"I can't believe all this is happening to me," Scott said, feeling overwhelmed, accepting it. Alex asks, "How did it go with Carlos and the job offer?" "He's back in the office, talking with his father. I don't think things are going well." "What makes you say that?" Kyle asks. "Who am I? A nobody from out of town. What does he know about me? What does Carlos know about me? Hey, are you sure you want to give me a key? You hardly know anything about me," Scott exclaims, going on and on, in reference to the short time he's known Carlos and Kyle. "I know enough. And what I want to see is that same happy, ecstatic guy I met this afternoon for the first time standing in line at registration reading a book," Kyle renders. "Thanks," is all Scott could think of. On cloud nine Carlos comes out of the back area of the foodmarket, beaming, exclaiming, "You got it!" "Really? A job? How did you...." "I lay the story on my pop as if I were in your shoes. Wouldn't he want somebody to help me out?" Carlos says, shrugging his shoulders. Scott got too calm for words, instead of being overjoyed of all the blessings of this day. "What's the matter? You should be happy?" "I am," Scott told Alex. "Anybody thirsty," Kyle says, which he takes to the next level, hinting for the nearest bar. Over a pitcher of beer, the four discuss anything coming to mind. "So, you design clothing, Alex?" Scott asks. "Mostly up to now it's been briefs, but I'm looking to expand into other areas of the clothing industry." As the conversation carries Kyle tells them about Alex developing his ideas `for comfort's sake'. "Comfort?" Scott innocently asks, "Like what?" Carlos just about chokes on a sip of his mug, saying, "You're kidding?" Then leaning back, the Latino nudges Scott's elbow and points to his lap. "Ooooooh, `that' kind of comfort!" The table erupts with laughter at the response, Scott joining in. Not used to drinking anything alcohol enriched he's flying high. Accidentally, without thinking, he slaps his hand down by mistake against Carlos' thigh, leaving it there. Noticing, Carlos looks to his lap, smiling. He takes the eighteen year old's hand and slides it inward towards his crotch. It's all too obvious to Alex and Kyle something is going on underneath the table. "Um guys," Kyle says, outspoiken, "this isn't a `gay bar'!" "So?" Carlos says, his hips shimmying in his seat. Alex informs Kyle, "I think it's time for the check!" Force of habit Kyle whips out his American Express card, but Alex says, "It's okay. I've got it!" Not seeing their waiter, Alex gets up and goes to the bar, passing a couple of older dudes. One taps him on the arm. "Hey bud, tell your homo friends if they want to do that stuff, to take it outside!" Alex didn't say anything, just proceeded to look for somebody attending the cash station. As he did, he brushed his arm off as if the guy dumped soil on it. "A wise guy, huh?" The big-bellied guy said, stepping off his stool. The guy with him, said, "Let it go, Al." But Al, with too many beers downed, approaches Alex, stepping up close, real close, like almost in his face. "Ya think you're smart, huh kid?" Looking back, over his shoulder, Alex replies, "Smart enough to mind my own business and stay out of trouble." The bartender comes over, acknowledging the customer behind Alex, saying, "I don't want any trouble here, Al." "Trouble, Frank?" Al says, adding, "Your gonna have lots of trouble keeping open, with all these homos in here. Hell, pretty soon you'll be turning it into a fuckin' gay bar!" "Look Al," Frank says, coming around the counter, leaving Alex to still pay up, "I think you've had your quota. Why don't you and Dave just call it a night?" "Well I never thought I'd see the day when Frank McCall goes soft on a faggot." All this time, Kyle's wondering what's taking Alex so long. Sure, he sees the older guy standing near Alex, but figures it's the bartender he's talking with and no idea of the subject matter at hand. He decides to investigate, sliding his chair back and approaching them. "Alex?" Kyle calls out, in between Frank and Al. "Everything okay?" Al is eyeing Kyle up and down, then blurts out, "Betcha this one's a hot cocksucker!" Dave comes over, taking Al's arm, telling him, "Leave it alone, Al." Same time, Frank tells Al, "I don't want any trouble, so I think you should leave, Al." He nods to Dave, as if to say it's a good idea he had. "Hm," Al grunts, adding, "I've been coming here for the last twenty-five years. Maybe it's time to find a new watering hole." After they leave, Frank says, "Sorry about the problem," to Alex. "Your pitcher is on the house." "That's really not necessary," Alex tells him. "Nah. Go ahead. Tell you the truth," Frank laments, "I've got a brother who's gay. Growing up was no picnic for him, but I always stuck by him. Whatever he wants to believe, is his business. I still love him." Kyle intercedes, "Thanks for sharing that with us." Moving his fist to over his heart, Frank tells them, "It hurts me right here when I hear stuff like that from guys like Al. Sure, over the years I've heard him mock anybody who's not an Italian, tried to say things to `correct' him, but there's no changing some people." "Right," Alex and Kyle agree. Drawing up three beers, he places two on the counter, saying, "C'mon. Sit. Have a beer with me." Alex and Kyle look back at the table, seeing Carlos and Scott sitting `very' close to each other, making their own party. Frank notices too, sharing, "They're okay. There's nobody else in the joint. Just as long as they keep their clothes on!" Frank laughs out loud, causing Kyle and Alex to get caught up in the laughter. "So, what do you kids do?" Each taking a seat, first thing Alex does is place his forearm across the bar, offering his hand, "I'm Alex Nouguet and this here is Kyle Dryfiss." "Nice to meet ya," the thirty-eight year old bartender says, returning the handshake with each. Then, out of curiosity, he asks, "You two a couple?" "Well," Kyle says, "I don't think we've been together long enough to establish a `calling' of what we are, but..." Alex brazenly says, "We live together." "I'd say you're headed in that direction," Frank points out, regarding his original assumption. Then, reiterating his first question, to open up their conversation, "So what do you do to keep busy?" He looked at Kyle so he unloads the info, saying, "Well, Alex waits tables at The Coffee Bean for the summer, until he starts attending the Fashion Institute." "An artist?" Frank says, not really up to date on what a person studies at the FIT. "Of sorts. I'm looking to design men's clothing," Alex states. "Nice. There's always has been and always will be a calling for clothes, especially when the trends keep changing," Frank said, insightfully. Batting the conversation back to Alex, he says, "Sounds to me like you're right up there with the fashions, Frank?" "Yeah, well. I'm not one to brag, but my baby brother is a model. He's done some modeling for some of the big companies." "Really?" Then, taking a sip of his beer, Frank suddenly coughs, looking up at the entrance, belting out, "Well look what the cat dragged in! Just the man we're talking about!" Alex, sitting with Kyle between him and the entranceway, softly says, "Catch me. I think I've died and gone to heaven!" Swiveling around in his wooden seat, Kyle's face shows the exact same sentiments, expressing, "Who's gonna catch me?" As they stare, Frank hurries around the bar, rushes to the other end and greets the blond bombshell with a hug. "Come over here, Einan, I want you to meet a couple of friends." Even though Frank met Kyle and Alex twenty minutes ago, he's made a friendly connection with them, seeing they're decent guys. "Hey," Einan says, when he faces the two bar stools, turned toward the six foot blond. Formally, Frank introduces his twenty-six year old brother. "Good to meet you," Einan tells each, giving Alex a long stare, more eye contact than with his introduction to Kyle. Edging his way around the bar, Frank asks, "The usual, Einan?" "Yeah," he replies, taking the stool next to Alex. "So, you guys in college?" Einan asks, taking a handful of peanuts and chucking them in his mouth. Taking the helm, Alex explains, "Kyle will be attending the International Cooking School this summer," then looking over his shoulder, "with Scott - the guy on the left over there." "Thanks, bro," Einan says to Frank when his drink is delivered. "And what about you, Alex?" Not getting any airtime in, Kyle resorts to answering the question, leaning over in front of Alex, who leans back, to open the pathway between him and Einan. "Alex will be attending the Fashion Institute in the fall." "Cool!" Einan seems to step out of the stiffness of the conversation, warming up to the two. "What's your major interest?" Again, Kyle returns with, "Right now Alex designs and makes briefs, but he wants to do everything." "Sounds great. I'd like to see your work," Einan tells them, which propells Alex into an excited mode. "Really?" "Sure. Would be cool showing up to a party, wearing something different and unique." As Kyle fills Einan in on other stuff, Alex goes off into a dreamworld, taking a sip of his beer, gazing into the yellowish tint. He pictures a pool at a mansion, hot guys walking around bare from the waist up, all admiring Einan in a pair of his briefs, his cock and balls stuffing it to the gills. When his own cock starts to twitch, he breaks out of his reverie. "Sure, that would be great," Kyle says to Einan, "wouldn't it Alex?" "Wha?" Then, not wanting to sound stoopid, Alex says, "Sure." Later he would ask Kyle what they were talking about. As the evening progresses, the chatter from the table they've left subsides. Looking over, Kyle laughs, tapping Alex on the shoulder. "I think we better think about getting these guys home?" "1 am?" Alex hints, "Some of us have to work tomorrow!" Kyle reports to where Carlos and Scott are sitting. "You work?" Einan asks, one of the bases not being covered. "The Coffee Bean. Downtown." "I know it," Einan replies, "though I haven't been there in awhile." "I've been there two weeks. I don't recall seeing you there." Einan smiles, then says, "My agent keeps me pretty busy. Here," he pulls a card out of his pocket, "take one of my cards." Taking it from Einan, Alex reads, "Quasthoff Agency... Geordie Quasthoff.. Nope, `haven't heard of him." "Geordie doesn't represent a lot of models. Mostly gay. I found his contact information in Out magazine, so I thought I'd give it a try. I'm glad I did. He's gotten me some impressive accounts. After I started working for him, I met this cute guy at a party." Alex listened attentatively. "I started to fall for Dario. Then Geordie comes over and starts referring to him as `son'. I couldn't believe it. I fell for the bosses' son!" "How long ago?" Alex asked. "Year and a half ago. Since then we've become soulmates and..." Kyle interrupts them with, "Alex, we got a problem." Alex follows Kyle back to the table, saying, "They sure don't look like they're in `walking' condition!" "What's the problem?" Einan asks. Kyle informs him, "We started out with a nice walk for the evening." "Oh, so you don't have a car?" "You got it," Alex answered, in the negative. "Not a problem," Einan says. "I always park my SUV in the back alley. I can give you a lift." The whole night, it had been obvious to Kyle and Alex, Frank had stood in the wings, gloating over the successes of his brother. Now, standing there, he was proud of the fact Einan was helping them out. He smiled, thinking all those years of playing `fatherhood' to Einan has payed off. "I'll help you get them to the back door," Frank says. Carlos and Scott could walk, but not without some assistance. Alex and Kyle helped Carlos walk, while Frank solo-ed with Scott. Over and over, Scott kept Frank's ear buzzing with gibberish over how nice the bar is and how he had such a good time. Hearing `beep-beep', then, "Okay guys," they knew Einan was ready to accept the casualties. Wedged into the back, Carlos, Scott and Kyle sat, Alex in the front passenger side. "Thanks for doing this," Alex said to Einan, as he backed out of the alleyway. At this time of the night - morning, traffic was next to nothing, so he didn't have to worry about entering the avenue. "Where to?" "77th street," Kyle called out. As Einan speed away, he avoided an early morning delay, Con Ed at work, and hung a right turn, left, then another left, bringing them back on route. "You know your way around good, Einan," Alex comments. "We grew up on the East side. I know these streets like the back of my hand." However, that's not where Alex was gazing. Einan had his shirt open four buttons down, just enough spacing to catch some glances. From Alex's view, he could see the smooth chest, a pointy nip formed on a chiseled pec, ditto on the taut abs, as far as hair went. At a red light, Einan rested back in his bucket seat, looking at Alex, who was in the dream mode, then at the place Alex was looking. Einan smiled when he traced Alex's vision to his open shirt. "Like what you see?" Snapping out of it, the eighteen year old turned red. Einan checked out the action, in the back, in his rearview mirror, seeing Carlos and Scott sleeping it off, Kyle's eyes heavy, dozing. Reaching across the divide, he slapped Alex on the thigh, giggling, saying, "Hey, I wouldn't think you were normal if I didn't catch you checking me out!" "I guess," Alex replied, still like he got burnt on the sunny beach, smiling. Even though the light turns green, Einan unbuckles his belt, unbuttons his jeans, pulls his shirt out, unbuttons the last two retaining fasteners and leans forwards, alerting Alex, "Here, help me off with this?" Alex's jaw hangs open, as Einan has his dress shirt peeled over the back of his shoulders, his crotch now twitching like crazy. Taking his seat belt off, Alex leans over and grabs the collar, his hand touching the blond's back. He pulls down on the fabric. Half out of his seat, but not hovering over Einan, he can still make out the thin, darker trail, popping out of his deep navel. Absent-mindedly, Alex mumbles, "Hugo Boss?" helping Einan remove the shirt from his right arm. The light turns back to red, as Alex starts to lose some of the same color. "Thanks," Einan says, pulling the shirt off of his left arm, then, "Here, hold this for me." Tossing the white shirt to Alex, Einan takes off as the light goes green. "You could have turned on the AC," Alex says to him. "What? And deprive you of the view?" Alex is back to the red look, smiling, saying, "I didn't think I was that obvious." "If it was a crime for a guy to check another guy out, there wouldn't be any gay guys outside the prison walls." "And what would your boyfriend think of all this?" "Boyfriend," Einan states. "That's what we are. Nothing more serious than dating." Feeling Einan can be as bold as hell, Alex figures he can do the same! "Well, just to let you know Einan, Kyle and I are serious." Gunning the brake, instead of racing the yellow, Einan shoots back with, "Are you accusing me of trying to get in your pants?" Lightheartedly, Alex replies with a grin, "'The way it looks to me! And oh, by the way... you missed 77th street four lights ago!" "I did? I mean...." Alex roars with laughter, turning to look in the back to see if he's woken up the sheep. Getting to the townhouse, double parking, Alex looks over to the twenty-six year old, his eyes ping-ponging back and forth from face to crotch. "What?" Einan asks. "You better buckle up before waking up the troops!" Smirking, Einan presses his feet on the floor, pushing his hips forwards, adjusting himself so he can button up three buttons on the fly of his jeans, buckling his belt. "By the way," Alex smiles, "nice treasure trail!" He laughs. Leaving the SUV double parked Einan steps out, asking Alex for his shirt. They play a little innocent tug o' war, Alex relenting, with a smile. Feeding his arms into it, Alex stares at the chiseled features. "Still checking out the eye candy?" Einan ribs him. "Checking out the dimensions, in case I ever want to design you a shirt or something!" Walking the three in, Kyle now a casualty for droopy eyes, Einan and Alex drop them temporarily in the livingroom on the sofa. "Very nice place you have here, Alex." "It's Kyle's townhouse. My mom's apartment, back home, would fit into the livingroom." "I'd like to hear about `back home' sometime," Einan says, sweetly. Walking Einan to the door, Alex replies, "Maybe." "Got the card I gave you?" "Right here," Alex waves it through the air. Reaching in his pocket, Einan pulls the cap off a Bic, stealing the card back from Alex. Using his own stomach as a desk, he writes two phone numbers on the back, saying, "This one's my cell and this one's my apartment. Let's do dinner sometime?" "Maybe," Alex says, opening the front door. But Alex gets the biggest shock of his life as Einan reaches between his arms, gathers him up in his arms and kisses him deeply on the lips. His cock is now having palpitations, his heart racing. Not fighting the feeling, he lets time elapse. "See ya," Einan says, on his way out. Closing the door, Alex runs his fingers back and forth over his lips, saying to himself, "I'm in such big trouble!" Hearing a yawn, a voice belts out, "What tha?" Walking back to the sofa, around the reddish brown piece of furniture his attention focuses to Kyle, looking strangely at Carlos, then to his left where Scott sacks out, leaning against Kyle's shoulder. "Um, this may sound strange," Kyle begins to ask, "but Carlos doesn't live here, right?" "It looks like tonight he's going to," Alex replies, his arm stretched out, a cue for Kyle to make the connection. Putting his foot against Kyle's, Alex lifts his lover out from between the two. Scott immediately keels over, his head coming to rest in Carlos' lap. "I think they're out for the night. What do you think?" Alex asks. "Just throw a blanket over them and leave `em," Kyle says, his hand waving as if to say, `the heck with them.' "I'm going to bed." "We just can't `leave' them here," Alex tries to protest. With Kyle heading off to bed, Alex is left alone to fend for the two. Never having tried it before, he uprights Scott, pitting his shoulder against his chest. With a mighty heave, he lifts Scott off the couch, to himself responding, "Wow! I can't believe I actually did it!" Trying to walk was another thing, though he managed to balance Scott in the crude firemen's carry, strolling into the bedroom, then sitting him down on the bed. Immediately Scott falls backwards, making a thud as his back butts against the mattress. "Yup, you're out!" Alex says. "Can't leave you like that," he says to himself, pondering. Even though Scott's shirt has creases all over it, Alex decides to unbutton it, stripping it. "Nice," he makes comment, when seeing the slim bod. Affixing Scott's head to the pillow, he decides why not go all the way and unbuckles his belt. "Oops!" He says when peeling off Scott's jeans. Alex forgot to shuck the shoes. After peeling the socks, he manages to get Scott's bod under the covers. Turning out the light, he goes back to the livingroom to take care of Carlos. Not as elaborate, he strips off his polo shirt and sneakers, but leaves the rest on him, stretching him out on the sofa and applying the blanket. He thought his night's work was done, but in his own room he stands there, hands on hips, shaking his head as Kyle lays there conked out, fully dressed. Going to work, he strips off the shirt, sneakers, socks, pants, briefs and rolls him over to undress the bed, slipping his lover in between the covers. "I feel like a damn housenanny!" His turn, he leisurely unbuttons his shirt, sitting in the armchair, taking it easy, thinking. His fingers move to his lips, reliving the scene with Einan at the front door. A little anxious, he says to himself, "Forget it! Tomorrow I'm calling and setting that boy straight!" Rising up, Alex shucks his clothes, sets the alarm, washes his teeth and then crawls in next to Kyle. % Copyright 2008 T.
