There, standing in his pizza delivery getup, Adriano Valdivieso stood. For the past ten years, the look hadn't changed; light blue, Coronado Beach High School wrestling team jacket, white shirt, dark, boot jeans and boots laced up three-quarters of the way, tied. Atop his head sat a red cap, in shiny lettering, the name `Valdivieso'. In their swimwear, the pair stood there. "Mikey's boyfriend," Raj informed the cool Italian. As soon as he set the red package, containing three pizzas, down, Adriano did his usual post-delivery `thing', turning his cap around, so the visor shaded his neck. "Nice choice, Mikey," Adriano commented. He didn't care for the nickname, but it had become reality whenever Adriano came `round. "Thanks," the reluctant reply came. Michael didn't wish it to sound like he picked Dean out, like a candy selection at the movies. Dean was feeling different around the quartet, as opposed to the gang at school. Boldly, he remarks, "Actually, it was me who picked Michael out from the crowd." This was news to Michael, making him put his hands on his hips, uttering, "What?" The `look', made Raj and Adriano laugh their asses off. Going for Dean's hand, Adriano congratulated on getting a response as this out of Michael. "Good one, Dean!" Not meant to malice, more as an inappropriate choice, Michael adds, "Yeah, if only he could stand up for himself like this, in school!" Too late, Dean was experiencing embarrasment, turning red. However, Adriano took it differently, asking, "You letting some punk push you around?" With little explanation, the truth was up for grabs. Dean meekly says, "Some." "Why don't you show him some of your moves, Adrian?" Raj suggests. "Yeah," Michael coaxes, "show him some of your `dirty' wrestling moves." "First I want to get comfortable. Got my suit handy?" It wouldn't be the first time the twenty-five year old made the Malkovich home his last delivery. First he removed his Coronado Beach High School wrestling team jacket, placing it on the back of a chair. Right away, Raj heads for the pizza, slipping one from it's red casing. As usual, Adriano unfastens two buttons of his shirt, then hauls it off, over his head, pulling it right from his black boot jeans. He sits, the teens' eyes watching. "Nice boots," Dean admires. "Thanks. Anything else you find worth complimenting?" "Nice biceps. You workout?" Adriano had hoped it would lead to this, so he could explain his 24/7 workout schedule, juggled in between running the Italian restaurant. As he spoke, he untied both boots, pulling them off. Next, he ditched the socks, rolling them up into one ball and depositing them into one of the boots. "Sounds intense," Dean commented, even though it didn't sound rigorous. "It keeps my abs taut. You should really start." "What?" "Exercising." Then, turning to Michael, Adriano says, "Like I taught you Mikey. Remember?" "I remember. Maybe I'll start this year." "Yeah, keep putting it off," Raj chimed in, as he gulped down half a slice. "But let's first work on your problem. Huh, Dean?" "Sure, but I'm not really into fighting." "If you don't do something, those punks will be after you for the next year." "How can I stand up to three guys." "I could come with you, but no, you want to do this one your own... by yourself. Okay, wipe that stuff off your face, Raj." "Me?" "Yeah, sure. You don't expect me to pound on one of these sixteen year old's, do you?" "What do you mean pound?" "Oh come on. I'm only going to work you over a little bit!" Dean and Michael were laughing, as Raj held both hands up, backing away from Adriano. "Work me over? I don't think so, Adrian!" Backing up with each foot of advancement, brought Raj to the water's edge. "First manner of insult...'the push-over'!" Slapping Raj on the chest, he fell over backwards, into the pool. "Heeeeeey!" His words became glubs, as he sunk underneath the water. "Me push Jim Hart into the water? He'll kill me! His thugs will be all over me." "Thugs? How many?" "Scotty and Jeff." Michael backs him up, "Adriano has a move for everything." "Raj, get outta the pool!" Whining, Raj hauled himself out of the pool. He knew Adriano wouldn't hurt him, but he just the same put on the act. "Don't work me over too badly now." Adriano over-rode Raj's feelings, saying, "Here, take me by my left arm. Michael, grab my right." Then, to Dean, he poses, "Is this how they grab you?" "Yeah. A couple of times I got slugged in the stomach." The humor slipped away, as Adriano heard this. "You use your opponents as a counterbalance. Jump at the same time and land right on their feet." Jumping, Michael and Raj already knew to shuffle their feet out of the way. "Of course I've explained this one before, but you come down, right on their feet and lean heavy. While they are figuring out what just hit them, you run away." "Desert them?" "Sure, until the next time." "Show him the one with the gut-punch, Adriano," Michael suggests. Raj wished he hadn't! However, Raj knew it would be a fake punch to the stomach and it would be expected to let out a loud gesture of pain. "Ugggggggh! Oooooooh my aching belly!" "You make a terrible actor, Raj," Michael comments. Holding his belly and bending over, did nothing to make it seem like real, with the smirk on his face! "Anyway," Adriano goes on to demonstrate, "while he's thinking of what just happened to him, you sneak up behind him and do this!" With haste, Adriano sneaks up behind Raj. Weaving his arms, entwining them with Raj's limbs, he puts him in a full nelson, his hands cupped behind his prisoner's neck. "In this position... you've got him!" So Adriano thought. "Unless," Raj says, "you do this!" It was a joke performing it, but it didn't feeling like a joking matter, when Adriano feels Raj's heel sock him in the balls. "Oooooooh shit! Ooooh shit!" Adriano calls out. Now, Raj is the bad guy, as Michael asks, "You okay, Adriano?" "Yeah," Dean shows his concern, "that's gotta hurt!" Suddenly Adriano stops his moaning pangs. "I'll live." Then it's Michael and Dean getting on Adriano's case for faking it. The two sixteen year olds try subduing the one hundred and seventy-five pounder, with Raj's help. Along with faking injury, Adriano fakes fighting back. Raj knows he could have put the three of them out of commission, if he chose. He remembers Adriano's tale of the two guys who jumped him for his pizza money. He could have taken Adriano and the two teens easily. With one splash in the water, Michael and Dean joined in, applying some of Raj's foul play, going for the nips or tickling. Of course, Adriano goes along with the play, making the two feel they are winning the cause. All along, Raj attacks the pizza! "Hey! Save some for us!" The three hop out of the pool. Dean notices the worked out bod Adriano sports. Wet, his hairy chest and stomach looked like a runny painting, the brown fur now streaky. He wonders if Michael or himself will ever be as hairy as Adriano? "Get it while it's hot, guys." Politely, Adriano hauls the pizza from the red cases, separates pieces for each, handing Michael and Dean pieces on paper plates, from his private stash. "Thanks, Adriano," Dean cordially accepts a piece. "Enjoy." Dean then gets a wicked thought. He wonders what the bulge in Adriano's pants is all about. Is he in want of Raj, Michael or himself? "So, you get the idea of what I showed you, Dean?" "Sure." "Once you stand up to them, they'll back off." "And if they don't?" "You tell me. I still have some buds at Coronado." But Dean didn't want it like Adriano spelled it out. He wanted to stand on his own two feet, like Michael. He made up his mind to try Adriano's little tricks, instead of relying on backup. If he got beaten to a pulp, so be it. At least he would try to fend for himself. "Oops!" Accidentally or on purpose, there was a reason now why Adriano would have to peel off his swimming trunks. "I'm so sorry, Adriano." "No problem." If either it had been Raj or Michael, Adriano would have put up a fuss over the pizza sauce lying in his lap. "I guess there's only one thing left to do." Adriano well knew what impact of viewing his 9.5c would have. Even soft it looked like a salami. "By the way, anybody who wants a taste of my sausage, is welcome to it!" He looked straight at Raj. % 2B continued...... Copyright 2007 T. Chase McPhee This story may not be sold, nor made part of any collection, without prior consent from the author.
