time for his parallel bar routine. He performed faultlessly and again the crowd roared as he waved before returning to his seat. This time the judge's results were surprising. While the American judge this time was conservative giving him a nine point five the Chinese surprised everyone with a perfect ten score followed by a couple of the other judges following suit. The overall points made it almost impossible for him to be beaten. Jonathon came rushing over to hug him crying his eyes out, caught up in the emotion of the result and even Johnny threw caution to the wind and hugged his lover. All this emotion and the response from the crowd echoed around the world just about bringing the USA to a standstill. The American television network covering the event whisked Davey away to their studio for an interview. While he was being questioned a call came through from President Bush and not long after by his opponent in the presidential race Bill Clinton. Both of them congratulated him on being so calm through all the controversy that morning and wishing him luck in his other two events. Once the network had finished with him Ian appeared to tell the two boys that a car was waiting to take them back to the embassy. They arrived back in record time and as the boys entered the big foyer entrance a loud cheer went up catching both of them by surprise. Just about every one employed in the embassy which numbers hundreds was assembled in the foyer to welcome Davey back. The Ambassador came forward to shake his hand while Paul his son gave both of them a big hug. Everyone wanted to shake his hand or pat him on his back but after a while Ian called a halt and escorted the two up to their room so they could rest before dinner. As soon as the door was closed the two young lovers began to undress each other before making wild passionate love on the big four poster bed. All too soon they were called down for dinner and it was here they had a big surprise waiting for them. Not only had the Ambassador put on a banquet for Davey but a big TV screen connected to a laptop computer had been erected in a corner of the room. As soon as the pair of young lovers walked through the door they were greeted by a loud `SURPRISE' and there on the screen was their families and half the hostel boys by the look of it. Thanks to Skype a big hook up had been arranged and the boys spent about thirty minutes chatting to their parents and friends before it was announced that dinner was served. After some tearful farewells they were told that this would be a regular hook up for the next two days of competition. His adopted elder brother finished off the conversation by saying, "Just wait till you get back to El Paso or should I say El Daveyo. The whole city is so proud of you brother." Davey looked at Johnny saying, "I wonder what that was all about?" Johnny just shrugged his shoulders as they sat down to dinner with about twenty invited guests. Paul whispered during the meal to Davey, "I have a big surprise for you both at the end of the competition." He winked and nodded at them before continuing and explaining that in two months' time his father's time as Ambassador to Russia would be up and they were returning to Washington, " I hope that we will be able to stay in touch Davey plus before going home we are going to the Olympics in Madrid so we'll see you there." Both boys were happy and thrilled with that news because they had become attached to Paul and his Russian boyfriend. By the time the meal was over both boys were feeling very tired, after all they didn't get much rest when they first got back so they excused themselves and headed for a shower and bed. Neither of them felt up to making love and they were content to lie in each other's arms and to sleep. All too soon Ian was knocking on their door and they just had time to have a quick light breakfast before heading back to the stadium. On the way today they got stuck in a traffic jam and security traveling with them got quite worried because being stationary surrounded by other vehicles made them vulnerable. After several minutes of conversation on their radios the head man muttered, "The fucking bastards, won't they ever give up?" Davey asked what was wrong, "It appears the Russians have created this traffic jam by deliberately causing an accident blocking the road." More talk over their ear pieces followed and then Davey and Johnny were given instructions, "When I say go I want the both of you to run like hell down that laneway just ahead on the left, at the end of it will be another car to take you to the stadium. A couple of us guys will be with you and two more will come from the other end as well, understood?" Both boys nervously nodded as security checked around the car before yelling go. They both jumped out of the car and began running like crazy and of course because they were so fit they soon left their two minders way behind. They were relieved to see two others waiting for them as they were bundled into another car which raced away at top speed getting them to the stadium just as the announcer was saying that Davey had only thirty minutes to report for his next event the parallel bars. Trying to look as casual as possible he reported in before doing his warm ups and then meditation. Jonathan and the team coach both of whom were aware of what had happened were furious but on advice from the secret service were told not to make a formal complaint because it would be hard to prove. Johnny said to Davey just before he entered the arena, "Are you ok?" Grinning Davey replied, "More determined than ever to show these Russian cheats that they will never succeed." Johnny laughed slapping him on the back as he walked up the steps to the bars raising his hand almost right away to indicate that he was ready. Both Johnny and Jonathon had to admit that his performance was brilliant to say the least and the capacity crowd also sensed it. When he had finished his routine landing perfectly the crowd went wild and began chanting, Davey, Davey, Davey as he waved and made his way back to his seat. The whole American team was lined up as he walked back congratulating him slapping him on the back, all of them aware that history was being made at this very moment. Finally the announcer called out the scores as the came up on the board, "Ten, Ten, Ten, Ten, Ten that was the most anyone could hear as the whole stadium erupted in cheers, stamping feet and yelling. The fact that the other two judges also gave him ten was immaterial as his team mates hoisted him on their shoulders running around the perimeter of the stadium. Needless to say the same cheers and jumping up and down were echoing throughout the United States. Every local TV channel covered what was taking place even though it was the middle of the night in most parts of the US. Even though it was very late not many homes didn't have lights on as this young kid from El Paso, Texas made gymnastic history in Moscow, Russia. Back at the hostel everyone was up and awake, cheering their friend every step of the way. Sally was in tears clinging to Bethany knowing that this talented young guy almost lost his life. She recalled within herself the troubled life he had before she rescued him, losing her job at the same time but happy that she got a great position at the hostel and met the love of her life Bethany. Davey's adopted parents were also thankful that they had been able to do their bit in helping in the rebirth of a champion. Both Davey's and Johnny's parents were crying and hugging each other, while in Austin the Governor was congratulating his press secretary, Johnny's dad on the wonderful job his son was doing with the love of his life and now world gymnastic champion. Although he still had the pommel horse his weakest event to go he could not be beaten. Finally the stadium settled back down and it began to emerge that the US team looked like going home with a maximum number of gold medals due to the fact that everyone was being spurred on to bigger and better things by Davey's achievements. While the pommel horse event later that day was an anticlimax with Davey finishing up with a silver he was delighted that Paul's Russian boyfriend took out the gold, and he was the first one to run up to him give him a hug and whisper, "Your boyfriend will be proud of you." The next day all that was left was the closing ceremony with a few of the other events winding up in the morning. Seat scalpers outside the stadium were making a fortune selling tickets at incredibly over inflated prices and it was obvious the evening was going to be a sellout. The host nation in two years' time was the USA so the final part of the program was to be an all American one and boy was Davey in for a big surprise... To be continued.... Writer's corner: It is amazing how wrapped up one can get with the characters they have created. While writing this chapter I got caught up in the emotion of the event. Crying and laughing all the way through as the tale unfolded. You might call me a softy but I can see these people as real and alive in my mind. Hard to explain but I believe most writers feel the same way I do. Now to the chapter, sorry if the cliff hanger was a letdown especially to all those who sent me mail on it hahaha. The Russians would stop at nothing to stop Davey but none of their scare tactics worked in fact it worked in his favor because he got spend every night in bed with his lover in luxury instead of a lonely room at the athletes village. Can you imagine how proud his family and friends must have felt when he walked out carrying the US flag and what about that Russian judge? Talk about sour grapes. While the whole chapter was devoted to the games in Moscow we still had glimpses of all night sessions back in EP around the TV sets and how proud he made everyone feel who knew him. Now we have the wait until the Olympic Games and will Davey be able to maintain the high standard he has set for himself in Moscow, plus what is the big surprise during the closing ceremony? All this and more in the next chapter of Davey. Please write me and let me know what you think of this and indeed all my stories. Hugs Trevor Supertev699@hotmail.com Editor's corner. Great chapter Trevor. Like you I was laughing, crying etc. at the antics of the Russians who I believe were actually like that in the past and could still be that way in the future. When it was the Soviet Bloc they cheated like crazy from using drug enhancements, kids of the wrong age whose birth certificates were altered to allow them to compete etc. I love watching them getting beat even today. I am definitely looking forward to seeing what the big surprise is as I am sure most of your readers are as well. So for now, have an awesome day Your editor Richie
