But here we go, hope you enjoy! Forbidden Love of a High School Boy: Chapter 7 Patience wasn't something I was blessed with, I tried not to make obvious that I wanted to leave but I found myself growing more agitated as it got closer to seven. After a long discussion my parents made it clear they did not blame me for what happened, and were both happy that Luke and I were okay, minus his cuts and broken bones. Of course they noticed my bandaged arm, which I blamed on clumsiness and nothing more. We spent the rest of the afternoon talking about their trip, and listened to dads horror stories about being sick, which had far to much detail for my taste. I casually dropped in that I was going out with Jared that night and wouldn't be home for dinner. I told my mom while Luke was out of the room, I knew Jared probably wouldn't be happy to open the door to both me and Luke standing there. She happily agreed and went and placed an order for dinner, I went upstairs and began to get ready. I quickly hopped into the shower and rinsed down my body, the cool water refreshing against my skin. My mind reeled with thoughts of Jared, I couldn't deny the fact that I loved him, but somehow I was falling deeper in love with him with every word, every look every touch and kiss that we share. I let the cold water wash over my face, and down my chest. I took a deep breath and turned off the shower and climbed out. I quickly dried off and fixed my hair, and looked down to arm. The bandages were soaked, I'd need to re-wrap it. After clumsily re-wrapping my cut and searching for the perfect outfit for Jared I finally pulled on black t-shirt, a white sort sleeve dress shirt and a pair of boarder shorts before I quickly raced downstairs as it neared seven o'clock, and wandered into the kitchen. My mom looked up smiling as she tossed a salad. "You look nice" she said grinning, mixing in some dressing. "Thanks" I said turning as the doorbell rang. I only made it through the doorway to the front hall when out walked Luke from the living room pulling open the front door. "For cryin' out loud", I whispered, if he wasn't already hurt I probably would have taken him down then and there. "Hey!" said Luke as Jared entered the house, his perfect smile unfaltering as he smiled back and looked to me. "Hey... so uh, you guys ready to go?" he asked smiling, looking to me then Luke. Of course! He's too nice to tell Luke just me and him were going. "Ready to go where?" asked Luke, he glanced back to me. "Oh, sorry man I forgot to send you a text! Me and Alex are going to a movie, I got sidetracked after school," he said smiling at me, "... must have slipped my mind". "But Luke if your tired don't feel obligated to go, me and Jared can go and we'll just see you later" I said walking for the door and opening it. Please just let him stay home, I thought to myself. "No! No its cool let me grab my wallet and I'll meet you in the car" he said, quickly going upstairs. I turned to Jared who continued to smile, he held open the door for me the rest of the way. I walked out of the house and turned to find Jared was close behind me. "Don't worry", he said, smiling. "I'm sorry I should have left sooner", I said trying not to frown too much. Jared smiled at me and quickly pulled me to his car and opened the door for me. He quickly went to his side and climbed in. He turned off the interior lights, plunging us into dark, the car sitting under the shadows of his house. "Babe its ok" he said, and leaned in gently kissing me. His hand went to the side of my head. We quickly parted as we heard the front door open of my house. Luke came running over and opened the door. "Backseat" he snapped at me, I rolled my eyes and climbed out and into the back. Jared gave me an apologetic look in the rearview mirror, I smiled at him and buckled up. We soon took our seats in the only movie that hadn't started yet, I miserably sat through twenty minutes of the painful teen comedy before Jared said he was going to get drinks, and casually asked me, being the genius he is, to come help with everything. I couldn't help but grin as we left the theater, Jared laughing quietly as he wrapped his arms around me as we stood in the bitch black entrance of our theater. "Follow me" he whispered into my ear, like he even had to ask. I followed him in the opposite direction from the concession and into the theater where they had the weekly film from another era. This week was some old Elvis film, I walked into the theatre to find it virtually empty. The first few rows were filled with a few older men and women, but from there up was empty. Jared started up the stairs, stopping at the very last row, he stepped aside and allowed me to go in first. I sat down in the center of the row and turned to him and gave him a look. He grinned. "Sarah loves these old flicks, and I've learned after being dragged to them a lot, that they are always empty" he smiled. "So... what does that mean?" I asked, confused. Did he really want to show me an old Elvis film? "It means this..." he whispered, and leaned in, kissing me. His hands went to the sides of my face, as he kissed me more deeply. I sighed, leaning into the kiss as his one hand left my face, and slid down from my shoulder to my waist. I leaned closer to him my hands going to his chest, he slowly broke the kiss smiling. "We need to go back to Luke..." he said, kissing me again, our lips desperately pressing against one another's. "I know" I sighed, his tongue traced my bottom lip. I could feel him smile against my lips as he pulled away, my arms locking around his neck. If it wasn't for the armrest he wouldn't have gotten away so easily, he took my hands into his, after pulling free from my grasp. He smiled at me as I frowned a little. "We need to get back to Luke", he whispered, gently kissing my hands he held firmly in his. "Stupid Luke" I muttered quietly as I followed him from our seats, I heard him chuckle to himself. He still held my hand in his, giving a little squeeze before letting go as we learned the people I the rows below, a saw a few give us peculiar looks as we left. I began to pull out my wallet as we got close to the concession stand but Jared hand quickly stopped mine. "It's on me", he said smiling, pulling out his wallet. "This is technically still a date... but I'll make Luke pay me back for his" he smiled. I grinned as we ordered, the girl making the popcorn doing a double take at Jared. I didn't blame her, he looked beautiful as always. His black t-shirt clung tightly to every muscle of his body, the shirt sleeves clung tightly around his muscular biceps. His jeans clung perfectly to his ass, making it difficult for me to keep my focus on the menu and not making excuses to lean back for a peek, though did I really need one? I'm amazed he isn't cocky or full oh himself, he knows how he looks, and if he hasn't notice his affect on people I give far too much credit. It's hard not to notice the people who turn to look over his body, school was always bad, or even worse with the groups of girls who flock to him and his friends. I'd have to learn to be less jealous. We walked back to the movie, me carrying the popcorn, Jared the drinks. The theatre was filled with a few laughs as we made out way up the stairs and sat down again by Luke who wordless took his drink and popcorn. I sat down next to Jared and tried to focus on the movie but found myself looking out of the corner of my eye at him. He was doing the same. I reclined my seat a little grinning and put my arms on the arm rests and closed my eyes. I had to focus and act normal or Luke would defiantly notice. I opened my eyes as Jared's arm inched onto the arm next to mind, his pinkie began to play with mine. I smiled and glanced to him, he was looking at me, clearly not afraid of Luke seeing. He sat looking into my eyes until Luke burst out laughing once again. He grinned and rolled his eyes, looking back to the screen, both of us attempting to focus on the rest of the movie. We pulled into the driveway after grabbing pizza, Luke climbed from the car and I followed him. I shut the door as Luke told Jared to grab some stuff and come over for movies, I wasn't too happy. This was far from the evening I had imagined. Was this how it was always going to be? Us having to sidestep the truth for the sake of everyone else? I couldn't shake these questions from my head the entire drive. The biggest how often was this going to happen, putting us in second place to appease everyone else? "Hey Alex help me grab my stuff?" asked Jared as Luke walked away, I looked to him and nodded, pulling myself from the worries that were pluaging me. I tried to hide my disappointment and smiled at him as we went up the stairs to his house and he unlocked the door and he let me go in first. I turned to find his hands around my waist and pulling me into his body. I put my arms around him and sighed as my head rested against his chest. He lifted my chin and gently kissed me, his lips pressed tightly to mine, he slowly pulled away, his face looked a little concerned. "Are you ok?" he asked, he sat me down o the stairs and knelt down in front of me. "Ya, ya I'm fine", I said, pushing as much honesty into my voice as I could. "Alex. I can tell something is wrong. Was it tonight?", Jared asked, he squeezed my knee gently. Did I want to tell him my silly fears, even though at this point they were completely justifiable. "Yes" I said quietly, he frowned and took my hands in his, "Babe, we are going to have hundreds of more nights. I promise. This was just one night... and regardless we were together", he said smiling, he raised his eyebrows completing his point. He was right, but I still couldn't shake the thoughts from my head, I couldn't see his point. "Is this always going to happen?" I asked. "No... no why?" he whispered, he seemed to be slightly surprised by my response. "Because... look at us Jared. No one knows... we have to sneak away to be who we are. Are we suppose to always sneak around? How can we possibly do this?" I said, the words come out before I even processed them. Jared's face seemed to fall a little, each word seemed to strike him like a slap in the face. "I... Alex we..." he stumbled over his words, his eyes seemed to be filled with shock. My out lash seemed to hurt him, which made me feel even worse after what I had said. Frustration took over as I realized that I had hurt him, I stood and walked to the door, fighting back the tears burning my eyes. "Alex... please" said Jared standing up and coming to me as I opened the door. I looked back him, and opened my mouth to speak. "I know your upset... mad about tonight but please..." he pleaded, I could feel a tear slip from my eye. "I walked away Katy..." I said, I took in a staggered breath as I wiped a tear from my eye. "Alex you have that said ten times now, and I said I don't care and neither will he go back to him!" Katy hissed at me. "It's the second time I have walked away from him, yes he will. And he's downstairs so I can't. Luke is with him again!" I whispered angrily at her.. "Katy... I think I ended it... I thinks its over" I whispered, wiping a tear that had made its way to my chin. "Alex... everything is going to be okay" Katy said gently to me, I could she was tired. It was 3am. "I'll talk to you tomorrow. I just need sleep", I whispered. "It's all going to be fine, I promise. Night babe, love ya" she said and hung up. I sat at my desk after Katy hung up, I found myself starring at a picture on my computer of me, Jared and Luke. Though the only face I saw was Jared's. I finally put my computer on sleep and stripped to my underwear, crawling into my bed. I turned off the lights and took a deep breath, closing my eyes. I had let everything fall apart because I was mad... pushed away Jared because I couldn't handle one night going to shit. I listened to the fan hum, I listened as Luke and Jared came upstairs and listened to the noise from next door slowly die down. I opened my eyes, I was facing the clock, it said 4am. I had cried myself to sleep that night, but why had I woken up? I sat up and looked to the balcony doors. Jared stood there, he wore only a pair of jeans.. He came to my bed and laid down, sitting next to me. "I'm sorry" I whispered, he shook his head. Was he mad? I wouldn't blame him. He leaned in and pressed his lips to mine, I sat there, what was he doing? Was he drunk? He slowly sat back a little. "I'm not upset. You were just upset... I understand that.. But promise me something?" he asked. "Of course..." I whispered, I could feel tears in my eyes once again. "Don't leave me like that again, ok?" he whispered, his fingertips gently wiped a tear from my cheek. "I can't stand watching you walk away like that", he said quietly. It broke my heart to hear him say that. "I never meant to..." I whispered, my voice lightly cracked. Jared swung his feet up onto the bed and pulled me against him. Our arms wrapped around each others, his lips pressed to my forehead. "I know sweetie", he whispered, holding me a little tighter. "I'm sorry tonight wasn't what you planned on. It wasn't for me either". "I know... I guess I just got frustrated" I whispered, my fingers traced his side. "Why?" "Just... wanted tonight to be special. That and... and I don't really like having to share you" I whispered. I could feel him let out a low chuckle below me. "This is special. Right now, its perfect. And you don't have to share me Alex... just, let your brother borrow me every now and then". I looked up to see him grinning. "Not like that" he laughed, and leaned down to kiss me. "Sleep ok? I'm yours tomorrow" he said. I wish he didn't promise me little things like that, but he meant it. I knew that, even if it can't happen.
